Ojamas will be rolling in over the next few days, and we’re going to stick to our policy of first-in, first-out. A call from the warehouse brought disappointing news that they haven’t produced enough to fill our entire backlog by election day. The good news is that if you’ve been waiting a long time, you’ll be the first to get them and it will be in time for election day. The other good news is that everyone who has ordered already received the introductory price. There are still a few more days before the increase to $34.99 goes into effect (11/01). Place your order now.
The factory confirms they'll be finished in time for us to deliver by election day. Here's the latest picture. The design on the pocket doesn't align with the rest of the garment in this sample. We're fixing that now, but we wanted to let you see that we're making good progress. Be sure to get your order in before next Wednesday if you want to receive Ojamas by election day.

Today: Emailed and called a new contact about finding housing for MoveOn trainees coming to Chicago later this month. Invited three people to join mybarackobama.com. Edited and uploaded photos from Tuesday's calling party event for attendees to see.
Well, I'm new here and a little bit of a late-starter. I liked Obama when I first started hearing about him 3-4 years ago. While I'll admit that my first choice had been Edwards (mainly because of his stance against lobbyists), I had no trouble switching when Edwards dropped out, and I am THRILLED that Obama has taken the torch against K Street and is RUNNING with it. I have always believed that until we stop selling Congressional votes for cash, nothing will change. Hope has become reality already! Today I also finally donated what little I could afford to the campaign (at least for now), and I've volunteered for my first event coming up next weekend. Not only to I want him to win, but I want Virginia to go Blue this year--and we're so close.
Speaking of which...the only gripes I've had today were with the store online here. First of all, why no Virginia for Obama t-shirts? As I said, Virginia's very possibly going to go Blue for the first time since the 1960s. Second, so much of what I wanted (particularly women's t-shirts) is back-ordered, with no information on when there will be more, etc. It's a great thing to see things are selling well, but they should offer some reassurance that more is coming. These are minor gripes because overall I'm very impressed with this site and the organization involved. I'm excited about the posibilities.
Scott Sakamoto of Ronin Studios has set up a site:
This site was created in response to the general shortage and long waits times for Obama SWAG. This website was established by other local Obama supporters who are trying to offer an opportunity for the general public to print their own SWAG.
The swag is specifically for Oregon and does not include material for other states for further info check out the explanations on the site.
The url of the site is http://oregon4obamaswag.googlepages.com/

Lots of free Obama stuff - 3 types of shirts, buttons, banners, hats. The catch? They only fit virtual people in Second Life. I just put this free collection up on slexchange, which is like Second Life's ebay.
