Inside the Obama White House with Brian Williams to air on NBC Special

NBC News has special access to the White House and has strategically placed dozens of camera crews all over the White House. This is all an attempt to get a closer look of the daily occurences of the Obama administration. I don’t ever recall any other White House administration that allowed this. Only Brian Williams and his crew gets to go in and see what all the fuss is about. There have been some controversy over the White House Reality Show. If you really think about it, who wants a camera in their face from 5 am in the morning until you are done for the day. I think its a publicity stunt to show that Obama is getting stuff done. His promises on transparency in government has been taken a little too far. We don’t want to see your acting skills in front of the camera. We want to know what you are doing and have a say in what decisions are to be made on the topic. That was one of the premises you ran your campaign on. No more 1500 page documents sent out and approved 3 hours before voting. Stuff like that. I don’t want to see a reality show about the White House morning briefs, and what they eat for breakfast. This is either a tribute to the first Black President of the United States, or the most boring news special ever made. It’s going to be the White House version of The Office. From what I know about the special, there are several aides on camera typing at their desks, answering phone calls and doing general office work. Then there are interviews with certain people that are going to make everything sound nice and cheery, but there won’t be any dry office humor. I say watch at your own risk. The darn thing is a waste of time, but if you don’t have anything to do, it airs June 2, and the 3rd.

Special Powers to the President.

Hello friends,

I dont know if anyone will reead this but i just needed a place to rant about how i feel and what better place than here?? Anyways, lately ive been frustated with the way things are going with our president.....not because of him but because of the people around him A.K.A The senate, congress, the different houses, etc.

Obama has been trying to pass a bill that will help the country jumo start the economy and at the same time start some programs that will help people around the country and his ideas just get trashes and discarded by all these political bodies that i feel are just there to prevent him from effectively working. EVEN DEMOCRATS ARE SLOWING THE PROCESS.....so the poor bill needs to get approved by all these people who are just there wasting time and doing nothing.

I belive we should have an special election that gives President Obama Special powers to pass bills and laws and make programs without the need to pass them by congress (and thus all those jealous republicans who are just here to ruin our lives.....no offence)

Its the only way to really help him move forward with his plans to save our nation.

Special Education transition to college

I live in California. Some of you, especially those experiencing wicked weather, think I am lucky. In deed, I love the weather, but our state is in shambles. Before we got into the red (deep red), I was concerned about the disconnect between K-12 Special Education and post high school education, like community colleges and universities. Maybe if our state was not in peril, words could turn into actions and actions could turn into success. Since that is not the case, I have only you to listen to my concerns and hope we can diaglogue about ways to improve Special Education outcomes. I work in the DSPS (Disabled Students Programs and Services) office at a local community college. I have worked there for ten years and love every minute of it. Over the last ten years, I have seen increasingly underprepared students enter college without a clue as to the demands they are about to face. Many were not aware that the courses they took in high school were not "regular ed" classes. They are shocked time and again when their college placement testing shows they are not eligible for our lowest remedial English courses, as well as math, but math is a whole other can of worms. Several years ago California instituted a high school exit exam, one part English, the other math. Special education cohorts objected and were give a reprieve, but only until the graduating class of 2006 or 2007. If they did not pass both exams, they would not get a diploma, only a "certficate of completion". When I started meeting the first group of students required to pass these tests, I was pleasantly surprised to see that more of them were eligible for our remedial classes. I believe this is a result of teachers working harder to prepare the students for these exams, which are tied to monies and politics. Unfortunately, this success has slowed down to about the same level as I saw it a few years ago. In an ideal school, state, and economy, we would have additional resources to help our students at the elementary school level so that they are used to working harder. Working harder is the common theme in mild/moderate disabilities and their likelihood of "success". I could go on and on, but would love to hear from you and your ideas.

I Would Like To See These Questions Asked.

I would love to have these questions asked, and investigated by Senator Obama's staff.

1. Did Hillary Clinton really do all of the things claimed in the Video on You Tube Named Hillary Clinton: The Video She Doesn't Want You To See ? If so there is several reasons there why she should not be elected.

2. Why is she being allowed to get away with her flip flop on Illegal Aliens getting drivers license?

3. Why is she getting past her voting to allow Bush to use force in Iraq?

4. Why is Clinton allowed to press the Michigan, and Florida deligates to be seated? Senator Obama did no campaigning in either state, and wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan.

5. How is it fair states who didn't follow the rules even get a chance to vote again? Why does the Clinton Mofia get to strong arm people like this?
