The Obvious and Predictable

When President Obama addressed congress last concerning the amount of (what was to me) obvious attempts to cause him problems, you could see John McCain laughing and waving at him as if to say, "See, there you go, you wanted the job, now you deal with this! HaHa! His childish waving and laughing was what we can expect from the Bush/Rove type liars and what I realise is present in Arizona. Every Arizonan I speak to, (and I live here, grew up in the same school district with Cindy Hensley, John McCain's present wife, when she was in grammar school and high school) has a story to tell about one of either Senator Kyle or Representitive Shaddeg. The story is always how these men helped someone with their personal life by using their influence and authority in the way it was intended, to help the state's citizens when some government Bureaucracy was trying to do something wrong to that person. Sometimes it has to do with people who aren't doing their job properly, sometimes it is some new person trying to read the rules that congress wrote incorrectly. I.E. one state law in Arizona was written to say, "...if the prospective clients expenses excede their income, then, they are inelligible for help." It was a typo, obviously. If someone's expenses did NOT excede their income, why would they need help? It also tells them to throw away a person's documents when they are given to them for recording after making copies. Tell me why you would throw away someone's birth certificate, car registration, etc. It was meant to say, when a person gets a letter from an authority or landlord to verify that they have a residence, then, don't let them use the same letter twice. Some new people in the state DES office have thrown away legal documents belonging to the client since they are not smart enough not to ask if it doesn't make sense.

I am not going to go into my extent of knowledge of the laws concerning family assistance but they are legislated and written poorly and then given the discretion of the control freaks in offices here who may or may not be a person who thinks their job is to deny everyone they possibly can for help. Some of those people think if you happened to have a car nicer than theirs, it is up to you to eat your car if you lose your job, since their own car buying choice is greatly lacking. Some laws are left up to interpretation. In some D.E.S. offices there is blatant racial discrimination. There are minorities running the offices who believe that all white people are somehow able to find some rich uncle who will give them millions if they lose their job so they don't need help. If a white person goes into some of those offices they aren't asked what they want, they are told to take a number and sit down. After waiting half a day to get their number called, they go to the window and find out they could have just asked for an application and been given it, but the rude people at the desk like treating them like second class citizens. That is Arizona. We have the worst job statistics since anyone who is selling education here lists it as a job, then they say, "Oh, well, if you want that job, let me sign you up for our school and maybe you can then find a job like that on your own." They say we have jobs when we don't because some jobs won't hire but one kind of people. I tried to do farm labor. The MYTH that only Mexican Illegal Aliens want those jobs is a complete lie. The farm bosses who hire won't hire you if you aren't an illegal alien since they can get away with cheating those people over and over by stealing their pay. You or I would go to the police, the small claims court, or the state labor department, but, illegals can't do that. That is why they are the only ones they will hire. Just let's say, this is part of what they call the new global economy. It entails the new form of American Slave Labor.

Health care needs to be taken care of but John McCain and his leg dragger crew are fast at work making themselves into the anchor connected to whatever legislation the president needs t send up the channel for things running smoothely. They think it is funny that they stall legislation to act like a three year old. We should be standing on his front lawn next time he does that and asking him who he thinks he is. The tea party people are a fabrication developed by some people who say that they "report news" but are owned by the same propagandists who also owns and operates Al Jazeera English which is the other Fair and Balanced fake news show which supports Islam. If you don't think Fox News and Al Jazeera are the same thing, then look at their articles and see if they don't all go the same way. Al Jazeera uses the terms "fair and balanced" and "the axis of evil". Does that sound familiar?

The same liars who fed you all that previous baloney are in charge of both stations. If you don't find that scary then, you aren't paying attention. Some day the people who hurt the non-wealthy of our planet will be recognised but probably not in this decade, since there are so many American Liars who are bound and determined to ruin the United States for selfish political reasons, just so they can say they "won". When we are completely bankrupt, having to make concessions to Red China, the communists who we already owe money to, then, they can say, "See, we made Obama fail." Just like the same people who advised George Bush to ruin our economy, are the same ones in charge of the teaparty revolt, it would seem that most people would wise up, but so much for common sense.

My story

My story is this: Years ago, I retired as a school district operations supervisor. (My responsibilities were hiring contractors and operations staff, and overseeing purchasing.) I have owned a profitable business called Southeast Entertainment for thirty years. This business planned tours for entertainers and put shows together. Since retiring, I have shown my leadership in the community by organizing fundraisers to benefit students. Through our fundraising efforts, we were able to give over $2500 to care for a student with a brain tumor and $2500 to help a student whose parents were killed in an auto accident. I personally contributed all of the mailing and advertising costs. For the past couple of years, the modest profits Southeast Entertainment has made have all been funneled into providing college scholarships at two high schools and discount tours to seniors. After organizing the student fundraisers, I decided to help families going through hardships in the community to make a better life for themselves through business. I started purchasing businesses I found on the Internet but soon realized that they were all too complicated, too expensive, or just scams. My friend was making a good living buying merchandise from a liquidation company at below wholesale prices. After researching the company, I decided to give it a try. I ordered seventeen items to check the quality, cost, and delivery time. With the help of four friends, I checked out the goods and found them acceptable, with just a three-day delivery time. I have since learned that if I become a platinum agent, I can get a better price and improve my profit margin. I contacted two high schools to find families who would want to start their own businesses, and as a result I am working with two single mothers (one of whom has a handicapped daughter and the other has four children). The company, which I named A B H, will supply them with catalogs, circulars, letters, postcards, mail-order marketing, and advertising materials so they can get started. I will show them how the program works and how it will benefit them. They will be involved in contacting businesses; passing out flyers; sending out postcards, circulars, and letters; and taking orders. After showing them the merchandise we purchased, the first family decided to sell ladies and men's gift watch sets, and the second family selected student backpacks. With help from both of the families, including the children, A B H has been able to obtain a business license and Internet domain. We are now working on a website and marketing and business plan.

Are YOU giving up??

It seems to me that during the election and right after the election, everyone was excited and ready to get things done. Now it seems like it's hard to even find a meeting in which people can get together and discuss how we can help make changes happen. I am not finding any events in my area or people that would be willing to come to an event if I were to host one.

I have spoken to people (that said they wanted change) who have given up on our president (who they voted for) and everything we have worked so hard to accomplish. Their reason for this - they have not seen any change. This I can not believe is coming out of their mouths... really. It has been what, just months - MONTHS. Do they have any idea what so ever the amount of clean-up that needs to be done?? Do they really and truly think things will change over night?? Especially since they have given up and that means more work for everyone else to do. These people believed in and voted for Barack Obama. How can they give up so easily? How can they not see the work that needs to be done and their roll in it as an individual that wants change? Why dont they understand? These things frustrate me beyond belief. But the answer is, we need to find a way to help them understand. Help them to see what needs to be done to make change happen. Sometimes people just don't get it, they don't understand, they can't see it. So it is our jobs as American citizens to help our fellow Americans understand. We need to be talking to our friends and neighbors. Tell them to call their senators and tell them what they want for their communities. There are many things we can be doing.

People want change, but it's like they want other people to make it happen for them. This is your country, you want change then stand up and say so. Do something to help make it happen. Those people in office are there working for YOU. You put them there to represent YOUR voice. What is it you want them to say that YOU want??? Tell them what you want. It's what being American gives you the PRIVILEGE to do!

So maybe we are all sitting around thinking the same thing. We 'want' to do something, but we might have questions on how to get started, or how to approach things - or whatever the question might be. That is why we get together and talk about it, put our heads together and come up with great solutions. We are Americans and can accomplish great things - together.

Remember we are the UNITED states of America.

Perhaps because we are best when we come together.

Happy New Year of The Bible 2010 by Paul Broun

2010 Year of the Bible by Paul Broun AP/Photo

Happy New Year of The Bible 2010 by Paul Broun

On our countdown to a new year in 2010, Paul Broun (R-Ga.) wants everyone to ring in the “Year of the Bible”. He wants to pass legislation to honor the good book. Opposition is strong in the Democratic party, but whats the big deal? We’re already burning them suckers in Afghanistan. I wrote a post about it, and got negative feedback from every dem, saying I’m a GOP’r in disguise. In fact, I’m just a student pointing out similarities between different governments past and present. That isn’t choosing sides at all. When people see a political blog, they are automatically trying to figure out what party I am affiliated with. None. Well, whoever decides to pay me the most. Just kidding(That’s illegal for all you kids out there, no selling votes.) Sorry for ranting but I’ve been enraged at some of my readers that just don’t get the whole picture. Someone said I’m a Christian that hates America. No, I’m a Christian that loves America; the thought of America more like it. It used to stand for something, and all I see and read is how far it has gone from what our forefathers set forth to achieve. I am not ashamed of being an American. Our differences are what makes this country unique. I say instead of the “Year of the Bible”, we just go with the Chinese astrology and name it after an animal. Or we can ring in the New Year as a world united. All across Washington people are joking about what year its going to be after that. Year of the encyclopedia? Quran? Las Vegas escort Pamphlets? Whatever the year, I’ll be ringing it in with a smile, knowing I’m in a country that spends too much time on a stupid idea. Hey Paul Broun, think of a way to get your ass back to work on important things.

Read more: http://politicalpete.com/happy-new-year-of-the-bible-2010-by-paul-broun/#ixzz0H8631Y2F&B
MADD Against Everyone

MADD Against Everyone
This past Memorial Day, people got in their swimming trunks and bikinis and loaded up the Texas sized big rigs with alcohol. It’s Memorial day weekend and Dallas Police get the warrants to have a no refusal weekend and the right to draw your blood and take you to jail on the spot. Well who cares? Everyone should care because one group of Mad mom’s are infringing on peoples rights. If you are caught drinking on a boat, they can force you to do a breathalyzer, and if you refuse, they draw your blood on the spot and take you to jail. They say this is very effective because out of the 51 people that were tested, all of them plead guilty. Well, what I see is, Police officers are there to enforce the law. They have no right to administer medical procedures on anyone. Even if they take a class on how to do it and are certified. They are not licensed professionals, and they are impeding on Doctor/Patient confidentialities. Maybe this is just me, but this is an outrage. MADD should not get involved in activities at the lake or on the water. Sure, obey boating laws, and don’t litter on the beach but geez. Get a life MADD. Mothers Against Drunk Driving, not Mothers Against All Things Alcohol Related and no longer effect my children(because they are dead from DRUNK DRIVERS). Try to arrest me on a boat and take my blood, I’m going to swim my ass to a lawyer. Notice how the police believe that upon a refusal they have the automatic right to a search warrant. Probable cause to arrest never occurs to them. We don’t spend a lot of time teaching police the value or nuances of the 4th, 5th, or 6th amendments. So it’s not suprising that they have no working knowledge of your rights. By the way 4th = Unreasonable Search and Siezure, 5th = Right to Due Process, 6th = Right to Trial (Mostly the Part about Accusation, and Disclosure of Indictment). So get a lawyer because MADD just might make your city or state a Vampire Nation of Police with Permanent Warrants to draw your blood and take you to jail costing you up to $10,000 in fines and fees; not to mention community service, loss of drivers license, alcoholics anonymous classes, personality assessments, and annual fees totaling thousands.
http://politicalpete.com/
Read more: http://politicalpete.com/madd-wants-to-pass-legistlation-that-would-make-dallas-full-time-needle-poking-place/#ixzz0H85mHbAq&B

Prayer Request for April 29, 2009

This week our focus has been placed on addressing the ills of our economy. Even after the recent election, we view the economy, still, as our Issue #1.

Our Verse of the Day April 28, 2009 (http://www.whitehouseprayerteam.blogspot.com) was "Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?"— Psalm 85:6 (NIV) God is working to restore back to us all that which has been taken away from us. He knows our hearts and will work to perform what it is we seek Him for.

Monday-Wednesday (April 27-29, 2009) we are praying for those friends and family members we have enduring the woes of the housing crisis. Sub-prime loans, greed and corruption, not to mention financial irresponsibility has driven the nation into the slumps of a crisis that has not been known for over 50 years.

We don't accept this as finite. We don't see this the end all be all, however, we rest our hopes not in the White House, but instead in the Creator who sees and knows all. He loves us and rewards our good deeds.

Join in with us tomorrow and pray for those who are struggling to see the light at the end the tunnel. As you pray, believe that God is hearing you when you pray. Although we need faith to overcome those things that we see, we also must count on the actions we perform to act out our faith in what it is we do not yet see.

So many people have contacted the prayer team by email at whitehouseprayer@live.com to be added to our prayer list and we would hope that you follow their steps as well. Others have also contacted us seeking to provide free consultations and advisement. (*All parties have been informed that any services provided must be at no cost). Add your email for that information as well.

Listen, we believe in God. He truly answers prayer! Join with us in prayer and we will ensure that our empowered time with Him raises those things we request pass the ceiling and into the welcome of His love.

This is our prayer-WHPT

Change has come to HealthCare today!

For all those who voted for Change to the health care industry, The new Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, was briefed today in the Situation Room by John Brennan,
, Assistant to the President for Homeland Security, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and the National Security Chief of Staff, Mark Lippert. Sebelius was sworn in moments earlier in the Oval Office by the Vice-President, Joe Biden in the presence of Mr. Obama.

Some of the issues I think we all have wanted to come to the fore front of the Health Care industry is the obvious Social Security and Medicare concerns, but in addition to that, Secretary Sebelius will be address hospital records, emergency room care, and additional assistance to our returning vets from the war zones.

All that sounds like campaign talk however, on the local fronts, our special needs children stand to gain from this appointment as well as many of our elderly with preconditions. It must be said that The White House Prayer Team does not agree with many of the former Governor of Kansas controversial policies while in that office. Nor do we believe many of her views will change in light of this latest appointment.

Just as early as this past week, the then Governor who favors abortion rights, vetoed a bill last week that would have restricted late-term abortions. Although we believe in the independent rights of women, the prayer team does not support late-term abortions unless for the welfare of the mother.

"Governor Sebelius is the right person for the job," said Democratic Sen. Max Baucus of Montana, the chairman of the Finance Committee. "She has political experience, determination and a bipartisan work ethic to get the job done. She knows the nuts and bolts of the health care system and she's been a governor so she knows how to work with Democrats and Republicans."

Overall, we love this appointment and latest addition to the Obama Administration. The President insisted that Governor Sebelius return to Washington this evening once the Senate voted to confirm her to the Office of Secretary of Health and Human Services. She immediately flew to Washington to be sworn in and briefed at the White House.

President Barack Obama said he was "thrilled" to have Sebelius in his administration.

"We wanted to swear her in right away because we've got a lot of health challenges," he said. "We need all hands on deck. I expect her to hit the ground running. She is the right person at the right time for the job."

WHPT

Kay ( http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/person/gjHnH ) is a psycho stalker, has extreem paranoia, and blog comment turrets. But she is a nurse and she is upset because I say killing babies is wrong. Take a look below at the comments she left. She even proves herself wrong in one of the comments. Supposedly I am some other blogger that she must be stalking, paranoia? Then attempts to track me down and reports the wrong person to the DNC and FBI for "disabling my messages, which I didn't do. Will one of Kay's friends please calm her down? Or someone reading this befriend her because this woman is going crazy on me and I am gtting no responses frome the site admin.

here is her profile

Ohh and Blue Blue Eliza Marlow ( http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/blog/elizamarlow ) is her tagalong. She is only slightly less as paranoid as kay. claiming that I posted a false facebook site, whatever that means. Then proceed to impose her prejudices on me, and profile me because she has read a few blog entries that defend human life. No wonder Obama is considering reversing the conscience clause apparently these radical liberels like Kay and Blu Blue feel threatened because some people in this country beleive it is wrong to kill innocent human life.

Reader Comments

Goldman case

We are all witnessing drama of Goldman family and father of Sean Goldman who is struggling to get a custody on his son Sean. Sean was kidnaped by his “mother” and is living today with her and his step father in Brazil and that’s probably only reason (international dimension) why this case got so much media attention.

Regarding Sean Goldman I would say: YES - Of course he should be returned to his father and that should happen immediately. However this wont be easy to achieve because Sean Goldman case is loaded with heavy backfire on America thanks to American heavy support and favoring of feminism. Tens of millions of children are "kidnaped" from their fathers here in United States and that kidnaping is legalized with so called "restraining order" that woman can arrange just like that - within a finger snap. Nobody here is helping those fathers and those children to reunite but in fact our agencies continue brutal emotional and financial terror on fathers and have them and children live in emotional and psychological struggle. All of them justify that behavior with a phrase:"That's the way it works". Oh, you think so? Are you sure? Obviously nothing works “way it works”.

Today we have paradoxical situation where our President Obama have to ask President of Brazil to urge Brazil Justice Department to not to do something what American Justice Department is doing every single day and probably every single hour in their Courts. Not only Sean Goldman, but all kids should be returned to their fathers and their homes in basically all cases where woman runs away.

Fatherhood and Men's issues are only 1 segment where the problem is clearly visible and recognizable. The volume of the actual damage to the entire society caused by today's family and divorce law is far more bigger then most of the people understand at this point. My book "Family Testament" say's a lot about that and through the autopsy of modern society unveils numerous crimes, illegal and paralegal activities made by so called "family agencies" and other radical feminist groups that together creating most dangerous parasitical symbioses in our society.

I wish to Mr. Goldman and his family all the best to get Sean back as soon as possible, to the only place where he really belongs - next to his father.

I also hope that American Legislators and Justice department learn something out of this case and consider what they are going to do with tens of millions of “Sean Goldman’s” here in United States of America.

 Mick Karabegovic

Author of “Family Testament”

http://authortree.com/familytestament/

I'm not an economist, I just noticed a very ugly trend in the above documents and would like someone with a bit more economic experience to explain (please!)

What do you think?

EMK

Change in Habits -- Across the Board

It is going to take some getting used to, but I am going to have to change my habits when it comes to watching the President speak. Throughout the Bush Administration, I did not have television and rarely watched news online. After years of political activism (starting at age 13), I was so appalled at being represented on the international stage by someone who could not speak in complete sentences, that I stopped watching the President speak. I found it less painful to read snippets in the news after-the-fact.

I am now constantly amazed to hear the President speak, and find myself encouraged by what I hear, instead of disappointed or embarrassed.

The President has quite the task on his hands. The old battle lines between "Republicans" and "Democrat" are built on very old paradigms, and none of them yet seem to understand that the days are long gone when most of their assumptions about how the world works are no longer valid. The Democrats are going to be almost as hard for the President to bring to the table (over time) as the Republicans are.

I wish him luck and fortitude. As a very impatient person, I am constantly heartened to see how much patience he exhibits. Because he is going to need it.

And, as an aside, to the Comms Team: great job. As a career IT professional now working in the Enterprise / Web 2.0 space, I give you kudos for your committment to transparency -- particularly in light of the fact that government policies and systems have not kept up to date with change at all, and that your challenge is going to be bigger and harder than it really should have to be. Good luck!

BLOGGERS, PLEASE USE EXTENDED POST FEATURE

Just a reminder about the Extended Post feature when you write a blog entry. Sometimes a blog entry can take up the entire first page on Community Blogs, especially the entries that contain lots of graphics, crowding out other blog entries posted simultaneously, It is a common courtesy to put just a paragraph or two in the main part of the blog entry, and the rest in the Extended Post section.

HAWAIIAN INAUGURAL MESSAGE

Hawaiians for Obama - Barack Obama Groups

December 7, 2008

 President Elect Barack Hussein Obama
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
THE WHITE HOUSE
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C. 20500

Dear Mr. President Elect:

On behalf of all Hawaiians everywhere, we send you our warmest and most heartfelt congratulations on your election as President of the United States of America. Mere words cannot begin to convey the joy, the optimism and the intense sense of pride we collectively felt at the moment your victory was announced. Although most of us could not be with you in Grant Park on November 4th, our spirits soared as we listened to you humbly accept the honor and the responsibility of serving as the 44th President of our nation.

From the moment you stepped into the public forum, we recognized in you the true embodiment of the Spirit of Aloha. The nation remarked on your strength of character, your quiet intellect, your wisdom and your spirit of peace. The media called you unflappable. We saw in you the trait most needed to guide us and lead us as one people through difficult yet promising times, He po`i na kai uli, kai ko`o, `a`ohe hina pûkoa. (Though the sea be rough and deep, the coral rock remains standing - You are the one who remains calm in the storm).

We have for so long yearned to share with the world the Spirit of Aloha. Most of us never dreamt it would be possible. In you, however, we know that spirit was nurtured and will now serve you and our nation well as you represent us on a global stage. We are proud and we are joyful. For us, you are so much more than the President-Elect, you are Mai Ka Lani Mai (Heaven sent). You are Hawai‛i’s native son. You are our ohana.

No matter what the future holds for you, for all of us, you will always have the support of your ohana. Our spirits are entwined with your spirit, your joys are our joys, your successes are our successes and when trials come remember, with ohana, your trials too are our trials.

`A`ohe pu`u ki`eki`e ke ho`â`o `ia e pi`i

(No cliff is so tall that it cannot be scaled - No problem is insurmountable when one works hard to solve it)

Aloha and mahalo nui loa for the sacrifices you have chosen to make for all of us, Hawaiians for Obama,

Gerald W Ashton
David Apperson
Teresa Arcangel
María Julianna Auzenne
Elizabeth Balao
Victoria Bates
Gail Breakey
Teresa Burkert
Jeri Lynn Endo
Rebecca Estrada
Carolyn Golojuch
Lisa Holmes
Johnny Huckaby
Bruce Juselis
Kelvin Kinte
Carole Kuwahara
Arni Maddox
Anita Di Mauro
Samuel Mitchell
Jeff McKnight
Nedra McKnight
Daryl Muromoto
Lisa Rey
Gerry Jayte Tavares
Bonnie Walker
Aroha Walsh
Eliza Walsh
Makana Walsh
Michael Walsh

Email hawaiiansforobama@barackobama.com

Hi Joe The Plumber meet Joe The Believer (Sneak peep from my upcoming book)

After loosing the elections to Obama. John Mccain goes home with hope of having a wonderful Thanksgiving with his immediate family. Mccain flew into his hometown on his private jet but when he reached the airport, his usual guest didn’t greet him. There weren’t any balloons, the bands weren’t playing or crowds weren’t cheering. This was unusual, he didn’t even see Sarah Palin. He looked into the distance but all he could see was snow and his cold breath in the air. He looked at his secret service and even they looked shocked about what was happening. For 40 years his town greeted him every Thanksgiving, so WHAT HAPPENED.

He looked at his wife and gave her a smile then said, “Moneys been tight this year for everyone baby. Maybe the town couldn’t afford a celebration this year”

Mrs. Mccain looked at her husband with her devilish grind, “You’re probably right baby. Everyone can’t afford the things we have!”

Mccain grabbed his wife arm and helped her through the snow. He looked at his wife then said, “At least we still have our limo!”

Mccain’s limo was black and warm inside. The bar was filled with Champaign, just like years before. His secret service followed the limo in their black Yukon. Mccain could see despair in his wife’s eyes. He looked at her and said this while he rubbed her thigh, “Baby, I’m still your little P.O.W, right”

Mrs. Mccain’s wife batted her eyes then ran her finger thru Mccain’s hair and gave him a hug as he continued to rub her thigh, “You are my little soldier. Don’t worry!”

Mccain leaned back in his leather seats proud of what he just heard. But when he looked out his window it all disappeared, “What’s going on here?”, Mccain yelled.

Mrs. Mccain rushed to the window because she wanted to see. But what she saw she couldn’t believe, “Why do everyone in your town have Obama campaign signs in there yards!’

Mrs. Mccain looked at John and she immediately knew he was scarred. His eye lit up like a deer staring into your headlights, “I can’t believe it. My own people voted for Obama. What’s going on?”

Alarms kept ringing in John’s ears as he looked out the window and things slowly started to become clear. Most of the people he knew was in Obama’s below 250 thousand dollar tax bracket. While Mccain was trying to help the rich, he was forgetting about the poor. This is something that Republicans have done thousands of times before. As Mccain’s thoughts lingered as his wife started to scream.

Mrs. Mccain, “What the hell did you do? You lost to a black man. Now our lives are ruined. No one will ever remember you for being a prisoner of war. Now everyone will look at us and laugh. And our friends want come to our parties or to any of our functions because you were the first White Republican Man to loose to a Black Democrat.”

Mccain couldn’t believe what was ringing in his ears. He looked at his wife because he felt like he had to make things clear, “LooK!”, pointing, “This race wasn’t about color. I lost to a great man. A-----smart guy!”

Mrs. Mccain laughed, “You lost to a Smart Guy… You lost to a great man”, She paused, “You didn’t say that when you were running around calling him a terrorist. You didn’t say that when you made allegations that Obama was a socialist or he wasn’t fit to be President for the last 23 months”

John looked his wife dead in her eyes, “Now you listen here. I only said those things because your family was about to be taxed because of his policies, if your family loose money then I loose money. I didn’t marry you for only your body, Baby. I married you for power and your family seen me as an opportunity to increase their power.”

Mrs. Mccain was furious about what she just heard. Her eyes was red and her vision was blurried, “You little short dwarf. I know you are angry right now, so I’m going to act like I didn’t hear what you just said. But remember one thing! I made you and I’ll break you… Believe it..You had a chance to get power but you lost, I never lost and I can changed your world with a flick of the wrist”

John looked at her but he couldn’t figure out what he was seeing, “Who is this bitch”, he whispered. Like the old saying goes. Behind every strong man there is a stronger woman. Now while the Mccain’s argued the driver sat up front with his own ideas. He turned on his bullhorn so everyone outside could hear. Young kids threw snowballs as the limo riding by. An old lady with a walker stood on the sidewalk and held her middle finger up high. Other yelled, “Mccain’s a Liar!” loud and clear. Even the secret service trailed and started to cheer. The driver kept peeping from his ringside seats, hoping that the Mccains will continue to tickle his ears. When he notice nothing was happening he took a sudden turn. He knew where he could go and Mccain would burn. From uptown to downtown brick homes turned into projects then the silence finally cleared. The driver heard John whisper something in Mrs. Mccain’s ear, “I think we are in the ghetto. Be quiet. Maybe they want see us.”

What I would do with this website…

MyBo wasn’t more than a tiny seed when I began blogging here over a year ago. I’m still reeling from the realization that we have come this far, but much remains to be done and President-elect Obama is going to need all the help he can get. So in the spirit of cooperation, here are my suggestions for what could be done with this website.

The campaign issued a statement last week saying the website will live on but I feel they may have underestimated its power and potential. It seems they are focusing entirely on this website as a tool to make “real-world connections”. There can be no doubt that these tools and the “on the ground” campaigning effort that were possible through the organization of this website, is the main reason why Obama will soon swear the oath of office. But I believe there’s potential for more than just community organizing in this website.

There are countless sites on the Internet these days, offering blogs and other type of personalized pages, fueling people’s inherent need to express themselves and connect with others. This has evolved organically over the past few years and, speaking as someone with great interest in human psychology, it is a truly fascinating process. As someone commented to me recently; soon we’ll probably be assigned an e-mail address and a Facebook page at birth!

We use these tools to make ourselves a part of the ever growing community of humans, allowing strangers to access our thoughts and hopes, while at the same time keeping it all at a safe distance, keeping our physical selves so to speak, apart from each other. It gives us a chance to declare ourselves to the world, take a stand and make ourselves heard, while still limiting access to that which is most private.

I can’t even imagine where this process will end but I’m excited to be a part of it. I also think it’s an unprecedented opportunity for President-elect Obama to put his money where his mouth is (pardon the blunt expression) and make his Presidency as open and flexible as he has declared he would. For what is more open and flexible than the Internet?

Since I’m not a US citizen, the tools for the community work this site has offered, is of no interest to me, as impressive as they are. My suggestions here are entirely selfish in origin and based on the notion that the United States of America is not just another country among many, but rather holds a unique place in human evolution. The US represents the merging of ideas, hopes and dreams, not just of its own citizens, but of the world. This does not mean, as many republicans seem to think, that we all want to move there. I have no desire to become a US citizen; I’m perfectly happy where I am. But I would like to live in a world that’s safer and more prosperous and I firmly believe the United States of America is the only place where the potential seed for such a future can have a chance to grow.

Structuring a website to cater to the needs of a President facing perhaps the greatest crisis in human existence, is definitely a monumental challenge and what I offer here are only a few humble suggestions and keeping in mind I have no actual technical experience in this matter. I’m also fully aware of the initial cost of building a website like this, but I firmly believe it will pay off in the long run.

A City Howls - An Explanation of Our Hope

There was five of us sitting in a room. The television showed one news channel, while the computer streamed live feed from another. We had all been watching for quite a while. We had all been waiting a lot longer.

When both channels went silent, we all put own our drinks, our food, and stared. At the same moment, both channels predicted, in a peaceful, soft way, that Barack Obama will win the presidency.

We had champagne in the kitchen, waiting, hoping, to be opened. In less than twenty seconds, the bottle was emptied. No one sat. Other apartments emptied and came into ours. All doors were opened. None were locked. The hallway was filled with hugs from friends, and strangers.. neighbors, family, and guests.

On the New York City streets Tuesday night, the gatherings of people celebrating were less than difficult to find. Most streets were occupied by fast-walking, smiling New Yorkers, shouting and cheering across the streets to one another. Other areas, like Union Square, or St Marks and 2nd Ave, was a different world. Cars pulled over, blasting music... swarms of people engulfing the entire park under a giant american flag, swallowing up the ever-flowing masses of people. It was, for many people, the birth of a new country within us.

This was not an ordinary election. This was not just a process; this was a defining moment for millions of Americans. It was a defining moment for everybody.

Obama supporters have been continuously called frontrunners, trend followers, disillusioned. Let the author express why so many support Obama. We don't think he will save the world. We don't expect him to be successful in every single thing he says he will do. We do, however, believe in what he stands for. He represents a different era of thinking. The commanding generation is slowly becoming our own. We are a molten nation. We are not built of bricks. We don't align and assemble ourselves and remain immobile after we've been placed. We flow. Barack Obama represents a chance for America to pick itself up. He is not perfect. McCain is not the devil, either. We see in Obama everything we all have been feeling. We all want the best for this country. We are tired of how things have been going. We want change. Not change for change's sake. We are not 'blinded by the thirst for change" and simply voting Obama because he seems different and is telegenic. It's much more than that. We see a tomorrow so different and new that we can barely comprehend just how far we (not merely Obama) actually have the power to take this country. It's time to stop attempting to fix a speeding train. We need a new direction. We need to stop, and move forward in a completely fresh way.

The streets Tuesday night echoed and howled. Cheers from blocks, miles away, roared down the charged streets. Cheers from buildings, dorms, apartments, passing cars... the honking of horns... the thousands of people in different gatherings across the city (and the country)... the city howled. The city howled for hope and for optimism.

To be able to walk down the streets of New York, the chilling yet inspiring and beautiful howls filling your ears, and high five strangers, hug people you've never met, cheer along with so many different types of people, people of different ages, sexual orientations, ethnicities, beliefs, and cultures... it's something that will slowly be realized as one of the most significant turning points in our country's history.

There is no way of knowing what tomorrow will bring. It's the terrible beauty of being human. I will leave the reader with this... no presidential election has been like this in quite some time... and if you turn on any channel, or were lucky enough to be apart of the celebrations Tuesday night, you will see that these next four years will be four of the most important years to the current and future generations of Americans.
