I was pretty surprised the way Obama moved among the world leaders of today. When I saw the tv shots (including Berlin) I was wandering: how does he do it? The way he act was like as if he does it every day. Unbelievable. He really has a lot of talent. So relaxed.
Fascinating man.
Sensationalism from media reports tends to emphasize atrocities and acts of brutality and militarism. Daily acts of compassion and kindness are often eclipsed by these accounts. Notwithstanding this development, the fact of the matter still remain; people are tired of war, atrocities, murder, suicide, hatred, division, dichotomy, discrimination, egocentrism and are very desperate for love, affection, and sympathy.
Our societies are often too saturated with negative reports and the dire consequences are very conspicuous in the unfortunate repercussions our children faces, at school, in the house and within the neighborhood. There is hardly any media report in contemporary society that ugly news such as a case of murder, war, bombing, mutilation, suicide and other diabolically motivated actions does not make headlines or breaking news.
The people of America specifically and the world at large are fed up with this kind of trend, that does not in any way manifest our residual potential act of humanity. However, we are now being presented by a unique gift and opportunity to begin to fight these negativism starting with the anticipated Commander-In- Chief of the United States of America, if only the people’s choice and wish is allowed to stand.
John McCain et al believe that, for any individual to be compassionate, such a fellow is weak, coward and incapable of leading! What a total misconception of the meaning and power of compassion. Again, I am not surprised by his lack of understanding and the insatiable quest for war; may be his Vietnam experience has clouded his humane judgment.
Obama personified and epitomizes compassion, love, respect and humanity without in any way compromising the significance of national security and protection of every Americans at home and in abroad.
Right from the start, Obama opposed the war in Iraq and considered it to be an unjust war with dire consequences if pursued. Behold, the continuous unfolding events in Iraq, complement his judgment and conviction. How has the media reported this development and the position of Obama? Of course not with any kind of complement, fanfare or breaking news caption. Again, such a message does not make breaking news caption because, we have become too engrossed with war, atrocities and other negativity surrounding us to a very great extent, we are gradually loosing our humanity.
Given Obama’s track record, it is without logical doubt that, he is more than any of the remaining presidential contenders the most qualified to lead, renew, renovate and change the fundamental mindset copied from the apparent necessity of our time and propagated by the media. I am talking about the quest for unnecessary wars and inhumanity as a means of showing that we are stronger than our enemies of opponent.
We must not allow this unique opportunity to slip away, on the contrary, it is indeed our responsibility to also become an agent for change just like Obama and host of other well meaning people of the world, by actively supporting him and his ideology of making the world a peaceful place to live in.
Furthermore, he will be in the best position to convince the world leader that America is ready to champion the fight against terrorism, hunger, diseases and proliferation of nuclear arms, but in a humane and essentially diplomatic and compassionate way, that will absolutely resonate and appeal to their conscience, emotion and above all humanity.
Retrospectively, imagine the outpouring of compassion and sincere sympathy in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina; People of all races came together for a common goal, to reassure the people of the Gulf area of the United States of America that “we are here to help, empathize and rebuild the area with you”. In the same line of action, one could easily rephrase the sentiments expressed by those who though were not affected directly in a simple way: “behold the people of the Gulf area, your sorrow is ours and your joy is ours too”.
In order for this country to lead again, by conviction and compassionate might, we have to let go of so many things and ideas that have ensnared us into believing that being compassionate is tantamount to weakness.
We must let go of hatred
We must let go of deception
We must let go of negativism
We must let go of war
We must let go of ideologically diabolic method of campaigning
We must let go of the pull him down syndrome (seeing nothing good in others)
We must let go of division
We must let go of racism
We must let go of politics of bitterness and evil genius
In its place;
We must accept love, peace and mutual understanding
We must accept to help one another
We must accept to work towards glorifying the essence of humanity
We must accept the politics of accountability, honesty and factualism
I believe Obama will make a great president for this country and he shall bring about the much needed excitement, support, movement, drive, compassion, patriotism, nationalism and the feel good again sentiments into the politics of the USA, finally culminating in a better position country that shall lead the world in fairness, diplomacy, honesty, sincerity and love.
Goodbye war in Iraq and elsewhere.
God bless Obama
