We get our friends registered to vote, we encourage even those who can't yet vote to volunteer (no one should be without a political voice). We must be EVANGELICAL. I strike up conversations with any friendly face. Listen to their concerns and then respond with why THEY should vote DEMOCRATIC or for BARAK OBAMA. Even Republicans who work hard for a living should realize that FREEOM and CHOICE in the free market is the RIGHT of all trading partners, even the poorest paid worker. There is no freedom without an independent voice. Next do YOUTUBE using your webcam. Go there and check what I have done and do as I did: Express your free and independent voice for OBAMA!!! ALSO... call for information and ASK for the Democratic Party Head Quarters in your county... Leave them a message that you want to help...
IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN! We are Americans, we can make it happen...

I think it is time for Obama to start the transition from his proposed health care plan to a single-payer plan. This will require some pressure from his supporters, and also some pressure from those in congress who are interested in the health care issue, and their supporters. And from health care professionals who favor single-payer. It will be an uphill battle, and he will need a LOT of wind at his back to pull it off. I believe his best chance is to put him in a position of being pressured by us and others. He can then respond, listening to the opinions and suggestions of those with some experience - including representatives from those countries who have single-payer in place already. This is consistent with his style of getting expert advice on other major issues. It will be necessary for supporters to put pressure on their congress members, and get the word out via letters to the editors of local papers, etc., to build up support in the population leading to pressure to which Obama can then yield. If he goes out front with this himself, he could endanger his chances of getting elected. This ground movement needs to start soon, and build up through the election, like a hurrican off the gulf coast, and reach the coast at full strength as Obama is taking the oath of office.
An intereting article on the state of our health care system, and the benefits of single-payer can be found here:

I am sure that there are others... and would welcome links to articles and sites that do a good job of explaining how single-payer works.
Anyone out there feel the same as I do?
