Sen. Obama's Visit to Battle Creek MI

My family and I attended Sen. Obama's rally in Battle Creek, MI on Aug. 31. I was overwhelmed by the power and emotion of Sen. Obama's speech. At the end of the rally just before he exited the stadium we were honored when Sen. Obama took our baby out of the crowd and held him. Unfortunately, we were unable to get any photographs of this event. I know this is a shot in the dark, but if anyone took a picture of Obama holding a bald, white baby in a blue and orange outfit at the very end of the rally could you please contact me via this blog? It would mean so much to us to have a photograph of our baby in the arms of our next President! Thank you in advance.

Kennedy's Speech / Opening of the Fresno Office

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be a part of the opening of the Fresno Obama '08 office, to hear Robert F. Kennedy Jr. speak at the UFW conference (and shake his hand) and to do things for the first time to help the campaign. It was a long day, but one of the most exciting ones of my life. I took some photos and have hunted up links to news reports for those who were unable to come or who were, but wish to remember the day.

I'm a published artist and gallery exhibited artist, but probably of most interest to the visitors to barackobama.com is that I'm the creator of the formerly very Right-Wing conservative Christian Faithmouse cartoon, which during the past year has taken a non-partisan direction.

Obama Picture in Photo Contest -- Needs Your Vote

I just entered a photo of Senator Obama in contest being put on by Ovation TV. The picture is of him standing in front of a giant American flag. It was taken at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, at a fundraising event put on by NYC Young Professional for Obama (and with the support of Brooklyn for Barack).

The picture with the most votes will be aired on Ovation, so help out and get a bit of free publicity for the campaign.

It's a daily contest, so you must vote by today (Wed. Nov. 21 at about 5 p.m. EDT). If you are willing to vote, follow the instructions at: http://www0.fotolog.com/contest_main.html?cid=171. (You'll need to create a free account with fotolog.com to vote, but it only takes a minute or 2). You can find my picture pretty quickly if you click on "Most Votes" to sort the pictures in order of votes received. On the thumbnail version, all you really see is an American flag.
