I know, I know - everybody wants your money these days, and money doesn't grow on trees.

But this election is so important that I think it's worth pitching in to help Obama win.

That's why I am suggesting the "$44 for the 44th" fundraising drive. Let's see if we can get our friends and family members to contribute $44 apiece to the Obama campaign between now and Election Day. I started it by giving $44 after the debate on Oct. 15.

Hi all:

I had a lovely time at the Westport League of Women Voter's Brunch today, attended by 91 excited people and a few of the candidates, Jim Himes and Nitzy Cohen. Their races are really vital for the Democrats. Jim Himes will push out Chris Shays after a 19-year reign, and Nitzy Cohen will make a formidable opponent vs. Joe Mioli. Talk about a time for a change. Shays is one of the old guard that really needs to get his a** out of there and not look back!

Time for a change at all levels!

MAB LAB- the lab formed in 1999 and was active until 2004-they resumed performing in 2006 after a hiatus and do 1 or 2 gigs a year. MAB LAB stands for Moving Arts Beyond Labels & Boundaries. Mab Lab will play there lone gig in 2008 in support of Barack Obama the next president of the United States. It's too long that we have had to endure the madness in the white house athough it gave us plenty of inspiration to write music that is politcally aware and socially concious.

Regional Recipes for Obama Fundraiser

Hello, Friends!
We here at Families for Obama are in the midst of a national fundraiser, and we NEED your help!We are publishing an electronic version of a cookbook, featuring recipes from supporters, along with their state, their testimonial about WHY they support Senator Obama, and, if possible a photo (even better if they are sporting Obama gear!) We are also REALLY looking for patriotic drawings by your kids to include in the book. The entire project will bepublished electronically as a PDF file and will be distributed via a download link in exchange for campaign donations from supporters, who may then choose to burn it to cd, print it out, have it bound - or just keep it handy on their computer!This project has campaign approval, and stands to raise quite a bit of money, if lots of supporters participate! Please do not assume that others from your state will do it - take a moment to send us your recipe(s), photos, drawings, testimonials, etc. to ensure your state is proudly represented!All submissions should go to familiesforobama@gmail.com.Thanks everyone!
