Absentee BallotingIf you are going to be unavoidably absent from your county on Primary Day due to duties, occupation, business, studies or vaction, or if you are unable to appear at the polls because of illness or disability, you can still vote in the New York primary via absentee ballot -- it's your right. To receive an absentee ballot: 1.Download the absentee ballot application form, complete and hand it in in personto your county Board of Elections office.
