"From the Front Porches of Charleston:" The Election of Barack Obama is a free, special edition e-book published by lulu.com and now available for download. The free commemorative e-book offers reflections and insights on Barack Obama's election, using Charleston's historical connections to the American Presidency, going back before George Washington. "From the Front Porches of Charleston" contains over 100 pages of photos, many from Barack Obama's photostream. Several appeared on the front pages of the nation's newspapers announcing his victory. The photos include international groups supporting Barack, a collection of posters, rallies across the country, a charleston section, and intimate looks at Barack's open love for his wife, Michelle, and his devotion to his family.
The book is free! Use this direct acess link to preview the book or download the free special edition http://www.lulu.com/content/5233419. This free commemorative e-book is truly a comprehensive record of Barack Obama's history making campaign! Enjoy it!
a wonderful selection of photos of women supporting Senator Obama at Washington's 7th Congressional District caucus in Seattle, 17 May 2008. Photos attributed to Robert Kangas. More photos here.
One of my recent miniature oil paintings of Barack, currently available on Ebay. A great way to purchase a very nice and detailed original portrait of Barack at an affordable price.
I'm a published artist and gallery exhibited artist, but probably of most interest to the visitors to barackobama.com is that I'm the creator of the formerly very Right-Wing conservative Christian Faithmouse cartoon, which during the past year has taken a non-partisan direction.
About Faithmouse
I take requests for paintings and cartoons as well; the Faithmouse Megathread on Something Awful is a good place to view some of this recent work.
Anyone is welcome to post the above image to their own blog, sites or forums. Also, please consider joining in an ongoing non-partisan blogger Googlebombing demonstration of the 2008 Beijing Olympics in China.
I just entered a photo of Senator Obama in contest being put on by Ovation TV. The picture is of him standing in front of a giant American flag. It was taken at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, at a fundraising event put on by NYC Young Professional for Obama (and with the support of Brooklyn for Barack).
The picture with the most votes will be aired on Ovation, so help out and get a bit of free publicity for the campaign.
It's a daily contest, so you must vote by today (Wed. Nov. 21 at about 5 p.m. EDT). If you are willing to vote, follow the instructions at: http://www0.fotolog.com/contest_main.html?cid=171. (You'll need to create a free account with fotolog.com to vote, but it only takes a minute or 2). You can find my picture pretty quickly if you click on "Most Votes" to sort the pictures in order of votes received. On the thumbnail version, all you really see is an American flag.
Thanks.
