Great that he's got in, let's hope he isn't totally overwhelmed by the great expectations being placed upon him.
Everyone has to remember that there's only so much that American voters will allow.
the new leader of our nation, Barack Obama is going to make our lives less difficult as we each utilize future plans - to decrease detrimental health problems, strained budgets, and criticism of our elected benefactor of Change!!!
I am so pleased that our president's overview of Change can become the best phase for all of us. It makes me proud that leadership is leading instead of following, fumphering, and failing to develop new strategies. In retrospect this new Obama leadership is honest, identifying misspoked ideas, during the campaign trail. There are rare moments in our lifetime that a president had corrected errors, on a major campaign platform - that many voters accepted as 'the last word.'
So - I may not be able to participate in government activity, to guide and to lead others; however, my day to day conversations with others includes at least my sincere belief that this is going to be the best nation in world, once again, through unified and joint-efforts of all Americans. And I also believe that our new First Lady Michelle Obama is going to be a superb White House meeter and greeter, to world leaders; she just might create a friendly environment for them as she becomes more secure within the museum-like domain. I sure hope that the 'poopy-puppy' gets the best house in the country with the finest masters (or should I say: misses's). The daughters in our Obama household will thrive and grow more responsibly, in the role of caregivers to their promised 'puppy' and Americans can feel assured they will not become lost in the politic lifestyle.

We are a small global family that comes from Africa, Asia, and Europe. We believe that an American president has an important impact on the whole world and not only the US. We are global citizens who are being affected by the global situation which the US plays an important role in it. We hope for a global change that can bring the missing peace justice and prosperity to the globe and not only to the US. We hope for a responsible and honest leadership that works for the sake of people at large and not only for the sake of corporations and politicians.
We congratulate Obama for the inauguration and wish him and his team all success for a mission that we consider to be "A New Global Hope for a Better World".

A congratulatory event for the election of the US president was also held in the virtual world, Second Life.
Yesterday, on November 5, an event to congratulate the election of the US president was held in Second Life, a virtual reality world.
Kang Hyun-woo, the head of Second Life in South Korea and owner of Joywindkorea, was in charge of planning the recent event, and stated that the event was held as netizens in Korea showed great interest in the US presidential election and in order to enhance friendly relations between South Korea and the US.
Moreover, he remarked that the two countries have profound and close relations not only in military and diplomatic ties but also in various fields, and forecasted that the friendly relations between South Korea and the US will not change after the US presidential election.
In the cyber event, held from 21:00 to 22:00 on November 5, approximately 120 netizens from overseas as well as South Korea took part, and the event began with an opening speech that was given by the avatar of President Lee Myung-bak of South Korea.
President Lee stated that he hoped with the election of a president that the American people had desired, the current financial crisis suffered globally will be resolved and the US will enjoy an even more peaceful era.
Also, at an outdoor auditorium located within Korea Town of the virtual world, an event which revived the whole process of the US presidential election was held.
At the campaign venue, the avatars of both presidential candidates, Obama and McCain, appeared and announced their election pledges and had a heated discussion in the presidential candidates' debate on various pending issues.
Afterwards, the residents of Second Life made virtual votes.
The result was 21% : 2%, with Obama receiving support that greatly exceeded support for McCain.
After the vote ended, President-elect Obama gave his acceptance speech and had a Q&A session on the future directions of national administration with the netizens.
Also, a lotto drawing was conducted among participants of the event.
Meanwhile, a personnel from KoreanBlog.com, a famous blog site in South Korea which sponsored the recent event, gave the closing speech and expressed his sincere hopes for the US to successfully overcome the current global financial crisis by voting for the candidate that the American people truly wants to elect as president.
In particular, he remarked that he hoped the bilateral relations between South Korea and the US, which was restored after the Lee Myung-bak administration, would develop even further in a win-win direction.
In addition, a personnel from the US division of Second Life said that the virtual world is now expanding into a new social space, and went on to predict that it won't be long before the virtual world will be recognized as the 51st state, enabling its residents to directly take part in voting for the US president just as the other 50 states.

What a wonderful day for America and the world! We have a reason to HOPE, to BELIEVE, to be EXCITED again! I am SO proud of our President-Elect, of our nation, and of its citizens! This is what America is supposed to BE...this is the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave...a nation of ideals and hope and opportunity where ANYONE can grow up to be ANYTHING...including the President of these United States of America!
Do you feel the shift in the atmosphere? Do you feel the changes? It may sound a bit "cosmic" or unusual to you, but if it helps, think of it as a huge orchestra playing together and all the sections building together toward a grand finale. This is the power of our hopes, desires, and dreams coming together in unison that will cause the essence of the whole of the universe to respond positively. It is all here...the UNI (one) VERSE (song)...the single united song is beginning and we are finally joining in together to sing along.
President Obama, we pledge that we will continue to stand with you, to fight with you, and to come together as Americans so that this nation will again live up to its full potential. We will make exceptions for each other, we will find our national and civic pride and happily wear it on our sleeves again, we will work to find reasons to come together, to find points on which we agree and build on them, and we will prefer each other and build each other up; we will all work hard to get along and to truly be and to stay united, and to accept other points of view as valid even if we do not hold the same view. Whatever we can do to help, we will do. We will continue our support and not leave you alone to fight for what is right and for the change that is needed. We will help by continuing our involvement in the process, by contacting our legislators to support issues with which we agree...we know that our job, too, has only just begun.
What a great day to be alive...a great day to live in this, our Beloved Community. God Bless You, President Obama, and God Bless America!
This is truly a historical event at so many levels.
A president to believe in... an individual who acts on behalf of the people, for the people! Despite the awful slanderous statements made by those who opposed... despite the racial and religious prejudices that are still apparent in our country... despite the many other challenges that Barack Obama faced throughout this presidential election campaign...
He made it!! We made it!!
(This is the first time in my voting history that the canidate I cast my vote for... WON!!)
CONGRATULATIONS BARACK OBAMA!!!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!
My best thoughts to Barack Obama and the Obama family.
Be blessed with Kindness, Compassion, and safety to you all.
wow we did it! it was a lot of work but i am so happy I helped work on this campaign and that we elected Obama as president! Congratulations Obama and your family, all the great supporters, your great team, and America!
I hope this will not be the end of bottom up unity! I hope Obama will find a way to keep his supporters conected to his presidency and policy service.
I came home from the polls last evening -- exhausted but knowing that my energy would be revived once I began seeing the results come in...and, WE WON! Oh, my God! WE WON! All the talking, and walking, and calling, hoping and praying...it all paid off. I am just so glad to be alive to see this day and will honor the sacrifices that all my ancestors have made that came before me. Those who were not even counted as human beings -- let alone citizens. Now, their suffering and death has been vindicated. As President-Elect Obama spoke last night, in my spirit, I could feel my parents crying and rejoicing. He stood for every black man who had been beaten down or lynched over the past 200 years. He spoke not just for every black person who had no voice -- but for every sick and homeless child and every refugee who has run for safety in an abandoned stretch of nowhere land, for every heart that had lost hope.
I am grateful that I could hear and the words will ring over and over in my mind. I truly hope that those words will rise up and bless you whenever you need to know that you too, should run on again and again as you too can win. You have what it takes when you have the love and concern for your people at heart. I am so very happy for Kenya and Kenyans and will work to do all in my power to use Peace Of the World International to bring whatever we can bring to the table. Aside from my personal love for Kenya, POWI is my gift to that segment of the Obama peace campaign.
Hope + work = success! Congratulations to all of us!
To find out more about Peace of the World International, visit http://www.peaceoftheworld.org and write to us if you have questions or would like to join us as we are going to Kenya in February, 2009.
