            <title>Kay is a psycho stalker, has extreem paranoia,and blog comment turrets. Eliza Marlow is her tag along.</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Kay ( http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/person/gjHnH ) is a psycho stalker, has extreem paranoia,and blog comment turrets. But she is a nurse and she is upset because I say killing babies is wrong. Take a look below at the comments she left. She even proves herself wrong in one of the comments. Supposedly I am some other blogger that she must be stalking, paranoia? Then attempts to track me down and reports the wrong person to the DNC and FBI for &amp;quot;disabling my messages, which I didn&#039;t do. Will one of Kay&#039;s friends please calm her down? Or someone reading this befriend her because this woman is going crazy on me and I am gtting no responses frome the site admin. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;here is her profile &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Ohh and Blue Blue Eliza Marlow ( http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/blog/elizamarlow ) is her tagalong. She is only slightly less as paranoid as kay. claiming that I posted a false facebook site, whatever that means. Then proceed to impose her prejudices on me, and profile me because she has read a few blog entries that defend human life. No wonder Obama is considering reversing the conscience clause apparently these radical liberels like Kay and Blu Blue feel threatened because some people in this country beleive it is wrong to kill innocent human life. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Reader Comments&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Staying connected in a wired political world.</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;I have not posted here for several months, so thought it would be good to stop by and check in.&amp;nbsp; It is not that I have not been active on the web. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Quite the contrary, I write almost every day and post to several different blogs.&amp;nbsp; My main political blog is called &lt;a href=&quot;http://carol-sandy1.blogspot.com&quot; title=&quot;South by Southwest&quot;&gt;South by Southwest&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp; I have a secondary one that I call &lt;a href=&quot;http://behindthelinks.blogspot.com&quot; title=&quot;Behind the Links&quot;&gt;Behind the Links&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp; I often cross-post to a Canadian political blog, &lt;a href=&quot;http://the-reaction.blogspot.com&quot; title=&quot;The Reaction&quot;&gt;The Reaction&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp; I am a regular at &lt;a href=&quot;http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/blogs/carol_gee/&quot; title=&quot;TPM Cafe&quot;&gt;TPM Cafe&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In order to provide a wide variety and cover my particular interests, I write about certain themes dedicated to the days of the week.&amp;nbsp; Sunday - the Constitution and national security, Monday - a Republican rant, Tuesday - Congress, Wednesday - activism, Thursday - wars and the Middle East, Friday - the Obama administration, and Saturday - news of other nations.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Happily, I joined Twitter recently, and follow several officials, including Senator McCaskill, V.P. Biden and Senator Grassley (his writing is fun).&amp;nbsp; I also follow David Gregory, George Stephanapoulos and other talking heads.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What I am wondering is what is this blog like?&amp;nbsp; Would it be worth my time to post here?&amp;nbsp; Who reads it?&amp;nbsp; Would it be fun or useful?&amp;nbsp; I would welcome comments.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Please Keep it Short!</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Hey, all. When you post, there is a box for the first paragraph or so of your post. Then there&#039;s a box, labeled &amp;quot;Extended Post Text&amp;quot;, for the rest of your post.&amp;nbsp; Not everyone wants to read pages and pages of your post.&amp;nbsp; That is the point of only posting a small portion of your post in the first box.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In the long list of blog entries, anything posted in the first box appears.&amp;nbsp; So if you don&#039;t use the Extended Post Text box, you may be posting pages and pages of text which many people will not want to wade through.&amp;nbsp; What people want to see are summaries or introductions, so they can choose which ones to read quickly.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thank you! &lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Adjusting to the change</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;This has been a stupendous week for our country. &amp;nbsp;With the election of Barack Obama, our long dark night is over. &amp;nbsp;We have hope, help, a plan and the people to get the nation back on track. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;But the adjustment will be a decided challenge for just about everyone. No one with feelings will be able to take in the changes without it being stressful. &amp;nbsp;Due to the effort of adjusting, even positive change is stressful.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>The Future of Social Media in Politics</title>
            <description>You don&#039;t have to be a software developer to be impressed with the way the Obama camp has embraced the internet. Social networks like Twitter, Facebook and this website have all contributed to an unprecedented level of transparency around the inner workings of this campaign. I&#039;m interested to know if there are any plans to continue using these kinds of tools if or when Barack Obama wins the election, to continue this level of transparency into his presidency. The election is just the begining. It&#039;s going to take involved citizens to make real progress in this country. It would be a shame if, after the election, all of these channels went dark. The momentum and support being built up here should continue through the next four years. In other words - please don&#039;t make me delete the Obama app from my iPhone on November 5th. The icon is sweet.</description>

Since Mary Pickford, she was the first actress who would take her faith into her own hands.&lt;br /&gt;She was considering to adopt a baby, in 1962, shortly before her untimely death and decades before it became almost &#039;fashionable&#039; for Hollywood actresses to adopt kids.&lt;br /&gt;Marilyn Monroe was her time ahead, &lt;em&gt;always.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The close friendship between black &amp;amp; white in 1950&#039;s racist America!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;img src=&quot;http://images.quickblogcast.com/42427-38783/Ella_Fitzgerald_and_Marilyn_Monroe.jpg&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; alt=&quot;&quot; width=&quot;385&quot; /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ella_Fitzgerald&quot;&gt;Ella Fitzgerald&lt;/a&gt; &amp;amp; &lt;a href=&quot;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_Monroe&quot;&gt;Marilyn Monroe&lt;/a&gt;, in 1955 (above) and in 1962, (below), the year Marilyn Monroe passed away. In 1955, when racism was still a big issue in the United States of America, Ella Fitzgerald became the first &lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African-American&quot; title=&quot;African-American&quot;&gt;African-American&lt;/a&gt; to perform at the &lt;a href=&quot;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mocambo&quot; title=&quot;Mocambo&quot;&gt;Mocambo&lt;/a&gt;, afte&lt;a href=&quot;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_Monroe&quot; title=&quot;Marilyn Monroe&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;r Marilyn Monroe had lobbied the owner for the booking. The booking was instrumental in Fitzgerald&#039;s career. Marilyn would promise the owner that she would appear every night (and be on time), and this way also fill the house--and she did, she was there every night, and she filled the house and: she was always on time! Their close friendship lasted for many years and Ella would sing Marilyn Monroe&#039;s famous &#039;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMBgZPuyUe8&quot;&gt;My Heart Belongs To Daddy&#039;&lt;/a&gt;in honor of her wonderful friend Marilyn Monroe, who died almost 34 years before she passed on in 1996, at age 79. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Marilyn &amp;amp; Ella&amp;nbsp; &lt;img src=&quot;http://images.quickblogcast.com/42427-38783/Ella20Fitzgerald.jpg&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; alt=&quot;&quot; width=&quot;629&quot; /&gt; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;Please vote for Barack Obama! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Show the world that racism in the United States Of America is now a defeated chapter from the dark past of this country, where an organization such as the KKK is still existing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Show the world that change is possible, that the future is here. &lt;br /&gt;The future is now, and the future is in your own hands. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Vote for the right candidate and make your voice heard and be counted.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On November 4, 2008, please give your vote to the only person who can turn this sinking ship that is covered by greed and stupidity, by a President who is still denying GLOBAL WARMING, while the Asthma cases for children in the USA are on the sharp rise...this person has arrived. And he was making a sensational entrance four years ago, when he spoke at the Democratic Convention, where hopes were high for John Kerry. Barack Obama stands for the American dream, more than any politician, more than anyone who has been running for President.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PLEASE VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA, the President of Change, Hope, Progress and Charisma.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;img src=&quot;http://images.quickblogcast.com/42427-38783/Hope_Progress.jpg&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; alt=&quot;&quot; width=&quot;450&quot; /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;h1 = document.getElementById(&amp;quot;title&amp;quot;).getElementsByTagName(&amp;quot;h1&amp;quot;)[0];h1.innerHTML = widont(h1.innerHTML); &lt;em&gt;Funny Quotes&lt;/em&gt; from Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Obama &lt;p id=&quot;byline&quot;&gt;By &lt;a href=&quot;http://politicalhumor.about.com/mbiopage.htm&quot;&gt;Daniel Kurtzman&lt;/a&gt;, About.com&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p id=&quot;byline&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&amp;quot;They say I need to be seasoned; they say I need to be stewed. And one candidate says, Well, my biggest weakness is I&#039;m just so passionate about helping poor people.&#039; And then the other one says, I&#039;m just so impatient to help the American people solve their problems.&#039; So then I realize well, I wish I&#039;d gone last and then I would have known.. Part of his collection is an original copy of Marilyn Monroe&amp;rsquo;s last will and testament, including many important documents, which he shared in 2006 with the lawyers of three famous Marilyn Monroe photographers estates which were suing Anna Strasberg and CMG Worldwide (Mark Roesler) for several years. The documents that Mark Bellinghaus delivered served literally as the key to this groundbreaking success for the defense and the savior of the legacy of Marilyn Monroe. In 2006, Mark Bellinghaus closed down the biggest exhibition fraud in history: &lt;a href=&quot;http://blogcritics.org/archives/2006/02/06/132111.php&quot;&gt;a $100 million project was exposed with his first blog on &amp;lsquo;blogcritics,&amp;rsquo;&lt;/a&gt; and he also stopped a $15 million movie project, exposed Mary Jane Popp and June Alpino aka &amp;ldquo;DiMaggio&amp;rsquo;s&amp;rdquo; book as nonsense. He also exposed Dolores Hope Masi, Bebe Goddard, Robert Otto, Jeanne Carmen, etc. The list goes on and on. &lt;br /&gt;In Oct. 2007, he successfully exposed, together with journalist Jennifer J. Dickinson another exhibit, this time in Great Britain (&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/Marilyn-Monroe-dresses-labelled-39fake39.3886206.jp&quot;&gt;the &amp;lsquo;lost&amp;rsquo; Marilyn Monroe William Travilla costume collection&lt;/a&gt;) as a complete hoax. In 1955, when racism was still a big issue in the United States of America, Ella Fitzgerald became the first African-American to perform at the Mocambo, after Marilyn Monroe had lobbied the owner for the booking. The booking was instrumental in Fitzgerald&#039;s career. Marilyn would promise the owner that she would appear every night (and be on time), and this way also fill the house--and she did, she was there every night, and she filled the house and: she was always on time! Their close friendship lasted for many years and Ella would sing Marilyn Monroe&#039;s famous &#039;My Heart Belongs To Daddy&#039; in honor of her wonderful friend Marilyn Monroe, who died almost 34 years before she passed on in 1996, at age 79. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt; Barack Obama Quotes:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &#039;They say I need to be seasoned; they say I need to be stewed. They say, &#039;We need to boil all the hope out of him -- like us -- and then he&#039;ll be ready.&#039;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &#039;I have nothing to hide, I enjoy being myself. I&#039;m not going to change who I am just because it&#039;s Halloween.&amp;quot; -appearing as himself on Saturday Night Live as part of a skit that featured Hillary Clinton dressed as a witch at a Halloween party&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; *&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &#039;It&#039;s like I was shot out of a cannon. I&#039;m so overexposed that I make Paris Hilton look like a recluse.&#039;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &#039;Hillary is not the first politician in Washington to declare &#039;Mission Accomplished&#039; a little too soon.&#039;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Marilyn Monroe singing Happy Birthday to President John F. <title>Granny Goes Viral - Viral Video, That Is!</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Well - it&#039;s full steam ahead for my grandmother and her blog. She is consistently posting thoughts to her webiste at &lt;a href=&quot;http://my.barackobama.com/85andchange.com&quot; title=&quot;85 And Change - Granny Gobama&quot;&gt;85andchange.com&lt;/a&gt;, and her fan base keeps growing. She continues to receive great feedback from old and young. Everyone seems to be so appreciative that a senior citizen has spoken up and made it easier for other senior citizens to fall in line. As we saw in the numbers today - senior citizens are really starting to break for Barack Obama and Joe Biden! Others have said how they are so grateful that she has provided them a way to bridge a gap between grandparents and grandchildren and given them something to talk about with each other.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And if writing on her blog was not enough - she now has a video, too! You can find her video at her website (&lt;a href=&quot;http://my.barackobama.com/85andchange.com&quot; title=&quot;85 And Change - Granny Gobama&quot;&gt;85andchange.com&lt;/a&gt;) or you can find it on &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/user/GrannyGobama&quot; title=&quot;Granny Gobama on You Tube!&quot;&gt;You Tube&lt;/a&gt;! My smart, hip grandmother speaks up any chance she has and lets people know they are never to old - or young - for change! &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Just this week, Granny Gobama met a couple influential people - Kathleen Kennedy Townsend &amp;amp; Alice Travis Germond - not to mention Heather Tom, as well! Meeting all of these women was a thrill for her. She found Kathleen Kennedy to be a thoughtful and inspiring speaker, and Alice Germond to be so enthusiastic and energetic. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Please take a moment to visit her site and pass the link on to anyone who may read (or watch) about why it is important for seniors, and everyone, to think long and hard about this important upcoming election - and why they should &lt;strong&gt;seriously&lt;/strong&gt; consider voting for Barack Obama! &lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Just a Quick Note....</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Just wanted to tell you that I&#039;ve been posting for several days now on my&lt;a href=&quot;http://myspace.com/debbiemahler&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; title=&quot;Debbie Mahler&#039;s MySpace blog&quot;&gt; MySpace page&lt;/a&gt; about the campaign. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;My most recent post deals with the truth about the&lt;strong&gt; tax plans&lt;/strong&gt; of both candidates. I was so glad that &lt;strong&gt;CNN - Anderson Cooper 360&lt;/strong&gt; showed us the tax chart. It really gives a visual of where the two candidates stand!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/dm9510/TaxPlan.jpg&quot; alt=&quot;&quot; width=&quot;553&quot; height=&quot;469&quot; /&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;I also restructured it putting the lower income on top and the higher incomes on the bottom to show the progression along with making sure people understand that the minus means they are saving on their taxes!&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;I also pointed out in my blog that &lt;strong&gt;I didn&#039;t think that this included the Earned Income Tax Credit for the lower income. I hope I was right about that?Clarification would be greatly appreciated. Anyone?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Anyone who would like the graphic can contact me and I&#039;ll send it to them. We really need to get this information out! Stick to the policies and issues!&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Oh noes! Not another blog!</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Drat. I just lost my entire post. Starting over.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I don&#039;t have time for yet another blog. Practically every social networking site wants you to have a blog with them, to create user-generated content and keep eyes in their pages. Mostly I either skip it or leave a single entry pointing to my real blog. This particular site is a little different in purpose and focus, but even so, I don&#039;t have time to maintain multiple blogs all over Cyberspace.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So here is what I&#039;m going to do. When I write something political on my real blog, I will precis and link to it here. If you like those entries, you can then click on the &amp;quot;&lt;a href=&quot;http://outmavarin.blogspot.com/search/label/Politics&quot; title=&quot;Politics tag&quot;&gt;Politics&lt;/a&gt;&amp;quot; tag for more on the subject, or explore the rest of my blog for rants and rambles about dogs, Tucson, the monsoon, art, my church, &lt;em&gt;Doctor Who&lt;/em&gt;, jobs, writing, etc., and lots of pictures of dogs, sunsets, monsoon clouds, Disneyland and local landmarks. Fair enough?&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To start you off, here are links to my most recent politics-related entries:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;a href=&quot;http://outmavarin.blogspot.com/2008/08/weekend-assignment-231-candidates-with.html&quot;&gt;Weekend Assignment #231: Candidates With a Difference&lt;/a&gt; (August 29, 2008)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I post a Weekend Assignment writing prompt every Thursday night, usually after midnight. In the current one, I ask, &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Who is the most unusual political candidate you have ever supported, either seriously or in jest?&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; My own answer: Howard the Duck! (But yes, I still voted for Carter that year.)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://outmavarin.blogspot.com/2008/08/no-one-quite-gets-it-right.html&quot;&gt;No One Quite Gets It Right&lt;/a&gt; (August 28, 2008) &lt;p&gt;Scroll down to get to my review of the Obama and Gabrielle Giffords web sites.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://outmavarin.blogspot.com/2008/07/chasing-invisible-motorcade.html&quot;&gt;Chasing the Invisible Motorcade&lt;/a&gt; (July 19, 2008)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;GWB came to Tucson for a Tim Bee fundraiser. My commute coincided with the motorcade route. I photographed the preparations, including sign-carrying activists on both sides of the political divide. Funny thing: nearly all the Democrats were diverted to an intersection miles away from the action. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://outmavarin.blogspot.com/2008/07/defending-constitution.html&quot;&gt;Defending the Constitution &lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; (July 05, 2008)&lt;/p&gt;This was my rant after a robocall poll asked whether I was in favor of dumping the U.S. Constitution. Needless to say, I was deeply shocked.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;That&#039;s enough for now! &lt;/p&gt;Karen</description>

            <title>Blogging for Barack, Caroline Kennedy,Michael Moore, Dr. Howard Dean, the failed FDA, and Victory in November</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I sure like Michael Moore&#039;s idea of Caroline Kennedy running as &lt;br /&gt;Obama&#039;s Vice President, and tomorrow, Howard Dean III, M.D., is coming to &lt;br /&gt;Santa Fe, and I will have a chance to ask him about my deepest concern, &lt;br /&gt;overhauling the FDA with a true consumer protectionist as Commissioner, not &lt;br /&gt;the corporate-serving lackey we have right now.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I decided to join 112 Obama groups, some at the official website, and &lt;br /&gt;some interesting sounding Obama Yahoo! and one Google group located in &lt;br /&gt;Colorado. I get 1200-2000 emails a day, and it is an amazing flow of &lt;br /&gt;information. Recently, the news about Musharraf &amp;ldquo;resigning&amp;rdquo;appeared on the &lt;br /&gt;Net at least 36 hours before it came out in the New Mexican, the &amp;quot;oldest &lt;br /&gt;paper in the West.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; On the other hand, my wise friend who graduated from St. John&amp;rsquo;s College&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;believes the &amp;ldquo;cool&amp;rdquo; or &amp;ldquo;cold&amp;rdquo; media, in which he included newspaper, &lt;br /&gt;magazines, and books, ultimately had a much greater effect on the recipient &lt;br /&gt;than the jillions of bits of information pouring in off the Internet.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; At times, with 112 groups&amp;rsquo; membership, including some strange ones &lt;br /&gt;(LasVegasAgnosticsAtheistsforObama), Secular Humanist (my favorite), some &lt;br /&gt;funny ones (PoliticallyNCorrectisOK), and the high-powered Action Teams in &lt;br /&gt;all of the key states, the flow of information at times resembles&amp;nbsp; looking &lt;br /&gt;up at Niagara Falls, from that little boat below, the Maid of the Mist. At &lt;br /&gt;other times, I notice a real self-congratulatory narcissistic attitude in &lt;br /&gt;the groups, as if to say, &amp;ldquo;Aren&amp;rsquo;t we cool?&amp;rdquo; and not nearly enough of the &lt;br /&gt;real mechanics of politics, the door to door, the articles to hang from the &lt;br /&gt;door, getting the people to the Polls, etc., all of which may be boring to &lt;br /&gt;many, but is the pulse of not only who is in the White House for the next 4 &lt;br /&gt;to 8 years, but whether the Senate has a filibuster-proof 60 Democrats. The &lt;br /&gt;people who like that and are good at that are out doing just that, not &lt;br /&gt;yakking it up on the Internet, basking in the ill-founded Kaffee Klatch &lt;br /&gt;milieu that seems to be the result of useless Liberal Arts Degrees from many &lt;br /&gt;years ago.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; It will be a very tight election, because of that supposed 16% of &lt;br /&gt;American voters who are outright or secret BIGOTS, who will vote against &lt;br /&gt;Obama above all, even with all of the bloggers, the right TV ads, the &lt;br /&gt;Unions, the traditional Democrat alliance between Jews, Negroes, Minorities, &lt;br /&gt;Intellectuals, Indians, etc., the victorious debates, as so on. Some say it &lt;br /&gt;is always decided in the last 4 days anyway, which I don&amp;rsquo;t think is true &lt;br /&gt;with this election. Such a large percentage of Americans recognize the &lt;br /&gt;absolutely calamitous disastrous economic effects of 8 years of &lt;br /&gt;Bushies/Neocons/Cheney/Blackwater/Kellogg Brown and Root/the Pentagon and &lt;br /&gt;the Industrialists, etc.: I don&amp;rsquo;t see how any thinking American could not &lt;br /&gt;vote for Obama, but, have I been wrong before? Yes.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The bloggers will get out in due course and eventually Pound the &lt;br /&gt;Pavement; at least, I know for sure that Obama&#039;s Campaign Manager, a few &lt;br /&gt;others, and me, will ask them to do that, and I will be sending at least &lt;br /&gt;400,000 people emails with encouragement to get strategic and cut the &lt;br /&gt;yakking till after the Election.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; But the observations about the effects of the Internet on Society (more &lt;br /&gt;than Politics) are very compelling and very interesting. Marshall McLuhan &lt;br /&gt;posited many years ago that all of this electronic communication and related &lt;br /&gt;advances would eventually create The Global Village, but obviously, the &lt;br /&gt;cohesion is very thin, if it there at all, eh?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Rather than any advanced form of communication, some see serious&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;Blogging as a new form of Insanity, recognized by the Medical Profession as &lt;br /&gt;a brand new syndrome, and others see it as just plain old Lemming-like &lt;br /&gt;behavior, especially in the political context. I have a keener perception of &lt;br /&gt;how the Internet has requited at least 50% of the compulsion to read several &lt;br /&gt;daily newspapers, and let me tell you in conclusion: there sure are a lot of &lt;br /&gt;really smart people Blogging for Obama, and I am sure we are going to win. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Stephen Fox, Contributing Editor, Santa Fe Sun News&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Everyone should make their own Blog Page!</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;I just created a Google Blog (free) and it took a few short minutes to create a blog directing people to support Barack by donating to his campaign. I linked it to my fund raising page here. All of us should do it and spread the word to everyone we know to create blog pages to support Barack.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The election is closer than your realize and the money is going to have to keep coming in floods!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Here&#039;s my page as an example: http://supportbarackobamatoday.blogspot.com/&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Pass it around and tell everyone to make their own! &lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <description>Attention all scribes with an Obamistic diatribe to deliver! I&#039;ve compiled a short list of right-wing destinations on the blogsphere where you can sign on and blog to your hearts content on topical issues, namely politics. The time has come to beat the reds at their own game by posting articles that are slanted positively toward Barack Obama. Operating with finese will place doubt in the minds of those reading the propoganda these sites spew forth... To achieve our goal we must not slam the other side nor rant but must explore and dissect political issues&amp;nbsp;of economic and social importance slanting the writings ever so slightly...well maybe a little more than slightly but you get the point.&amp;nbsp;Several of the sites you might consider exploring for purposes of exploitation include; &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.redstate.com/&quot;&gt;www.redstate.com&lt;/a&gt;, &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.thenextright.com/&quot;&gt;www.thenextright.com&lt;/a&gt;, &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.rightonline.com/&quot;&gt;www.rightonline.com&lt;/a&gt;, &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.realclearpolitics.com/&quot;&gt;www.realclearpolitics.com&lt;/a&gt;, &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.netrootsnation.org/&quot;&gt;www.netrootsnation.org&lt;/a&gt;. <title>how can we tell? what do we do about them?</title>
            <description>&lt;p class=&quot;MsoNormal&quot;&gt;&amp;ldquo;An electronic mail message, Usenet posting or other (electronic) communication which is intentionally incorrect, but not overtly controversial (compare &lt;a href=&quot;http://foldoc.org/foldoc.cgi?flame+bait&quot;&gt;flame bait&lt;/a&gt;), or the act of sending such a message. Aims to elicit an emotional reaction from those with a hair-trigger on the reply key. A really subtle (one)makes some people lose their minds.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;MsoNormal&quot;&gt;Yes folks, I&amp;rsquo;m talking about those who live under the bridge and desire that we follow them there.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;I believe that most trolls are sad people, living their lonely lives vicariously through those they see as strong and successful.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;Disrupting a stable newsgroup gives the illusion of power, just as for a few, stalking a strong person allows them to think they are strong, too.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;For trolls, any response is &#039;recognition&#039;; they are unable to distinguish between irritation and admiration; their ego grows directly in proportion to the response, regardless of the form or content of that response.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;Last night I had the opportunity to try to convince a very dear friend of our family, a very bright and dynamic woman, that she should vote for Barack Obama in November.&amp;nbsp; Normally this would be an easy sell with this very liberal college professor but she seems to be a victim of some very bizarre distortions of just who our candidate is.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This friend was a very commited Hillary Clinton supporter and I think is stilling hurting badly from her defeat in the primaries.&amp;nbsp; Hillary&#039;s campaign was her source for information about who Obama was and she will be the first to admit that Hillary vetted Obama viciously.&amp;nbsp; As Hillary faded away, she was left with traditional media sources as her source of information with CNN the primary outlet.&amp;nbsp; Our friend had really no exposure to the online resources that many of us used for a more balanced look at the candidates and issues. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Her primary distaste for Obama stems from the fact that she perceives him as an elitist that is all talk and no action, something that seems to be reinforced from the media portrayal on places like CNN.&amp;nbsp; I&#039;m certain that image began during the primaries since that was one of the messages from the Clinton campaign.&amp;nbsp; She&#039;s convinced that his promises to remove us from Iraq are just empty rhetoric and that he&#039;s flip-flopped on key issues.&amp;nbsp; She also was greatly upset that &amp;quot;he didn&#039;t visit the troops&amp;quot;.&amp;nbsp; I explained that she was a victim of the corporate-run media and that CNN was no longer the Ted Turner balanced news organization that it once was and that there was a huge resource of facts on the Internet that would counteract all of her concerns.&amp;nbsp; I showed her a wide selection of online blogs including Daily Kos, Andrew Sullivan, Huffington Post, even MyDD although I know that there&#039;s some real Obama bashing still going on there.&amp;nbsp; At least on a site like that she can see how unreasonable some of the hatred looks.&amp;nbsp; I showed the area on this website that answers all the vicious rumors out there.&amp;nbsp; I told her that if she&#039;s going to watch television news pundits that she must include people like Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow for a bit of balance. &amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;She&#039;s convinced that Obama is going to win in a landslide and dislike McCain immensely but she&#039;s still not convinced she can vote for Obama.&amp;nbsp; I think she&#039;s much closer after our long talk last night.&amp;nbsp; Oh, and she did make say that Obama&#039;s choice for VP is going to greatly influence her vote.&amp;nbsp; I think she knows Hillary is very unlikely but she wants someone strong and experienced in that role.&amp;nbsp; Sam Nunn or Wesley Clark would be very palatable to her. &amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have little time for canvassing neighborhoods, making phone calls, or manning booths to help with the campaign but I participate heavily on internet blogs and work hard on my personal contacts with friends and relatives.&amp;nbsp; I think it&#039;s a very important step. &amp;nbsp; One person may not feel like much but if every one of us reaches one, it adds up quickly. &lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Existential Crisis at My Obama Blog</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;A philosophical amusement....&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Clicking around my MyBarackObama dashboard today to see what certain buttons did, which I had never tried, I noticed that when one clicks on one&#039;s own &amp;quot;Profile&amp;quot; from the Blog page, the little box up on the right says this:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;p&gt;Your Relationship to this person: Yourself&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You are not permitted to message this user. (&lt;a href=&quot;http://my.barackobama.com/XSSCleanedvoid(0);&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Why not?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Suddenly a disturbing hyper-Sartrean predicament presented itself....to be a self, I must be able to undertake the task of striving to be&amp;nbsp;a self; but if I cannot message that self, what is the point of my strivings, as their achievements would go unnoticed by, and therefore unrelated to,&amp;nbsp;their goal, which is me? It would not only be pointless--&#039;man is a useless passion&#039;--but not even possible as a task, as a project. But certainly, paraphrasing Descartes, I must exist so as to be in doubt about my identity as a blogger?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I decided to dig deeper...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Is &amp;quot;Why not?&amp;quot; perhaps a philosophical clue? &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I Googled....(what are the existential implications of &amp;quot;googling&amp;quot;? worry about that later)....I googled &amp;quot;why not philosophy?&amp;quot;&amp;nbsp; Well, I quickly find that &amp;quot;Why Not?&amp;quot; is someone&#039;s Amazon list of favorite philosophy books....&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I Clicked again....this person&#039;s favorite philosophy book is Plato&#039;s &amp;quot;Sophist&amp;quot;. AH! I mentioned Sophists in an email to the &#039;CountdownKeithOlbermanFans For Obama&#039; listserve today....I was being brought closer to myself....&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I clicked over to an electronic copy of Plato&#039;s Sophist, in which the Sophist receives his first definition as one who has not real knowledge, but only the semblance or image of it. I scroll to find that part of the text, where the tortuous pathways of &amp;quot;non-being&amp;quot; open out into the density of the dialogue, and come to Plato&#039;s line, &amp;quot;And now arises the greatest difficulty of all.&amp;nbsp; If not-being is&lt;br /&gt;inconceivable, how can not-being be refuted?&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;AH! yes, this kind of predicament is how I described the effect of the right wing irrationality machine in that post...If the right argues in manners that make clear conception impossible, it is impossible to ever refute them and aporia and misology ensue. Yes, this was a clue....I was in fact being brought closer to myself, but not self &#039;in-itself&#039; but self as &#039;blog-poster&#039;...or perhaps as the post itself, the one that had mentioned this sophistry of the right? My self, my identity must be bound up with the blogging....&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I google again...&amp;quot;identity blogging&amp;quot;....the most relevant looking hit takes me to a blog post that does indeed talk about the blurring of &amp;quot;identity&amp;quot; into &amp;quot;activity&amp;quot; in the teeming world of blogging, and tries to push a distinction of &#039;blogger&#039; from &#039;blogging&#039;, to preserve the reputation of the latter (the weblog) from the problems associated with so many of the former (bloggers). Interestingly,&amp;nbsp;this blog I&#039;d found was from 2004, and uses as illustration the topic of the likely unreliability of electronic voting machines and its role in Bush&#039;s victory that year in the minds of many bloggers. Because electronic voting terrifies me, I ignored that and seized on only the philosophical point about the existential gap between blogger and blogging....what does this mean...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;AH....yes--that&#039;s it! I am not allowed to message myself because I &lt;em&gt;am not&lt;/em&gt; the blogging activity that would include or invite the messaging process. &lt;em&gt;Someone else&lt;/em&gt; could message me, but &lt;em&gt;I &lt;/em&gt;cannot, for &lt;em&gt;I do not exist as such within the horizon of the activity of my blogging&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I found this strangely acceptable, and the permanent barrier to self not so much a refutation of Hegelian achievement of reunified self-consciousness as a protection from the buffeting that the blogosphere might be to my identity. If I cannot damage myself &amp;quot;&lt;em&gt;blogi&lt;/em&gt;stentially,&amp;quot; as it were, then no one else could either, and my &#039;&lt;em&gt;exist&lt;/em&gt;ential&#039; project could continue apace.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Wow.&amp;nbsp; This is one sophisticated campaign website, facilitating the protection of our existentiality from our blogistentiality.&amp;nbsp; Surely that is a metaphor for the empowerment of the individual citizen in the Obama campaign.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Tell me again why we might want to elect those other guys? On this site, when I search my zip code for events within 25 miles, I find 36 things to choose from, 36 things Obama people have undertaken to do (one of which I attended last night). Over&amp;nbsp;on McCain&#039;s site when I search for events in my zip code (and I live in a red town, mind you) I find only one, which is actually MORE than 25 miles away--and the screen says I need to &amp;quot;&lt;em&gt;Ask &lt;/em&gt;to Attend&amp;quot;. Over there, I need permission to get empowered, apparently. No thanks!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&#039;ll stay here where existential and political empowerment abound!&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>In My Estimation</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;I&#039;ve blogged for years.&amp;nbsp; I&#039;ve blogged since before it was called blogging, and the one thing I&#039;ve always loved about it is the feeling of having my voice heard.&amp;nbsp; So I guess it&#039;s no wonder that I support Obama or that I&#039;m now blogging on his website.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As my profile states, I support Barack Obama because he&#039;s fair and he makes me feel like this government, this America can be my government and my America.&amp;nbsp; I feel like he hears all of our voices, and he is doing his very best to answer us.&amp;nbsp; I am a twenty-five year old gay woman.&amp;nbsp; That doesn&#039;t exactly lend itself to being heard by my elected officials, but I have hope that if we can just get Obama to the White House, I can actually know that my voice matters to my government.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It sometimes feels like we have a long journey up the mountain, but then I look behind us and see how far we&#039;ve already come.&amp;nbsp; We&#039;re almost there, just a few more steps and we&#039;ll have made it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Yes, we can. &lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>&quot;Yes We Can&quot; - Tribute to Obama By Maria Muldaur and Bonnie Raitt</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;&amp;quot;Yes We Can&amp;quot; is the new musical and video tribute to Senator Barack Obama for President by Maria Muldaur and Bonnie Raitt. I was asked to co-produce and distribute the video on behalf of Maria Muldaur, Bonnie Raitt, and Joel Joseph of Studio B Recording in Sausilito, CA. It&#039;s not to be confused with the first great &amp;quot;Yes We Can&amp;quot; video and song by Will-I-Am, which is a terrific and pioneering work of its own. Also see www.yeswecanthevideo.com&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here&#039;s the video:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You can see the video with a click here: &amp;lt;a href=&amp;quot;http://zennie2005.blogspot.com/2008/07/yes-we-can-tribute-to-obama-by-maria.html&amp;quot;&amp;gt; YES WE CAN &amp;lt;/a&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <description>It has been a while since I&#039;ve written anything political here or anywhere.&amp;nbsp; Since last time I ran for a local school board seat, lost, and keep moving forward with my politics.&amp;nbsp; In the following weeks and months leading up to the election I am hoping to get back to attending events and writing my musings on all things political here in San Antonio, Texas.&amp;nbsp; Hopefully more posts will find its way here and on my own webpage at &lt;a href=&quot;http://lelowry.com&quot;&gt;lelowry.com&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp; Who knows maybe people will start visiting and commenting on it if I can keep up with it, hehe.&amp;nbsp; In the meantime, its time to put my lost election behind me and move forward to November.</description>

            <title>Hello All</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Greetings friends. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So, I subject myself on a fairly regular basis to the likes of Neal Boortz. Don&#039;t let that turn you away. Generally I disagree with him. I do find it interesting to see what others are saying, especially when they disagree with me.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Doing so prompted me to closely examine Obama&#039;s policy proposals. One of the biggest criticisms that I hear is that Obama has no real platform, that he only offers hollow promises of change and that his supporters only parrot this emptily.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;That prompted me to blog about it, hence the above.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&#039;m doing this every few days on my Blog &amp;lt;a href=&amp;quot;http://unrestrictedwest.blogspot.com&amp;quot; target=&amp;quot;blank&amp;quot;&amp;gt;The Unrestricted West&amp;lt;/a&amp;gt;. So far I&#039;m up to Health Care, which I have just finished today.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Please check it out. If there are things that you think that I should highlight, please let me know. You can post it there or here.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&#039;ll be tackling his economic policy next. I&#039;d love any input anyone may have before I begin. I would especially like to know what contrary arguments that you&#039;ve encountered.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thanks all! &lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Wobbly First Steps</title>
            <description>I feel a little strange starting a new blog when I seldom have the time/energy to update &lt;a href=&quot;http://mysticspiralstudio.blogspot.com&quot;&gt;my existing personal blog&lt;/a&gt;. That said, creating a blog here feels like the right thing to do as a part of getting involved in the Obama campaign. Besides, I&#039;ve always tried to keep the political content of my &amp;quot;normal&amp;quot; blog to a minimum. The funny thing is, the closer we get to the election, the more I&#039;ve questioned that decision. Perhaps, then, this blog is the perfect solution.&amp;nbsp; I can put a link from there to here and continue to keep the political somewhat separate from the personal.</description>

            <title>1st tabling for Obama and new initiatives! Notes from May 29 meeting of Sunnyvale for Obama</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;This is a copy of an e-mail sent to the group Sunnyvale for Obama way too late at night on May 30 (May 31 morning, actually)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;Hello Sunnyvale for Obama!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; How would you like to go to a &amp;ldquo;Food for Thought&amp;rdquo; dinner party, travel to Reno to help swing Nevada for Obama, or perform community service in a nursing home?&amp;nbsp; These are just a few of the great ideas for new initiatives we brainstormed at the May 29 meeting.&amp;nbsp; We also planned for the first farmers&amp;rsquo; market voter registration, this Saturday, May 31.&amp;nbsp; This was our fourth meeting, and we had FOUR TIMES AS MANY PEOPLE as at our first meeting on May 4!&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; This e-mail will summarize what happened at the last meeting, but before I start that, I want to let you know that THE NEXT MEETING is scheduled, as follows:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;DATE: Tuesday, June 10&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;TIME: 6:30 p.m. &amp;ndash; 8:00 p.m.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;LOCATION: Round Table Pizza in reserved room, 101 Town and Country Village, Sunnyvale, CA (it&amp;rsquo;s on Washington Street across from Macy&amp;rsquo;s).&amp;nbsp; Here&amp;rsquo;s a link to their web site:&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.roundtablepizza.com/RTP/HI/&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;http://www.roundtablepizza.com/RTP/HI/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; At the next meeting, Cynthia and the volunteers will tell us about how the tabling effort went on May 31.&amp;nbsp; (All signs are positive!)&amp;nbsp; We&amp;rsquo;ll also decide on a general plan for how we&amp;rsquo;ll proceed with new initiatives.&amp;nbsp; (See item 4, below.)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I will post this e-mail to the Sunnyvale for Obama blog on the group web page at &lt;a href=&quot;http://my.barackobama.com/page/group/SunnyvaleCitizensforObama&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;u&gt;http://my.barackobama.com/page/group/SunnyvaleCitizensforObama&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Now for the great stuff we did at the meeting on May 29!&amp;nbsp; Here&amp;rsquo;s a table of contents for this e-mail:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;1. &amp;nbsp;Mission, vision, values, and meeting ground rules&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;2. &amp;nbsp;The first tabling for Obama at the Sunnyvale farmers&amp;rsquo; market on May 31!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;3. &amp;nbsp;Blogging for Obama &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;4. &amp;nbsp;New initiatives for Obama&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;5. &amp;nbsp;How to stay informed about Sunnyvale for Obama&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;6.&amp;nbsp; How you can help Obama clinch the nomination this weekend&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;7. &amp;nbsp;Event: end of primary season celebration&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;June 3 at Britannia Arms in San Jose!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&quot;EC_MsoNormal&quot;&gt;(If you are reading this in an RSS feed reader, go to the blog to see the rest of the post.)&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Request for National Convention Bloggers for mnblue</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Greetings everyone,&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I went to the 4th, 2nd and 7th conventions, and was so super impressed with everyone who ran for being a national delegate. Wow, I was more moved and impressed by the Obama people who wanted to become delegates than I have been by professional politicians. You all rock!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have a favor to ask. I and many people are not able to go to the national convention and we would dearly love it if our Minnesota Obama delegates were to write up a few blog articles in the middle of the convention. I know that is asking alot, for you all will be busy. Yet all of the rest of us want to know the real news of what people are thinking and feeling, not the corporate media news.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I am also requesting that you blog on my group blog&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;www.mnblue.com&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As a blog we are trying to reach a larger audience beyond the Obama campaign, reaching out to people who are not yet committed to Obama. As a blog, we have tried to cover the senate and district conventions, when no other news source cover those areas. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It would be great if more than one person can blog. There are so many perspectives. And of course, you could blog before the convention as well.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I am at 651 642 9499 and thegracekelly@earthlink.net . &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I believe just telling our stories will move voters. Please help me tell that story&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Grace Kelly nicknamed Kelly&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;St Paul, MN&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;www.mnblue.com&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>OUR Blog compared to Hillarys</title>
            <description>After reading the late night&amp;nbsp;open thread I had to go and visit Hillarys website. I do that from time to time to see what is going on over there. Frankly I find Hillarys site over stimulating and yet extremely boring. There is so much going on all of reminds me of a poorly constructed sales brochure. Hillblazer, FactHub, Hillary Hub, and a blog that is censored. It looks exciting but managages to disapoint. There are so many colors and flashing lights on that website you feel like you are at a carnival and you know you&#039;re about to lose money or dignity. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Her website is not constantly changing and providing information up front. You have to search her site to find the delegate count because she does not want her supporters to care about that. She does not show the map of states because she does not want her supporters to see the drastic difference in the amount of contests won. Her blog does not have devoted regulars like lace, bahamasforobama, or SaSa. She is only on six web communities-obama is everywhere. We have blog posting comments often go into the the high hundreds, she rarely breakes 150 yes she has had more traffic in the past day or two because of the primary but check back on friday and you will see a significant drop off. There is no question that Obama gets significantly more comment postings.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This blog is streamlined and color coordinated, it is constantly updated and visually pleasing to the eye. It is consistant with the use of the logo, and entertaining. It allows it users to freely communicate with each other and the campaign. It is filled with information both from the campaign and the users. We dont censor, you can tell by the amount of trolls lurking throughout, some being very destructive.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Importantly this blog is filled with hope, encourage, a sense of community, we share and we are charitable to each other, and it is all played out on this blog. Yes, we are unique. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Guys I just came back from Indiana I drove thirteen hours each way. Things were so intense there I did not get a chance to blog while I was there. I did get to see our leader and next president in Indianapolis. I took some great pictures and I plan to post later when I write about the trip. </description>

            <title>The Changing Media - A Move Towards Public Media</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0508/10111.html&quot;&gt;Politico - Five things to look for in Indiana By CARRIE BUDOFF BROWN | 5/6/08 4:22 AM EST&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hey TomDavie! &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The media is changing now, it will be interesting to see the state it is in for the next cycle in four years. This campaign marks the beginning of the public providing more content than the established &amp;quot;media&amp;quot;. Conversations like this one, Dailykos.com, mydd.com... these are the beginnings of what the Obama campaign has shown to be possible given the current proliferation of computers in homes and semi-evolved mechanisms on the Internet to support the public generation of media. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Four years ago was a whole &#039;nother world in communications. CNN was it for most people. Now, a huge part of the population has actively engaged in the conversation, and a large part of that group has spent a significant amount of time at it. Four years from now, this will be old hat to millions of people and the structure will have evolved in likely unknowable ways to further the impact of public media. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The days of the monopoly on information are over. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;From this point forward various pieces of TV media will go through fractal gyrations trying to find their niche. Meanwhile, pubicly-generated media consolidates into well-worn patterns fit for mass consumption and broadens to cover more and more information more and more deeply. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;All good stuff for economics, freedom and effective democracy. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Fun times! &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;-cheers! &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;-chris blask &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://dyn.politico.com/snetwork/profile/profile_view.cfm?member_id=C080F364-188B-4976-D17B0AE69C1D6871&quot; title=&quot;tomdavie&quot;&gt;tomdavie&lt;/a&gt;Party: IndependentReply #4&lt;br /&gt;Date: May. 6, 2008 - 5:19 AM EST &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Here is something to save yourselves a lot of time.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Look for Clinton to win Indiana by 5 to 10&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Look for Obama to win North Carolina by 5 to 10&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Look for the vast majority of the media to tap dance the results to fit whatever they need to keep selling headlines.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I bet they are all on their knees tonight praying Clinton wins enough to stay in, but not enough to put the BELOVED meal ticket Obama in danger of losing the nomination.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;That about sums it all up doesnt it ?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have learned for more than a person WANTS to know about how the media works in this election cycle. The longer this cycle goes on, the more Obama and Clinton have to spend on TV ads. The more the ratings go up as they talk the nomination process in circles on and on ad infinutum ........ad nauseum. .&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Its very sorry to watch Bill Oreilly sit on his show and SUCK UP thru the television BEGGING Obama to come on his stupid show. My God Bill. Apparently the spin DOESNT stop there.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;All this is highly toxic to the american people. We need some kind of media reform in this country .&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>MOMocrats EXCLUSIVE: Barack Obama answers our readers&#039; questions</title>
            <description>&lt;em&gt;Back on April 1, &lt;a href=&quot;http://momocrats.typepad.com/momocrats/2008/04/momocrats-exclu.html#comments&quot;&gt;we asked our readers&lt;/a&gt; what they would ask Barack Obama if given the chance to ask any question.&amp;nbsp; After being disappointed by the last televised debate, we came up with &lt;a href=&quot;http://momocrats.typepad.com/momocrats/2008/04/the-presidentia.html&quot;&gt;a list of questions&lt;/a&gt; that the MOMocrats and our readers wished that ABC had asked, and sent them off to his campaign HQ.&amp;nbsp; They replied with answers to five of our questions on poverty, the credit crisis, torture, childcare, and maternity leave, all answered exclusively for MOMocrats.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1.&amp;nbsp; From &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://droolstreet.blogspot.com/&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Jen&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;:&amp;nbsp; John Edwards spoke repeatedly about alleviating suffering and poverty for the poorest among us. With 46 million people living in poverty and tens of thousands of homeless people in most major cities in our nation, what will be your response in addressing the lack of affordable housing in our nation? &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;OBAMA:&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp; Rising poverty is one of the most serious issues facing America today, and I believe that inserting simplistic tag lines or one-dimensional goals are unlikely to be helpful in meeting this challenge.&amp;nbsp; As president, I will build off of my life experiences of fighting poverty and hopelessness as a community organizer, civil rights lawyer and elected official to make poverty eradication a top goal of my administration.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;As President, I will increase the supply of affordable housing.&amp;nbsp; In too many communities, low-income families are priced out of the housing market. Between 1993 and 2003, the number of units of affordable to low-income households fell by 1.2 million. I believe we should create an Affordable Housing Trust Fund to develop affordable housing in mixed-income neighborhoods.&amp;nbsp; The Affordable Housing Trust Fund would use a small percentage of the profits of two government-sponsored housing agencies, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to create thousands of new units of affordable housing every year. I will also restore cuts to public housing operating subsidies, and ensure that all Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs are restored to their original purpose.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Where is it written ...</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;... that all our dreams must be small ones?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We represent rural communities in the State of Nebraska, &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;ha, that means mostly under priviledged farmers, struggling communities and we set out in our own way as a media group [established business] to CONVERT swing and republicans alike to vote for Barack.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In order to be effective in this endeavor, we needed to establish a separate website [s] for this purpose. Simply because &amp;quot;Farmers and Ranchers&amp;quot; don&#039;t just trust right away what they read and hear.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;They watch the weather channel and the stockyard news early morning. By the time they come home around 9 or 10 pm, they are too tired to take in all the media. Ergo, the media has quiet an impact really, much more so then in urban areas.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I call it &amp;quot;media hazing&amp;quot; - the flood of repetitions, distortions, well you name it are perfect to sneak in to the subliminal. And since earth-bound people which farmers and ranchers definitely are, they don&#039;t easily change their mind once it&#039;s made up. Even if it is a distorted and/or ill informed opinion.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Since I happen to look back at more than 20 years of being &amp;quot;liked&amp;quot; in the State of Nebraska, I discussed this issue wtih my company board and we came up with the idea to target specifically the rural market with ads.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Yes, independent of the official Obama campaign, we took over $ 200.000 of our own money and started to layout a strategy for the months until November.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We also started a donation run from our newly created website [still a lot of work to do on it] but we have the basics together.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And since we exclusively work on this to help get Barack Obama elected, we feel good about it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I personally live in a small village andwas able to convince the majority to read Obamas Plan,&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;which we downloaded and posted on our website &lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://obamaradar.com/&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; title=&quot;OBAMA RADAR&quot;&gt;OBAMA RADAR&lt;/a&gt; &amp;nbsp; the main site [where we explain the Hope, The Strategy, The Actions and more&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://obamablogger.net&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; title=&quot;OBAMA BLOGGER NET&quot;&gt;OBAMA BLOGGER NET&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; the blog site, where rurals here can get their own blogs also&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://obamalens.com/&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; title=&quot;OBAMA LENS&quot;&gt;OBAMA LENS&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; the image galleries [we created some &amp;quot;side-by-side&amp;quot; obama/clinton images for REAL comparison]&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://obamacafe.com/&quot; title=&quot;OBAMA CAFE&quot;&gt;OBAMA CAFE&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; [in progress] forums, chats, nebraska farming and ranching ads/free]&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://obamaticker.com/&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; title=&quot;OBAMA TICKER&quot;&gt;OBAMA TICKER&lt;/a&gt; [in progress] news, videos, footage &lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;We use and rely upon the trust we enjoy from local communities. They do listen and they actually do believe what comes out of my mouth is the truth. That is very important to be able to change a voters mind.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Please, although we at first will concentrate on the State I live in, we would like to annex also Kansas, Iowa and we have very strong business connections to California, New Mexico and Texas, where a large percentage of Latino population resides.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We are not able to finance it all from my private /business budget, so we ask for donation.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The GOAL is to reach at minimum 200.000 donors at $ 5.00 per person at least.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is not a pipe dream, when using the internet as a vehicle.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Please be so kind and spread the word.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thank you!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Michele&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;BIZ ETHIC COMPANY&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;RADAR MEDIA GROUP [which now also hold Obama Radar]&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Blogging suggestions</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Do you wish you could do more, like me? I&#039;ve been trying to spread the word via the &lt;br /&gt;internet. I was sent a great video and an article about it, so I wrote about it in my blog as &lt;br /&gt;if it wasn&#039;t about Obama, because the people in states who haven&#039;t voted yet, &lt;br /&gt;many are undecided, so I entitled it by part of the title of the video &amp;quot;Obama &lt;br /&gt;vs. Clinton&amp;quot; and maybe more of those undecideds will look at it. In my previous &lt;br /&gt;post about the campaign, an undecided from NC replied (I&#039;m assuming others read &lt;br /&gt;&amp;amp; didn&#039;t reply). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So they are out there searching. If you have a blog other than on Obama&#039;s site &lt;br /&gt;and, especially if you don&#039;t have the time to go to other states, special events, or &lt;br /&gt;meetings, you might want to post something like this in your blog (feel free to copy): &lt;a href=&quot;http://uu-mom.livejournal.com/59693.html&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt;http://uu-mom.livejournal.com/59693.html&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My previous post with another video which got the response is here: &lt;a href=&quot;http://uu-mom.livejournal.com/59315.html&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt;http://uu-mom.livejournal.com/59315.html&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Just a suggestion. I hope you&#039;re all doing what you can.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;- Joyce&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>STAY ABOVE THE FRAY</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;I realized last night as I was putting out &amp;quot;pithy and witty&amp;quot; blog entries that I was falling right into an old trap of &amp;quot;fighting&amp;quot; and negativity.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Albert Einstein said that the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over expecting a different result. This behavior (the fighting, the mud slinging, the being oh so offended) is insanity. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The answer is to stay above the fray, to remain positive to respond with only the things that are good and true about this campaign and the next President Barack Obama.&amp;nbsp; Engaging gives energy to the annomosity and building annomosity never builds coalitions.&amp;nbsp; We need those Hillary voters in August and beyond, we want them...we welcome them...they ARE us. They are interested, they are concerned, they want what&#039;s best for their lives, their family, their neighborhood, their community, their state, their country, their world. The only difference is the way they&#039;re viewing these things. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This DOES NOT MEAN that we don&#039;t write the powers that be; that we don&#039;t point out what needs to be corrected.&amp;nbsp; WE just stick to the facts when we do so and don&#039;t fall into the trap that Geraldine Ferraro did herself with her statements.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is not&amp;nbsp;intended to be lecturing on any level...I write it primarly as a reminder to me as to why/what I&#039;m doing here and I thought it might be a good thing to share.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;PEACE! &lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>Invitation to Obama Community Bloggers</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Please help create some Obama Drama by joining me for Blog Action Days on 3/15 and 3/19. Theme: Peace.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may have read my blog posts or be aware of offline events related to the 5 year anniversary of the Iraq war. Busy lives, disabilities and other things makes it hard for all to join the rallies and marches, but the internet makes it easy for bloggers to join in by simply using their blogs .&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Senator Clinton will continue to create drama to keep her name spotlighted in the news. Let us create some news with a massive Blog Action Day, inspired by Senator Obama, the Iraqi Veterans Against War, Code Pink, Veterans for Peace, United for Peace and Justice, Move On dot org, Gray Panthers (senior social activists), Medford Oregon Obama supporters and others.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Experienced bloggers know how meme&#039;s work and how fast they spread. Use your blog to spread word of this cyberspace march for peace. Let us get Obama&#039;s inspiration of grassroots efforts into the news.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thank you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Ideas:&lt;/strong&gt; share favorite Peace quotes, top ten Peace song lists, top ten You Tube videos relating to peace and justice, tips on how to create peace in chaotic households, stories about how you resolved conflicts with co-workers or neighbors in a peaceful way...whatever your thoughts are on the subject of Peace: blog it!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Please label you post: Blog Action Day ~ Peace. <title>Obama &#039;08 ~ Veterans for Peace</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Good morning &lt;strong&gt;Obama &#039;08&lt;/strong&gt; supporters. I have posted often about one of the reasons I support Senator Obama is the work he has done on behalf of our Veterans, especially the homeless Iraqi war vets and those being denied their earned health care benefits by the VA.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.veteransforpeace.org/Veterans_march_for_peace_2008.vp.html&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Veterans for Peace&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt; are among the 1400 organizations that are planning pot lucks, marches and rallier on March 19th~the &lt;strong&gt;5 year anniversay &lt;/strong&gt;of entering Iraq to look for Weapons of Mass Destruction that were not there.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Interesting look at WMD at&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.truemajority.org/oreos/&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt; True Majority&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt; if you have a few moments to watch an animated cartoon type clip from Ben Cohen. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;If you can join one of the groups rallies on March 19th be sure to wear your&lt;strong&gt; Obama&lt;/strong&gt; gear. If you are unable to join the rally, I invite you to join two Blog Action Days. Theme: Peace. I am so tired of Hillary&#039;s election war, esepcially when my community brings her constant attacks here. I wake up with knots in my stomach afraid to check the news for fear of her latest attack. That is why I come here first and many are happy to keep me updated on what I do not want to do.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Please join a cyberspace March for Peace on March 15th and/or March 19th by blogging about peace.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Share your favorite Peace quote with us. Share your Top Ten List of Peace songs. Give us your tips on finding peace and quiet in a chaotic household. Tell us a story of how you resolved an explosive situation with a neigbhor or co-worker in a peaceful manner. Tell us about your favorite Peace Pilgrem.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Blog Action Day: Peace, March 15th and March 19th. Join us. Pass the word. Thank you.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Obama blogosphere</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;I make an effort to read and comment on a lot of blogs here. I think it is important that if you take the time to read a blog, take an extra moment to write a comment. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It lets the author know their time and effort isn&#039;t being launched into the vacuum of cyberspace and falling on deaf ears.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The next few weeks are critical. We have to regroup, reorganize and reenergize this campaign to a major victory on 4/22.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hillary will fight us every step of the way, but I think we can get it done.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Don&#039;t forget Wyoming and Mississippi either. I am sure the clintons wish that VA, KS, WA, MD, WI, and all the rest didn&#039;t exist, but they do and they COUNT. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Wins matter. Delegates matter. Votes matter.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Let&#039;s GOTV this weekend in Wyoming and on Tuesday in Mississippi!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;GoBAMA!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Please Don&#039;t Advertise for Hillary Via Google Adsense</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;I was reading through some pro Obama blogs and to my surprise I started seeing Hillary ads show up in the advertisement blocks of a blog. There was an Obama ad right underneath it but when I refreshed my page or visited other pages of the blog the Obama ad would not appear some of the times whereas the Hillary one would always appear. If you run a blog or some other website which uses Google Adsense &lt;strong&gt;PLEASE&lt;/strong&gt; utilize the ad filtering capabilities of your Google Adsense settings in order to prevent the Hillary ads from being displayed on your blog or website. We don&#039;t need to be giving her free advertising on our blogs and websites.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;img src=&quot;http://blog.infusiontechsolutions.com/downloads/wtf_hrc.gif&quot; /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you don&#039;t know how to configure the ad filtering settings for your Adsense account here is how to do it:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;Log into your Google Adsense at the URL: http://www.google.com/adsense/&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;Click on the &amp;quot;AdSense Setup&amp;quot; tab.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;Click on the &amp;quot;Competitive Ad Filter&amp;quot; link in the menu bar that appears.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;You are now ready to specify what ads you want to prevent from showing up on your blog or website. To do this you specify the URL which the ad you want to block links to. For best effect you should only enter the &amp;quot;top level domain&amp;quot; portion of the URL. For example we want to filter www.hillaryclinton.com and any other variation of that URL so you should type &amp;quot;hillaryclinton.com&amp;quot; without the quotes in the text box. There is a text box for each type of Adsense type - AdSense for Content, AdSense for Search, and AdSense for Content. You should specify hillaryclinton.com for all three Adsense ad types. You&#039;ll need to press the &amp;quot;Save changes&amp;quot; button for each ad type in order to commit the changes to it.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;Add any other HRC website you think/know may be showing up in Google Adsense advertisements.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>My response to Prez Bush state of the union address...</title>
            <description>My respons to the prez state of the union address! READ! Dear Mr. President,&lt;br /&gt;How disappointing, you have had 7 years to make this country a better place and all you have done is to benifit yourself. You have made more enemies for this country than we have ever had before. We have less allies, Thank you.&lt;br /&gt;We have fewer jobs, lost our homes and have no health care, at least none that us middle class can afford. You have stopped congress form helping with stem cell research, that would greatly help people with serious disabilities, cancer and other life threatening deseases. Thank you.&lt;br /&gt;Thank you for turning our military into your private army for oil. A battle your father started in the 90&amp;quot;s and you promised your father you would finish.( I&#039;ll get um daddy) So your pockets can get bigger and we can pay $130.00 a barrel for crude oil. ($3.37 a gallon). Thank you&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also for making deals with the car industries to put a cap (a limit) on how many hybrid cars we can make an sell in the USA per year. So that more people have to buy your oil! Thank you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thank you for all the deaths that you have caused in Iraq, with civilians and military. &lt;br /&gt;Thank you for 911. That was my personal favorite. You sat in that class room reading a book as they told you we were being attacked. You must of thought, wow they are right on time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am an american, and I would like to be the first to thank you for teaching us fear, the color scale of fear and what it means to live in fear.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;sincerely , &lt;br /&gt;U.S. citizen</description>

            <title>Has Anyone Thought How Great This Website Is</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;This post is about more than just this website, though. It&#039;s about the future. Because just imagine once Barack Obama becomes president. Those of us registered here, using the website, keeping in contact with supporters and others will be the movement of the future.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Our blog posts can write the new destiny of America.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Can you believe that? You and me building the future plans for America. Discussion groups, open forums, conversations, chats, blog comments - all this new media coming together for a great cause. Imagine if some big decision were to come up under Barack&#039;s presidency, we could be right involved in the making of it. Our voices could be heard! We would be able to bring all viewpoints - such as those smart ones that opposed the Iraq war from the beginning. We would be able to come to a consensus on the best policies to govern America, instead of letting big corporations and their money rule the country.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;That&#039;s right - right here. Here is where we can inscribe the future destiny of America. Your voice can be heard, your voice will be heard. And if you think you can change the world... well, Yes You Can.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Blogging Anniversary</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;I figure I&#039;ve been blogging for more than three years now. I first started back before the 2004 elections, and kind of kept at my blogger.com blog ever since then. Usually it comes in spurts. Apparently if there isn&#039;t an election going on, I have nothing to say.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Anyways, I updated my blogger.com blog recently, and if you are reading this blog you might (possibly, potentially) be interested in some of the less political posts I have made. For example, one of the last posts I made was about facial hair. Exciting, I know.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://gentlewhip.blogspot.com/&quot; title=&quot;life is a gentle whip&quot;&gt;Link &lt;/a&gt;(via Blogger)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Educating my peers about US politics and Barack</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Although I can&#039;t vote, as I am not a US citizen, I can have an opinion, dreams and expectations, can&#039;t I?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&#039;ve arrived in the US last August and started my PhD at UCF. I had in mind the speech at the 2004 Convention, the campaign opening speech from a year ago and I started seeing more and more &amp;quot;Barack in the corn fields&amp;quot; photos, in a time where inevitabilty seemed the keyword. Yet, I did hope for a different outcome and it came. The Iowa caucuses night was a magic one for me, a political junkie.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Since then, I went from agony in NH to restrained optimism in NV and then to the joy of Super Tuesday and elation of this past weekend.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Many of the people reading &lt;a href=&quot;http://manoland.wordpress.com&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;my main blog&lt;/a&gt;, where I regularly write about the primaries and not only, tell me that I am a Barack fan, part of &amp;quot;the cult&amp;quot;. Hmm, some of the democraphics seem to fit: young, white, male, educated, but some don&#039;t: I barely make 21k per year as a PhD student. So much for microtrends...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;There would be many things I would like to get through to the Obama campaign, but I guess they have people telling them all that. I guess I am attracted to his message and his persona and his vision and the &amp;quot;new car smell&amp;quot; that we all like and wish to maintain for as long as possible.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&#039;ll be back!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

It helps to check out this &lt;a href=&quot;http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/resourceguideso/&quot;&gt;orientation guide&lt;/a&gt;, and Sam&#039;s &lt;a href=&quot;http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post_group/ObamaHQ/CthB&quot;&gt;guide to blogging&lt;/a&gt;...but it&#039;s easy and a great way to get your voice heard.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Here&#039;s an excerpt from a recent grassroots blog: &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;From &lt;a href=&quot;http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/michaelecamp/CR32&quot;&gt;Michaele in Arizona&lt;/a&gt;:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;p&gt;...We are preparing to lay my Dad to rest in Arlington National Cemetery--a hero&#039;s place on honor for a decorated solider who fought in WW11, the Korean Conflict and then volunteered for two tours of duty in Vietnam. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;My Dad was the son of an Alabama sharecropper, his humble beginnings in the midst of racial strife did not stop him from dreaming of a better life. He joined the Army at a time when he did not have the right to vote in his home state, but he loved America for it could be. He never doubted that change would come to his beloved country so that his four children could get a college education and dream of becoming what ever they chose. He was part of that change as he rose through the ranks, went on to earn two Masters degrees in order to be an example to his family.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;...In the past few months of his life, we talked about Barack Obama&#039;s vision and my Dad wanted to see this extraordinary man in the White House. He was thrilled by the fact that Barack Obama had spent his formative years outside the United States because our family had lived in Hawaii, Japan and France.&amp;nbsp; He told me often how important it was to learn about different cultures, religions and histories so that we could understand who we were as Americans. He knew that Barack&#039;s life prepared him to be a great leader and commander-in-chief.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I joined this movement because my Dad prepared me to dream of a better world. In his honor, I will continue to work to prove that the American Dream lives on through the vision of Barack Obama.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;Today&#039;s as good a day as any to get involved in the conversation...sign up for a &lt;a href=&quot;http://my.barackobama.com/page/user/login?successurl=L3BhZ2UvZGFzaGJvYXJkL3ByaXZhdGU=&quot;&gt;My.BarackObama.com&lt;/a&gt; account to get started, or if you&#039;re already a member but have been on the quiet side -- speak up!</description>

            <title>Progressive Bible Study</title>
            <description>Ever heard of a progressive Bible study?  Well now you have and now read the details...  Pastor Dan, of Street Prophets, is going to begin an &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.streetprophets.com/story/2007/8/20/232815/674&quot;&gt;online version&lt;/a&gt; for progressive people of faith to participate  at his site &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.streetprophets.com&quot;&gt;Street Prophets&lt;/a&gt;.  The studies will take place once a week with the scriptures announced ahead of time, coordinating with a selected lectionary.  People who do not claim a faith or are not of the Christian faith are welcome and actually encouraged to also participate, hopefully bringing a new lens in which to look at the text.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Support was so great with the initial announcement that Pastor Dan is beginning the new series this upcoming &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.streetprophets.com/story/2007/8/22/16653/1221&quot;&gt;Tuesday&lt;/a&gt;.  The first text that will be presented is Luke 14:1-14.  It will go up around noon on that day and it will hopefully draw lots of worthy discussion.  Discussion that challenges us to think outside of our daily box, challenges that make us act out of our norm, and norms that create positive social change.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
But if that doesn&#039;t sell you enough on this new blogging adventure... may be this will.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;blockquote&gt;It never hurts to make people better consumers of information, either. Just like economics is a complex and easily misunderstood field of inquiry, so is Christian theology and the biblical interpretation that is its foundation. It may seem esoteric at first, but I think people will be surprised to see how relevant these texts can be, week in and week out.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Well, hopefully I will see you there.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Peace&lt;br /&gt;

            <title>Re: The Omaha World Herald (and me) on Blogging</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;See a great article on Blogging at &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bill-scher/why-the-dems-are-going-to_b_58497.html&quot;&gt;http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bill-scher/why-the-dems-are-going-to_b_58497.html&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It is supposed to be published in the World Herald tommorrow.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As a born and bred Omahan, I am staggered to learn that this little gem of an article is to be published in our beloved &amp;quot;Weird Herald.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Last week&amp;#39;s lightening foreign policy slugfest zapped me out of my slumber. Blogging forces one to respond to many positions, which can be very liberating.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;My blogging in the past week has led me to the following main insights:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;1. We need a leader with strong legislative talents to restore the balance of powers in our government. We don&amp;#39;t need another imperial executive.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;2. Barack Hussein Obama is the only leader among our frontrunners who will have a shred of credibility in the Muslim Mid-East.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hard as it still is for us to feel comfortable about being led by a black man, led by Barack, we may be able to find some sort of less horrible path in the Mid-East. Sound like pie in the sky? &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I lived in Berlin in 1985-96 when Reagan arrived and we all called him crazy and unrealistic. I&amp;#39;ve lived in Russia since 1989. Not everything&amp;#39;s rosy, but amazing things have happened, things many said would never happen.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Rejecting the opportunity Barack&amp;#39;s candidacy offers us will doom us to yet more, and worse strife, and to the inexorable advancement of mass terrorism.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;3. There are 5 stages of reaction to tragedy: shock, denial, anger, grief, and loss.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We made the mistake of acting out blindly during our anger stage with 9/11, which has only led too an even greater tragic loss in Iraq. God forbid that we should continue to act out in anger again; the losses will be devastating and senseless.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As we move to grieve for Iraq, we will finally also truly grieve for 9/11, a process which has been unnaturally delayed.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As we move to return to reality and finally grieve our irretrievable losses, Barack, the only frontrunner not blinded by pandering to anger, will be our steady hand in finding us a new and perhaps even better place in the world to replace the one we&amp;#39;ve lost forever. &lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Utah&#039;s Talking About Obama 7.25.7</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Here are some recent blogs and articles about Barack from around Utah.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Steve Urquhart has a post titled &lt;a href=&quot;http://steveu.com/blog/2007/07/darn-that-barack-obama.html&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&amp;quot;Darn that Barack Obama&amp;quot;&lt;/a&gt;, which has some really great responses.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Dan Harrie posted an &amp;quot;Out of Context&amp;quot; blog on the SL Trib&amp;#39;s site titled &lt;a href=&quot;http://blogs.sltrib.com/utahpolitics/2007/07/provoan-of-different-stripe.htm&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&amp;quot;A Provoan of a different stripe&amp;quot;&lt;/a&gt;, which talks about Monday&amp;#39;s YouTube/CNN debate. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://utahconservitivedemocrat.wordpress.com/2007/07/25/oh-herald-nuclear-energy-al-gore-are-you-listening/&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;Utah Conservitive Democrat&lt;/a&gt; asks Obama where he stands on Nuclear Energy. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Tom Grover of For the People, KVNU&amp;#39;s blog, asks if &lt;a href=&quot;http://kvnuforthepeople.com/?p=653&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;Utah Ccnservatives are developing a &amp;#39;man crush&amp;#39; on Obama&lt;/a&gt;?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;There have been plenty of Obama sightings on the Utah Blogosphere as of late, so I&amp;#39;ll try to post them as I come across them.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;[UPDATE] Oops! I changed the title to get the publish date correct.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>Some initial reflections</title>
            <description>&lt;p class=&quot;MsoNormal&quot;&gt;People are saying all the time that this campaign is going to be historic.&amp;nbsp; If you take a look at what&amp;rsquo;s happening online, you don&amp;rsquo;t have to look far for evidence that&amp;#39;s true.&amp;nbsp; In the mere three weeks since Barack&amp;rsquo;s announcement, what we&amp;rsquo;ve seen occur at barackobama.com is mindblowing.&amp;nbsp; Hundreds of thousands of people have signed up to get emails from the campaign, and tens of thousands have created profiles, groups, and events on my.barackobama.com.&amp;nbsp; People are meeting up in their local communities, talking about their support for the campaign, and brainstorming what they can do next to support it.&amp;nbsp; Nothing like this has happened before historically, which makes this whole experience feel like the beginning of the movement that Barack so often talks about.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p class=&quot;MsoNormal&quot;&gt;But all this activity means little unless we take advantage of the enthusiasm and energy that is pushing this campaign forward.&amp;nbsp; In the next few days and weeks, we&amp;rsquo;ll be launching initiatives to help supporters tap into this support and bring new individuals into a nationwide effort.&amp;nbsp; But no matter what we from the campaign do, it&amp;rsquo;ll be up to you, the supporters across the country, to make sure that Barack Obama&amp;rsquo;s message and presence is felt in your individual communities.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p class=&quot;MsoNormal&quot;&gt;In the meantime, take the time to write a blog post about some of your first experiences with the campaign.&amp;nbsp; Post it to your groups, send it to friends and family, and send it to us at the campaign (just message me a link to the post).&amp;nbsp; Sharing your own experience is one of the best ways to inspire others to create their own.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p class=&quot;MsoNormal&quot;&gt;Thanks for your support.&amp;nbsp; Barack on.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;This was created in response to several people in Utah for Obama, who are new to blogging, and asked for a guide. <title>Obama Officially Announces</title>
            <description>&lt;p&gt;Well,&amp;nbsp;no big shock (this one will soon rank up there with the announcement that Helen Mirren has won the Oscar for &amp;quot;The Queen&amp;quot;), but Obama announced this morning that he is officially in the 2008 Race. So begins what should be a wild fight to the finish. And so begins my blog. I&amp;#39;ve never blogged before, but recently I&amp;#39;ve been inspired by the example set by some college friends before me, who&amp;#39;ve proven that those of us bored at work or looking to procrastinate will truly read ANYTHING - no matter how inane.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;My sister Sara also egged on my blogging by noting that my unshaven, long-haired look pretty much supports every mental image the American people have about bloggers. I mean she&amp;#39;s right -- there is no way CNN is going to interview a&amp;nbsp;well-groomed blogger dressed in a suit and tie. I guess I should note, however, that Sara is likely to have mixed-emotions about my decision to start a Blog. As&amp;nbsp;a Wellesley College alumna (2003), she is&amp;nbsp;a strong Hillary supporter, along with my mother (Wellesley College 1972 - she even&amp;nbsp;lived in the same dorm for a year as a young Hillary Rodham!).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After I sent an email out to my family telling them to donate to Obama, Sara and I had a nice little chat on the phone. After discussing the potential ramifications my support for Obama could have on family relations (eg, possible disinheritance, selective memory loss when talking about me -&amp;quot;David? Who? Oh... Right, our son who... Well...He...Oh, never mind....&amp;quot;), Sara made an apt comparison: my support for Obama and her support for she-who-must-not-be-named, may eventually come to resemble Civil War era squabbles, where families in border states fell to pieces after John sided with the&amp;nbsp;Union and James joined up with the Confederacy. Although there may be a SLIGHT amount of hyperbole here -- I reckon that no firearms will be involved, for instance -- this could prove to be the cause of some serious tension going foreward, probably manifesting itself in delightful bits of passive agression.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Now in the past, Sara and I have always sided with the same candidates, most recently in our support of newly-elected MA Gov. Deval Patrick, who many have noted is part of a new-class of African-American politicians starting to crop up. But for now, I guess I&amp;#39;m on my own. Maybe that&amp;#39;s part of the reason I&amp;#39;m staring this blog. I mean I&amp;#39;m not looking for a new sister or anything (I already have two great ones - yes, Becca, I wasn&amp;#39;t going to make my inaugural blog entry without mentioning my twin who currently&amp;nbsp;fights with me on gmail chat not about politics but about more fundamental issues - like whose job provides the best free food perks), but I am looking to find more Obama supporters to communicate with.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Finally freed from the burden of a crushing college work-load, I am excited to throw myself into the 2008 Campaign full-force -- Now only if the Obama campaign could find me a job in New York..HINT HINT. Obama is a candidate of unusual strengths, the likes of which hasn&amp;#39;t been seen since Bobby Kennedy.&amp;nbsp;Consequently, I believe that&amp;nbsp;everyone who says that Hillary has the nomination locked up is grossly underestimating the simmering desire of the American people for a NEW approach, for a fresh face who understands just how sick they are of partisan bickering. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Obama is the answer.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Read his books. Listen to his incredible 2004 speech at the Boston convention (when I first became a convert). Senator Obama understands - and in a way free from pretense and political posturing - that Americans simply want a President who they can trust to look out for their best interests. Also, for those of you who are generationally-inclined (ie under 25) check out the Facebook.com group called &amp;quot;One Million Strong For Barack&amp;quot; - it already has 250,000 members, making it the largest group that I have ever seen. There is no group of a comparable magnitute for Senator Clinton - she just doesn&amp;#39;t inspire the kind of fervent devotion that Obama does. And in the long run, that will catch up to her. Despite the fact she has the money advantage, the name advantage, the organization advantage, she is lacking in her ability to truly connect to people - something her husband was best known for. And so, ironically, Obama may be viewed as the TRUE Clinton candidate (as some media commentators have already mentioned). President Clinton was a man of the people, and so too, is Obama. And as the weeks roll by in this campaign, the supporters of Obama will start to get the word out: He is the Real Deal. So to everyone reading this - please try and do your part - tell a friend, sign up to volunteer, give some money. Involvement in the political process provides me with a feeling of incredible empowerment - I promise that you&amp;#39;ll find the same.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And with that, time to enjoy my 8AM Sunday Morning wake-up call. A bloggers work is never done, and my fight for the Union - I mean Obama, will have to wait til tomorrow.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
