Who Can Vote in New Hampshire? You can vote in New Hampshire if you live or attend school in New Hampshire; will be 18 years old as of November 4, 2008; and are a United States citizen. There is no minimum amount of time that you are required to have lived in New Hampshire before registering to vote.

What ID do I need to bring to register? You can register with any ID like:

A Driver's License
Student ID
Work ID
Passport
Piece of Mail

What if I don't have an ID? If you do not bring ID you can still register by filling out a few short sworn statements.

What if there are long lines on Election Day? If you are in line at the time polls close, you have the right to vote.

What if I can't get to the poll on Election Day? If you need to vote absentee because you will be out of town on Election Day, or if work makes it impossible for you to get to the polls, or if a physical disability or religious observance prevents you from voting in person on November 4th, you may request an absentee ballot application from the clerk's or download and print the application.
