I would like to see a political ad that says:
If you want Wall Street to collapse
If you want higher gas prices
If you want your kid killed in Iraq
If you want your privacy invaded
If you want unwanted people to listen to your phone calls
If you want your government mismanaged
If you want dishonest government officials
If you want incompetent cronies to run the government
Then Vote For John McCain
The Democrats have to start slashing back. You guys are too tame!!!!
Through this campaign ad, released by McCain, McCain would like you to believe that Obama has as he says, "only one accomplishment" and that is, in McCain's words, Obama's (gasp!) "legislation to teach comprehensive sex-education to kindergarteners." "
Learning about sex before learning to read?" the ad says. "Barack Obama. Wrong on education. Wrong for your family." The Truth -- Not McCain's Lies McCain, must again, think the American people are stupid, creating a campaign ad built on nothing but shameful lies. Let's run through the facts:
Why Obama Supported The Legislation in 2003
Rather than attacking Obama, McCain should be praising Obama for taking a stand to protect America's children. The statistics show that one out of every three to four girls has been sexually assaulted by the age of 18 and one boy out of every six will be abused by the age of 18. With over 491,720 registered sex offenders in the United States (with 80,000 to 100,000 of them currently missing) and the standard pedophile committing 117 sexual crimes in their lifetime, we should be thankful that there is someone out there like Obama that is able to recognize the importance of making children aware enough to recognize if they are being sexually abused. Clearly, McCain left all of this information out of the ad; you can't exactly vilify Obama when he is out to help parents that choose for thier kids to learn how to identify and protect themselves from possible sexual predators, can you?
Why Did McCain Make This Ad?
McCain has said that the Obama campaign is desperate, but the McCain campaign released this baseless ad just hours after Obama gave a speech on education and offered proposals that would have appealed to Republicans. Obama promised to double funding for charter schools, pay teachers based on performance and replace those who aren't up to the job -- guess that was too much for McCain to handle, so he had to make up this ad.
How You Can Help
McCain's ad will air in parts of Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri and Wisconsin, as well as on the Discovery channel -- please send this blog entry to everyone possible to that we can disarm McCain's despicable ad before it gains any traction. Let's show McCain and Palin that community organizers can work together to bring to light the package of lies they keep dropping at the American people's feet.
Although I enjoyed Barack Obama's recent web ad "Embrace" (the one with lots of hugging between Bush and McCain), I still think the campaign needs to be a little harsher. The idea of a continuation of Bush policies into a third term should be scary, not playful. Furthermore, I think it's important to emphasize that McCain has been "doubling down" on Bush's policies at the same time the rest of the nation (and world) has been abandoning them.
I created the following ad today to illustrate the kind of concept I'd like to see Obama's team try:
I was reminded of a Saturday Night Live sketch that Senator John McCain did back in 2002 last night on The Verdict with Dan Abrams. McCain tried to start a singing career.
He wasn’t bad to be honest but the one song he partially sang gave me the idea of great idea for a campaign ad.

Note: Sen obama would never stoop to the level of Sen McCain campaign ads. However, I had a funny thought that an independent film maker (third party) would do the following below.
Starring Tim Conway as John McCain
Starring Jim Carey or a famous TV prsonaility playing Jay Leno
The scene is a game show or something like Jay Leno jaywalk allstars. Or are you smarter than a fifth grader.
Note: Sen McCain is known to make mistakes about the geography and the different fractions of the Iraqi government.
Game show host: What countries Borders Iraq?
Tim Conway: France
Game show host: That is wrong Sen Mccain the correct answers is.......
Game show host: Which of the following is the King of Jordan: Jordan Sparks, Abdallah the second or Michael Jordan?
Tim Conway: Oh that's easy...Michael Jordan!
Game show host: I am sorry, that is incorrect...of the two which one is the King of Jordan?
Tim Conway: Okay Jordan Sparks
Game show host: that is wrong, the correct answer is King Abdallah the second.
Tim Conway: Oh Karrem Abdull Jabar, I thought he was a basketball player.....

There can be a series of these ads that hit the web. Sen Obama has a lot of Hollywood support so it should be easy to find good actors.
You know those Mac vs. PC ads that Apple runs? I think our campaign should put out a spoof of that ad wherein Obama plays the Mac guy and an actor portraying McCain plays the PC guy. I think this could really work:
OBAMA: Hello, I'm Barack Obama!
McCAIN (trembling, scratching head): And I'm John McCain.
OBAMA: You look a little confused...
McCAIN: Well, I keep changing my positions so often that I can't keep track of them anymore...
I had to laugh at Hillary's new ad in PA about Barack's Bitter comments. Somehow we need to turn this into a positive message. So far I've read a million comments from people on blogs and here about how bitter we are and why Obama is right. American's are discontented. The polls show our unhappiness level somewhere in the 70+ percentage points. I mean that is a lot of bitter people.
Im bitter because of X
I have hope because of Y
I don't know...there's a political ad in here that rocks. Somehow.
Maybe some creative genious can take the idea and work it into something dynamic. But Hillary getting a few of those 20+/1 happy supporters to say they were offended at Baracks comments was lame. I think we can do one better. About being bitter and not going to take it anymore. Ideas?
Isn't Move on.org doing some kind of competition for an ad?
Oh and I did see Barack's ad in response but it lacked something. At least, I think I saw something. I watch so much Obama stuff sometimes it all bleeds together.
Camp Clinton released her first PA ad. Other than a single token black shown for a fraction of a second, there were no minorities visible in the middle class that she claimed to be fighting so hard for. Instead, it was white guys in the factory, older white guys and women, and the obligatory fawning over a baby (also white), etc.
Is Pennslyvania really that lily white? I'm from New York, and that sort of thing would never fly around here.
