Thus far, the campaign events were about the developments leading to the victory of the Democratic candidate in a historic manner.
It is time to conclude the interesting, dramatic, challenging and the most exciting Presidential race with the honorable acknowledgements.
As stated in the earlier blog posts, my contribution to the Obama candidacy privately acknowledged throughout the campaign by President-elect Barack Obama.
President-elect Barack Obama never failed to express gratitude and deep appreciation of the hard work since my involvement in the campaign.
I received the genuine acknowledgment promptly after every primary race and the general election.
Here are the excerpts of some communication held following important moments of the campaign: Prior to the acceptance of Democratic Nomination:

Join Barack on Election Night Padmini –
I want you to be there with me on Election Night when the results come in.
We’re planning a big event that will include tens of thousands of supporters in Grant Park in downtown Chicago.
We’re saving some of the best seats in the house for 5 people who have given to the campaign before — and who decide to make a donation one last time before Sunday at midnight.
You can bring a guest, and we’ll fly you in and put you up in a hotel for the night. You’ll go backstage at the big event and — no matter what happens — you’ll have a front row seat to history as we celebrate the supporters who got us over the finish line. Any donation counts — whatever you can afford. Show your support at this crucial time with a donation of $250 or more, and you could join me on Election Night:
https://donate.barackobama.com/frontrow
This movement for change has been a testament to the power of ordinary Americans coming together to achieve extraordinary things.
I look forward to having you there on Election Night.
Thank you,
Barack

Dear Senator Obama,
I am honored and delighted to attend the historic night on November 4, 2008.
I predicted this night in my letter to Amy Goodman of Democracynow.org in mid-January 2008.
Some might say audacious while others, probably presumptuous!
I have absolutely no qualms about your victory on November 4, night.
Hope, you remember that I posted the blog "The Winner" on February 2, 2008 and took lot of heat from the critics during the Primary election.
However, this time I do not wish to spoil the surprise for many feeling nervous about the outcome.
Let me be the first one to congratulate you on your victory as the 44th President of the United States.
My heartfelt Congratulations to you ahead of time!
Best Wishes,
Padmini Arhant

On the Historic Night, November 4, 2008 - As the results poured in, I received the following email from our President-elect Barack Obama:
Sent: Tuesday, November 4, 2008 8:17:45 PM
Subject: How this happened
Padmini –
I’m about to head to Grant Park to talk to everyone gathered there, but I wanted to write to you first.
We just made history. And I don’t want you to forget how we did it.
You made history every single day during this campaign — every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it’s time for change.
I want to thank all of you who gave your time, talent, and passion to this campaign.
We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I’ll be in touch soon about what comes next.
But I want to be very clear about one thing…
All of this happened because of you.
—————————————-
Finally, I am profoundly thankful to President-elect Barack Obama for his kindness, understanding and greatness demonstrated throughout his communication with me.
It is just unfortunate that he could not express his true sentiments in public as stated in earlier blog posts.
It is truly an honor to be part of history.
Thank you.
The historic election is over and the new administration is in the process of recruiting members for key positions.
It is still important to reflect on the role of media and news organization in this electoral process.
Extreme media bias towards one candidate and overwhelmingly condescending against another caused a great deal of frustration, anger and disappointment among the electorate.
The anti-media sentiments reverberated all over the cyberspace.
Media hype was intense during the Democratic Primary election.
Since I was vigorously involved during that time, I have great memories that will remain part of me for a long time.
There were several incidents but some of them have a greater impact on individuals, more severely than others do.
Mainly due to the smear tactics and negative attacks hurled on people like me entering the political campaign for the first time as surrogates, representatives or grass root supporters.
One particular incident is worth the spotlight because it is about the media personalities conducting themselves as the world authority in all matter especially the political race such as the Presidential election.
Ironically, in this Presidential election they were repeatedly wrong with both Democratic and Republican nominees.
Why?
They followed the conventional wisdom and failed to see or accept new possibilities and developments.
Only to steer course once the tide turned in a different direction sweeping anything and everything on the way.
The spotlight is precisely on MSNBC.
The network that took lot of heat from the public and rightfully so, for being excessively in favor of Obama Campaign in an unprecedented appeasement of the candidate then, Senator Barack Obama.
It is noteworthy that MSNBC initially rejected the candidate Senator Barack Obama against their preferred candidate, Senator Hillary Clinton.
Likewise, the venerable New York Times endorsed Senator Hillary Clinton way back on January 25, 2008 as the “IDEAL COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF.” and
Emphasizing that President-elect Barack Obama was not qualified in that respect,
Quoted by the recent Nobel Laureate Paul Krugman through national and international telecast on CNN.
I was devastated to note the hasty decision by a leading and the most respectable news organization such as New York Times.
Immediately, I made my first and only contact with the cable media outlet, Free Speech and World Link Television expressing my emotion on the endorsement.
Here is extract of the email titled The Moment of Truth sent to Amy Goodman of Free Speech Television on January 25, 2008, 12.22P.M PST , in that context:
“This morning the endorsement by New York Times is another way of indicating that Senator Clinton will be the future President of the United States.
Senator Clinton made many overtures in her recent T.V talk show appearances that I should go away and abandon the Obama campaign to suppress the Iraq war issue finally.
The impression I have is,
If Senator Obama becomes the nominee, there is absolutely no turning back for him as he would win the general election.”
———————————————-
In reality, what exactly happened prior to our President-elect Barack Obama establishing himself as a formidable candidate in the election is attention worthy.
First, my personal experience with MSNBC goes back to the days when the incumbent administration laid out the strategy to sell the unpopular Iraq war to the public and the United Nations.
I happened to be one of the unfortunate victims of mandatory public opinion survey superficially conducted by the administration to gain public support for the illegal invasion of Iraq.
This matter verified and confirmed truthful by the Institute for Public Policy, a non-profit organization, following the claim in my blog post during the Democratic Primary election.
With the relentless pro-Iraq war rally from networks such as MSNBC and FOX, the administration successfully launched their mission.
Although, there were other major networks equally involved in drumming their support for the Iraq war…
MSNBC displayed no qualms in abruptly eliminating dissent like the popular and visibly democratic, none other than their own talk show host, Mr. Phil Donahue.
My first unpleasant experience with MSNBC is regarding the anti-Iraq war message conveyed to the administration in response to the mandatory survey.
In my statement, I clearly emphasized the blunder by the administration on their commitment to wage war against Iraq and,
The consequences ensuing in terms of loss of lives, economic costs, national reputation and everything else that followed the disastrous war.
The born again liberal MSNBC demonized and targeted me as anti-patriotic with spam mail flooding my Inbox.
Further, the obscene materials via virus corrupted my database, forcing me to abandon the hard disk for a new one.
It was nothing short of homegrown terrorism for my anti-war position.
It is important to cite the article by Victor Davis Hanson, A senior fellow at the Hoover Institution,
Ref. San Jose Mercury News, November 13, 2008.
The article quotes “Most polls reveal that American voters believed that their media was biased in favor of Obama.
The popular journalist Chris Matthews even bragged that it was his job responsibility to see that Obama succeeds.” ———————————————————————-
Chris Matthews brags about his support to Obama during the election.
It might be the case but the evidence is against such claim.
Chris Matthews threw his weight not until the candidate Barack Obama proven the Democratic nominee against all odds.
Mr. Chris Matthews clearly knows about what this is.
During the fiercely battled Democratic Primary election, Nevada Primary & Caucus held on Saturday, January 19, 2008.
I published the following blog post that morning 4.19 am EST, my time 1.19am PST causing fury and anger among the Clinton campaign and their surrogates in the media, especially Chris Matthews of MSNBC.

Electability Factor By "Voice behind the movement" - Jan 19th, 2008 at 4:19 am EST
Comments | Mail to a Friend | Report Objectionable Content Electability Factor:
The voters should focus on the electability factor when casting the vote in the primaries for their respective candidates.
The candidate, who can eventually lead the Democratic Party to victory in the general election in November 2008, will be the ideal nominee.
There will be various issues discussed and debated between the two parties during the general election.
Given the track record of the Republican Party in the general election, the Democratic Party would be well positioned with a candidate voting against the Iraq war.
Senator Barack Obama had consistently opposed the Iraq war.
He voted for the funding of the Iraq war to protect the interest and security of our brave young men and women in harm’s way and enable Iraq stabilize as a sovereign nation ultimately leading to the withdrawal of our troops.
The illegitimate Iraq war has been a major catastrophe for our national economy, security, credibility to deal with International crisis, and our image as the leader of the new world.
The Republican Party nominee voting for the Iraq war could be challenged and held accountable by the Democratic Party nominee voting against the war.
The victory strategy for the Democratic Party in the general election should be on the premise of Iraq war to honor the sacrifice by brave young men and women who lost their lives and all those currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The victory for Democratic Party would then truly represent the ‘real change’ against the ’status quo’ or the establishment.

OBAMA SUPPORTER
————————————————————
To emphasize again, the blog post created enormous outrage with the Clinton campaign bitterly complaining about my attempt to influence the election negatively on that date.
As usual, mainstream media lend support to the power and establishment expresses their reaction in a manner to warn a private citizen like myself to stay off the campaign trail.
Like the BET CEO, Mr. Robert Thompson a close Clinton surrogate, with his exclusive appearance on–
The Situation Room, hosted by Mr. Wolf Blitzer, on CNN specifically advised me by referring to me as,
The “woman of color” to cease my campaigning for the candidate then, Senator Barack Obama.
The Nevada Primary was won by Senator Hillary Clinton.
President-elect Barack Obama had the caucus victory.
The MSNBC coverage on Saturday, January 19, 2008, the day Nevada results was declared, is evidence to the outburst of a media commentator against a private citizen.
Chris Matthews, in particular admonished me directly by wagging his finger and in uttermost condemnation of my interference in the Presidential election.
He said, “This is not a horse race for betting. It is a serious Presidential race.
Individuals with no knowledge or experience should stay out of political campaigns.”
It was a clear indication that individuals like me have no place in politics or public forum.
The sentiment was shared by another MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell who initially tried to remain objective during the discussion with Clinton aid about that particular blog post that morning.
However, she later on made a bizarre remark about a possible substance abuse by me because of my daring attempts to envision a future with an African American Presidency.
Only, if Andrea Mitchell would have played a similar role in critiquing her spouse and the ex-Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan,
Equally responsible for neglecting the warnings of the economic turmoil that nearly brought the domestic and international financial markets on the brink of collapse,
The recent bailouts may not have been necessary. Thankfully, we are living in a technology driven age, where such incidents cannot possibly be buried in a time capsule with a hope of never being found until it becomes irrelevant.
All these blatant attacks and innuendoes were to demoralize me and debilitate my effort in spreading the message of our movement.
I owe my passion, commitment and drive to get further involved in the campaign to my children especially my eleven-year-old child.
He encouraged me to stand up to partisan politics and send a strong message to commentators like Chris Matthews, Andrea Mitchell and the likes,
That, ordinary people can do extraordinary things in life.
In fact, he was targeted as well with a nickname sidekick by the President-elect Barack Obama’s opponents for his exceptional role in exploiting the web technology with the publication of my blog posts.
My son’s advice to me was, not to rest until Senator Barack Obama is elected "The President" Barack Obama. I am glad and proud of my son’s advice to fight against the odds given the extreme stressful situation at that time.
Surely, children have a better sense of rationality enabling them to behold a different vision for the world.
They realize the burden on them with respect to the national debt, credibility and financial security as future taxpayers of the economy.
Prior to the election coverage, MSNBC’s show –
The Countdown by Keith Olbermann targeted the American idol contestant Sanjaya Malakar and
Sadistically mocked him almost on a daily basis to survive competition with condescending remarks through critic like Maria Melito.
Maria Melito in her brutal attack against Sanjaya Malakar claimed that the reason for Sanjaya to gain unprecedented votes was because…
“The people of his ethnicity i.e. India, voting for him never had anyone rise to the hall of fame in history.” Sadly, such comment reflected ignorance as anyone born on Planet Earth, should know the ancient Indus valley civilization which is India is not new to fame and wisdom.
The land in South East Asia is the origin and birth place of celestial beings like the Holy Lord Krishna, Holy and Graceful Gautama Buddha and sentient beings of the twentieth century such as Mahatma Gandhi –
The noble soul, the light of the world, the mentor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Dr. Nelson Mandela, preached and practiced non-violence, peace and unity that are oxy-moron in the contemporary world.
Not excluding other notable scholars like Nobel laureates…
The Poet Rabindra Nath Tagore for literature in 1913 and DR. Har Gobind Khorana for Physiology or Medicine in 1968 to name a few.
Besides, Sanjaya Malakar fan base sprawled across the social spectrum as demonstrated by his young admirer, Ashley Ferl awestruck during his performance.
Young Ashley Ferl, was in return summoned to the Senate for rigorous interrogation by the elected officials…
Prioritizing investigation of genuine admiration for a young performer on the national stage over serious issues like Abu Ghraib, Katrina and deliberate exposure of CIA overt operative Mrs. Valerie Plaim.
To revert to the article by Victor Davis Hanson, ref. San Jose Mercury News, Nov 13, 2008, titled — “The kind of real ‘hope and change’ we can believe in for next year”
“The media, meanwhile should be careful not to abandon fairness and discretion for short-term political advantage.
When the wheel turns - and it too, always does - what you did or said will come back to haunt you.”
I could not agree more with the affirmation.
I hope Chris Matthews and others learned a lesson or two from this historic political event. When Change occurs, it happens all around much to the dismay of those consumed with fallacy and egocentrism regardless of the empire they reign. The mainstream, far left and right media as well as some news organization with an exception of cable network like –
“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”, “The Colbert Report” and “The Late Night Shows”, Failed to meet the journalistic standards of objectivity and professionalism required in the presentation of views and analysis of any events particularly a Presidential election or for that matter, serious missions like the war.
The role of MSNBC and FOX in their relentless bashing of the candidates from both political aisles successfully drove the viewers to the cyberspace in search of…
Truth and Transparency desperately sought by people of the human race.
Whether it is young Sanjaya Malakar reaching for the stars or young Senator from the State of Illinois, President-elect Barack Obama successfully taking a shot at the highest office on land,
Their audacity of hope was challenged with rhetoric filled with racial slur, negative attacks and divisive politics to deny them the spotlight.
It is admirable that both individuals displayed a decorum signifying unity and poise seen unlike before in dealing with excessive criticism from the entities exhibiting power in the corporate media and Public office.
United States is a nation of immigrants from all over the world.
Any social progress to the satisfaction of all those feeling disfranchised is attainable only if the media and the elected officials recognize their share of responsibility in the service to democracy.
Further, the author of the cited article, Mr. Victor Davis Hanson, concluded with the following passage:
“Obama and his giddy Democratic majority sound like they think they will now be novel exceptions to these iron laws of politics, as if they really believe their hype that they are the “change” we have been waiting for, with cosmic power to stop the planet from heating and the seas from rising.
But the only real difference from the past old politics is that the present avatars of “hope and change” apparently don’t believe that the age-old adage - “The more things change, the more they remain the same” - will really apply to them as well.”
————————————————————–
It does not require the cosmic power to stop the planet form heating and the seas from rising.
It is doable by the ordinary human power to respect life in general and act responsibly for their survival now and in the future.
Failing that,
Perhaps the cosmic power could influence the resisting human nature to preserve and protect the ecological balance necessary for the sustenance of the planet.
As for the age-old adage referenced above applying to the present avatars of ‘Hope and Change”, It entirely depends on the agents of change and their target.
The age-old adage applies to those involved in cosmetic change rather than fundamental change, the ultimate goal and mission of the present avatars of “Hope and Change.”
Cosmetic change is delusional and beneficial for short-term gains affecting a selective few, hence it yields “more of the same” result.
Whereas, fundamental change target the philosophy of the institution as the sovereign power and,
Therefore, it is real, long lasting and universal.
As per the Hindu mythology, Almighty God Shiva is depicted the
“Lord of Destruction.”
Destruction is Deliverance for a New beginning with a divine commitment to depart from the age-old adage towards new-era prophecy, a divergence from
“The Oscillating Pendulum.” –
The significance and the sole purpose of the avatars of “Hope and Change.”
The reason for my involvement in a political campaign of this magnitude — the Presidential race 2008, was to convey the message that United States is a nation of immigrants and democracy is truly represented when individual rights of every citizen is honored and valued in true spirit.
While it is a great moment in history to realize the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,
Whose sacrifice is symbolized with the election of the first African American candidate as the 44th President of the United States in 2008,
It is unequivocally demoralizing to note the outcome of the Vote for Proposition 8 banning “Gay Marriage” and,
The failure of “Touch-Screen machines for disabled voters” in the California ballot and elsewhere –
(Ref. San Jose Mercury News, Thursday, November 6, 2008 Section 2B, by Karen de Sá ).
Like stated earlier, when individuals exercise authority with the voting power in the denial of civil and human rights as demonstrated in the two most tragic results, it is a sad day for democracy.
Nevertheless, my message to all my dear friends and fellow citizens in the gay community and the disabled voters is…
You never quit a half won battle, even if the opposition appears to be strong and forceful in rhetoric but fragile in essence.
It is noteworthy that, this mandate on Gay marriage was bargained in monetary terms by the religious institutions with highly questionable ethics and conduct especially against young children i.e. girls and boys alike.
Such mandate should be challenged again in the court of law for the constitutional and civil rights of all citizens to prevail in the land of justice, that is the United States of America.
Further, much to the dismay of the opposing religious order — this challenge is being remanded with the blessing of the same “Almighty God” inappropriately referenced in the debate as the shield for their orthodox and hypocritical philosophy.
Any democracy is active when disfranchisement of one by another is discarded for common good of all.
Otherwise, it is not a democracy, it is a hypocrisy.

Obama '08
In 2000, the entire election came down to a small number of votes in one county in Florida.
Four years later, we came up short by an average of nine voters per precinct in Ohio .
A small change in voter turnout would have made all the difference. Take it from me, elections matter. And this time, supporters like you can make it happen.
I know this might not be possible for everyone, but I'm asking you to consider volunteering anytime between now and Election Day -- Tuesday, November 4th.
With so much at stake this year, we can't miss any opportunity to get more voters to the polls -- and make sure their votes are counted.
You have an important role to play in this election. Please sign up to volunteer.
We all watched in the last two presidential elections as the course of our nation was determined by a few thousand votes in key battleground states .
After eight years of failed policies and divisive politics, we can take back the White House and set our nation on the right path.
It's up to each of us to make sure we turn this movement for change into millions of more votes on Election Day.
Find out how you can make a difference in these last two days, and help support Barack Obama and Joe Biden :

With your help, we can make history -- and bring the change we need to our country.

Response to Vice President Al Gore:
Hon. Former Vice President Al Gore The United States of America
Dear Mr. Vice President Al Gore,
I am honored to receive your request via above email.
Since, all of my communication with Obama campaign is controlled by "default server" managed by Michelle Obama, I am responding to your email through the blog post.
I hope, you have the opportunity to view this message!
Due to the mandatory role as a "volunteer" all along assigned by Michelle Obama, I was busy promoting the message of equality and fairness and the America that Dr. King had in his dream for our President Elect Barack Obama.
Therefore, I could not reply to your email immediately.
Please accept my apologies and am delighted that all of our efforts and hard work has yielded the desired results for our great nation and the entire world.
As a nation, we have made history and come together in realizing the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Congratulations to yourself, the Democratic Party and once again the President Elect Barack Obama and the Vice President Elect Joe Biden.
Best Regards
President Elect Barack Obama and Vice President Elect Joe Biden,
Please accept my heartfelt Congratulations! On your historic victory tonight.
Our great nation, The United States of America has once again prevailed as the pioneer in transcending race and making political history.
Senator Barack Obama, you have indeed made everyone proud with your impressive performance tonight.
The dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is realized with great affirmation and blessing from the American electorate.
You not only won the “Blue States” but also many “Red States” and that is what is great about our United States, the nation we all love so much!
Best Wishes
The Presidential race is finally nearing end with the nation in the process of electing their 44th President of this great country, The United States of America.
The representation of all party candidates is on the ballot and they have all presented their election manifestos to the electorate.
The decision lies in the hands of the voters to make the right choice.
While the entire world’s eyes set on this election due to its significance and the historic nature, the weight of the world indeed, rests on the American electorate.
Therefore, my plea to every citizen fortunate enough to exercise the fundamental right in a democracy is to cast his or her ballot on this Election Day and be part of history.
As stated earlier in my previous blog postings, like all elections, there are relevant differences between the candidacies for the senate, congressional and Presidential race.
It is equally important to pay attention to various “Propositions” presented in lieu of “Referendum” in democratic elections.
Our nation has suffered enormously in the past eight years.
The wound is fresh and requires time for the healing process.
The only way to expedite is by making the right choices in all of the above races.
As much as I would like to remain bipartisan on this day in terms of encouraging all citizens to vote for their respective candidates and issues, I am also obligated to guide the nation in the right direction of peace, progress and prosperity for all.
It is my honorable duty and specific purpose of this life to fulfill the responsibilities towards not only the citizens of the United States but the entire world.
With all due respect, to the Republican Party candidates Senator John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin and all other third party candidates listed in the http://www.politics1.com/p2008.htm, I appreciate their interests and patriotism to serve this great nation.
However, when compared to the specifics of the policies,
And the real possibility of achieving the goals to uplift our nation from all of the crises,
The Democratic candidacy represented by Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden seems far more realistic and attainable.
Therefore, I urge the electorate to cast their ballot for Obama/Biden candidacy that is not only hopeful but also seriously committed to this country and the entire world in great many respects.
I take this opportunity and wish all the candidates in the Republican and the third party my very best wishes on this Election Day.
It is important for the voters to realize that our nation has to climb a steep hill with enormous burden of debt and many crises on our back.
There is no time to rest and pause but only to reflect on the failures of the current administration and restrain from re-election of the choice resembling and representing the present government.
The electoral process should not be wasted or gambled away for trial and error as in the past i.e. 2000 and 2004.
Unfortunately, the stakes are too high and there is no time or space to maneuver once decided on this date, with another opportunity becoming available only in four years time.
The Obama/Biden candidacy focused on resolving issues with clear solutions and sincere commitment is the right choice for the country experiencing the most difficult economic times, social, political, environmental problems in the national and international fronts.
Both Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden offer dynamic leadership brimming with confidence, determination, zeal, enthusiasm, honesty, integrity and above all sound strategies for the present national and international situations.
The term “change” has been the theme of the Presidential race.
In all fairness and propriety, the actual agent who initiated and overwhelmingly enforced this message of “Change” is none other than, the Senator from the State of Illinois, Senator Barack Obama.
In fact, Senator Barack Obama truly believed in his heart that the country desperately needed to change its course and felt the urgency to implement the method in this election.
Undoubtedly, all candidates worked hard tirelessly in this campaign and dealt with compliments and criticisms alike from all sides.
Senator Barack Obama introduced new mechanism and demeanor in this political campaign.
For most part, Senator Obama had to fight tenacious battles to reach the finish line during the Democratic Primary election and then in the general election as well.
Senator Barack Obama displayed a decorum seen unlike before.
Throughout the decision making process in this election, Senator Barack Obama has come across as a leader with an ability to sail through rough seas with a calm composure and reliable in reaching the shore safely.
Despite several negative attacks, innuendoes, divisive politics, Senator Barack Obama maintained an impressive personality to accept not only his own mistakes but also others as part of human nature.
As stated earlier, being infallible is not in human condition.
Senator Obama and Senator Biden, despite the unfortunate Gaffes proved their ability to rise to the occasion and demonstrate leadership qualities essential to lead the nation in the right direction.
The reason behind our current national status is due to the lack of strong leadership in dealing with any challenges and crisis.
Placing emphasis on these characteristics is all-important when choosing a leader of a powerful nation that has the responsibility to lead the entire world.
The United States of America is on its knees with insurmountable debt, tarnished image and severe credibility crisis.
The current administration’s reckless policies and lack of chivalry in the governance of the democratic nation is responsible for the present status.
None of us can afford to let the nation sink in the treacherous sea of debt and destruction through on-going wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
It takes a nation to elect a leader, the President of the United States, the “Superpower” now and in the future.
I urge every citizen from all the great states of The United States:
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Please come forward,
Rescue our great country from the current turmoil and distress,
By electing the candidate Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden to the office of the President and Vice President of the United States,
Grant them a landslide victory in the 2008 Presidential race, and create history.
If you are tired of being bogged down in poverty,
Or
Living paycheck-to-paycheck and simply struggling to meet ends as well as,
All those tired of the greatness of this great nation diminished to rock bottom in the past eight years, the opportunity is for you to act now and change the direction towards peace, progress and prosperity for all.
The Obama/Biden candidacy is the only ideal choice to lead the nation and restore everything lost in the past eight years under the most incompetent and immoral administration.
It is our responsibility as citizens to come together as one nation and elect the leader and the future President and Vice President of the United States, Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden on this Election Day, November 4, 2008.
Future President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden represent the hope and change for millions in this nation and around the world.
The United States of America is the beacon of bright light now and in the future and the Barack Obama Presidency will surely keep this promise.
Let us all come together in realizing the dream of our great national hero, civil right leader and icon of peace the honorable, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Finally, Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden, I wish you all the best and success with the outcome of the Presidential election on this date, November 4, 2008.
The latest assault weapon for Senator John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin against their opponent Senator Barack Obama is the “Socialist/Marxist/Robin Hood” tag on him.
Such rhetoric and false propaganda is to create doubts in the minds of entrepreneurs against Senator Obama.
The distortion of Senator Obama’s policy leading businesses to believe that,
“In Taxing 1% of the population in the 40% tax bracket while shifting the tax burden to the top 10% percent with 70% of tax exacerbates the entities from active participation in the economic growth.”
The reason behind similar branding is the fair tax proposal presented by Senator Obama to alleviate the socioeconomic problems that has currently widened the canyon between rich and poor in our country.
Thus slowly but gradually eliminating the middle class in our society.
Senator Barack Obama’s tax policy is based on relieving all citizens including small and medium sized businesses earning less than or equal to gross income of $250,000 per annum from any tax hikes to offset expenditure.
This strategy creates financial liquidity among households and businesses alike that is desperately required to stimulate the ailing economy.
By exempting the average households from any tax increases, the consumer spending is generated that will benefit the Retail economy which in turn will permeate throughout the economic spectrum.
The strengthening of the Retail economy will boost the manufacturing, service industry… reaching all the way to the top of the corporate growth.
The Corporate growth means investment prospects for both private and public sectors resulting in healthier and consistent stock market performance that has been highly volatile recently.
It is simple economics.
Supply and demand forces determine a free market system.
Unless, there is a demand for any particular goods or services the supply chain link cannot remain in force.
Simultaneously, the demand can be a catalyst in the process only through affordable consumer spending.
This is where the small and medium sized businesses come into play with the tax breaks from Senator Obama’s policy.
It is noteworthy that small and medium sized businesses deal with wholesale industries for raw materials and other items ultimately owned by major corporations in a market economy.
There are valid reasons to embrace the market economy worldwide.
A. Induces competition apart from enrichment of ideas
B. Competition enables choices in quality and price
C. Controls inflation or deflation
Therefore, the retail consumers benefit from the market economy that facilitates all small, medium and large players in competing with one another effectively for common good.
All of the above factors directly and indirectly influence the fiscal, monetary and economic policies in a Capital economy.
Briefly, the cash flow offered through tax relief by Senator Obama to a substantial group of taxpayers who are also the consumers trigger consumer spending and exponentially elevate the economic status among various groups in the society.
It also eventually contributes to the wealth accumulation by the top ten percent in the society whose welfare alone is a major concern for McCain/Palin candidacy.
Ironically, the McCain/Palin candidacy in their zeal to own Capitalism as their trademark, fail to recognize the importance of fundamental growth in the lower and middle income groups vital for the survival of small businesses and retail industries, the structural components of a successful Capital economy.
Senator McCain’s tax policy to freeze tax increases across the board by asserting that the Bush administration’s permanent tax cuts to wealthy individuals and Corporations would miraculously revive the economy is a fantasy beyond reason.
It is worth remembering for McCain/Palin campaign that the current Bush administration, as their supporter will depart shortly leaving the nation with multi-trillion dollar debt, on-going wars in Iraq and Afghanistan requiring constant capital injection, declining dollar and hosts of economic commitments willfully neglected in the past eight years.
The undecided/swing voters in every battleground state must realize that there are no precise solutions from McCain/Palin candidacy to resolve the humongous challenges confronting our nation in the absence of any meaningful tax policy.
Senator McCain’s policy to create new jobs as economic solutions again fails to meet the criteria of capital requirement in the present economy with severe financial liquidity crisis.
In fact, the recent economic strategy to bankroll the corrupt and failed financial institutions with the taxpayers funds, along with the economic stimulus package by the Bush administration fits the profile of the political stigma - “Socialism/Marxism” except,
Here, the beneficiaries are the financial institutions and their wealthiest CEO’s rather than the taxpayers i.e. the average citizens.
Since, the same political party represents the Bush administration and McCain/Palin candidacy, it would be more appropriate to assign the factoid to the respective contenders.
Fact Check: In a progressive tax structure, Senator Obama’s policy to exempt the vast majority of taxpayers/consumers from tax increase would,
1. Promote economic status as highlighted above…
2. Ultimately, create a fair system of sharing the economic burden by all rather than only by the affluent ones.
Such farsighted and permanent solutions to persisting economic problems is in direct contradiction to the myth and misnomer cast by McCain/Palin doctrine against Senator Barack Obama to win the election.
Socialism/Marxism may well be the nemesis to Capitalism,
Capitalism cannot thrive without consumerism – That is the fact.
The election is around the corner.
Our nation’s electoral process is nearing conclusion.
Both party candidates are working very hard along with thousands of campaign workers to set a better example of a credible election in the world’s first and modern democracy.
Of course, the debates, discussions and campaign speeches will continue until the eve of the election.
What is important for the electorate to understand is their role in this historic and democratic process?
The candidates have done their part in delivering their speeches and presenting the policies for various challenges confronting our nation.
It is now entirely in the hands of the electorate to make the right choice.
We all know the consequences of making wrong decisions based on personal background, rhetoric and election gimmicks that often come into play at the last minute of the event.
Unfortunately, the rhetoric from Senator McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin’s campaign against Senator Barack Obama is fundamentally immoral and resonating the usual tactics of the political game… Do or say anything to win election .
Anyone residing in this nation in the past eight years should know where that kind of politics has brought us both in the national and international scene --
The nation dragged on its knees with the economic disaster, relentless and reckless wars, education, health care, energy and environmental crises and last but not the least the decline in morality with the cavalier approach to every problem and situation.
It is time for the electorate to rise to the occasion and save the country every one of us love.
Moreover, invite the best opportunities that are lost in the past eight years of failed policies by casting your vote for Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden’s candidacy.
As stated earlier on numerous occasions, Senator Barack Obama’s candidacy is historic in many aspects.
Most importantly, it has the right antidote for the ailing economy, health care, education, energy, foreign policy and environmental crises.
Gov. Sarah Palin’s environmental record is no secret.
Anyone in need of enlightenment in this respect please read the article Save the Planet on www.padminiarhant.com under environment and ethics category.
Further, Gov. Palin’s position in denying the women’s right to choose in Roe vs. Wade is yet another matter of concern in a democratic society.
Senator John McCain on his part is all over the place on all issues.
The reason being;
The Senator has focused more on vilification of his opponent Senator Barack Obama with unethical personal attacks and unsavory remarks rather than specifying the solutions for the nation’s problems.
Senator John McCain, who won the Republican Primary election as a maverick lost his persona in the general election.
The era of winning elections on personal attacks and rhetoric is outdated unlike 2000 and 2004 proclamations.
In this election 2008, a new trend has been set and the electorate, media and news organizations must insist that candidates and all other participants maintain the decorum.
Nothing else matters other than the sanctity of democratic values in this election or in the future.
All that the voters care about and deserve is the clear strategy and solutions for the problems created by the legislators mostly representatives of the Corporations.
The voters in all battleground states – Nevada, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Florida and Missouri must make a clear choice:
If they want to see their children and the future generation relieved from the burden of multi- trillion dollar debts and the planet they could live safely and peacefully.
That choice cannot be anything other than the Obama/Biden candidacy.
Please stop guessing and swaying on the baseless and false allegations about Senator Barack Obama from the McCain/Palin campaign.
It should be obvious to any discerning voter that any candidacy that evades the real issues and invest the entire resources in character assassination of a candidate like Senator Barack Obama will be a disaster for the citizens and the country.
The time is now to claim the mantle of peace, progress and prosperity for all from those responsible for chaos, catastrophe and crises.
It is achievable only through Obama/Biden candidacy.
Your vote will count and matter only with the Obama/Biden candidacy.
Please do it for yourself, your children and all the other loved ones by voting early for the candidacy of Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden.
Finally, please standby for clarification on distortion of facts such as,
Redistribution of Wealth and other personal issues raised by McCain/Palin campaign against Senator Barack Obama.
Well this is really something!
Although, it is not impossible, it seems very unlikely that somebody else has my exact name, so I write today to clear up this confusion that I have just this day, discovered... "I" am the real "flesh and blood" "Todd Larkin"!
I share few if any views with the mystery blogger and supposed vet_08 author of the other "Todd Larkin's Blog" on this site. I would appreciate it's prompt removal as a possible imposter since I am an exceedingly conservative/libertarian minded Republican in good standing. I live in Alaska, burn wood, kill stuff too eat, don't want government to get another dime from American business and workers and so on...
If (and that is a big "if") I had any reason at all to support the likes of Barack/Biden, it would only be in the desperate hope, that a hard enough or radical enough turn to the left and full embrace of socialism or outright Communism, would be 'enough' to shake people out of their slumber and reject such notions once and for all as the failed experiment they are. Then we might get back to what built the most successful and powerful country the world has ever seen; principals such as, free market exchange between common citizens, unfettered by government constrictions or taxation, or, applying the occasional biblical principal to such things as work ethic/caring for the needy/treatment of others/government actions/etc... and finally, the right to (yes) fail! We once honored the right to bet the farm or just never even get up and milk the darn cow and suffer for the consequences without the constant and hugely expensive "safety nets" government sets up and complicates life with.
Beyond that singular reasoning for Obama support, i am at a loss as to why one would vote for this man or any similar socialist.
Now if it is not obvious, I am supporting, McCain/Palin in this presidential race, not that my party's nominee is terribly conservative but, with the addition of Palin, it seems there is a brighter future for us conservatives and a seat at the table; nevertheless, it is McCain/Palin that I endorse and NOT Obama/Biden, so I would thank you to not create confusion around my name. I am active and somewhat known in Alaska political circles and do not appreciate it one bit!
You (the Obama Campaign) would do well to 'vet out' whether your "vet" is who he claims to be before a lawsuit arrives at your campaign doorstep. As for me? Vet me out all you like, I AM "Todd Larkin", the real thing! I live here in Alaska with my dog in a small one bedroom house I built myself and barely afford. I'm here all the time and darn easy to find, so get on it! If you want pictures... Google me and you'll see that I "am" and that I have a bit of political activity under my belt and all those people I dealt with are pretty sure I'm really me too (especially my enemies, don't be one).
As for the "other" Todd... if by some outside chance you are just another guy with my exact name, I (and my name) are very disappointed in what you've become. Stop feeling and start thinking! Go try to find the socialist or communist society that worked out well for the people or didn't result in mass killings, and wake up to the failed experiment, Jeeze man!?
Slightly frustrated regards,
Todd Larkin

Dear President Obama,
Yes, you're already the people's president.
I am an inmate in a Federal Prison. I want to share my view of your race to the White House.
Yes, I/we watch the news, not all inmates are dummied by the stigma of incarceration. We have our think-tank sessions just like outside society. You for president give us hope, not just inmates but America as a whole. You did that by having a different platform than other presidential candidates. You portrayed CHANGE, and your agenda was on point for primaries. You led the people of this great nation to believe that. We thought, “Finally, we have someone that is concerned FIRST for the well-being of HOME, not about what is going on around the globe somewhere.” Your concern for HOME was edifying. That is what captivated us!
However, recently your popular vote has suffered, and it has been because you have allowed McCain to "knock you off your square". You had this man well beat before you even started this last leg of the elections. But now you have let him pull you into His Platform, which is something he knows well. It looked bad and discredited your strength when you allowed the opposition to talk you into going to the Middle East. Don’t do that! Make sure that any ventures you make derive from your camp and are of your design.
Nonetheless, the people don’t really care if you know Osama Ben’ Laden’s name. You should not have even tried to apologize for that. You could have boldly said, "Whatever his name is, he is a terrorist and an enemy of this country.” Why should you be on a first name basis with him or his family, like others are? Do not follow into McCain’s territory, stick with your platform. Elaborate and expand on what you are going to do for THIS COUNTRY... America is crying for your help, we are hurting! Once you have gain the trust of the people, that you will deliver CHANGE.... you got the presidency.I/we understand that decorum of global politics is a must, but believe us, it is second to "WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR THIS COUNTRY". We are tired of selfish presidents making plans to improve gas profits and boost global growth in corporate America. Plans like these are very much against the average American. Record breaking/tripled gas profits for the petrollium indistry have tripled the prices of everyday spending- crippled our economy. Sending white collar jobs (customer support, IT, any type of help desk) to other countries to decrease employee benefit spending has increased US unemployment and poverty levels. Not everyone is acclimated to increasing skills and education, not everyone will go to college. However, people that didn’t further their education had clear career paths to aim for in customer service, white collar skills. Now all of a sudden, we're not smart enough. How did we become a people that's addicted to gas, need to improve skills and are over weight in the last 8 years? If our own president publicly bad mouths us why wouldn't the world? We need you to speak proudly of us, restore our nation’s confidence and integrity as a people.
TO CLOSE: You asked, "Where are all the fathers?”Well, we are sitting in prisons all over this country with ungodly sentences. I'm merely an example. I am in here for possession with intent to distribute marijuana. I've never been in prison; I have no violence in my background or my entire family’s background. I had and still maintain good community and family ties. Yet I received a 30 year sentence under the Mandatory Minimums Sentencing Scheme. There’s no parole in Federal Prison, no laws to recede prison time for good time served. There's currently no way of giving this back. I made a terrible mistake. However, why is my mistake justified with a 30 year sentence while murders and rapist paroled in some cases less than 10 years? Should I be in prison for another 8 years, 11 months? I could be out there working, helping my family, paying my taxes and helping out in the community. There are many good men in here. If given a chance we could bring back the times of old where the fathers take care of their responsibilities in a respectable way. We are not scared to go into our communities and talk to the young that are now out of control. Mr. President, I am ready, willing and able to step into my father role. I just need to be freed. So the answer to your question is... a lot of those fathers are in here with me. We are being warehoused until we are ripe with age (too old to work or provide), then we will be sent out to fend for ourselves. I'm blessed to still have a family and a home, at least for a little while longer. Many don’t have that.
My wife and son keep crying out for me to come home. All I can tell them is that I am trying, and to have faith, hope and pray.
From all the fathers with good intensions in prison
And my loving family, the Ruebens'
With much respect,
Mauricio Rueben, 59216-079P.O. Box 9000Forrest City, AR 72336

Bearing that gift to those who prize the individual over the tribal is a messenger who shared a Hyde Park neighborhood with Milton Friedman, though with a public record that suggests he is more statist than classical liberal. But Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), can’t be categorized that simply. He is, rather, an intellectual and ideological work in progress. Not stuck in cable-babble caricatured time, he may be traveling the circuitous path many “liberal-tarians”—or libertarian Democrats like me—treaded as we grew and found our way back to the self-reliant values that informed our pluralistic democracy. We lost those values in the Industrial and Progressive eras, when advocates of centralized planning prized society’s perfection over individual liberty. While Obama’s positions don’t exactly channel the Cato Institute, his departure from usual Democratic Party left-liberalism is reflected in the left’s suspicion of him for not having all the 162-point plans of Sen. Hillary Clinton, or spewing the syrupy populism of trial lawyer to the underclass, Sen. John Edwards.
To me, this suggests the beginnings of a journey away from the Great Society mind-set of the Democratic Party. I was a 1960s teenage political junkie who wanted to complete the New Deal, with wealth redistribution and “social justice” managed from Washington. I morphed into a 1980s DLC centrist, embracing mushy “progressive” politics as a halfway house from statist liberalism. Now in my own sixties, I have rediscovered the founder of my party, Thomas Jefferson, in an information era in which we are desktop-empowered to seek our own way and make our own choices, much like the agrarian age inventors of our political system.I can’t claim to know exactly where Obama is on this ideological continuum. He may not even know. But in his personal evolution, he has moved from the white world of boy Barry in Hawaii and Indonesia, to left-liberal enclaves at Ivy League colleges engaging with young conservatives, to a kind of noblesse oblige organizer bearing the white man's burden (half, in his case) on the streets of Chicago. He went from a young state legislator too aloof, in too much of a hurry for his colleagues in Springfield, to a failed U.S. House candidacy against former Black Panther Bobby Rush, hobbled by an inability to translate the language of the Harvard Law Review to the vernacular of the street. From that latter experience, he drew lessons allowing him to grow as a politician, hearing and incorporating some of the style of the black preacher—including the one who was to later cause him so much grief. He returned to Springfield after that failed congressional bid a different man.He seems to be a grounded but still searching, an intellectually curious 46-year-old, with a breadth and depth of life experience that will help him make informed choices in a pluralistic democracy that demands its leaders split a lot of differences.Compromise is a word doctrinaire libertarians find more appalling than appealing. But there's a lot that is appealing in Barack Obama.Look at his health care plan. While it certainly won’t satisfy free-market purists, it relies on private insurance coverage, encourages portability and choice, promotes competition, and allows purchase of prescription drugs from other countries. It wasn’t by accident he proposed fewer government mandates for purchasing coverage—and was pummeled for it in every debate by the politician who, back in 1993, seemed to seek personal control of a big chunk of our economy. Though drugs and crime can be political minefields for an urban black candidate who has acknowledged marijuana and cocaine use, Obama has no hard line positions in favor of neo-prohibition and has made promising comments about pulling back from America’s status as one of the world’s most prolific jailers. Immediately, his election will restore America's reputation around the world as an opponent of interventionist elective wars. But perhaps most important to libertarians, his election will put the Jesse Jacksons, the Al Sharptons, and the white identity politics liberals out of business. No longer will they be able to peddle victimology or mau-mau their way through the political landscape, demanding diversity training, minority contracts, or other tribal reparations from bigots they find behind every bush. The myth of unassimilable “minorities” dies when a majority white nation selects a leader “of color,” just as religious social distance was diminished when a majority Protestant country chose a Catholic a half-century before. There is no perfect leader in the wings. I'll settle for one whose election will signal the end of the world of racial politics as we know it. And, with a nod to R.E.M., I'll feel fine about it.

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said. “Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl."---Politico.com
That's Barry talking, man. "Baracks" don't say things like that.
And that's the kind of talk "the folks down home" like to hear from Presidents.

I would just like to congratulate Sen. Barack Obama on his victory in clinching the Democratic Presidential Nominee. It was a long hard fight but I knew Sen. Obama would be the victor in the competition. I have not seen a presidential hopeful that I am willing to support 100% like him. Sen. Obama has the most sensible solutions and plans to fix the problems that face America today. Because of his charisma, honesty, dignity, integrity and willingness to listen to the American people, he has earned my undivided attention and great respect. I have not seen the qualities, I see in Sen. Obama, in any other presidential hopefuls in any 2 of the elections I have been able to vote in since I have been the legal age to vote. I didn't used to get too involved in politics until I enlisted in the Air Force and even after that I didn't get too involved until now. Sen. Obama has drawn me closer to politics and has made me want to get more involved in his campaign for the White House. Being a disabled veteran is also another reason I support Sen. Obama. His record for his work for veterans is very impressive and gains my support even more.
All around I side with Sen. Obama on his outlooks and views with just about everything. There has been no other Presidential hopeful in this primary season that I agree with, or respect, more than Sen. Obama. There are a few issues I would like to discuss with Sen. Obama but I do support him 100%.
CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN!!! Go PRESIDENT Obama!!!
