As it turns out my father realy was Arrested in California By United States Marshalls and Los Angeles Sheriffs Department, He is charged with a crime that took place in Arizona in 1987.
I just wish the Long Beach Police department and the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Office would have been honest at first when we called them, He was arrested under another name but
they did have his real name and I know this for a fact since he was listed in The Associated Press, and websites in Arizona and California as early as Thursday 8/20/09, But yet the authorities
did not even release this information to his Immediate Family, Go Figure.

Richard Earl Rodgers was kidnapped by Two Men identifying themselves as Sheriffs Officers was taken at approximately 10:00 am Pacific Time Thursday Morning from an Apartment Complex In Long Beach California.

My father is now confined to an Electric Wheel Chair. I cantacted the Los Angeles Divison of the Federal Bureau of Investigation at approximately 1:00 am today 8/25/09 asking for their assistance since the Long Beach Police Department after all day on the phone with them between myself and my two sisters we were finally able to get the Missing Persons Department to take a Report we were told by Long Beach however that they could not investigate until tomorrow or Wednesday. So I called first the FBI office in Atlanta Ga since the office in Columbus Georgia had an answering machine that directed me to Atlanta. The Lady agent in Atlanta was rude an arrogant and stated to me that The FBI could not do anything unless Long Beach California police department contacted them. So like I said I could not believe an organization of Law Enforcement that is Paid by Taxpayer Dollars from the American taxpayers would be so Arrogent and Uncaring, I researched on the web the FBI for Long Beach California and was directed to Los Angeles Division of the FBI.
The Female Agent at Los Angeles California was very caring and understanding when I explained my situation to her. Then she stopped me and told me to hold on a Second. You see My father had just called the Los Angeles FBI office 10 minutes earlier so that would have been Just Before 10:00pm Pacific Time last night since Georgia is on Eastern Time and stated the her that he had Escaped from his kidnappers and was in the Downtown Los Angeles California area. So if anyone sees a man in the Los Angeles California or Long Beach California matching the description and photo below please contact Missing Persons Division of The Long Beach Police Department, Detectives Johnson or Turner at 562-570-8810,562-570-1446 or562-570-7260, Your Local Police Department or 911.

He is a White Male 82 Years of age, Approximately 6' 2" Confined to a Wheel Chair, But he may be limping or struggling to walk if his wheel chair is not available. If he has his wheel chair it has a Green Bottom Area and he will have a Black backpack attached to it. He usually wears a Basecap with a Flag in the background and an Eagle in the foreground on the front of the Baseball cap. He has a Scar on his Nose from surgery.

Distinguished Veteran, Frank Kucinich, Brother of Congressman, Passes Away

The distinguished veteran, Frank Kucinich, beloved brother of Congressman Dennis Kucinich, died suddenly yesterday, June 30, at the Ohio Veterans Home, where had been a resident for many years. He was 60 years old.
Frank Kucinich, Jr. was a United States Marine Corps combat veteran of The Vietnam War, completing his service as a lance corporal. After his military service, he began a lifelong commitment to fellow veterans, assisting many local veterans organizations in their activities.
Through his military service, he made many friends and inspired those with whom he served. He was recently nominated to the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame.
This past week he accompanied his brother, Dennis, to a reception at the White House where he met President Obama and Vice President Biden.
"Thank you for serving," the President said to Frank, "I'm proud of you."
"Frank told me that was one of the proudest moments of his life," Dennis Kucinich said. "He had a great love of country, which informed every moment of his life. His patriotism was an inspiration to everyone in our family and to everyone he met."
That was the second time that Frank saw President Obama up close. Frank also attended the President’s Inauguration in January as a guest of his brother Dennis.
Frank was the beloved brother of Dennis, Gary, Theresa, Larry, the late Perry and the late Beth Ann who passed away in December of 2007 and November of 2008, respectively.
The Kucinich family will receive friends at the Golubski Funeral Home, East 65th and Fullerton Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, on Sunday July 5th between 4 PM and 9 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 AM on Monday, July 6th at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, E. 65th and Forman Avenue. Military honors and interment at Calvary Cemetery will proceed the Mass.

I read this too today, it's about a 93 year-old man, who turns out is a WWII Veteran. He froze to death in his home after the utility company ( Bay City Electric Light & Power ) put some kind of limit switch on his home. His front door still had the notice from the electric company. He owed quite alot in heating bills. But the neighbor who found him said the money was clipped to the bill in the kitchen. His name was Marvin E. Schur. He was a widower and had no children.
The walls were full of ice in his home.

There is also this Flint woman who got her power cut off by Consumers Energy (CMS Energy Corp) because she owed them a penny.

Treat people as people, not dollars and wallets. These corporations get subsidies all the time. The problem is our government gives money to the corporations and States and entrusts them to do the right thing. For whatever reason, the government seems to have a problem giving the money or assistance direct to the people or funding programs where people in these communities can help their neighbors.
I've been outraged by lack of necessary physical and mental veteran health care for troops returning home. Agent Orange is one issue. But treatment for PTSD has also been denied in the past. Am not certain if approval for PTSD treatment varies by state since I do know EMDR, a treatment approved for treatment of PTSD for veterans, is accepted. Apparently not everywhere though. Locally, I recently saw a newscast where Harrisburg area veterans were unable to receive treatment for PTSD.
I was thrilled to hear President-Elect Obama acknowledge the need for treatment for PTSD and other health benefits for veterans. I am trained to treat PTSD with and without EMDR and find it absurd that the US Military would not expect that nearly all veterans in combat (and some just being isolated and living in fear of engagement) would have PTSD.
PTSD is very treatable. I personally am a veteran of the Vietnam War era but was female and not related to any war activity. It is my experience as a survivor of abuse with very long-term PTSD issues and my experience as a psychotherapist treating PTSD that makes me so aware of this issue.

WHO IS THAT GUY BARACK OBAMA? HE IS US.We have made historic headway by together pointing our nation in the right directions. After decades, we have America focused on the issues of fundamental importance. Now, each of us acting in concert can together move our country to lead the world to the fruitfulness of moral goodness. I have no doubts about my abilities and the abilities of fellow Americans to work smart and hard to achieve these goals.Barack Obama has the visions, leadership, and integrity for us to correct and redirect our country to once again lead the world for the fruitions of good. Let's closely listen, learn, and move forward based on that which we know deep inside is good and which we can validate with our hearts. I hope that those who had but a few reasons to support Obama, look further into the other issues more deeply. I found the more I explored, studied, and listened to Obama the more I found us in agreement. The couple of issues that I did not have depth of knowledge of, quickly became obvious in need. This was unusual for me since I have always refused to be any kind of a follower, and still am not. I find Obama to be a deep thinker who is articulate and inspirational; and, of most fundamental importance, Obama makes excellent moral sense.Hopefully, our country has learned lessons from the past of mistakenly following leadership blindly, as was done with Nixon and Bush. There are leaders who are simply in it for themselves and will cater to individuals or groups in order to grab for their own benefit. Corrupt and bad leaders hide at all levels. This is especially true in city government as well as county and state government. The corrupt deals of politicians need to be exposed, and those responsible need to be weeded out in the coming local elections. Others need to be investigated by law enforcement and be prosecuted for illegal dealings; for deals they often make for their hidden personal agendas. Let’s look at the bad experiences of the past as bitter medicines, let’s eliminate the need for such bad medicine in the future. Let us use what we know is good to go forward.I believe we have chosen wisely, not by greed and not by misguided retaliatory anger. I believe this time our country has chosen with open eyes, with each of us listening and examining our choice of leadership closely, driven and validated by our hearts.I hope we can continue to make our efforts even more inclusive (in many more ways than I touch on here). Far right republicans will be stubborn to change, but we will need to include them to change if we are to succeed. Sure a few more will leave our country, but that is not the American way. No, we really don't need their false fronts of power, money, insider knowledge, or other trappings that they have taught many to 'respect?'. Let's recruit as many as we can, that's the American way, evolving and changing together as one nation. Do not be intimidated by those who use the false fronts of power and give a false sense of security in order to lead. Be extra leery of those who say or imply ‘Trust me’; those who give a sense that they somehow omnipotently know better. No longer will Americans be dazzled by phony displays of brilliance or baffled by baloney. There are government aristocrats and business leaders who still believe in the old adage of: “If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle em with bullshit”. We can embrace complexity by demanding true, fundamental, and understandable explanations. We can root out falsehoods by not accepting double speak. We as Americans know how to grow ourselves by first believing in ourselves. Don’t be a follower. Don’t be a follower of followers.However, when we find leaders who are good; a leader that thinks, speaks, and acts from their heart; one that is honest, has integrity, and leads by sincere examples; then we need to in a big way, join them, support them, and promote their causes of good. From much research, investigation, and scrutiny, I believe Barack Obama is such a person. I hope we search for and find many more who are similar, who we can add to service at all levels of government. We need to add/replace leaders in business with ones that have honesty, integrity, and show quality in leadership. We need more people in leadership roles who are moral, like Barack Obama.Remember, we are not fighting a battle, we are the artisans and sculptors of the future for ourselves and generations to come. Rarely do societies have opportunities to make such dramatic moves forward as we now have in this opportunity of today. Take pride and practice in being inclusive as we stride forward. Today was awesome. We called on approximately 90 people. Our contact rate was very high and we had a lot of positive interaction with NV voters.
We were walking the Somersett area which is much more affluent than the Sparks areas. With the exception of three people, everyone I spoke with had already voted (Nevada has early voting through Friday October 31) for Barack Obama and most had also voted for the Democratic candidate Jill Derby for congress. One guy I caught on the way out of the house; he was heading to the early vote location to vote for Obama!
Two interesting interactions that stand out today. Both involved Republicans and both were inspiring...
Former Sen. Larry Pressler (R-S.D.), who was the first Vietnam veteran to serve in the United States Senate, is the latest Republican to back Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign.
Pressler "cited the Democrat's response to the financial crisis as the primary reason for his decision."
"I just got the feeling that Obama will be able to handle this financial crisis better, and I like his financial team of [former Treasury Secretary Robert] Rubin and [former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul] Volcker better," he said. By contrast, John McCain's "handling of the financial crisis made me feel nervous."

I am a veteran of the United States Army who served eighteen months in Vietnam. I am a twenty-five year resident of Allison Park. I am a long-time Democrat, and I am a committed supporter of the Obama-Biden ticket. I offer the following in all sincerity, not to be intrusive, but to candidly express and honestly convey my considered opinion as one citizen to another.
Well, it's about 436pm Kabul time and I'm heading to the gym in about 20 minutes. After an hour of torture...excuse me Spinning...I'll come back and finish off my work around 7pm. I'll go take a shower and at 730pm I'll start calling again.
Today I'm aiming for 40 calls. Last night I actually did 27 but I wasn't logged in the entire time and when I went to update the website 3 of my callers dropped off my lists. So lesson learned...do everything online as I go along LOL. I'm not sure if my progress updated though because on my dashboard it says 24 callers but on the Make a Call section it insists I haven't called anyone. That's a tad confusing as I don't want the people I called recontacted due to a glitch.
I was a bit nervous but by the 10th call I felt pretty good about the process. Only one person said, "I'm sorry I can't talk about this," and hung up. I laughed it off and kept going. So....16 days to go....and between 25 and 40 callers a night to contact. So I should set a goal...if I aim to call 400 people I should hit a minimum of 24 people a night. That seems reasonable and definatly doable.
The numbers are bit sneaky though because I'm giving myself room in case I end up on an overnight mission. If I do extra calls I'll go about my goal and/or be covered in the event of a missed night.
I have been focusing on Vet to Vet Call and and Women calling Women in PA but I think I'm going to spread out to Latin voters in Florida and Youth and College Student Calling. My last name is blatantly spanish so I might as well make use of it. I suppose the gaelic (read:Irish) first and middle name might throw them off though LOL.
Well, off to the gym. Running around in body armour (at 5000 ft!) is no joke so I have to keep it up LOL.

My son served his country proudly, despite Bush's ultimate betrayal in sending him and his fellow soldiers to fight, and some of them to die, in a war based on greed and contrived evidence, while disregarding real threats to our country. My son toiled everyday in the heat and stiffling squallor of Sadr City, Iraq, based there at Camp War Eagle. The soldiers called it Camp Dirty Bird because of the sewage that flowed through many of the streets. From the day they rolled into Baghdad, they knew little but death, stench, and hate. Sadr City inhabitants hurled rocks, slurs, and taunts when my son went on patrols or missions; but, those were the good days. On bad days, which were most days,they endured day after day of bombings, sniper fire, and ambushes. On April 4th, when they had been there less than a week, they lost eight soldiers in a brutal ambush outside of Dirty Bird's gates. Mortar after mortar struck Camp Dirty Bird, day after day. They bravely endured it all because of their vow to serve when, where and how the president ordered them to serve.
My son and our family believe that one candidate, and only one candidate, will honor our troops and their selfless service to our country by ending a senseless war~ and by only sending them into danger when absolutely necessary to do so. That candidate is Barack Obama. An Obama presidency will follow through on the promise to provide proper care for my son and his disabled brothers and sisters from the Iraq debacle and the other wars before it. President Obama will act quickly to see that all of our troops (finally) have the equipment and armor they need to protect the troops from injuries they need not suffer, while bringing the war safely and honorably to its conclusion.
As a mother of a battered warrior from this war, I want Cindy McCain to know that SHE sent a frigidly cold shudder through MY soul's core when she dishonored our soldiers by using them as political pawns in her false attack last week on Senator Obama, based on ugly lies and invective. Shame on you, Mrs. McCain.
My fellow Vets:
Today we vets are campaigning door-to-door in Colorado to get those undecided voters to choose Barack Obama for President. Depending on the neighborhood, I know that this will be a tough challenge - not only to convince some hard-core Republicans that we have the better candidate, but for the things you might have shot at you by some of the less tactful members of the electorate.
I've heard the comments they make - that you're a traitor, that you're not really a vet, or an American. They get angry, indignant and insulting. They probably are not going to change their mind, and they're more than willing to degrade and demean you.
You have every reason to fire back at them - but don't.
The way we can win this election is to reach down and embrace the military discipline that all of us have ingrained within ourselves. The more insulting and angry they get, the more calm and reasoned we must be. Because they expect us to answer their insults in kind, if we stay calm and reasoned, THAT plants the doubt we need to change their minds.
Normally, veterans treat each other with dignity and respect, even if we have opposing political viewpoints. That's because of our shared experiences and sacrifices. Most of the citizens of this state recognize this, and will give us a moment to listen to what we have to say.
When we go door-to-door or phone bank, that opening statement of "hi, I'm with Veterans for Obama" will normally give you an edge, for a moment, with most voters in Colorado. You can take advantage of that moment by being calm and reasoned, even in the face of skepticism and anger.
THAT's the Force Multiplier we give the Obama campaign, and we need to make sure we use it every chance we get.
Like many extended American families, my family’s members represent a wide range of political opinions. My mother and her recently deceased older sister, for example, were about 180 degrees apart (with my aunt the one on the far right side of the spectrum).
My aunt’s husband of 50+ years was a career Air Force officer who retired with the rank of Colonel, rising from a humble start as an enlisted man during WWII. Their son Bob, my cousin, piloted B52 bombers in combat over Vietnam following ROTC training. And his son, following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps, also enjoyed a career in the Air Force after graduating from the Air Force Academy.
I haven’t kept in touch with my cousin over the years, so it came as a real surprise to me recently when I learned that he and other members of his family are supporting Obama in this election. This morning, I received an email from him, in which he shared some words he has written to several newspapers to counter the McCain/Hero myth. They are so striking that I felt the need to share them…

As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm going to be a father sometime next March. Due to my disability, I can no longer work, so the title of "stay-at-home dad" has been thrust upon me. My wife and I had agreed long before I became disabled that whenever we decided to have children, whichever of us was making the least would put our career on hold to stay home with the kids. Of course, at the time, I was making quite a bit more, so it was pretty much accepted and expected that it would be my wife staying home. It wasn't that I didn't want to stay home with the kids, but I guess it did feel a bit more "natural" that mom would be the one at home with the kids.
Life, as always, has many ways to throw you a curveball, and, as usual, it threw one at us. It wasn't a pleasant curveball, to be certain. I'd also said that I wanted to be able to retire early some day too. I just never intended it to be like this.
Now with the baby on the way, I've been doing what any responsible parent does with their first child - getting prepared. I've been hitting the internet to see how other stay-at-home dads handle the experience.
What I found not only was unnerving, but quite frankly, it pissed me off. It doesn't have much to do with the election, but it does have a lot to do with the cultural atmosphere of America today.

Inspirational speech for the Obama Campaign

I support Barack Obama because we are on the same righteous path to serve America without fraud. We believe that all Americans deserve the chance to live the American dream. Moreover, we both believe to fight for the legal rights of Americans that cannot speak out due to their fear of opposition or a handicap that imposes upon them an immobility to courageously stand up and fight for the American dream. Like Obama, I too will one day follow his steps as a Senator to help other Americans fulfill their American dreams. I believe change will come. It gives me great joy to stand up and support a righteous leader that believes America needs change. That is why I support Obama.
Barack, Barack, what makes a man, a man, is his prodigy. The people, on the other hand make presidents. Americans are not stupid. We are very intelligent and we know all politicians receive donations for their campaigns. The righteous candidate will win this presidency, but will have to unfold truth to the people with your utterance, and not from the voice of your opponent. State your truths about your contributions and your sources and move on with this race.
America is interested in the security of our nation and the future of our children. Our economic status is our utmost concern. We need to hear more than ever from a righteous voice the assurance the next president will balance the budget, reform the American dream, uphold the laws studied, and change. This is not a statement of hope. The righteous candidate will discern that this is what America wants and needs.
America does not care about the personal attacks, and frankly prefer that neither candidate feed lies to America. Voters that want drama will turn to sources that are shaky, and proven false, because that is what they want, and there is absolutely nothing you can do to change drama chasers.
Serious voters will make an intelligent decision and there is absolutely nothing you can say with your eloquence that will change our minds.
Obama, your record of accomplishments will help Americans make the right decision. Serious Americans will do their own research about each candidate. Some will be very impressed with your work as a Senator. You have accomplished in such a short period of time, great things. In comparison, they will study McCain’s 21 years of service to see that it was disadvantaged. If a man falls but just once, shame discredits his accomplishments. Nevertheless, the humility expressed by his actions will resurrect him to a profound glory observed by the people that favored him most.
However if a man continues to repeat his mistakes, the people will not favor him and will let him fall to destruction. In addition, neither, men or God will redeem him because he has proven by his greed and corruption that he will continue to do the people wrong.
May I remind you the privilege to serve the people was initially decreed by God’s own utterance? It was his decision to give men the privilege to rule dominions of people while he rest. Moreover, throughout history we can trace the good, the evil, and the corrupt and righteous kings. Make this what you may but remember God has a hand in the direction of all righteous leaders. So continue to make right your strong hold and share your views with the people. Stand firm and support democracy. Uphold the values of the American dream high, so the people will favor your righteousness and not the history of failed kings, senators, and presidents. May God bless your efforts to change the way Americans thinking positively, will motivate righteousness and stamp out corruption so that America can move forward and rebuild our economy, explore the beauty of her inhabitants and gifted, so that she may bring about peace, and hopefully, one day security under righteous conditions.
So when your opponent attacks you with ill remarks remember, “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” These are clear characteristics of a righteous man. You just have to listen to reason.
As Americans, we all have an obligation to perform righteously. Therefore, this letter goes out, not just to Presidential candidates and congressional representatives but, to Americans upholding self-evident truths… The laws may separate the state from the church. Even so, when it is all said and done the final decision falls upon all American men and women as one. Moreover, that one decision will be for America. Therefore, for people who chose to silence their right to vote, or imbalance the election by choosing a candidate that is less likely to win, may you be reminded that your decision will effect America and not just the actions of your choice.
The failed unrighteous presidency of George Bush is self-evidence that a silent vote can lead to corruption, economic devastation of our economy and the destruction of the American dream. Behold my brother’s keeper! Behold my father’s keeper! Behold my mother’s keeper! Behold my sister’s keeper! Behold my grandmother’s keeper! Behold my grandfather’s keeper! Behold my American brothers and sisters the actions of your choice. Your right to vote for a presidential candidate has always been allowed by God to determine whether men can rule righteously. President Kennedy’s actions remind us… Martin Luther King’s actions remind us… Abraham Lincoln’s actions remind us… of the importance to vote righteously.
It is a political race so God will only watch. So choose wisely, my American brothers and sisters your candidate. As I close this speech, may I remind you, voting to imbalance the election is not righteous and may do Americans more harm than good? Moreover, you will have to live the rest of your life knowing you voted righteously or with deceit. The burden of the presidency never has been, just between two men. The burden of the Presidency weights on all Americans, because the votes we cast will chose just one President, with the hope that he will represent just one America with righteousness. May God bless the righteous candidate to prevail so the people will take note to cast their vote for the new President of the United States of America?
