Well,hi everybody. You know,I'm from a country(Hungary),which has seen better days than these ones. And I haven't come from a wealthy family. But I was born to be optimistic till I die.And the victory of Pres Obama shows us:it's worth to be optimistic.
I was so happy to have a black president from the first moments.I love paradighma-changes,love to be different, tolerate different people. For that it's good to live in the capital(Budapest),because the little village I have come from was too small for this kinda person. When I was a little child,I'd love to live in New York,Washington e.t.c.Now I want to live here ,even if it's hard. It's my home, you know..My parents also live here.Of course, wherever I will live in my life,I mean it with my close family:my husband(from 1992)and our three children..
We in this country are the same people as you so far away.We can't really change things.Or perhaps, some day..Live our lives. And are happy about good changes-here or there.
Our country is so beautiful! You even can't imagine. And the capital-the middle of it,with the two picturesque riverbanks-is mentioned like the most beautiful capitals of Europe! You really don't believe me,do you?Of course there are a lot of things that doesn't show us in a good light, but the main thing hasn't changed. If anyone of you can come here,come-and we will show you around.
Bye for now,have a nice night,Charall
Well... Granny Gobama and I just returned from our Fall Foliage trip to Vermont. The colorful trees were spectacular and the trip was wonderful. But what made it even better was the fact that we now know for sure that all of her efforts at 85andchange.com were worth it. We were able to convince my Uncle ( Granny Gobama's son) to vote for Barack Obama! Granny Gobama was so proud... she felt if she couldn't even help convince her own son that this is the chane we need, that it would be difficult for her to convince anybody. But we did it! And here's the bonus... he's a registered FLORIDA voter!! YAY!!!!
Go Granny Gobama! Go 85andchange.com! Go Obama!!
Now is the time for us to reject the rhetoric and petty arguments about the things that make our Pagan paths unique and different. Now is the time for us to put aside the threats of voting for McCain/Palin because a candidate did not win the primary.
Now is the time to realize that as citizens, we have an obligation to the very system which allows us to vote in the first place, a civic duty to make sure that the war-mongering, economically disasterous politics of the last two terms are not allowed to continue for an other four!
We can ill-afford to chance the unlikely situation that after voting with Geroge Bush 91% of the time, that the 9% maverick ticket of McCain/Palin will suddenly change course if elected. We must make sure that Barack Obama and Joe Biden get elected for the next term, and then we must hold them to their words and promises and not let them off the hook like we have with our current administration. We must stand up as citizens and engage the politcal will that such great and idealistic men as Jefferson successfully encouraged in his own time.
Being a graphic designer by nature, I've created a logo that plays off the main "O" theme, but is something of a familiar banner under which we can rally! I used a smaller version for my picture, you can find the large version at my site, http://www.petebeckley.com
McCains 20 years of economic ideology is the cornerstone for the current crisis. He believes "the economy is fundamentally strong” 24 hrs before we are on the brink of total collapse. You talk about out of touch. I equate this to George W. Bush’s "Mission Accomplished" speech; and years later we still losing valuable lives in Iraq. Incompetence, Appeasement and more Lies. Do your home work. McCain’s public record on deregulation does not lie. Hammer the message home! RESEARCH THE KEATING FIVE SCANDAL! Be informed and inform others.
After listening to all the outcry for the last few weeks I am not convinced that the Obama/Biden ticket show ANY true support for women in politics. I was appalled that even though Hillary Clinton won HALF of the votes she was never consdered to be the VP, which would have unted this party, made all the people happy and would have made us unbeatable for the Repbulicans. Instead, the same "good OLD boy" from Washington was selected that offered no change, so excitement and further eroded any chance for a Women to earn her righful place in history. All I can say is this should a true lack of courage on the part of Obama.
If that wasn't bad enough, then I listened to the men in this party pull out all of the stops to trash and defame a women, who in her own right, should be admired and held up as an example to women in America. Horrrible things have been said, "lipstick on a pig" and all the little people laughed and poked each other (ha ha) and "Women have been set back" because of her. Until you get real, there will never be any real change. Why does one person's success take away from anothers?
What EXACTLY has Barrack Obama done in his lifelong career to advance ANY woman? Doen't you dare point to Abortion, these men didn't do anything to bring it about any more that the other party can do anything to change it. These are lies that are fousted on American women. By the way, not ALL women feel that an innocaent life is a MISTAKE OR A PUNISHMENT. Every women that has beloved children and grandchildren would challenge you on this ridiculous notiion. Prehaps TRUE legislature would be to pass a law stating that MEN should take responsibility for a change and wear condoms! GROUNDBREAKING!!!!! That's what we need to know. Because if women are only going to get another round of the same old politics, it may be time to MAKE A TRUE CHANGE. I, for one, have already decided to dump this slow boat to nowhere and get on the wagon leading to the stars. Your going to find more and more women feel the same. If you trash one women, you have trashed us all. I for one, won't help advance a man that hasn't even joined this century. Hillary was right about Obams and the only way we can protect ourselves is to Vote McCain/Palin.
