Preservationists from around the country were immediately struck by the handsome barn featured in the ad. In an email interview conducted by Historic Preservation for Obama, Joe confirmed the barn’s pedigree. “The barn on the video is the ‘newer’ section of our barn” Joe teased. “This section was completed in 1911.” It turns out the “newer” section was coupled to a pre-existing structure which may have been built as early as the mid 1800s.

That's the night Barack Obama will make history when he accepts the Democratic Party nomination for President of the USA! To celebrate the occasion, we are inviting all Obama supporters who can make it to join us for a heritage potluck dinner. What that is, is a dinner where you bring a dish reflecting your cultural heritage, whatever it may be. We hope to have many different ethnic, religious, national, and what-have-you represented. Mary Lou and Owen have hosted quite a few primary watching parties this year and every one of them has been a special time for those who came. BARACK THE VOTE IN '08!
Today is my father’s birthday. He’s not with us to celebrate. He died six years ago, but it remains a special day for me.
My dad was character of the highest order. He was a political man, a true-blue democrat his entire life. He was the son of an Irish immigrant, who came to this country under some questionable circumstances and married a woman of Native American heritage.
My dad was a depression-era kid, used to struggle and hard times. He taught us the value of hard work and assured us that the fastest route to hell was wastefulness. He was as liberal as the day is long.
I wrote this late last night and I would like everyone to read what I wrote, I am posting it again:
H. Clinton and B. Clinton are apparently desperate which in my opinion they should not be because “they” (I am being sarcastic when I right “they”) already had their time in the White House. H. C. and B. C., what type of smear campaign are you and your campaign attempting this time against Barack. I do not think it is “funny” (remember she likes to play games-she said so herself) by showing that picture of Barack in Africa. I think it was admirable dressing as he did and I am glad that Barack did so, especially in Kenya where his Father came from. The reason I admire this is I believe he is showing ALL of us even though one of your parents left you at a young age, as well as MOST Americans, does NOT mean you dismiss or deny your heritage. Now a days people can tell (well, sometimes) where they came from however they do NOT KNOW THEIR HERITAGE, OTHER HERITAGES OR WHAT IT MEANS. I find that extremely sad! Which can bring me to how our education system needs to change in so many, many ways and I will speak of that at another time.
It also shows not only the U.S. and the rest of World, not to be ashamed of the clothes one wears according to their heritage. Most importantly, it demonstrates RESPECT and I personally believe the U.S. needs a BIT more of that once again, including the government. Some how we have lost that along the way and I believe RESPECT amongst all of us would make such a MAJOR difference, especially with our children.
Now I will move on to other topics:
H. Clinton and the topic of healthcare, Barack has stated H. Clintons’ healthcare mandates everyone in the U.S.A. MUST HAVE her plan AND WE the people MUST PAY for it. Barack and H.C. had a debate the other night and they continued to speak about this extremely important healthcare issue, it was a back and forth for a while during this debate. I ask; WHY DID SHE NOT SPEAK OF Barack Obama’s statement regarding her healthcare proposal (which he has stated on more than one occasion) at THAT VERY MOMENT? Yet, she was “EXPLAINING” her position today by saying (more or less) THAT IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE. America, besides that all have to pay with her healthcare do some research on Canada’s universal healthcare and you will understand H. Clinton’s plan.
As for NAFTA, H.Clinton -- PLEASE!, since she was “Co-President” then THE Clinton’s ARE at fault for America’s job loss. Just, so everyone knows she supports NAFTA! Look at China and then this government AND the media have the audacity to speak ill of China, when it has been our government allowing ALL of this to happen in EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD. Then again, our government has a tendency to do that with so many other Countries!
Regarding the media and Barack, H.C. said something to the effect that the media and Saturday Night Live are giving him a free ride. I personally believe that if it were to be H. Clinton winning 11 in a row, the media would probably be losing its’ mind speaking so much more about “her” wins. I also believe he has not received enough Kudos from the media, think about it Barack Obama has won 11 in a row! I am not surprised, I think the media should have reported more on this as opposed to covering H. Clinton AND B.Clinton simply moving on and strongly suggesting the States Barack has won do not mean anything. America, are you seeing thru B. Clinton AND H.Clinton’s RHETORIC, HYPOCRISY, AND, LIES? Frankly I am appalled at the way the Clinton’s make light of the States she has lost as if WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN MATTER!
H.C. stated yesterday; "I could stand up here and say 'Let's just get everybody together. Let's get unified. The sky will open! The light will come down! Celestial choirs will be singing! And everyone will know we should do the right thing and the world will be perfect!' Maybe I've just lived a little long, but I have no illusions about how hard this is going to be. You are not going to wave a magic wand and have the special interests disappear!" Forgive me for asking but how old are you 13, 14 years old and that as well is probably an insult to some 13 and 14 year olds. As for your comment on waving a magic wand and the special interests will disappear. Well H.C. YOU WOULD KNOW ABOUT THAT NOW, WOULDN’T YOU! Such SARCASM and NEGATIVITY flowing out of your mouth and your husbands, frankly I find it utterly ridiculous, pitiful and a bit sad.
As for “Co-President” during B. Clinton’s time in office, I never new our government had a Co-President. When did that happen? A Vice-President yes however V.P. Al Gore, was hardly seen nor heard during his time in office so then I ask what were YOUR DUTIES as “Co-President”. While you are thinking about this, PLEASE, PLEASE stop repeating the same (35 years experience – NOT in Politics). SHOW us what YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED as “Co-President”, and as Senator.
Lastly, as for Barack meeting with other Presidents, he said, he will make preparations prior to meeting them (yes without pre-conditions). Now I call that CHANGE, as opposed to turning away our so-called enemies and the government has had so many opportunities within these last few decades to speak with our “enemies” and they have been REJECTED (how humiliating and so sad).
I SUPPORT BARACK AND MICHELLE OBAMA COMPLETELY. This gifted man is here for many reasons, he is NOT AFRAID of a NEW APPROACH, NOT AFRAID of CHANGE, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, HE WANTS TO UNITE ALL OF US making AMERICA and the WORLD a better place. I am all for it, Barack I thank you for beginning to unite Our Beautiful Country and I can only imagine how far “WE” will go with you as President and Michelle as First Lady.

Just when you thought you had a grasp on Barack's heritage, we find out in a piece that ran in The Spoof, that there may be more to Barack Obama's lineage than meets the eye.
According to the article (click on the link above for the complete story), "It seems that Barack Obama has Irish roots after all, not just like Kennedy, Reagan, and Clinton, but better, thus making him eminently suitable to be a President."
