Hundreds of thousands of Ohioans might have watched Barack's nomination acceptance speech on Thursday night, but right now all eyes are glued to the TV for the OSU home opener football game. It's halftime and Ohio State leads Youngstown State 26 - 0.
But that doesn't mean the campaign action has stopped: our student volunteers were registering people at the pre-game festivities, and they'll be registering people all throughout the day, as thousands come in and out of the Shoe. Click here for details on My.BarackObama.com. It's all due to our fantastic student campaign force.
Football and politics may seem to have little in common, but according to sources even Coach Jim Tressel knows about "the fierce urgency of now."
Be a part of that urgency and sign up to volunteer on your campus now.
Go Buckeyes! (meaning ALL Ohioans, of course...)
Tonight, Barack Obama will make history and deliver his nomination acceptance speech in front of more than 70,000 people in Denver.
We've got over 300 watch parties planned across the state. Find a watch party in your area on the map below, or click HERE to search using your zip code.
Last night Senator Hillary Clinton made a historic speech that paid tribute to all those who had struggled to make change before her, and then unequivocally threw her hat in the ring for Barack and his own movement for change.
Hillary clearly outlined the immediate connection between the issues she stands for, and the direction Barack will take the country in. It was a powerful moment of true unity in the party, and with Hillary undeniably on the team, the campaign will now move full steam ahead.
And her delegates from Ohio are following her lead, throwing their support behind our candidate. This article from the Cincinnati Enquirer profiles former Hillary supporters making the transition:
Among the Ohioans, there seem to be fewer Clinton delegates covering their hats, shirts and blouses with Hillary buttons than you see in some other delegations from states won by Clinton.Alta Beasley, a 2nd Congressional District delegate from Georgetown in Brown County, is a pledged Clinton delegate - although the Clinton delegates expect that this morning they will be asked to sign forms releasing them from their pledge. Beasley was - and is - an enthusiastic Clinton supporter, but she said she will now throw herself into the job of electing Obama..."It's time to move on."

The big day is finally here, and today Obama supporters all across the country will gather together to watch the results from the Iowa caucus roll in.
Join us tonight at 6:30, at one of our nine caucus watching parties in Nevada, to enjoy food and drinks with other Obama supporters. This is going to be a historic night on the road to the White House, and we want to make sure that everyone who can-- makes it to a party.
You can find the location of the nearest Iowa Caucus Watch party and RSVP here.
Over the last 9 months, our campaign in Nevada has grown into the largest grassroots organization in the state. Our 11 field offices are more than double the closest campaign, and our work in every precinct in the state is going to ensure that we build a framework for victory for the January 19th Nevada caucuses.
Tonight is going to be a great opportunity to learn from Iowa and see firsthand how a caucus is organized. There will be dozens of cameras streaming live from caucus locations, and our campaign will also be live blogging results and other unique stories. Tonight, history is going to be made, and we want you to be there with us.
Barack has been criss-crossing Iowa for the last several weeks and his work has helped us to move ahead in many of the most important polls, including the final, and typically most accurate, DesMoines Register Poll.
Barack has also given a final appeal to undecided caucus goers in Iowa:
We’re fired up from the great work going on in Iowa and we hope you can join us for the Iowa Caucus Watch party nearest you.
It’s going to be a great night and all eyes will be on Iowa. But on January 19th, Nevada will be in the spotlight as we hold our caucuses. Get involved now and help build our movement for change.
