Most times a 3.5% increase in GDP would be considered remarkable, after so many quarters of negative growth. GDP comprises three components...Consumption, Investment and Government. Unfortunately for the economy, consumer spending and private investment remain negative. The growth is all in the government sector. There has never been real economic stimulus from govenment spending. The stimulus is no different. When we experience economic growth spurred on by consumer spending and investment, then it will be time to celebrate.
Government spending only takes money from the private economy, where it can do long-lasting good and moves it into unporductive, government-mandated channels, which do not grow the economy and distort the market. It's time to give up on this ridiculous economic policy and adopt real pro-growth policies that respect the history, traditions and econoomy of the United States of America.
"Many people took out loans they were never going to be able to afford, never! That means somebody knew from day one they were never going tobe able to pay back the loans." The bankers approved these loans and used the money to pay themselves bonuses and payed our government representatives to look the other way…that’s where we are…any suggestions for getting us out of the mess are welcome…but if you just want to play the blame game…where does that get us?

RICHMOND
A phony State Board of Elections flier advising Republicans to vote on Nov. 4 and Democrats on Nov. 5 is being circulated in several Hampton Roads localities, according to state elections officials.
In fact, Election Day, for voters of all political stripes, remains Nov. 4.
The somewhat official-looking flier - it features the state board logo and the state seal - is dated Oct. 24 and indicates that "an emergency session of the General Assembly has adopted the follwing (sic) emergency regulations to ease the load on local electorial (sic) precincts and ensure a fair electorial process."
The four-paragraph flier concludes with: "We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but felt this was the only way to ensure fairness to the complete electorial process."
No emergency action has been taken by the General Assembly. It is not in session and lacks the authority to change the date of a federal election.
State Board of Election officials today said they are aware of the flier but disavowed any connection to it.
"It's not even on our letterhead; they just copied the logo from our Web site," said agency staffer Ryan Enright, noting the flier has been forwarded to State Police for investigation as a possible incident of voter intimidation.
Election officials did not specify in which Hampton Roads localities the flier had been spotted.
State Police are aware of the complaint and are looking into it, said spokeswoman Corinne Geller.
In 2007, the General Assembly passed a law making it a Class 1 misdemeanor to knowingly communicate false information to registered voters about the date, time and place of the election or voters' precincts, polling places or voter registration statuses in order to impede their voting. The measure is one of the few such deceptive voting practice laws in the country, according to the watchdog group Common Cause.

When will Obama fill out his suit? I've yet to hear one example of his Executive experience. Running his own campaign was mentioned by a few pundits in the tank for Obama, but that is not true.
Campaign managers manage and run campaigns. Candidates do not.
Again I ask.. aside from running for president since the day he arrived in Washington.. what has Obama ever MANAGED? He did not even buy his own freakin' house and relied upon a huckster to get that done!
Mr. and Mrs. McCain are so phony and plastic, They have to make up stories so we can relate to them.If McCains want to know who's more Britney and Paris, they should look in the mirror. They attack and accuse O-Bama of things they are guilty of. So low and digusting.
Please read and pass it on.

Wow. This is a blockbuster. It is almost like the Sniper Fire Story from Hillary Clinton.
I don't know if it is true, but it seems true.
It seems that McCain copied Christmas story about a guard drawing a cross in the sand with a (stick or sandal -- the story differs) from someone who he admired, Russian author Alexander Solzhenitsyn who wrote "The Gulag Archipelago".
Just a refresher, here is the commercial he made in December 2007.

Here is a link to the story that brought this to my attention.

McCain returned from Vietnam in 1973. This Russian author's work was published in the US in 1973, but according to John McCain was finished in 1968. Moreover, McCain wrote a 17 page story in US News & World reports in 1973 that did not mention this story at all. When you read this article, you will see that McCain is writing with great depth and detail about his experience. It's amazing that the story of the guard who so helped him make it through is somehow not mentioned.
Here is the link to the article written by John McCain in US News & World Reports in 1973:

However, many years later McCain, who is a big fan of Alexander Solzhenitsyn and who he wrote about in his book "The Hard Call: The Art of Great Decisions" incorporates many of the facts Solzhenitsyn cross story for his own. McCain's book is excerpted in an article in the NY Sun Times.
Here is the link to the Article in the NY Sun Times where McCain praises Solzhenitsyn and dates when his work was complete.

This is not the first time that McCain contradicts his prior story about what happened in Vietnam. Remember, McCain not to long ago went to Pennsylvania and told a crowd that he gave the names of the starting defensive line Pittsburgh Steelers when pressed for names of other soliders by the Vietnamese, when in his memoirs he stated that it was the offensive line Green Bay Packers. (Oddly enough, in his 17 page article with all of the detail that he gives regarding his experience and stating that he only gives his name, rank, and serial number immediately after his capture, he doesn’t mention the Green Bay Packers story either.)
Here is the video where he changes his story regarding the Green Bay Packers:

It's one thing to exaggerate about the giving info to the Vietnamese how strong you were in facing torture. It's another thing to lie about your Christian experience to get an advantage for political gain. To lie about God is reprehensible. If this is true, we need to pray for this man. This is not honorable. And he needs to repent and confess his lies.
Well, we need to pray for him whether it's true or not, but it might be a different prayer.
-McCain has a pretty cool website for being computer illiterate'- CNN
Yeah McCain's website is starting to get some rather familiar features. A lot of them strikingly similar to our Obama page. They've copied the point system, the blogs just about everything that this site has, except the awesome blue and attractive logo. That's all us still :) wait...oh shit its blue too! Gah!!
That's just not cool man...he had to take the blue...oie. This is actually rather pathetic, but congrats to the Obama Tech guys- they came up with a site that's so cool the idea had to be taken by the other guys.
McCain is a fake and a copy cat...god why do my parents have to be voting for him >_<....
Just to make you smile! I was thinking today, that if we chose which candidate was the elitist on their chose of drink.......................................Hillary would WIN Hands down.
BE SURE EVERYONE WATCHES THE ABC debate WEDNESDAY NIGHT. BARACK SHOULD SHINE ABOVE HILLARY, NO MATTER WHAT SHE THROWS AT HIM. I AM SURE WE WILL HEAR THE WORD "BITTER" AT LEAST ONCE.
I FOUND IT INTERESTING WHILE WATCING MSNBC TONIGHT, THAT SEVERAL OF THE HOSTS WERE COMMENTING ON HILLARY MOST LIKELY NOT RECEIVING THE GORE SUPPORT AFTER REFERING TO HIM AS AN ELITIST.
I ENJOYED THE CLIPS ALSO OF BARACK CALLING HER ANNIE OAKLY AND JOKING ABOUT HER BEING IN A "DUCK BLIND".
I NEVER USED TO THINK SHE WAS SO PHONY, BUT WATCHING HER THROUGH THIS ELECTION JUST ILLUSTRATES WHAT A TRUE FAKE SHE CAN BE.
HE HAS SUCH A SPECIAL AND ACTUALLY "CUTE" WAY OF TAKING A LITTLE SWING AT HER AND NOT COME OFF LOOKING LIKE HE IS ATTACKING HER.
Eye'll try a more wise approach, & see the fact over fiction, regarding keen reason US is not ready for Obama as leader.
Reasons Eye put this message out:
Eye believe something as great as he, just might be must be not true.
Actions speak louder than words and to be politically correct Obama has little to none expierence in white house. So before we have him be the one to call the action, letys ask him how. How he will do all that he has said he will do.
The following March 4, 2008 article by Brooks Jackson and Joe Miller of FactCheck.org' provides details of two misleading ads run by Sen. Clinton's newly establsihed 527 group called; The American Leadership Project. It details how the ads misrepresents the facts differentiating Clinton's and Obama's Health Care Plans. For additional information on ALP please read my previous post.
March 4, 2008Independent pro-Clinton group misrepresents us in one ad and uses a misleading blurb in another.SummaryThe American Leadership Project, an independent group raising large donations to support Clinton, is running two ads in Texas praising her health care plan. One misrepresents what FactCheck.org said about her plan. Another plucks a positive phrase, movie review-style, from a decidedly mixed analysis. The first ad says FactCheck.org said that "Hillary Clinton's healthcare plan would help every American get affordable, quality health care" while Obama's plan would leave millions without coverage. What we actually said is that Clinton's plan also "would leave out a million people or perhaps more."The second ad quotes The Washington Post as saying Clinton's plan "beats anything else out there." It could also have quoted the same article by a business columnist as saying that her plan contains features that are "bad tax policy and bad health policy" and that she was presenting her plan as "the health-care equivalent of a free lunch."AnalysisWord got out late last month that a new, independent group had formed to raise money from Hillary Clinton's supporters in amounts too large for her campaign to accept directly. Although the group had reportedly planned to raise $10 million by the end of February, The American Leadership Project had been silent since posting a sample ad on YouTube, leading some to wonder whether the contributions had failed to materialize. Now, two ads have begun running in Texas, hitting the airwaves just hours before the start of voting in the March 4 primary there. And we find both worthy of criticism. The first ad says that the difference between Hillary Clinton's and Barack Obama's health care plans is that Clinton's "would help every American get affordable, quality health care," while Obama's "would leave as many as 15 million Americans uncovered." It cites our Feb. 14 article as the authority. But that's a distortion of what we actually said.In fact, both Clinton and Obama would "help every American" by making subsidized coverage available to low-income persons and also, they claim, by reducing health care costs and insurance premiums. The major difference is that Clinton proposes a personal mandate that would require all individuals to obtain coverage, while Obama proposes a mandate only for children. As a result, it's likely that more people would be covered by Clinton's plan. We quoted independent experts who predict that Obama's plan would leave out 15 million or more who would choose to go without coverage, but we also said that even Clinton's mandate "would leave out a million people or perhaps more, depending on how severe the penalties would be for those who don't comply." Clinton won't specify how tough those penalties might be."...Travolta is as smooth as ever..."The second ad includes a graphic that says, "Clinton health care plan: 'beats anything else out there' - Washington Post, 9/19/07." In fact, that's not an editorial statement from the newspaper itself; it's a phrase from a review headlined "A Healthy Dose of Hillary" by Post business columnist Steven Pearlstein. Furthermore, this reminds us of the (actual) Hollywood movie blurb we used at the top of this section. The reviewer really said that "although Travolta is as smooth as ever, the picture is a bust."
