The Alaska State Convention is Saturday, May 24th through Sunday, May 25th. The Convention is the final step in Alaska’s National Delegate selection process. At the State Convention, the final number of National Delegates allocated to each Presidential candidate will be determined. That is why your participation is critical. The convention will also elect the individuals who will serve as Alaska’s National Delegates.

I am a delegate to the State Convention. What should I do next?

Attend the State Convention and caucus for Barack. Your attendance is the only way to secure our National delegates from Alaska. It is extremely important that you let us know whether you are attending. If not, we need to make sure an alternate can fill your spot.

I am an alternate to the CD convention. Do I need to attend?

Yes, you can make a big difference at the State Convention by filling the spot of a delegate who is unable to attend. It is very important to get as many Obama alternates to the State Convention as possible. Without alternates to fill empty delegate spots, Barack could lose National Delegates to other candidates.
