Oregon Voting Rules

Deadline to Register:
October 14, 2008.
Voter Eligibility:
You are a resident of Oregon, you are a citizen of the United States of America, and you are at least 17 years of age.
Identification Requirements:
If you have a current, valid Oregon DMV Driver's License/ID, you must provide that number. A suspended Driver's License is still valid, a revoked Driver's License is NOT valid. If you do not have a current, valid Oregon DMV Driver's License/ID, you must provide the last four digits of your Social Security number. If you do not have either of these valid photo identification, a paycheck stub, a utility bill, a bank statement, a government document, proof of eligibility under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) or the Voting Accessibility for the Elderly and Handicapped Act (VAEH).

How to Register Others:
Anyone can conduct voter registration. You are permitted to collect the ballots and mail/turn them in on behalf of people. There is no training required.
Absentee Voting:
No excuse required. All voting is vote by mail.
Dates: All ballots are due by Election Day, November 4.
Early Vote:
All voting in Oregon is vote by mail.
