The President of United States Mr.Obama, will be speaking to the children of America on Sep 8th, to tune in and listen is your right, to hear to what he has to say is our privilege, his advise on the importance of Education ....Yes, He cares! His request to the youth across the country to stay in school is his Vision for the future of this country. To improve our education system is his responsibility.
If our Children remain in Schools and are educated, why do we have to out source Brain?
If there is a cost for our tuition today, there's a price for our Brain tomorrow!
There is a reason why the brain wave comes from India today, its because they stayed in school when they had to. They saw the value and need for Education. Their President Dr.Abdul kalam spoke to them about the need for Education and the impact is deep and intense. They are thankful for his advise.
Ignorance is Bliss, but let that not dieter you, from listening to what our President has to say.
Education is the life line to the future of this country. Lets not forget "Today's Youth", are "Tomorrows Dream", of this nation.
Lots of print on how the global economy has spun out of control with plenty of finger pointing. There is the argument that those that could not really afford to buy a home were taking out risky loans with little or no down payment and low monthly payments (originally]. I do not agree. Surely, the mortgage lenders that would offer such risky loans are equally if more culpable. Why offer such risky loans? Why money of course. The no down payment & pay only the adjustable interest rate would bring in huge amounts of money for the mortgage lender. Then Wall Street got involved with hugely complex investment instruments utilizing the risky sub-prime loans. It is a rather complex procedure that was simplified by 60 Minutes. This video will give you the low down in just ten minutes, and make no mistake this economic recession is directly the result of Wall Street and not Main Street. It is just Main Street that has been left holding the bag for Wall Street

A few months ago, I attended a luncheon with several of the most influential leaders of the Hawaii community. These leaders discussed the chracteristics, the personalities, and the actions of a good leader. Open-mindedness, time management skills, sincerity, trusthworthy, and enthusiasm ranked among the top. They further noted how numerous members of the Hawaii community possessed these skills. Unfortunately, the community lacks the most important skill. Voice.
I am a high school student in Honolulu, and am currently taking an Advance Placement class on the History of the United States. One of the class's major projects this year is to volunteer at a political campaign, and write a reflection on the experience: feelings, thoughts. Basically, the good and the bad stuffs.
I was very excited about the project. But, as I started to search for Barack Obama campaign events that provide volunteer opportunities, I was quite dismayed at how uninvolved the community is. I searched, and searched, and searched, and searched, and nothing. I found nothing.
When I came across this website, I thought I finally found hope-- awesome webpage design, teen-friendly interface, social networking-- what else can you ask for? But, as I search for events that are going on at my community (96818, 50 miles radius), the curtains were once again shut as the search only came up with 12 results.
What is going on Hawaii? Sen. Barack Obama is from our land! He is a member of our community, our ohana! We should be the one in front of the battle lines, campaigning, fundraising, painting our bodies with blue and red like the crazy football fans (only if necessary--sounds fun though). But instead, we do nothing!
I write this blog not just to vent out, but to raise the Hawaii awareness of how UNAWARE we are. How UNINVOLVED we are. How we LACK, and NEED VOICE.
It's not too late. We have each other, and Sen. Barack Obama on our side.
Let's go Hawaii, Let's go OBAMA!
It amazes me how the Bush administration has made lying the norm - a strategy McCain and Palin have adopted aggressively.
Do they think aggressive dishonesty will satisfy our hard-hearted cynicism, and capture our votes? Do lying politicians appeal to our sense of reality and pragmatism?

Despite some improvements, people are drinking water they fear and eating fish from water that kills fish. Why? As one says, "We have to eat."
