I just watched an inspiring video posted on HealthReform.gov that showed President Obama reading a few of the letters he gets every day. Most of the letters the President reads on this video are about health care.

The President reads ten letters every day of about 65,000 that arrive every week. He makes a handwritten reply to three or four per day. (The White House staff replies to all of them.) The video also gives us a peak at how those letters arrive at the White House and how they are selected to go to the President.

Larry Sinclair took a Polygraph Test to Prove his Accusation

Now he has been given a polygraph test and failed!! Hes a big fat openly gay liar. He still did a good job smearing Obama and bringing up a lot of issues from the gay community. So maybe it was a good thing that he did it. Still Obama has dodged any type of political pressure about answering to the issues of gay america. Larry Sinclair failed both tests so watch the video. Whitehouse.com would have given them $100k in cash if he passed. Now there is accusations of fraud against Whitehouse.com because one of the guys got his PHD IN THE MAIL! ORGANIZING FOR AMERICA - Have You Seen This Video Yet?

Organizing for America - Have you seen This Video Yet? More then ever, you need it now to re-kindle the spirit that lived in us all prior to the election.

We need to get this video out in the public eye in a big way to re-kindle the spirit of optimism that existed prior to the election of President Obama.

Yes We Can (Change our Destiny) that is what we need to understand.

Post the inaugural, post the election, post the optimism fading, post the Republican's battle of the wills, it's sad to see our country slowly slipping back to the bad ol' days when the President is simply a news curiosity, just some guy in the White House. Barack Obama is more then that. He is the change we all voted for.

When I get pessimistic that such talk as the above is simply the talk of a dreamer, I hear President Obama speak. For instance, his speech at Notre Dame. It was historic, incredible, inspiring. it reminded me why I was so filled with hope on November 4th, 2008. When I hear him speak, I still get uplifted and remember who is in the White House.

But let us not forget the obvious, he's a human being, he can't correct everything at once, he has information now as President about our country we will never know and he is, I am confident, desperately trying to balance it all. I have not agreed with every move, espeically preventitive detention, but should we need or expect to agree with everything that anyone does? I agree with most and that's good enough for me to be a great supporter of his. I speak out when I don't agree with President Obama or anyone, but that doesn't mean I don't ardently support President Obama. In the past, I agreed with very little our Presidents have done, so this is an extremely refreshing change, especially at a time in our history which is unparalleled in it's complexity and danger to our society, our country and our world.

My only personal regret is that the video I directed and produced to keep the dreams alive, Yes We Can (Change our Destiny) has not been endorsed by Organizing for America and posted on its home page (or endorsed by Oprah or some such celebrity that can bring instant distribution to this cause, this quest to make optimsm and involvement the norm). This video should be endorsed by someone or some organization of such stature. It should be the rallying cry that we all remember to say to ourselves every day, that "YES WE CAN CHANGE OUR DESTINY." If we realize that simple truth, that we are in control of our destinies, we will work hard for change. We will become involved. Pessimism occurs when we believe we aren't in control, when we believe that hope is lost, when we believe that we can't make a difference. But the election proved how much we can change the world, how much we can accomplish when we act in unity with hope and optimism, when our world collectively believes that YES WE CAN CHANGE OUR DESTINY.

I have tried to move on, to concentrate on other causes, problems and issues in our world and my life, to not continue to push so actively to get this video "out there" more. But every time I lose hope and become pessimistic about our world, I listen to my own words in that video and I realize that Yes I can Change My Destiny and the world's destiny, that I can be part of that, that I'm not just a weak individual without a voice. I'm just as capable of changing our world as anyone. Ghandi, Rosa Parks, Mother Theresea, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Maria Montessori, Jonas Salk, Orville & Wilbur Wright, Barack Obama, yes, these are great people, but they are people, regular individuals that began with simply a dream, to change our world. When you look back through history, it's not countries or corporations that created transformative change, it was individuals. The power of the individual is stunning.

If anyone out there in the administration of Organizing for America listening please take a moment to watch this video. It's only 5 minutes. I'm a professional filmmaker, I promise you, it will be worth your time. This video was made as my service to America. But with "only" 130,000 + views (which is teeny tiny in the world of YouTube) which occurred mostly around January 20, 2008, this video is not inspiring anyone anymore. It could be inspiring millions right now to stand up and be part of the solution, not the problem, to realize one's own civic opportunity and responsibility, if Organizing for America would simply endorse this video and place it on their home page as a permanent fixture of inspiration.

Do not think I do this for any fame. I don't even want credit for this film. This project was entirely pro-bono and continues to be so. I simply want to help before my time on this Earth is over.

Film and video documentaries are beginning to roll out regarding the Bush years of echoing continuous threats to our livelihoods if we didn’t adhere, allow and fellow our vice assistant leader Dick Cheney and his chief adviser on torture assistant Mr. John Yoo, (John can recalled here and here to refresh your memories).

The latest and most popular is entitled “Torturing Democracy” and has been awarded the RFK Journalism Award, where the awards committee calls the film “The definitive broadcast account of a deeply troubling chapter in recent American history”.

National Security Archive Update, April 14, 2009:

Washington, DC - Today, the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights announced that “Torturing Democracy” has won a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for domestic television and is a finalist for the grand prize. Produced and written by eight-time Emmy winner and National Security Archive fellow Sherry Jones, the RFK Center called the documentary film on the Bush administration’s interrogation and detention policies “the definitive broadcast account of a deeply troubling chapter in recent American history.”

Woman Mouths "I Love You Barack" During Florida Town Hall Meeting (Video)

During a town hall meeting in Florida today, Obama tried to drum up support for his economic stimulus package. One emotional moment came when an elderly woman, Henrietta Hughes, pleaded for help because she is unemployed and homeless and her struggling to support her family, and Obama promised to do what he could, saying she could speak with his staff after the meeting to speed the process up. He then walked over to her and gave her a kiss.

While the crowd was understandably moved by the exchange, one woman in particular seemed deeply affected. She rises to her feet as soon as Obama comes over, and emphatically mouths the words "I love you, Barack" after he kisses Hughes. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/02/10/woman-mouths-i-love-you-b_n_165791.html

I personally think that the lady was so thankful and grateful that help is on the Way to Florida.

Everyone was so moved and affected by Ms. Hughes story and that they were all probably thinking and having a "that could have been me sleeping in my car" moment.

Hi everyone!

This is my initial blog post. I'm from Germany and track Barack Obamas presidency with European eyes and yes I support the change by Obama as good as it gets. I'm 26 y.o. and student of "Economic and Organizational Science" in Munich. Yes, the same Munich vice president Biden visited :-) and also the same Munich known from the Oktoberfest.

For me it is very interesting and exciting to experience the change that just has begun. CNN, Get Over It!!!

If you haven't heard, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (yes, the one put in place by Bush II though he really didn't have the pedigree of the other justices) flubbed the Oath of Office on Inauguration Day. Not seriously- he basically misplaced the word "faithfully", and said "you" when he should have said "I". But the Obama administration was well aware of the tendency of the conservative blogosphere to come up with outrageous conspiracies- like, "He's not really President because the adjective by the conservative justice was in the wrong place." So, just to be safe and preclude that kind of thing, they had a second swearing in today.

But no, the press, and principally CNN, wouldn't let it lie. They stated that the President has done a second swearing in three times in the past. Actually, according to CNN itself, those previous two cases were something different. Upon the death of the President, his replacement was sworn in by someone who wasn't the Supreme Court Justice, so the swearing in was redone- though it wasn't deemed to be legally necessary. At no time in the past has swearing in been redone because of a mistake in the oath- even when Chief Justice Taft messed up Hoover's swearing in. But Obama, knowing how wacko many of the extreme right can get, figured better to be safe than sorry. He wasn't counting on CNN to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

CNN is now loudly stating, ad nausea, that it was wrong for the press not to be invited to the second meaningless swearing in, as this was a moment in history that the public had a right to observe (according to Wolf Blitzer). But there was press there- it's just they were the lowly print press, and there was only a photo taken, supplied by the white house. Evidently, CNN wanted video there.

However, this was not a meaningful event, and much of the public really doesn't give a rip about it, unlike CNN. One has to wonder if CNN would only be happy if they had 24/7 security video cams in the Oval Office, to catch every irrelevant moment of the Presidency? But someone should remind Blitzer that the Presidency is not The Truman Show.

How do I know that this second swearing in was meaningless? As stated above, history clearly indicates that a misplaced word (or even, in the case of Hoover, an added word) does not require a redo. CNN seems to be caught up in extreme conservative legalism, thinking that every word matters in this video age. They need to go back and consider that, in the last 200+ years, most of the time that swearing in hasn't been recorded. What are the odds that there were other small mistakes from time to time, that people didn't care about because there was no video camera? But the primary reason why I know the second swearing in was meaningless- the President becomes President at 12:00 on the 20th. He is required constitutionally to be sworn in, but the 20th Ammendment superscedes that and makes him President at the stroke of noon. How do I know this? Because I was told this on Inauguration Day- by CNN.

Indeed, the Obama administration seems to understand and effectively leverage current Internet technology. Witness the proliferation of YouTube videos on change.gov already, and the weekly address being delivered by Internet video

Unfortunately, it is lacking English captions to make it accessible to deaf/hard-of-hearing communities, and captions in other languages, e.g., Spanish, to make it accessible to both non-English speaking US constituency and to a world-wide audience.

Yes, transcripts are provided, and we applaud the Transition team for following their commitment to accessibility. But reading the transcript is not as effective as watching a video.

I've created an "Accessibility" group here, and am waiting for approval. But for now, some captioned links:

During the past few weeks, while I've engaged in deep research of new trends in internet marketing and social media for my own entrepreneurial initiatives, I've also been keeping track of much of the on-line media involved with the Obama campaign. Of all the great promotional videos that have emerged--my favorite has been this one pioneered by MC Yogi and a local California media team:

This high quality media production really captures the progressive edge, and may have really helped ground-in votes from the younger "hip" demographic. I've participated in helping this outstanding video go viral in it's organic distribution (nearly 250,000 views in just a few short weeks) by leveraging my own social media tool and skills across my networks.

After the video was initially released, I was told by friends that MC Yogi lives nearby, and that a few people who managed the media production are people I know and have worked with here in Marin County. I had a good feeling that I would likely have an opportunity to meet MC Yogi and congratulate him on such a successful production and contribution. That opportunity finally came last night when I attended the "Groove Garden" dance party in Fairfax--where MC Yogi did a live rendition and rap of the same "Vote for Hope" song for Obama. Directly after his performance, I approached MC Yogi, and shared with him my appreciation of the production, and let him know that it really inspired me. He is a great guy, and my further encouragement led him to also peform several more crowd-inspiring raps for Ganesha, Shiva, and other spiritual reverences.

It's great to realize that with just a few creative minds and some dedicated skill and time--nearly anyone can make significant contributions toward progressive change in this world.

Powell has served his country with distinction as a member of the Army for 35 years (including service for Presidents Reagan, Bush, and Clinton as National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff), and as Secretary of State under President George W. Bush. A Republican, Powell endorsed Barack saying:

Any number of respected news outlets have done a decent job of correcting the MC Caine's assertion during the last debate that "We need to know the full extent of Senator Obama's relationship with Acorn, who is now on the verge of maybe perpetrating one of the greatest frauds in voter history in this country, maybe destroying the fabric of democracy. The same front outfit organization that your campaign gave $832,000 for "lighting and site selection." So all of these things need to be examined, of course. But for all of the McCain campaign’s manufactured fury about vote theft (and similar claims from the Republican Party over the years) there is virtually no evidence — anywhere in the country, going back many elections — of people showing up at the polls and voting when they are not entitled to.
Meanwhile, Republicans aren’t saying anything about another more serious voter-registration scandal: the fact that about one-third of eligible voters are not registered. The racial gaps are significant and particularly disturbing. According to a study by Project Vote, a voting-rights group, in 2006, 71 percent of eligible whites were registered, compared with 61 percent of blacks, 54 percent of Latinos and 49 percent of Asian-Americans.
Much of the blame for this lies with overly restrictive registration rules. Earlier this year, the League of Women Voters halted its registration drive in Florida after the state imposed onerous new requirements.
The answer is for government to do a better job of registering people to vote. That way there would be less need to rely on private registration drives, largely being conducted by well-meaning private organizations that use low-paid workers. The real threats to the fabric of democracy are the unreasonable barriers that stand in the way of eligible voters casting ballots.

All well and good, but has McCain forgotten, and why isn't the mainstream media reporting, that in 2006, McCain wasn't afraid of voter registration efforts and organizations and supported Acorn?

Marc Ambinder digs up a pretty damning video, given McCain's current line of attack on Barack Obama. In 2006, McCain told members of ACORN, UNITE HERE, SEIU, and PAW that they were "what makes America special."
As Ambinder says:
McCain had no trouble fraternizing with ACORN in 2006 when their political interests coincided with his. Now, his campaign is writing e-mails in his name bashing ACORN as a tool of the Obama machine.

Reflections on Canvassing

Both Anya and Emily have made a personal commitment to volunteer for at least three hours each week to make sure Barack wins Minnesota on November 4th.

In 1955, when racism was still a big issue in the United States of America, Ella Fitzgerald became the first African-American to perform at the Mocambo, after Marilyn Monroe had lobbied the owner for the booking. The booking was instrumental in Fitzgerald's career. Marilyn would promise the owner that she would appear every night (and be on time), and this way also fill the house--and she did, she was there every night, and she filled the house and: she was always on time! Their close friendship lasted for many years and Ella would sing Marilyn Monroe's famous 'My Heart Belongs To Daddy'in honor of her wonderful friend Marilyn Monroe, who died almost 34 years before she passed on in 1996, at age 79.

First, some good news from the new Quinnipiac poll of battleground states. Let's keep up the good work:

FLORIDA: Obama 51, McCain 43
OHIO: Obama 50, McCain 42
PENNSYLVANIA: Obama 54, McCain 39
Dates conducted: Sept. 27-29. Error margin: 3.4 percentage points.

Also, some striking video evidence of John McCain's temper. Recently he spoke before the Des Moines Register on a campaign trip to Iowa. Look at how testy he gets with the questions. It's not a pretty sight.

Jonathan Martin, who's been covering McCain for nearly two years, writes that the tape of his meeting yetserday with the Des Moines Register shows "a hard-edged McCain that is rarely seen on film."
He's strikingly testy, though -- and perhaps I'm projecting -- he may be thinking, "What am I doing in a state I may not be able to win with a newspaper that will never endorse me?"
One edgy moment: When he was asked if he had enjoyed taxpayer-backed health care throughout his life, McCain made abundantly clear what he thought of the question.

She continues to receive great feedback from old and young. Everyone seems to be so appreciative that a senior citizen has spoken up and made it easier for other senior citizens to fall in line. As we saw in the numbers today - senior citizens are really starting to break for Barack Obama and Joe Biden! Others have said how they are so grateful that she has provided them a way to bridge a gap between grandparents and grandchildren and given them something to talk about with each other.

Seattle Musician posts video-A new song titled, "Yes We Can"

I'm a singer songwriter from Seattle and I just uploaded a video to Youtube that I think is relevant in these final weeks up to the election. My song "Yes We Can," cowritten with Hans York (also Seattle resident), was uploaded today'.

The song is about Americans making change by paying attention, "staying engaged" and getting involved.

The video was filmed and coproduced by Stephen Sherrard. The music was also recorded at Stephen's studio in Issaquah. It features most of the musicians (everyone except bass player, Jon Hamer, because we forgot to move the chair between Jon and the camera when we were filming) including drummer, Ben Smith, who is currently out on tour with Heart, Dan Tyack on pedal steel, Greg Fulton on electric guitar and Hans York on acoustic.

Economic Statistics Video

I decided to play around with some images and stats I've had kicking around for awhile on the economy. Then I heard an Obama supporter on TV use the perfect words to illustrate the difference between "raising taxes" and returning rates to what they were in the 90s, with some exceptions of course. I've told people over and over "if your wallet loved the Clinton years, it will love the Obama years", so here's my video.

It's not the most elaborate thing, just a beat and slideshow I made in about an hour. But let me know what you think, what I could/should improve, and what should come next. Thanks!

     The links below are for a performance of the band Voltage with Michael Tiffany on the television show THE SET that was aired August 14th thru August 17th 2008, and THE SET is a show that is on The CCIN Network on Charter Cable. It was aired on channel three in St. Louis, and was on Charter ON DEMAND in Los Angeles and Reno.
      The first song Hitman is a song that shows the heartbreak of crime, and even though the criminal may not realize the depth of their deeds it hurts many. The second song Three Simple Rules is about a life long relationship, and the difficulties that can happen, but how love is worth it no matter what happens. The third song Corporate Greed is about exactly that, and it exposes it in a way many people may have not realized. The forth song How Dare You is aimed at politicians that ignore the will of the people, and that their only concern is special interest groups. We do not feel that Senator Obama is one of these politicians, and that the Democratic Party in general is working to better represent the full will of the people.
      I hope that you enjoy the video, and as you can see these songs have a political, social, and economic slant to them.

Using Social Networking sites and blogs to create a strong network for Obama/McCain fact checking, voter outreach and accurate information positioning about Obama's message

I am working on using social networking sites such as Faithbase.com, BlackPlanet, Facebook and others (as many as I realistic have time) to promote Obama message and to throw water on the lies and deceitful tactics that McCain is putting out there each and everyday. We can further flood out the information that McCain is putting out there, at least from a electronic vehicle point of view, if more people would sign up and use these social networking venues and blogs solely for this purpose. I believe this election is going to be decided by voter outreach and by making sure voters and undecided voters have "trustworthy" information to make an informed decision. McCain is hoping that people only see one side of the equation. We know there is always two sides of an argument, thus Obama's side needs to get out there more, especially with McCain strategic alliance to promote a one-sided information overload to the White House . If voters can get the truth, I will have to scratch my head very hard if Obama loses in November.

We need a president who strives for the principles of trustworthiness and integrity in the White House come January. Barack stated, since the beginning of his campaign that he will govern the same way he campaigns. He continue to uphold this promise. However, McCain is showing us how he wants to campaign for president, we need to show how that reflects his character judgment if elected in November. We need to be strong on the ground as well as through the network cables and servers that have helped join all of us together for one purpose, elect Barack Obama! :)

Hi Every one! :)

I know this seems very odd, because most of you didn't even know I was alive.. However, I do a few times a week do a video/radio type show about
American politics and more pointedly, what can *I* do, to do my part in helping ensure that Obama becomes the next president of the USA this November.

Tonight on my show I will be having a guest (via telephone) who will read a statement to McCain. More of an open letter. I have to tell you, it's good!
In fact very good. I had to pick my jaw up off the floor after she read it to me. She says she wrote it in 20 minutes. And that is also about how long it is
when she read it to me. Quite frankly it's brilliant!

I want you to hear it. She needs you to hear it. If you would be willing tonight at around 10 PM EST
to tune into my show on the net I would be very grateful and I have no doubt that you will be remarkably moved with her words. If you never listen to my show again, or if you leave right after she reads it, that is okay with me. She is so full of passion and insight I was literally floored! I can tell you in all honesty, that doesn't happen to me easily. I have no doubt that if you are a true believer as I am in this movement and cause you won't be able to walk away without being breathless either.
