Obama Peace & Love Beach Bash (Organizing)
Calling all San Diegans to the beach! Come out and get involved! Find out how to get involved in the Obama campaign locally and about local campaigns. Meet and hear speeches from local candidates in our Campaign Village. Bring your boards, nets, balls, kayaks, musical instruments, good vibes, food to share and wood to burn for the bonfire. Bring Items by letter of Last Name A-D Meat, Fish or Veggie Burgers and Buns to BBQ, E-G Chips, Snacks, Desserts or Bonfire Goodies (Marshmellows, Chocolate and Graham Crackers) H-L Beverages -Water, Soda, Kids Drinks M-P Salads and sides Q-V Fruits and Veggies & Corn for the bonfire W-Z Coolers with Ice. Please bring a case of water, bbq and campfire tools. TOGETHER YES WE CAN have the most awesome political beach party in San Diego history! OK, San Diegans its summer and time to do what we do best: BEACH PARTY! Come boogie board, surf, snorkel, ocean kayak, skim board, play beach volleyball, swim, bbq and rangin BONFIRE @ La Jolla Shores! Don't forget your sun hat, shades, sunblock, beach umbrellas, chairs, tables, towels, picnic blankets, a light jacket and change of clothes for the bonfire. We will have Obama t-shirts, buttons and signs available, bring money to get geared up! Come out and meet Obama supporters from all over the county! Carpool, Park n Ride or go car free by taking the MTS bus #30 from Old Town Transit Center or UTC Shopping Center Transit Center, parking is limited at La Jolla Shores!
