Previously was not so! This is not a technical error! This is not a
national law (doctrine) Information Security USA! Write what exactly
to do to return the messages encoded UTF-8? We write in Cyrillic! We

Starting with the spam

Obama seems to be very up to date with the tmies and technologies of today, maybe it is having 2 teenage daughters that have many friends keeps him in the loop, or maybe having a great support team behnid him that is not only hungry but young and dynamic. ...maybe its both.

We have a global war on economy, but we also have many other global wars waging on including pollution & cyber crime. We all have heard of the conficker worm being almost as bad as the blaster or storm worm with an unknown command waiting to be executed on april 1st.

Is this the big anti virus companies uniting together behind closed doors, and creating a "fake" worm to get everybody excited about, and to generate revenue during this bleek economic crisis? Is it really the russian, or romanian mafia connected underground we keep seeing in the movies trying to come up with more ways of storing cash in their coffers...or maybe even the chinese lying in wait for the perfect opportunity to get a hold of a botnet with enough power to DDoS attack the USA?

Whatever you might think, there is one way to avoid all the spam. Security experts working at google being represented in part by Amanda Kleha at http://googleenterprise.blogspot.com/2009/03/spam-data-and-trends-q1-2009.html describe the problem having come back at a woping 94% of all emails being spamm.

If the USA were to push and adopt a backend ISP regulation that stipulates all emails will be charged for (at let's say .0001 cent) with a cap of 100$ for residential sector (in case grandma and grandpa did not know their computers were the ones sending the emails in the first place)..we could conclude 2 things.

1 - The business like atire the criminal industry is wearing for the job would now become more expensive to tailor and would ultimately push a few cut throats beyond the point of profits. Also being that the expenses would be more , they would have to charge more, and a "restructuting" of the industry would be needed...much like our economic situation right now.

2 - The grandma and grandpa running their computers night and day without thinking twice about having proper investments in AVs or updates would be made aware of their "situation" by a statement including the new price cap, which would render them unable to sit idle. They would first call their ISPs to know why (if the description of the charge did not effectively convey the message) and then would be given a few different options to proceed in rectifying their problem.

This will definately cause a big dent, in the armor of that big giant waving that magic SPAM wand.

Now if we could get all the ISPs to agree.....imagine what we could do?

My First Time Hosting an Event

Hello friends,

I am just going to let you how my first time as an event's Host went. To tel you the truth it was not like I expected it to be, but I learned from it, and next time I will be more prepared. We went to a K-Mart store located in Bellflower on Rosescrans and McNab , CA and we could not hand out pledges because for them to let us do so, we have to contact their headquaters, and since it was week-end headquaters was close. Also I expected 8 people who sign up for the event, , and only 6 peoples showed up, only 3 was from the signed up list. and I am wondering if there is something that I did wrong or if the event was not advertized enough. How do people actually get more people. The weather was not favorable so we could not really do much. but it was my first time I guess, I hope next time will be better. I am counting on any of your advises, strategies in how you made your event more successfull. I will be reading your post with interest.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt Discusses President Obama's Business Sit Down

Wednesday, January 28, 2009 | Late today President Obama's economic recovery package cleared the House of Representatives. Now, the hope is that it will be signed into law before Presidents' Day holiday. To build support for that plan, President Obama summoned business leaders to the White House where he told them the nation demands swift and bold action to create jobs. Google's Eric Schmidt was one of the CEO's meeting with Obama today. Darren Gersh spoke with Schmidt shortly after that session and began by asking him for his take on the Obama meeting.

ERIC SCHMIDT, CHAIRMAN & CEO, GOOGLE: This is a president in a hurry. This is a president who wants to make things happen very, very quickly. He's been around for a week. He's calling people saying what do you think? What do you want to get done? In this particular group, he was interested in what the actual business situation and it's not good and that was the report that we gave to the president.

DARREN GERSH, NIGHTLY BUSINESS REPORT CORRESPONDENT: It's interesting because he used the word sober to talk about the tone in the meeting. My take away from that was that the message you guys gave him was that this recession is gathering momentum, that the downturn is accelerating. Is that correct? Is that what you were telling him?

SCHMIDT: There's a whole bunch of people who see their businesses getting worse or worried about it getting worse and they're getting ready to deal with that. There's a feeling that the government needs to act quickly. And if it doesn't act quickly, it will get worse. We don't really know. It's certainly not getting better.

GERSH: In terms of the government acting quickly though, there is a big stimulus plan going. Some people say it's too small. It looks like a lot of that money won't get spent until towards the fall and maybe a little lop-over into the next fiscal year which starts in October for the Federal government. Is that too slow? Were people concerned about that?

SCHMIDT: From the CEO perspective, anything that slows things down is a problem. The stimulus package is a two-year cycle. Everything is supposed to get done within two years. Obviously within that two-year period the earlier the better. A lot of the money though goes, remember, the state and local governments which can spend it very quickly and also for unemployment and so forth which is stimulative.

Stipulations for Big 3 Government Aid:

Step 1: Require loan applicant to come up with a modern and extremely detailed business plan including employee pay and benefits, as well as a time horizon for developing a practical fleet of clean, oil free autos.

Step 2: No management or executive pay shall be derived from the loans. Loans are to be used for R & D (with detailed weekly progress reports or funding is pulled), worker compensation, care, and benefits, advertising, and building materials.

My Adwords Account on Google

I've signed up with adwords.google.com to get some little text ads to support Obama (those text ads that appear to the right of the screne sometimes when you search on Google). It allows you to put in keywords, bid on those keywords, create multiple ads with multiple sets of keywords and even target the ads to specific websites. I targeted a bunch of ads raising awareness about how bad Sarah Palin actually is on women's issues to women's sites, for example. You only pay if people click through on your ad and you can specify a daily maximum. I specified $2 as my daily maximum. Which means it costs my $60 / month. It's a bit of money, but so far, my ads have shown up a total of 449,092 times and I've had 273 people click through. Not great as far as click-thrus, I realize, but each of my ads says something specific about _why_ I support Obama, oppose McCain, oppose Palin, etc. So, not so many people may click through, but almost half a million people have seen what I've had to say, and all that for just $60 / month.

House Repubs: want to reck the Country to reclaim the seat in 4 years.

We are in a moment at a time of leadership: the fire and wood chips have been placed in the House of Representatives. When people start to lose their jobs, the secert room chats start to come out: "House Repubs (Reagan File Republicans) are voting against their own party presidents bill. Whoever is elected is screwed and will carry this big anchor around their neck. The repubs, who really don't care that much for McSame: as they call him (John McCain) anyhow, are pretty sure they are going to lose this election. They are hoping to see a dem fail to have a better shot in four years with a legitimate candidate." -- Former NY Sun Reporter

A rumor on the hill leaked from an out of work reporter stated: "House repubs are now losing lots of money in the market, like everyone else. They are caught between a rock and a hard place and most likely will have to pass this bill, but for all the wrong reasons." -- Former NY Sun Reporter

This country is at a moment in time where you can't sink the country; in order to regain the seat 4 years later. That's not leadership: that's rackateering. He was so hungry on the axis of evil, and forgot about his own house. Which in tern burnt his country -- maybe G. W. Bush didn't know because: NOBODY LISTENED. This is the change we need in Washington, when everyone knows that they can't beat the system. They can't vote for the regulations in Wall Street, and then say: I didn't make that law: The other party did. It's time to unify both parties, and stop the bickering of you did this and they did that. It's time to work for the American people -- because for once they really need it. It doesn't matter if your from the north, south, east west, middle, off the coast, or a terriorty: YOU are an American product. So if one state hurts, the next territory will hurt. We have 600,000 unemployed Americans, and in Washington they are fill-bustering the bills so they can make a few dollars in the market. Maybe their should be a tax on Congress that uses stock market revenues as campaign contribution. What I mean is they are placing their money into a product on Wall Street, and getting funds. That's how we got into this mess, and it started with the Reagan File Republicans: and when Nacy Pelosi told them the party was over they: wanted to remove her from the seat. That's a shame!

Protecting American Voting Rights!

In America, your right to vote makes you an American. In America, your right to vote makes you a tax-payer. In AMerica, your right to vote gets you one step closer at being a citizen. All around the country, voter registration drives, have re-boasted the vibe of voting. Organizations like A.C.O.R.N. which means: Association of Community Organization for Reform Now, have been working too hard in order to get people registered. Yet, the House Republican Base, who's seats are endangered see this organization or any organization like A.C.O.R.N. as a problem. This problem is the same problem that helps people get registered to vote: more like Rock the Vote. In fact both of these two organizations fuel off the same information and ideas set down by the federal government.

What I can't understand is why two programs that do idnentical things, in terms of functioning and voter's rights -- are at the opposite side of the House/ Republican's table: here's an idea! A.C.O.R.N. brings in 90% of their voter drives to the Democratic Party, While Rock the vote brings in 45% of their drives to the Democratic Party. Rock the Vote turns in 55% for the Republican Party, and A.C.O.R.N. turns in 10% to the Republican party -- so this means the Republicans can't inspire their base so they want to pick which program works and what doesn't to favor them. Fact are: 55% of newly registered voters are Democrat, with 25% are independent -- with 20% Republican. Now they want to take away your rights.

The Repubs base wants to say this: These people are criminals, these people are illegally here; these people are not competent enough to vote. Listen, they ARE WRONG: During the primaries, you voted on the voter act initiative; which protects your rights unless you are mentally challenged -- and even then you still have the right to vote with assistance.

8: A homeless person can vote if were they usually stay: they can use that place like: a park, a shelter, or a citizen sibling in good standing -- in which they reside in the county of the state they are registering in to vote.

Racial Profiling: It's Getting Worse in Missouri
Missouri - Black drivers are nearly 50% more likely than whites to be stopped by Missouri police and twice as likely to be searched, even though police are less likely to find contraband than with white drivers, according to the state's annual report on racial profiling. Released May 31, the report also found that the problem is getting worse.

The report showed that blacks were pulled over at rates 49% greater than their presence in the driving age population. The numbers were 34% in 2004 and 42% in 2005.

"As I have said in previous years, the disparity index for African-American and Hispanic drivers continues to be of concern," Attorney General Jay Nixon said in his written analysis of the report. "Law-abiding drivers have the right to travel throughout Missouri without the fear that they will be stopped based solely on their race or ethnicity."

White drivers were stopped at a rate slightly below their percentage of the population, while Hispanic drivers were stopped at a right slightly above it. Asians, American Indians, and people of mixed race were all stopped at rates well below what would be expected.

Blacks and Hispanics were twice as likely to be searched as whites, even though police were most likely to find contraband in searches of vehicles driven by white drivers. Police found contraband in 14.4% of searches of Hispanic drivers, 18.7% of black drivers, and 22.2% of white drivers.

Despite lower levels of successful searches among black and Hispanic drivers, they were still twice as likely to be arrested during a traffic stop than white drivers. Five percent of white drivers pulled over ended up going to jail, while slightly more than 10% of black and Hispanic drivers did.

The report was based on an analysis of more than 1.6 million traffic stops, 128,000 searches, and 94,000 arrests made by state and local police in Missouri in 2006.

Barack's Position on the US Military Surge in Iraq...Right On Target

This message is about Barack's position on the US military surge in Iraq. I think Barack was absolutely right.

The points I would like to see/hear him make repeatedly are as follows:

1.) Iraq still has a major sectarian divide, for which there is no military solution.

2.) Only a political solution by Iraqis can bring Iraq together. Powell and others said the same thing.

3.) Without resolving the sectarian divide politically, but maintaining the US military surge, the US could inadvertently be perceived as occupiers in Iraq that would be siding with the most powerful sectarian group in the Iraqi government. This could also undermine the sense of urgency for such a group to make political overtures to other Iraqi groups in order to stabilize the country; as the most powerful group would have little incentive to do so because it may perceive itself as being supported by the US military that keeps the violence down. The most powerful sectarian group could even adopt the position of willingly not making political overtures to other groups, while “hiding behind the shield" of a US military surge. That would be clear manipulation of our military by a foreign government.

4.) Decreasing US troop presence in Iraq, placing the responsibility squarely on the shoulders of Iraqis to bring their country together, is the right thing. The people of Iraq have to learn that violence is not the solution for bringing their country together. Many Iraqis probably already realize this.

5.) It wasn't just the US military surge that led to a reduction in violence, and without other Iraqi involvement independent of the surge strategy, violence across Iraq and in the captial could still be higher.

6.) John McCain's campaign, and the conservative media, are trying to over simplify a complex issue, without giving full credit to all the factors (particularly groups of cooperating Iraqis) involved that led to the lower level of violence in Iraq.

I admire the Obama campaign's identification. How about using documentation and eye-witness accounts to refute the false claims of being a practicing Muslim, that he was sworn in on the Koran and etc.

For example, with respect to religion. Why not post a copy of the baptism paper/certificate? With respect to swearing in, why not a recorded statement by the person who swore him in and/or the witnesses?

The only problem I see is solving the problem on how to get the truth out to the people in a very real way. Maybe a speech? I'm not sure. How do you capture the attention of the "low information voters" in order to tell them the truth?

How about gathering email addresses from supporters in office? The effort would be to send an email message out. How about using Google and other search engines in order to deliver the information? Maybe a flashing message saying something like "THE TRUTH about Obama!" Style it like a Republican on the surface, once they click on the "ad," then present the truth. Use third party references, Governors and other web sites (like FactCheck.org) to enforce the truth and dispel the lies.

I don't have a Barack's web site saved on this (my work) computer, so whenever I want to visit the site, I type in the name in search and go via the link.

A half hour ago, I went to 'Obama' search on ask.com, and the first (non-sponsored) link that popped up was an unfavorable Fox News article. Now, maybe it's the conspiracy theorist in me, or maybe it's the fact that I work w/ a lot of viral marketing campaigns, but it looked a little fishy to me. One thing that can happen is an anti-Obama person/group/other can say, "Hey, we want this story to be the first thing that comes up when people search for Barack Obama. Let's continually click on this story so that it raises higher on the rankings." So click, click, click go these anti-Obama entities until the article or website is the first result for Obama searches.

The best way to counter this (or even better, prevent it to begin with) is to search for Barack's site via search engines. What I plan to do, for instance, is bookmark "Obama" (and separately) "Barack" in the search section of Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Ask.com. That way, each day, I'll do my itty-bitty part to ensure that Obama's legit site is the first thing that pops up in searches.

This might sound a little confusing (I think I somewhat confused myself!), but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

I spent a good chunk of this weekend testing out one of those programs that google created that you probably don't realize exists. I wanted to design something in 3d, so what better of a choice than the man himself.. Barack Obama! It's not extremely detailed, but was a fun little project.

It’s a little under 400 polygons. The next step is a full body version which I’ll create when I get some time. Sketchup’s texturing abilities are great for flatter objects, but I’ve still got a bit to learn about how to apply it to organically shaped objects without seams. Each polygon’s texture on this model was painstakingly aligned by hand. In newer versions, I hope to make it seamless with several larger textures instead.

OK, when talking about Obama I generally like to focus on his positive traits, versus attacking his opponents. But something I saw in the news today was just so, so incredibly disappointing.

It's a quote from Hillary Clinton, who seems to be continuing her downward slide into Roveian/GOP tactics in her attempt to regain a lead in this primary.

Here's the quote:

"I think that I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002."

Using Technology for Change

There are a lot of things that impress me about Barack Obama, but his desire to use technology to create transparency in government is one issue that truly does set him apart.

His campaign updates his YouTube channel about a half dozen times per day, often including in-depth interviews with promoters, footage of promotional stops, and many well-edited and mixed TV interviews. Hillary updates 3-5 times a week, mostly with ads and TV excerpts. I couldn't find an official John McCain outlet. His website includes community webware (think MySpace), and I'm sure helps the people within it organize more effectively.

So when he says that he wants to expand the workings of the first bill he passed as a congressman, his "Google for Government" program, to organize and make transparent the government's workings through technology, I believe him. That transparency can be seized upon by a concerned America, because the government isn't great at policing itself. Barack knows that.

In this way, his message is different from Hillary's: "We" versus "She." She wants to fix things. It's a noble sentiment. But Barack knows that no politician in Washington can fix the nation. WE have to do it, and we have to be enabled by political communities like on his website, and OnTheIssues.

There are other good examples of technology being used as part of sensible, positive change. He went to Detroit to insist that they change their technology (despite the tepid applause). He promised to help them by subsidizing R&D costs in exchange for progress and commitment from them and the American people. The Obama health care plan wants to streamline and digitize our medical records, most of which are inexplicably still on paper.

The lack of these credentials and ideas in the propositions and efforts on the part of the current administration (who prefers the destructive status quo), as well as that of McCain (who has no interest), and Clinton (who has no excuse, really).

Google Analytics and the race for president

Just an interesting thing to look at. Contrast the trends in google searches from last month, with the trends for this month.

Notice anything different? Just when people are tuning in like never before. Barack Obama has been drawing more attention and interest than any other candidate, ESPECIALLY in primary states leading up to and including Super Tuesday.

This bodes really well for us. If you look at the trends and correlate them with the poll averages and you'll see a noticable correlation between big jumps in internet search trends for obama preceding and following large climbs in the polls. Take a look at sub-regions. Prior to almost erasing Clinton's lead in NH and Nevada, there was a surge in search interest in Obama. Now he's having a HUGE boost in interest in key February 5th states like New York (yeah!!!) and Massachusetts.

Let's hope that not only are people checking out Barack -- but that, like most people, they're liking what they see when they do!

Suspiciously, right after I made my last post, news.google.com changed the heading of their lead debate article from "Clinton Shines" to "Democratic Candidates End Dispute on Race, Debate Other Issues". Coincidence? Probably. :P Although, I still believe that FDR assassinated Huey Long.

I have found several new instances of randomly generated computer bias against Barack:

1) The lead article for all debate related articles is "Clinton Shines in Vegas" from TheStreet.com, even though none of the 700+ other articles have that same message

2) Right below it is "The Hillary-Tyra Show", even though Barack was just on Tyra! There was no article about his visit to Tyra

3) Below that is "Bill Clinton To Speak at UC Davis", which used to be under the heading "Bill Clinton wows UCD". Like the Chelsea article from before, this one only has 26 news articles.

4) If you search for "Barack Obama", the only article that shows just a picture of him is entitled "Sexism, racism emerging from Clinton-Obama rivalry". All other articles show a split picture of Barack and Hillary or JUST HILLARY

Okay, I know it's a computer, but seriously, this is rather blatant.

I am beginning to think that there is bias in news.google.com. I first thought this was unlikely because a computer picks out the news stories through a formula based upon several factors. However, upon further reflection, I realized something must be up, because:

A) They have had a story about Chelsea Clinton up for hours, and it only has "six news articles" that deal with it.

B) They've had a entry up for days entitled "Voters Hear Fluff" describing Obama, but the "other news articles" in general say nothing negative about him.

C) They have no entry mentioning Senator Clair McCaskill's endorsement of Obama, despite over 200 news articles detailing her endorsement of Obama.

There are other examples, but these highlight what I see as a general trend of bias.

Google's success came from an understanding of what Chris Anderson refers to as "the long tail," the collective power of the small sites that make up the bulk of the web's content.

Microsoft’s success came from not so much of innovation in the technology area - The ability to adapt and lock you in one platform by closely protecting the key areas.

In today’s world, I can't imagine my life without Google or Microsoft. However, the question is what strategies drive Google and Microsoft to the top.

If I draw the same analogy to Obama and Clinton nomination -

Obama's success came from several thousands individual volunteers who have only one thing in common - Prepare America for the 21st century with the young, dynamic “do good” next generation leader.

Clinton’s success came from bunch of big boys who obviously expect favorable deals once she holds the powerful pen.

We are in the politics 2.0 world. Change, Innovation and the new mindset is going to make America competitive once again in the world stage. Google proved to the world that it can beat the big boys with innovation and focus. I am sure Obama can prove to the US presidency that he is the start of "change".

Early February I wrote a blog on Barack Obama, the new presidential hopeful. Then I was in awe of the 'audacity' of this man from nowhere, much inspired by him and his dreams and I wondered whether his hopeful dash had anything to teach the UK. However, I concluded my blog with these words: "Much as I would like Barack Obama to become the next President, I do not think that he will, on this round. I think he should be Hillary Clinton's running mate and what an unstoppable team they would be - his charisma with her experience, not to mention the differing gender, race and personal ethos which would add extra appeal. He would at least dent her conservatism while gaining the necessary training to succeed after her.

I'm all for the first amendment. However, there are some days when I'd like it if someone in the Congress would introduce legislation that would deny internet/computer access to the intellectually dishonest and the politically impaired.

For the heck of it, I ran a google news search on Barack Obama today. Much to my chagrin, l found an article at the very top of page one by Ben Shapiro titled, Iran: Praying for Obama. Shapiro's prior claim to fame was authoring "Porn Generation: How Social Liberalism Is Corrupting Our Future" as well as "Brainwashed: How Universities Indoctrinate America's Youth." Nice.

In this article, Ben writes, among other obsurdities, "The political embodiment of that post-modernism -- that nihilistic resignation -- is the modern Democratic Party. Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, the Democrats' bright new star, is no more capable of global leadership than Jacques Chirac. Obama's politics of 'understanding' dictates that evil cannot be fought -- it must be placated with psychobabble."

Seems Shapiro does know something about babble and about being psycho.
