San Francisco Walk for Change (Walk for Change, Featured)
Please join thousands of volunteers across the country on June 9th and hit the streets for the Walk for Change National Canvass being organized by grassroots supporters of Barack Obama. Bring this movement of change to the front doors of your neighbors and sign up now.
AGENDA: The event agenda is included below. If you cannot stay for the full walk, don’t worry. We can accommodate your schedule, so please don’t let that dissuade you from participating.
9:00 - 9:30am Sign-in
9:30 - 9:45am Welcome
9:45 - 10:15am Orientation
10:15 - 2:30pm Walking in the Community
2:30 - 4:30pm Post-walk Party / Collection of Materials
WHAT TO BRING: We are providing all of the materials needed for the walk, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes and layer clothing so that you can warm up or cool down as the weather changes. Don’t forget a hat and sunblock if you are sensitive to the sun. And bring some thoughts about why you support Obama!
PRESS: Local media will be on site. Do you have a story about why you support Obama that you’d like to share? Send me your story through email: nicholas.short@yahoo.com
OUTREACH: So far, we have a total of 254 volunteers registered to participate! Can you help us break 300? We have expanded the event so that we can now accommodate more people, so if you’d like to invite your friends and family to participate, send them this link:
