There is a fine line between history, legend and myth.

Who knows where one ends and one begins.

There are things hidden in ancient stories and texts.

Things too great for our small minds to understand.

There is something else, something more.

The Mysteries – the things we cannot see.

There are powers at work of which we have no knowledge.

There is an ancient knowledge about life and few find it.

It is a treasure more valuable than riches.

It promises the end of suffering.

It promises peace and freedom.

It promises the knowledge that there is meaning to all that happens to us on our strait and narrow path.

It elevates us from being lost in the world to a higher place that offers us insight into all that is below.

No longer will we be tossed by our emotions, like a leaderless ship in the storm.

No longer will we be at the mercy of our demons; restless, tortured by the doubts and questions in our mind.

When the truth is hidden from us, it might be our protection

We always start off with not knowing

Things are faint before they become clear

Everything can be turned to its opposite

From nothing we create and in one instance we can lose all

The greater picture is hidden from us, in God we must trust

We do not see all that we could see,

we do not hear all that we could hear

and our mind does not perceive all that it could perceive

But there is a reason for everything

What might be great knowledge to some,

can bring great damage to those that are not ready.

The blessing of only being fed small pieces,

as the large ones would choke us.

The blessing of darkness to protect our eyes.

The blessing of our small world, so we will not get lost in the large one.

The blessing of simple tools, so we do not harm ourselves with large ones.

The blessing of little knowledge, as complete knowledge would drive us mad.

Sometimes we get a glimpse of what is really out there,

but mercifully we forget quickly, sliding back into our sleep.

North Korea has Shot off Six Missiles in the Face of the UN Security Council

North Korea has test fired six, count them SIX missiles in defiance of the UN Security Council. They have said they will act in defense to any actions taken by the UN. Obama says that they will not get the attention they crave. From what I have read, this means they aren’t going to do squat. They are going to let North Korea shoot missiles wherever they want as long as it doesn’t hit someone. Isn’t that like playing with fireworks? Light up a roman candle and shoot it into a crowd hoping it will miss everyone. All the while everyone stands around and shakes their finger and shakes their heads in disbelief. This is the type of world we live in today. We say that we will defend ourselves and the rest of the world in the name of Democracy and Peace yet we invade a country with no Weapons of Mass Destruction. If your looking North Korea has them for sure dude. We don’t need intelligence agencies to find out.

“The North appears to have launched a ground-to-ship missile into the East Sea shortly after 9pm Tuesday,” said the unnamed defence official. Pyongyang had already launched two missiles from its east coast earlier on Tuesday, after firing three on Monday.

With tensions on the Korean peninsula high, South Korea said it would join a US-led initiative to intercept ships suspected of carrying weapons of mass destruction, a move that Pyongyang has previously warned it would consider “an act of war”.

They shot them into the ocean over and over. North Korea shoots off six missiles and we stand around saying, “Hey, stop that or we’re going to stop the shipment of solid gold Mercedes that you like so much.” I don’t know what type of diplomacy this is but, you bring that weak game to the playground and you won’t last a day.

By the way, all of the countries have said once before, “This is a provocative act and won’t be tolerated,” the first time they shoot it. After the sixth time they say, “lets just ignore them, maybe they will go away.”

First of all im a nieghbor, of the mother of Blair Holt.We grew up together in the same nieborhood. I am not a perfect person . No one is. BUTThier are too many of our children being killed by other children. Why does this happen? It happens because many of our children have been infuenced by a fad culture that has glorified and lagitimized a gang culture, which has had a very destructive effect on our niebohoods here in Chicago and many other places in the U.S. Do you know how hard it is for a child to go against a popular trend with most of thier peers. In order to survive most parents are at work.Even if they wanted to, they would have to risk thier jobs to stay at home or devote enough time and energy to offset the influence of popular culture.These trends are established and reinforced by companies who make a lot of money creating and selling the latest trend.The parents of these young kids who are in gangs, have missed the oportunity to stop thier children from growing up accepting a destructive trend that makes money for a few and leaves the victoms lifes in turmoil. with hate in thier hearts, and the lack of respect for anothers life. Parents are Too busy at work, in poverty, fathers not there, gangs took over, I did the best I could, can no longer be an excuse. Me, you, us, them, we,the parents are the only ones that can stop this circle of violence. Check your children when they are young and they wont grow up killing other children. Watch what they are being influenced by. Watch who they are being influenced by. Know who the friends are they hang with. use your influence, to influence thier friends and other children. Know what your child is up to and who they are hanging with when they are not at home Dont let children raise children. Work together as a group when they are young, sacrifice if you have too, because the next child that is killed might be your own,killed by your nieghbors child. Or youll be explaining why your child killed someone else.Stop depending on the police or govt. to do our jobs after the fact.We as parents are always responsible for how our children turn out.

Perfect Civilization and Peace on Earth

This is an idea or a dream in which people come together for a common purpose and work together to build a better society. It is very complicated and involves safety, shelter, water, and food. The basic human needs. New cities are going to be built that the will change history of the World.

The cities will almost be like cites of today but have no roads and no motor vehicle traffic. The cities will be built to accommodate large and small families approximately 2,296 people in a micro city if everyone has there own bed room. All houses would be built space and energy efficient and may be built as many stories tall as desired. The vehicles that will move the people around the city are called Hun Pods and they will use the same principles as the magnetically powered trains by the Sandia National Laboratories. They would also be on a circuit connected to the computerized grid layout of the city so they would not collide in to each other, be able to move in the fastest way possible from point A to point B, and be able to be controlled at any time. They would be built under ground to not take up viable plant life growing room and to not interfere with pedestrians or bicycle traffic.

Also along the underground tracks of the Hun Pods, electricity, water, waste water, and trash could transported to their respective places. Access points where the vehicles submerge from the sub train would be built where garages and driveways and parking spaces of today are. They will be surrounded by a small fence or building so pedestrians don’t wonder into these access points. Every where that roads would be built in a traditional city on the top of the ground crops of plants would be grown, animals raised, and trails for humans to walk and bicycle. Since no roads are in the city fire hydrants and hoses will be placed everywhere necessary in the city to protect the whole city from fire and be used to water the vegetation. Motorized vehicles will rather have to be sold or stored outside the city.

The objectives of the idea is to create a city that is self sufficient and self contained by food distribution, public transportation, electricity, water distribution, waste management, and security. Main electricity will be attained by placing solar panels and windmills everywhere possible in the city which is used to power the city and sell excess to outside the city. Waste, Sewer, Water Purification, and Recycling and disposal centers will need to be built as soon as possible. There will be a 30 ft. fence surrounding the city to protect from attack and trafficking of illegal contraband. At certain sections of fence there would be a port where goods from outside the city would be dropped off by semi trucks or trains. They would be downloaded inspected and distributed thru the underground tracks. The fence will have monitored and controlled gates for admittance to the city. There will be an office building with large dirt parking lot in front of it. Potential residents would drive or be dropped off and apply for housing and employment inside the city or provide documentation of outside employment. Accommodations will be made for retired and disabled people. Residence entry points would be designed where each person would have to use there own badge to enter. No more than one person could enter with one badge. Visitors must get visitor badges at the office. All residents must have background checks before becoming a resident and if offences committed must take classes that correspond with the crime to “learn from their mistakes” and then be allowed in the city if current employment and current higher education enrolment had. Residence entry points will make it so that everyone in the city to have to use identification cards that will have a picture and other relevant information on it, a GPS device for tracking, and a microchip that grants access to the city, activates the Hun Pods, and will be the key to your house. It will also correspond to your finger print so that only you can use your badge. It makes cities have less crime being able to control everything that goes in and out of the city. Everyone has safety, shelter, clothing, food, and water.

The fence surrounding the city will be on both sides of and lie parallel to the circular tracks of the above ground magnetic train that will be connected to the underground Hun Pod Tracks. This would make safe expansion possible and easy. Just build a track, connect to the initial system, load the train, make the fence, remove dirt for the laying of the Hun Pod circuit layout, lay the under ground tracks, encase the tracks, cover with dirt, ,make the access ports, build the houses, build the business district, and any other things required for the city. For expansion for today’s existing cities, vehicles, residents, weapons and other possessions needed have to be removed during remodel. Fences and outer above ground train would be lain, roads would be dug up, tracks laid, encased under the ground, access points made everywhere necessary, and plants planted, solar panels and windmills placed where the roads used to be. I suggest that the business district should be composed of a Wal-Mart, Subway, and McDonalds at least. Clothing, furniture, home improvement store, and any other company that wants to provide goods for the city also could be built. Universities and lower grade schools should also be built, and High school diploma mandatory for everyone and assistance for learning mandatory. Education is the key to the world and ignorance is the destruction. The Police department in the city weapons would be locked up and officers would only carry a stun gun, pepper spray, and handcuffs. The people in the safe cities could leave them freely but would have trouble getting back in the city if they lost their ID badge and would have to go to the office. A lost fee would be charged to make a duplicate if unable to locate and fingerprints required for verification. The vehicles left outside the city will be monitored all times and recommended to the owners to be sold. Also there will be 360 degrees surveillance of the whole city with gun torrents attached to each individual camera. I believe that this is not only a dream, but imagination, hope, idea, and one day reality.

Will we all be transported by Hun Pods, live in a nice house, have food and water, have employment, have higher education available, live peacefully, have freedom, and protection? Ptaah No, because the whole thing expands itself even more and, firstly, in the middle of September, leads to the big bank collapse, respectively, to the financial crisis in the USA, with what this Crash then spreads itself worldwide to the financial world and on major parts to big insurances, from which specially Europe will be involved in great mass.

Billy. Yes, then something can be expected. Here, however, I have another question concerning the petroleum extraction: How long time can one still calculate until the petroleum extraction with respect to the worldwide reserves is exceeded?

Ptaah It has already been exceeded for quite a long time, which, however, is concealed by the petroleum producing states and by groups of companies.

Billy Is this also the case with Saudi Arabia?

Ptaah Yes.

Billy Yes, the petroleum producers pump water under the petroleum deposits in order to drive the petroleum up to the surface. In the course of time there it can happen that the water rises up to the top of the petroleum reservoir and then, at the end, only this water is extracted.

This would mean the end of the petroleum production. The whole thing would evoke a worldwide catastrophe, because the whole economy would collapse.

The petroleum would get still more expensive and just as prohibitively expensive for the private consumers and for the whole transport sector which is dependent on petrol and diesel oil as well as kerosene.

Through this the transport of food from foreign countries would be stopped the same way as also the transport of other economic goods of every type.

Also the mass tourism would collapse, and the people would go again in vacations in the own countries, if they are then still financially able at all to do it.

The cars, tractors, machines tools, ships, aircraft and motorcycles would become valueless scrap metal and the people would have to go again on foot or on bicycle and on horse carts etc..

Also many products, like every kind of artifacts and articles made of plastic would disappear or get prohibitively expensive. And food itself would be cultivated again in the countries which, however, would not bring much because of the overpopulation and consequently famine would arise everywhere.

In fact a deglobalization will occur in such a case - and which in reality threatens - as well as also an enormous unemployment which in the industrialized states alone could include up to 30 percent, while the criminality and the anarchism would assume uncontrollable proportions.

To cultivate food again for themselves in the own countries, for such a mass of overpopulation as it is given, this is as good as impossible in those individual countries, which would have to go again themselves in mass for the agriculture and the horticulture, because the country resources as well as also the existing farmers the horticulture and the smallholders plantations do not suffice for it, because already too much good cultivated land has disappeared, obstructed, concreted over and was exhausted.

A catastrophe is then unavoidable also with respect to the energy because residential buildings and other buildings cannot be heated anymore because of the lack of petroleum as also power stations cannot generate energy anymore, if these are operated with petrol.

Also the lubricants for the motors and generators, as well as for machines of all kinds will fail and will bring many things to a standstill. And an uncontrollable disaster would arise through which many people also would die in the hospitals with respect to medicines, as well as to the medical equipment, and so forth.

I see the whole like this, if within a shortest time other means of energy production and other materials which can replace petroleum as substitute for the everyday life articles and other goods.

However, to it belong also two materials tar and natural gas, which are not eternally-constant either. Also the biofuels are an enormous problem which can be only solved through the definitive abolition through a prohibition of it.

And, if radically measures for a worldwide birth control finally are not taken, then in fact the great disaster cannot be stopped. If all the evil happens in fact, a scenario turns out then on the whole earth, which can be gladly and well marked as the end of the world or as the Third World Fire.

Now only ask yourself whether the clever heads among the researchers and the scientists as well as the responsible ruling ones are clever enough to find possibilities and to take measures as quickly as possible to prevent this threatening catastrophe with security?

They can only do this, however, if they finally listen to the warning and by taking out their fingers from their mouths in order to create an effective and far reaching measures concerning a worldwide birth control as well as clean and petroleum-independent possibilities for the production of energy and hit the nail on the head.

It is also necessary that the people in general reflect and do the right thing in order to correct the criminal and senseless use of the fossil resources. It is also part of it that vehicles, ships, aircraft, motorcycles and cars etc. are not used anymore for spins and holydays trips and as well as also that no sports and race meetings etc, by which fossil and biofuel find application be allowed and increased and carried out anymore.

Also that vehicles with combustible engines are used in order to drive 100 or 200 metres far to the next shopping purchase or to go to the workplace is criminal and it supports the threatening disaster, for which also that must be forbidden.

And exactly in relation to these enormous and irresponsible destructive exploitation practised in a crazy manner by those which keep various kinds of domestic animals which are fed with the best foods which would be the best meal for the people.

This both with regard to first-class meat, which is used for dogs and cats food as well as also respecting to the different grains, vegetables, fruits, poultry and fish and all sorts of other animals which would be the best food for the human beings.

So everything which is done against the evils becomes obsolete and completely worthless even before it is completed; be it through the nuclear or solar energy, be it through the power of wind or of the water or through the energy produced by the incineration power plants or through medications for the illnesses and epidemics, which more and more frequently and more dangerously appear as epidemics and pandemics.

But also the drinking water always becomes into the biggest problem through the rising overpopulation and in the end it becomes a rarity while the people flee from their native countries as gigantic streams of refugees or are expelled from it and penetrate in the industrialized countries, where they hope for a better life, causing through it, however, more and more refugee tragedies and catastrophes.

Also, as a result, illnesses, epidemics and parasites are taken and are disseminated into the host countries, as this happens also with the transportation of goods and products, consequently originating new problems and catastrophes through it in the host-countries for the refugees.

And further evil develops itself by the fact that more and more sexual intermixing of members of different people always take place, which also permanently leads to big problems and to new illnesses and inevitably leads also in fact to behavioral alterations etc. the more extensively these intermixings takes place.

However, from the whole of it arises hate because of other mentalities, religions and cultures, which leads to evil acts of violence which cannot be controlled anymore in a simple and peaceful way.

Ptaah You understood the thing here, which actually has hands and feet, as you have the habit of saying. The catastrophe mentioned by you already has begun to develop itself, even if the leaders of the earthly governments and the economy etc. do not see yet the whole of it, or simply do not want to admit it, as well as the scientists and the general people do not also.

And with it you say the truth that this global catastrophe actually threatens and closes in, if, as quickly as possible, the responsible ones of the governments and the scientist,s as well as the general people do not undertake the necessary action in order to stop this process already running and do the right thing.

Billy I myself also calculated this as a great probability accordingly to the law of causality, respectively, in terms of cause and effect of what has been for some time and also is presently occurring on the Earth, and what it is to be expected. One must only sum up one plus one, then, by itself, the result emerges as an irrefutable factor of reality.

Since more then 24 years I do have friends in the United States of America and in New York City and other places in the United States of America. Something To Explain About My International Family

You might be wondering how can a man or woman be an WORLD CITIZEN and international?

First, my grandfather Haedi Sabaot, is a FRENCH-TUNESIAN citizen and was a FRENCH ARMY OFFICER stationed in the Germany city of Kaiserslautern, Germany in 1945 after World War II.

He was born in North of Africa and he was a so called Black-African man.

He has been in LOVE with my grandmother, Mrs. Martha Kolcaz (born as Maier) and she has delivered a child: My mother in 1946.

People in Germany in 1945 have been still indoctrinated by the NAZI doctrine. The "Fuehrer" liked not this much so called coloured people and my grandmother was persecuted in the city in which she used to live.

In 1950 she has made the hard decision to leave GERMANY forever and she moved to the STATE OF VICTORIA, city of MELBOURNE in AUSTRALIA and even changed her citizenship from the German citizenship into the AUSTRALIAN citizenship.

Already when I have been a teenager I became the unpaid "family interpreter or translator" and all of the communication by phone with my own grandmother, Mrs. Martha was ONLY in the English language.

Certainly I wanted to be able to communicate with my own grandfather, a FRENCH-TUNESIAN citizen which is missing since 1945. Therefore I have studied and learned also the FRENCH language.

For some reason already in 1984 I became very excited about the AMERICAN DREAM and the United States of America and its people.

Therefore I have placed several ads with the Los Angelos Receycler and other papers which do offer ads for free and contacted some organization to find some pen pals in the United States of Amercia.

In 1984 I have been in the happy position to find some pen pals in the United States of America. Since that early time im in touch by regular mail, phone and in these days also by email and the internet with my FRIENDS in the United States of America.

However I do have a dream, which is to become an American citizen.

In 2001 / 2002 I have been traveling two times to New York City and the United States of America. I wanted to help the American people and therefore I became a volunteer with the American Red Cross, although I do hold a GERMAN passport.

Soldiers, policer officers and many other people got exicted about my nice uniform which I have brought with me from Germany as I am not only a journalist, broadcast journalist and author, but as a secondary profession a registered nurse (R.N.) and paramedic also.

In New York City a fire fighter got in trouble after his own house got hit by lighting. However I have made the decision to help him as good as possible. After our mission was completed in the midst of NEW YORK CITY the fire fighter has said in front of his colleague, my ARC supervisior and me: "I wish you that you will become soon an American citizen."

My hope is that the fire fighters good wishes will be heard in the right and good office, soon, as I am waiting so long and longing to become an American citizen.

In New York City I have been laboring hard, 18 hours and I have been meeting hundreds of people face to face. Even those which lost loved ones after 911 and I guess because if all the impressions and the hard work I got a bit traumatized by 911 also.

However it was a honor to help many people and to meet precious, wonderful and good American citizen, which will be a great example for me how to help the communities in New York City.

My favourite city in the United States of America is New York City, followed by Boston, Chicago, Seattle (because a friend lives close to this city) and some other cities.

In 1986 I became the founder of British Newsflash Magzine (which was called first The Newsflash but its title has been changed to British Newsflash Magazine to avoid any kind of misunderstanding). And in 1986 I became with some friends and colleague in the German city of Speyer am Rhein and the English city of Leeds, England the founder of IBS Independent Broadcasting Service Liberty, Radio IBS Liberty, IBS Television Liberty, which is supporting international understanding since 1986.

The country where I want to live, work and marry is the United States of America and I am longing for to become an United States of America citizen. However because of my international family background in many ways (not in all !) I do think cosmopolitan and as a WORLD CITIZEN also.

For many reason I do believe the United States of America is the defender of democracy and a leader or a leading country in defending democracy and this is another reason for supporting the people of the United States of America.

In 2006 I became with other author the founder of the international media project "Liberty and Peace NOW! Human Rights Reporters" which is dealing with social issues and international human rights issues.

In December 2008 I had the great chance to meet a wonderful and excellent colleague in the city of Stockholm, Sweden as she has received there on the side of Krishnammal Jagannathan, Asha Hagi and Dr. Monika Hauser the Right Livelihood Award by the Right Livelihood Award Foundation which is also know as alternative Nobel Prize - the precious woman which I have been meeting and my colleague in her role as journalist, broadcast journalist and author is Amy Goodman from Democracy NOW!

However I do believe because of very precious citizen like her and so many others, the people of the United States of America and the United States of America are so special.

As U.S. President Barack Obama believes that America will be restored, I do believe the same thing and by the way I do believe President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle and his children are precious and special, too.

Since 1984 I am working as journalist, broadcast journalist and author. Some awards from the department for political education I have received in 1986, 1987, 1988 and 1989.

To be a registered nurse (R.N.) and paramedic is a secondary profession only, since 1993. In the past I have been working also as an ITU (Intensive Therapy Unit) nurse for major German University Hospitals and for the Clementine Churchill Hospital in London in the United Kingdom, also.

Actually I do believe there are millions of precious American people and citizen and if the friends of those people will co-operate for SOMETHING GOOD I believe it will be possible not only to restore the situation of the people of the United States of Amercia and for many other people in many different places in this world also.

So far as possible I am trying to encourage on US NY friends my American FRIENDS to contiune to co-operate and work together for something good in the United States of America and in this world.

I am not a "democrat" -- and I am not a "republican" --- If I had the choice of parties, I would go with a God focused agenda party. We have been "One Nation Under God" since we started. Exiting religious mandates, though, we are vowed to freedom of religion and we watch to not allow a single religion dominate or lesson our freedoms while respecting our fellow American's rights to worship or not worship as they so choose. I think this is how God would have it... we then truly have the freedom to make our own decision... that's the kind of love a father wants, no forced, but chosen. Regardless of where we stand in that decision, we are obligated to love (or at least respect) and allow each other's decisions. Most of us have common good goals and together we can make them happen. This is my hope for the Obama / Biden era. That we can collectively achieve goals which will make this world a much better place.

It is amazing what can be done when we unify. I plan to support my leadership by verbally and hopefully physically getting behind the positive agenda items which will continue to make this world a better place.

My hope is that we can break down barriers to other countries like never before and synergize efforts to wipe out things like hunger & people, drug, and arms traffiking while stimulating the world economy to allow everyone an opportunity to have a respectable trade or job.

My crazy New Ideas for World Peace - X Post

Good Day All: I just completed celebrating Thanksgiving & my birthday with four days off work. I can truly say that I feel especially blessed this year because I'm thankfully alive, my family and friends helped me celebrate and I received the best birthday present of my adult life - the president that I wanted, wished for, worked for and helped to elect - Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. Yay!!! The only damper I've felt in the past few days has come from the dastardly news going on in Mumbai, India.

So, I've been thinking (a dangerous action), and trying to figure out a NEW and more EFFECTIVE way to go about changing the hearts and minds of the overly sensitive hot-headed terrorists of the world. I don't know that mine or anyone else's ideas would help at this point, and we might just help to make them more desparate & volatile, but I believe we MUST use a new tactic or two. Here are my lofty & realistic ideas:
* President Obama should call a World Summit for Peace by asking the top aids and/or officials of all hostile nations to meet (probably in groups with neutral mediators), work towards consensus on at least two issues and agree to a cease fire (no bombings or terror actions) while implementing the agreed upon changes within a specific timeframe. If successful, the countries can work on the next two issues and keep repeating the process as needed...

* President Obama can ask our U.S. foreign ambassadors to team up with our foreign aid workers to put an AGRESSIVE plan in place and begin helping with the food, medical, clean-water, agricultural and micro-economic issues of the people in nations that are hostile towards America. A lot of the hostility towards western nations is due to the enormous gap between the haves & the have nots! I believe that we could bring an end to some of the hostile angst by helping the resentful nations to feed, clothe and shelter those in need...

* I believe President Obama's humility, diplomatic attitude and calm demeanor will also help to quiet some of the hostility that other nations have toward America. I would like to see President Obama give a few reality check speeches to some of America's hard-core opposition nations so that they can witness his sincerity and hear his message of peace in person. I don't think they would be able to resist Barack's charm and inspiration...

Yes - I know these are a crazy mix of hope, pipe-dream and realism but, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the above.

There is only one thing that I want to talk about is "PEACE". You definitely have heard the phrase with Great powers, comes Great Responsibilities. But do you think that great powers are fulfilling their responsibilities. In the name of secret agendas in foreign policy for self benefits every country has a different motive and nobody tries to work in the direction of mankind. But can't somebody work in this direction. I hope this from you Mr.President. Somewhere and you know this the problem of Terrorists, Jihad, all this violence (not all though) is created by big free countries for their benefits. But whatever the reason is, Instead of fighting them and encouraging them by opposing them, doing things that pisses them more. Could somebody sit with them and talk through to achieve Peace. Because this way, they will keep attacking, we will keep fighting them and there will be no end to it. Could somebody set an example. Not just talking but actually doing something.
I am not judging any incident or any particular person. But just imagine, if we go out as we did in Iraq and kill 3 people from a 4 people innocent civilian family, you can't blaim the 4th person alive if he becomes a terrorist. He doesn't have anything in life left. and There are millions of people like this. We just keep giving birth to more and more such people.

I know that you also might have thought in the same direction and same lines, but please do something.

The truth is that when GM finnally announced the Chevy Volt.. the people in the oil and gas indutry couldn't see past thier shorterm profits. So they jacked up the price of oil. Which in turn has effectivly weakend our economy almost to the point of collapse.

We need to expose the greedy, corrupt people that have pulled this shennanigans on thier own brothers and sisters. Is the blame in the Middle East? or since we get most of our oil from Canada and South America. Is the blame squarely on the Fascist Corporations that have been killing our profits for years? It really does not matter who's fault it is. What does matter is that we find a solution ASAP!We can use our our tecnology headstart to bring to the world the wonderful gift that will become the Chevy Volt! We have to save GM, they will save us! This is exactly what is meant by {Treat others as you would be treated.} which sadly has been misinterpreted as treat others as they treat you! THIS IS WRONG We have to help people overcome these afflicting emotions that are clearly keeping us as human beings divided. It is sad that most people in the United States are extremely condesending. Our leadership has created this problem. With the negative and damaging campaign tactics shown in the past. But we can solve it by acknowlegeing and treasuring the good that is happening all around us. We only need to help people to know where to look...

I enjoy reading articles with bad grammar because it makes me think about what I am reading more. Thus helping me remember what I have read! We can all cultivate this behavior throughout our society. We have to lean out of our comfort zones too make this world a place that our children and grand children will be able to exist in. Prejudice and Obama

For me, the election of Barack Obama is really the election of the true American Way. "Honesty and integrity, compassion and empathy for others, intelligence and common sense, and above all Hope married to the Understanding that none of these comes in any color, shade or hue.

     That though unfair prejudice exists, it comes in all colors and is not existant in the majority of people in the United States of America. The United States did not elect a gender or a color, the United States elected a way of life which is the true heart of the people.

     I have long known that the labeling of the United States as the most racist country in the world was untrue. I have been too many places and known to many people of ethnic diversity to believe such media hype. One prominent Italian, speaking of a restaurant and a black worker said this was not authentic because, "You see, There are no blacks in Italy". In Mexico, people are judged by the darkness or lightness of their skin by the masses themselves. There are many more examples of much unfair prejudice around the globe.

     Unfair prejudice does not come in White, it comes in many, many colors.
     That the minority classes helped put Barack Obama into the Oval office is not to be denied. However, it is the mainstream White majority who really put him into office. Proving once and for all that the racism which media sensationalist like to hype for ratings does not really, in fact abound.

     Poverty and being poor, also do not come in colors. "Affirmative action" should be geared toward the needy, not meated by color. Advancement should always be for merit, not for color. For the Christian, this can be seen in a phrase that, "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get to heaven". Meaning that with great wealth comes great responsibilities and a greater temptation for selfishness above charity.

     Barack Obama is President Elect and I am so very, very proud of my country.

America has chosen Barack Obama but most of the world has readily welcomed him with open arms. He brings hope!

It's been only a day and the history made here has rippled across the world in a very positive way. There were worlwide celebrations on his victory including Israel, India, Italy, France, Iraq, Iran, China, and especially in Kenya, where Obama's father was born, and Indonesia, where Obama went to school in his early childhood.

The New York Times released an article describing Obama as a "promise" to rest of the world. Fox News even published a story "Obama: President of the World?" wherein there are numerous mentions of joyous celebrations around the planet. The article is accompanied by a picture gallery reflecting the happiness of the inhabitants of the world. The words like "world community" or "international citizen" seems not that hypothetical anymore -- at least not for our president-elect Obama.

We have to let the world know that we care for you and we will work side by side with you, in your quest for democracy, rule of law and friendly relations. Also we need to show to the world that we will not encourage authoritarian leaders and dictators. Iraq war was a mistake as we know and it has strained our relations around the world to a great extend but we can also build our relations by admitting that mistake and build relations. We also hav eto make sure not alienate countries like Russia ( by deploying missles next to their door) and expect good from them.

One of the biggest solution we can do is to create a sort of country specific desk to certain countries and try to hire people of that country who are US citizens for a long time and believe in America. As an example, suppose we open up a desk for Bangladesh, we know they are in a critical stage in their quest for democracy and election , hire a person who knows the culture, language better. Then it will be easy for us to find out the real cause of their problem and fix it once for all. That sort of a strategy we can take for any country that is in a critical stage and our help in this case would be greatly appreciated. But yes, we do not want to make mistakes like we did with Georgia by siding with them. That was a big political blunder of Bush and strained our relation with Russia to a great extend.

We need to be careful and be the best to the world, as the world knows better, who we are and what we stand for. After all, we are the biggest free country in the world and leader as well.

The Realization of A New World

I think we all realized when PA was confirmed blue that the race was over. My siblings and I shouted with glee long before the West Coast polls closed and it was over. We chattered and laughed and watched return after return be announced. Once the election was called for Barack Obama our chatter stopped and the room became quiet. We didn't jump up out of our seats and scream as we watched the crowds on tv cheering. It was a very surreal moment for us. We expected him to win, but when he did all we could think about was how the world changed in an instant and the weight that was now laid upon Obama's shoulders. My brother was the first to speak and he said "I hope his winning not only changes the way that people view black people in general, but also the way that black people view themselves." Then we realized that my mother had been watching from her room and wondered if she had fallen asleep or was awake and knew. We went to check on her.

My mother was awake and crying, I didn't think she was ever going to stop. It was in that moment that I realized what a huge psychological impact this election had on my parents and the generation before them. My father was born in 1949, my mother in 1950. They were teenagers during the height of the Civil Rights movement, but watched it from two different worlds. My father grew up on a farm in a small North Carolina town where the school system was segregated. His entire K-12 school experience was in the "black only" schools, as well as his college experience at North Carolina A&T. My mother was from the north. Throughout her school experience she attended both black and intergrated schools. I did not realize until election night that while all along I never doubted that Obama would win, they were hoping and praying he would win. It never seemed out of reach to me, but for them it was a wishful dream. I have always gone to intergrated schools, lived in intergrated neighborhoods, had intergrated friendships and intergrated relationships. Therein lies the generational gap.

As we listened to Obama's speech I turned to my sister and said "I feel as if I should feel the way those people felt as they listened to Martin Luther King deliver his I Have a Dream Speech," to my surprise she said she felt as if she should feel the same way also. It was a strange night for my siblings and I. One of my sister's looked at us and said "A black man and a black woman are now the most powerful people in the free world." We just sat there and stared at each other in quiet. When Obama's speech was over I drove myself and my daughter home and went to bed.

I was still in that quiet mood when I woke up on yesterday. It was an odd reality and I was unsure of what to do. I felt as if I were walking around in a zombie like emotionless daze. As I walked into the office building people were smiling and excited and I felt nothing. It was not until an hour or so later when I pulled up the electoral map and saw all those new blue states that some inkling of reality came flowing in. I got chills as I thought to myself "He really did it, he really did it." I did find myself wondering as I ran errands during lunch what was going through everyones minds. It seemed like a lifetime ago when the campaign started and now it was official, we won. It was no longer a theory, it was reality. I was in awe of his accomplishment, but the day went on as usual.

This morning on the way to work one of the local Atlanta radio stations replayed the latter portion of President Elect Barack Obama's speech. From the part about the 106 year old Atlanta woman on forward. That's when it happened. My eyes filled up with tears, I had chills and I felt my body trembling...it's the same way I get every year when I hear that first playing of the I Have A Dream Speech. Reality set in for me today and my world has changed forever. My daughter will always know that anything is possible. At 10 years old she does not understand how the dynamics of this country changed or how the world view of this country changed on November 4, 2008. America, we grew up.

Bush’s painful dilemma

I wonder how much George W. Bush really understands about his image in the world. Does he understand why we despise him so much? Does he even know? Watching his actions and listening to his speeches, you can easily get the impression he doesn’t. Maybe he’s so sheltered that he never gets the accurate information about the depth of contempt we have for him. But at least he knew enough to stay out of the election.

In cases where other world leaders have been despised in similar ways, it’s probably true to say they are so void of normal human emotion they simply don’t care. But I don’t think that’s true in Bush’s case. He probably care a great deal what people think about him.

It couldn’t have been easy growing up with a father like Bush Sr. He’s clearly a man with a highly sophisticated intellect, successful in a long line of different positions and eventually, after a long and difficult climb, made it to the highest office in the country. In the case of the son though, unfortunately he only inherited his father’s outside appearance and very little of his brain capacity. This must have put extraordinary pressures on the boy and been very painful as he realized he would never measure up to his father’s intelligence level. But children are amazingly creative when it comes to hiding their shortcomings from their parents and for the longest time he probably did. While completely unaware of the theoretical basis for it, he applied trial and error to achieve sophisticated means of psychological manipulation, in order to figure out what people needed to hear not to ask further questions, or contemplate his responses. He made jokes or turned on the charm and it worked well to hide his general ignorance.

But there’s always a price to pay and the effort of constantly pretending is probably what made him self-medicate with alcohol for so long, before turning to a religious sect for comfort. The level of pretense involved to make yourself into something you’re not is enough to drive anyone to drink. But the effort paid off, and he was able to portray himself as successful and smart, as long as the tasks he had to deal with were not overly complicated or couldn’t be delegated. But in the White House he soon found himself in way over his head and we all paid the price.

The Swedish ambassador to the United States, Michael M. Wood, did an interview after Obama won the election and was asked the question what Bush will do after January. Apparently the ambassador considers himself a friend of Bush and knew that the President planned to retire to Texas were he would write a book. Hardly surprising of course, it seems most people of power, or any kind of exposure, in America ends up writing a book. But my initial response was; how’s he going to write a book, he can barely read! I know this is a cruel and probably inaccurate thought, but that’s how I feel about America’s current President. The ambassador knows our feelings all too well, so well in fact he knows he will not be staying on after January. He’s Bush’s man in Sweden, as he put it, but I got the strong impression he had never quite found the words to explain to his friend how we all really feel about him.

This must be the most painful of dilemmas for those around the President. I have no doubt Bush is a nice man, if you view him simply as a man. His friends probably think of him very fondly and care about his feelings. The fact that the rest of us don’t see him as a man but as a world leader, and a horrible one at that, must be very difficult to deal with. How do you tell your friend he’s probably the most despised human on the planet?

That’s perhaps the most painful dilemma President Bush will ever have to face. He’s spent a lifetime avoiding reality. Soon it will catch up to him. Will he, in that moment, accept the burden of what he has done or keep on running? Then again, how can anyone fully understand the damage they’ve done to others, the pain they’ve caused or the difficulties they have brought about? Why would anyone want to know how much they’ve hurt people they consider friends?

But unfortunately for little George, he isn’t that stupid. Sooner or later, the truth will sink in. Perhaps when his ghost writer begins the research for his book, perhaps then will he no longer be able to escape. Or when his lawyer gives him a grim look and tells him the other side actually has a case against him. What he does in that moment will tell us what kind of a man he truly is. Personally I think he will pour himself a drink. After all, how do you apologize to a world that’s long past the point of forgiveness?

If Unites States of America can change the Whole world will change. The richest and the oldest democracy decided to change the world will change. As you said President Elect the work just began, there is a long way to go. The change should be clear, honest and slow. The world is different in its diversity. So take change along with each individual nation’s behaviour and culture. Making them sticking to themselves and change for the better. When US imposed things on to the world without knowing what they are it only changed the nation – but not for the better but for the worst. The change should come from you for the better. We as a world should fist sit and look to give food to the world population first. Starvation death and militant wars must stop. If starvation stops the militancy will wane away. Every one should have engagements for the better living else will do something that is not required of them to the nations. So better be engaged for a change and the change will come in fast at thick. Ethos of democrats, socialists, autocrats, capitalists or any kind is great and welcome but should be dealt with honesty and equilibrium. It is not the thought, but the way of deeds that makes this world bitter and chaos. So clearly and change we can and it should be for a great bright future.

Hi XXX,

My name is Lynne, and I can tell you why I'm voting for Barack Obama. Enumerating each of the many reasons is the difficult part.

First and foremost, I am voting for Barack Obama because I have children and grandchildren, and I love my planet dearly. We are members of the global community, and my intention is to protect my family, my brethren throughout the world, all inhabitants of our magnificent earth, and this majesty with which we've been blessed.

I am ready for a president who is smarter than me. I am ready for a leader who not only respects the constitution, but understands it, cherishes it, models his behavior on its very tenets, and can recite every passage, as he has many times in his twelve years of teaching constitutional law.

I am adamant about electing a calm, level headed, deep thinking, individual who is a master of negotiation and has the sensibility to win over enemies with his gift of diplomacy.

I need a leader who is committed to alternative energies and regards the planet, as well as the facts when he makes policy. I will choose a candidate who will bring balance to the Supreme Court, rather than secure it as a bastion of right wing extremists for generations to come. I trust a man who refuses lobbyist influence as opposed to one whose campaign and prospective cabinet wreaks of Washington's most high profile lobbyists, yet who claims to be a maverick and reformer.

My candidate will do everything possible to protect the social security in which I've invested my whole adult life, and will not ask me to risk the loss of everything with privatization. My president will not ask my loved ones to dodge bullets and bombs in preemptive wars, and will not invade Iran as a first option rather than the last. If and when war becomes the only choice, his advisors will not be paid lobbyists for the government we choose to protect (i.e. Georgia).

The source of this quote is NBC News Today Saturday Morning for Oct. 18th - "If the world had a vote, Barack Obama wouild win in a landslide". I would think that this should be sent out in any way shape or form for the next couple of weeks. This could sway some undecided voters. Put out a commercial with this quote in there; I am not sure who the female reporter was who made the statement, but it should be easy enough to find. The whole news segment is a fervent statement for electing Obama to be the next president of the USA. For too long the USA has not cared what the rest of the world thinks of us; it is time to start caring and give up the arogant attitude. I believe that Barack is the only candidate who can change our world image.

Politics is never fair and has several “ugly” heads that arise precipitously, especially during election time.

There are “entities” with ulterior motive to serve their interest over the country’s future that deserve attention by the electorate.

As stated earlier, communication with political figures is not out of ordinary for private citizens, particularly during elections.

However, there are occasions when citizens get involved in the political campaign; the political candidates expect monetary contributions and other assistance to prevail in the elections.

There have been requests from both “Presidential Campaigns” in this regard.

With a firm commitment to help people and their interests, my position has been clear from the beginning. That is, to support… the policies, the strategies and solutions for all the crises confronting our nation rather than a political “rhetoric” or a “personality.”

I share the recent communication with the “Presidential Campaign” of Senator Barack Obama.

The original transcript from the Vice Presidential Candidate, the Hon. Senator Joe Biden:

Barack Obama and I come from very different places, but we share a common story – an American story.

He was the son of a single mom who sometimes struggled to support her kids. But she raised him to believe in America; to believe that in this country, there is no obstacle that can keep you from your dreams, if you are willing to work hard and fight for them.

I was an Irish-Catholic kid from Scranton with a father who – like too many people today – fell on hard times in a tough economy. Buy my parents raised me to believe that it is not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how quickly you get up.

That’s the American promise that Barack Obama and I believe in. And it’s a promise that’s been knocked around under eight years of George Bush and John McCain.

The McCain campaign wants us to think he believes in change – that he’s a maverick who’s independent of George W. Bush. I know better.

I’ve served with John McCain in the Senate for 22 years. I know him as a courageous patriot and an honorable man. But what he is not — not by any stretch – a maverick.

You’re not a maverick when you vote with George W. Bush 90 percent of the time, as John McCAin has.

You’re not a maverick when you boast – and these are John’s words, not mine – that “no one has supported President Bush on Iraq more than I have.”

You’re not a maverick when you endorse the tax cuts for the wealthy that have been George W. Bush’s only excuse for an economic policy.

And I don’t know what you are – or where you’re living, unless it’s is in one of seven houses you need your staff to count – when you say, as John McCain has, that “there’s been great progress economically” under the Bush Administration.

Still, there was one sense in which I thought John was different from George W. Bush – and I have to tell you I’ve been disappointed to learn how wrong I was.

Whatever our other disagreements, I always thought John and I agreed that the slash-and-burn, divide-and-attack, Swift Boat brand of politics that the Bush machine popularized were debasing our democracy and tearing our country apart.

But today, as he seeks the presidency, John McCain has changed. He has become a practitioner of the very politics he once deplored.

He hired a protégé of Karl Rove to help run his campaign. After condemning the Swift Boat attacks of 2004, John took tens of thousands of dollars from their architects – and, with no sense of irony, even put one of them on his “Truth Squad” for 2008.

Meanwhile, John McCain has blanketed the airwaves with misleading attacks on Barack Obama. They’ve attacked Barack’s character and distorted his ideas.

When it comes down to, I regret to say, is that “John McCain campaigning on the high road” has become as much of a myth as “John McCain the maverick” always was.

And America can’t afford another campaign like this – a third George Bush campaign focused on small attacks rather than big ideas – any more than we can afford the four more years of George W. Bush’s policies that John McCain wants to give us.

Barack and I are committed to running a different kind of campaign — one that addresses our greatest challenges and appeals to our highest ideals.

But to do that, we need your continued help and support.

We are going to have to respond to every attack – every one, every time – while simultaneously keeping our campaign focused on positive ideas. And the cost of running that kind of campaign will be enormous.

Padmini, I know you share both our vision for fundamental change in America and our disgust with the Swift Boat style of politics that John McCAin once decried but now practices. And I hope you’ll continue to help us fight back by rushing a generous contribution of $250 or even $500 to Obama for America.

With great humility, I would like to let America and the rest of the world know about the flurry of communication from all corners on different subjects. It is an honor and at the same time a huge responsibility to express one’s opinion and ideas in public with the national and humanity interests at stake.

I have always tried my best in all circumstances to remain honest, sincere and genuine in the presentation of my thoughts. Further, considering the nature of the situation like the general election, I have prioritized my response to the “Presidential Candidates” requests over other issues.

Unfortunately, within Senator Barack Obama’s campaign, an individual with authority is being highly successful with the interception and even confiscation of my communication with both the Presidential and the Vice Presidential candidates.

It is very disturbing and a matter of concern since, such “unethical practice” in tampering with “private mail” is, in essence a “federal crime” and does not appear to bother this individual because the entity considers “oneself” above the law.

With the Presidential campaigns pledging to eradicate corruption and cronyism in Washington, it raises a serious credibility issue when “individuals” within the campaign pose threats to such commitments of tall order.

Secrecy, dominance and authoritarianism is the cause for the “status quo”… the nation brought to a freezing point and any resemblance of this kind in the future administration will not serve in the best interests of the people of the United States or the global community.

Democracy is active only, when there is absolute transparency and access to information at all levels.

The lack thereof, signifies imminent danger with “sense of entitlement” and abuse of “power” in the horizon.

Finally, it is worth remembering that “Man Proposes and God Disposes.”
