New Jersey Voting Rules
Voter Registration Form:

Deadline to Register:
21 days prior to the Election Day (October 14).
Voter Eligibility:
To be eligible to vote in New Jersey, you must be: a United States citizen, at least 18 years old by the next election, a resident of the county for 30 days before the end of the election. You are not eligible to register to vote if: you are serving a sentence or on parole or probation, as a result of a conviction or an indictable offense under state or federal law, if you are no longer serving a sentence, or are on parole or probation because of a felony conviction, you can vote in NJ.
Identification Requirements:
Identification may include, but not limited to, any current and valid photo ID: Driver Licenses, Student ID, Government ID, Passport, bank statement, utility bill, rent statement or government check.

How to Register Others:
Anyone can conduct a voter registration and mail/turn in the forms for another person. There are no deadlines or parameters other than the deadline to register.
Absentee Voting:
Excuses: None Required.

May request one from city clerk 30 days before (October 5) and they must be submitted by November 3, or the day before Election Day.
Early Vote:
Early voting is not available.
