Congratulations Mr President. I am certain you will be able to complete more tasks, mend more bridges and help more people than most other men who have served our country as President of the United States. I wish you a clear mind a full heart and a light soul. In times of frustration I wish you loving support silent and strong. In times of celebration I wish we all are able to rejoice together, and in times of sorrow may you be blessed to continue on with love in your heart.
Mr. President I believe in you. I believe that you are strong minded and humble. I believe that you will put country before self and humans before all. I believe that you are a gift to our country, one we should cherish. I believe that we are also a gift to you one I know you will cherish.
As the father of our country I could not think of anyone else in these times to be better suited.
God speed Mr. President
The most famous and great Presidential speeches of all time have been included in this collection of famed Presidential speeches. They include the most persuasive speeches by topics. Many speeches to the freedom of speech. American Presidents are numbered in the World's greatest and most persuasive speakers. The famed orations ands oratory skills of Presidents Washington, Lincoln and JFK are outstanding. They constitute some the most powerful Presidential speeches ever made in America. The topics of Presidential speeches vary according to situations but the most famous Presidential speeches relate to times of crisis.Yet, some things are asked, told, pleaded, or forced in times of peace and some of these things may never be solved. I am Joe the Plummer, I am an Average Joe. I am a young adult who would like to talk about the political issues on my mind. Three topics cross my mind when i write this, those are : Education, Equality, Essential needs. The three E's if you would like to call it.
Education is very important it is the ground work for America's future. It teaches our children acedemic knowledge but other things too.Like how to be a leader, how to ask questions and how to find awnsers to those questions. I attend school in Clark County Nevada. I am not going to lie about how great my school is. I believe we are very behindin our learning. I have no experince in other states or even counties so i can't speak for everyone. The "No Child Left Behind" is bringing to many people back. It is not the schools fault if the child does not learn. By lowering the standards to meet everybodys needs is rediculous. Alot of my peers dont learn anything becuase everything is so below. I say raise the standards the kids that dont make them dont give up, dont make them repeat a grade send them off to the next grade and let them get on with their lives. As for budgets stop paying the heads of the districts and pay the schools. At my School we have cut the many differnt things, cut back on supplies other things like that just to balence things out. If you want your children to succeed do somthing about the education. Even just volunteering at a school can make a differnce. If you see a problem start with your self, then your family, then your friends, then your cominity then go beyond that and try to solve the problem.
Equality, that is a big topic to talk about. Let me start by saying the first immigrants came to America for two reasons : Religous Freedom and Economic freedom. They wanted to be away from the people who forced them away from things they wanted to do. History repeats its self over and over again someone or a group of people think somthing is unfair and they do somthing about it. Thats exactly what i want to do. Exactly for that same reason of Religous Freedom i believe that Religoin shouldnt be brought into the government. Like President Bush's proposal to end homosexual marrige. People get married all the time, I live in Las Vegas people come here to get married all the time. But is it fair that two men or two woman cant get married? No its not i know lifes not fair but for a country that wants to make everything fair i belive that should be changed. Some things have changed but it took a long time. almost 200 years after the America became its own country we had our first African American President. Almost 100 years till Women got their rights. Everything must change. if you are the most hard headed to the most open minded person you got to admit that things need to change.
Essentail needs, health insurance, a house, a job. all these things people need to surivive in this fast paced country. We are in hard times. alot of these things are really hard to get if you dont already have them and if you do already have them its harder to keep them. People are natural jealous. Rich people buy big cars and homes so the middle class try to keep up but end up getting flipped upside down. Many are homeless, many are jobless, and many are sick but cant pay hospital bills. we need to change things.so if you do believe like i do please help out. Try your best get things going try to to turn us around. We've been through tough times before but we've made through them. we will do it agian.once all our troops are out of iraq things will turn around just like in the depression. I'masking you to believe. not just in my ability to bring about real vhange in Washington...T'm asking you to believe in yours ~ Barack Obama
"I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies; education and culture for their minds; and dignity, equality and freedom for their spirits. I believe that what self-centered men have torn down, other centered men can build up."
--- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Jewish and Arab Neighbors Hold Hands for Peace Last Saturday 300 Jews and Arabs from the Wadi Ara region of Israel demonstrated against the harming of innocent civilians in Gaza and the surrounding Israeli region. The rally was organized by NIF grantee Awareness for You, which runs empowerment courses for Arab women in the village of Kfar Kara.
"I only expected about 90 people to attend the rally," explained Amna Ka'anana, "so I was surprised when we had 300 people all dressed in white and holding olive branches, about half and half Jews and Arabs. Many of the drivers who passed by, both Jews and Arabs, called out their support."
In addition to being a forum to voice concern over the conflict in Gaza, the rally was also an opportunity for the Jews and Arabs of Wadi Ara to come together. Among the many banners, one carried by an Arab read "Neighbors call for peace," while another carried by a Jew said "Jews and Arabs hand in hand."
Ka'anana said: "We sent a message of peace and coexistence to all of Wadi Ara, to all of Israel and to the entire world."
Ka'anana, who is an Orthodox Muslim, received NIF's London-Yaari Scholarship in 2007 for her work in women's empowerment. Last year she received the Knesset Speaker's Prize for Quality of Life.
When the fighting erupted in Gaza last month, she feared that the tensions could spill over into violent conflicts between Jews and Arabs in Wadi Ara. She invited several dozen Jewish and Arab activists to her home to discuss the situation, and they hit upon the idea of the Shabbat rally.
"I have always wanted to initiate social activities that bring Jews and Arabs together," explained Ka'anana, "so that we can understand one another's culture. Now the war has taken matters in a different direction. At the end of last week's rally many people started crying and that started me crying."
The rally ended with Jewish and Muslim prayers. Awareness for You plans similar peaceful rallies, with increased expected turnout, every Shabbat while the fighting continues.

When asked by FRANKLIN GRAHAM whether Barack believed Jesus is the only way to salvation, Barack eloquently stated, ‘Jesus is the only way for me. I’m not in a position to judge other people.
It is the duty for every believer to help reconcile this nation and this world. To do this we must first reconcile ourselves as children of the Eternal Spirit, and reconcile ourselves as brothers and sisters in faith.
Ancient Tribal Belief - NATIVE SPIRITUALITY
Rather than going to religious services, we attend a sweat lodge; rather than accepting bread from the priest, we smoke a ceremonial pipe to come into communion with the Eternal Spirit; and rather than kneeling with our hands placed together in prayer, we have sweet grass feathered over our entire being for spiritual cleansing and allow the smoke to carry our prayers into the heavens. - Mi'kmaq
And in that day it shall be that living waters shall flow from Jerusalem, half of them toward the Dead Sea and half of them toward the Mediterranean Sea; In both summer and winter it shall occur. And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be - The Lord is one, and His name one. - Zechariah
Therefore if anyone be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new. And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To know, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the message of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray for you in Christ's stead, you be reconciled to God. For He has made Him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. - Paul

What just happened? It wasn't until this afternoon that I got quiet and fully absorbed it. I shed some tears and got inspired. I allowed myself to be feel like an American - to feel at home here. Last night around midnight I hung an American flag that my cousin gave me as a house warming gift last year. Our flag post is mounted in the center front of our craftsman porch. I was saving that flag to see if the day would come when I truly felt like hanging it. It came last night.
On so many levels, I felt a sense of hope for this democracy - a word I have scarcely uttered in my adult life. I related completely to Michelle's "controversial" comment months ago that this was the first time in her adult life that she felt proud to be American. For the first time, I felt like this democracy could be real, and it could truly be for everyone. We, all the voters, for Obama and McCain, owned it yesterday. McCain gave the best speech of his entire campaign last night, and I believed him. Maybe "that one" truly is "the One". I know he is truly special, and he is making many of us look up and examine our spirituality.
I saw people happily standing in long lines yesterday morning - unhurried and unconcerned about getting to work or school late. A young AA man emerged with a huge grin on his face waving a large American flag. Though we all knew nearly 100% of DC would go for Obama (96% actually), he looked as if he believed his vote mattered - and it did. Our leader made everyone feel as if their participation matters, and so we did our duty. Now we dare to hope on many levels. We dare to believe that anything is possible, that anyone can achieve whatever they imagine, that there are ways out of bad situations, and that good things come to people who act with intelligence, discipline, class, and self-respect in the midst of ignorance, chaos, crudeness, and disrespect.
Amazingly, I believe that he will continue to improve American democracy and ideals, and inspire us to be our best as individuals and as a nation. I believe many people will be further convinced that they have more to do, to help find and implement solutions to our many challenges. We will look upon them as our challenges, as opposed to his challenges. We will support him, and will trust him to lead us to collective resolve and action. Many have said today that if our new president leads this country the way he ran this campaign, we will be OK. I believe that. I saw with my own eyes (in person and online) the numbers of people who took ownership of this campaign. At our election night party last night, when they called Virginia and Pennsylvania, those who had contributed in those states cheered loudest. We hugged and patted ourselves on the back. I believe our new president will inspire us to do more of that as we pull ourselves out of the mess we're in.
I am truly on a natural high. and I don't wanna come down.
And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, OF BARACK, of Samson, of Jephthah; and David also, Samuel, and of the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.
Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: and others had test of cruel mockings and scourgings, yes, moreover of chains and imprisonment: they were stoned, they were cut in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered around in goatskins and sheepskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; Of whom the world was not worthy: they wandered in deserts, in mountains, in dens and caves of the earth.
And all these, having obtained a good report through faith, did not receive the promise:God having provided something better for us, that without us they would not be made perfect.

UPDATE: 44TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES and THE GOVERNMENT OF CHANGE
Why Obama will win this election:
America is thirsting and starving for integrity and truth and justice and to restore theoretical American values.
Every time the Republicans do something dumb his numbers go through the roof because people are getting sick of the BS. As an attorney working in the United States of America, Barack Obama knows that if someone accuses him of something, the burden of proof is on them to prove it out. He doesn't have to do anything or say a word. So, he sat back and watched those Republican piranha eat themselves alive. It's classic textbook legal courtroom know-how and savvy, true American-style.
I wish I had enough money to pay him to represent me in my own court case. I'd pay him a million-dollar retainer just from having watched him work in real life. Classic. Helluva lawyer.
He's even got trained volunteers all over the country (including Florida) positioned to watch the polls on Tuesday, along with the sheriff's, cops and lawyers in each polling precinct that were already assigned there. He was Ready on Day One. If that's not a man who would have been prepared to go into Afghanistan and kick bin Laden's asz and get the hell out without very much loss of life, I don't know who is.
Preparedness always matters -- and so does an exit plan.
He had this campaign mapped out when he threw his hat in the ring. I can tell it by the way he's run it and kept people inspired through two whole LONG years of one hellacious battle after another. He already knew what was coming, he prepared himself, his family, and his supporters, and argued his case before the people like a true American lawyer, betting on the fact that there are more people out here with a little money than the few who have a ton of money. He was right. Even that Andy Martin nutcase backwoods lawyer who challenged him on his Hawaiian birth certificate has GOT to know my now that Obama would knock him cold out in a courtroom, if he ever had the privilege. I mean McCain wasn't even born on US soil and not once has Obama asked for his LONG FORM birth certificate with a raised seal on it.
They've thrown everything at Obama's character and integrity BUT the kitchen sink and he's not even feeling it, at least not in public. He doesn't even have smoke billowing from the coals they tried to burn him with. Looks like America has finally gotten the message that racism doesn't work for ANY OF US, but our thanks go out to McCain, Palin, and especially to Hillary Clinton, for trying it out this election year, and to Obama for addressing it before it went too far with the only people who count. Those who are voting for him.
While the Rethuglicans were busy acting the asz over petty personal crap just because they could find no fault with him politically, he stayed fresh, low-key, focused and on-target...and he didn't let anyone or anything slip out of his razor-sharp aim while he was at it.
He's got the same staff he started off with--nearly zero fallouts, if any. He told people to vote early and vote absentee (basically, because they can choose where they want to vote AND because sheriff's, lawyers, law students, and policeman watch the count on the absentee ballots and "vote counters" are sequestered like jurors on an OJ Simpson trial during the entire process -- LOL!!! Theoretically, I could guess any number of reasons Obama told us to vote early and vote absentee, but that's another book for another time.)
In the meantime, McCain has had to start over with a new staff every 2-3 months. Nobody trusts him and his own people don't like him -OR- Sarah Palin. The people on McCain's OWN campaign call him a nutcase and called her a moose-killing "diva."
The man Obama did not go to law school for nothing and he's been as cool as a cucumber in spite of all the attacks. Whoever paid for his law degree, it was obviously worth every dime.
He just smiles and keeps rolling because he knows he's above reproach and has nothing to hide. What he is "hiding" someone made up just like those people who threw tainted evidence in OJ's trial in California and ended up killing their own case just for trying to be sneaky about it.
If Obama was hiding something, like Sarah Palin did with those governmental Yahoo emails, no one would be able to find it so easily. Yet, his record is right out there for anyone who has internet access and a newspaper or even an old dialer radio to see. That's why he doesn't respond to the attacks unless he has no choice: His whole attitude is 'check the record for your damn self, I've got a campaign to run'.
Funny how people use christianity to manipulate people, then don't act like christians after they get what they want form the idiots who are being played. That's proof positive that America wasn't a christian nation from Day One. However, getting back to my point here:
Not once did Mr. Obama ask to see John-boy's birth certificate, though McCain wasn't even born on American soil, period. Obama has worked in America all of his adult life, and has always paid his taxes here as a citizen, as well. He had to have his birth certificate and social security card to get a driver's license and do anything and everything else he has done as a US citizen, but that wasn't enough for them. He passed their OWN system of checks and balances; then just because he did, they had the audacity to challenge the crap THEY invented. His integrity in attacking McCain on issues ONLY speaks volumes.
The fact that he never once attacked McCain's personal character or his integrity as a man and a citizen of the USA has sent a long and wide viable and visible message to the people who support him, as well as those who weren't supporting him before who have now bailed on McCain.
It says a lot about a man's character when he can stay focused and on point and on message, with a few minor adjustments here or there--because Obama is 'finally' starting to sound like a broken record--which means he is at the closing stages of his argument that not only can America get back on track and fix this Republican-made mess; but yes, we can get past our racial and ethnic and religious differences and be the One America that we should always have been from the start. It's a good thing he sounds like a broken record these days: It means he never lost sight and never lost track of his original goals and intentions. In two years, he never once allowed himself to be side-tracked by the BS. True textbook application of legal theory. Argue your case directly to the jury and to hell with the judges--in the end, the people, the jury of peers, are the ones who get to decide. If OJ WAS guilty, Obama is the man who could have put him behind bars for life.
McCain on the other hand, changes his message depending on who he is talking to and what mood they are in at the moment. Obama stays on message and on point no matter who's yelling "terrorist" and McCain shifts his message depending ON who's yelling "terrorist."
Now, let's see McCain and Palin keep themselves above reproach like that at least until Tuesday: (my guess is, they can't. They started a hailstorm of racist activity by not addressing it from Day One and they have to stay with it or risk some more troublesome news in the next two days).
From what I, Ye Olde American Citizen, have seen so far and for the past two years, the only way they were GOING to take Obama down was if they had managed to rattle enough skeleton bones, dunk enough Klan-type boogey men, slam enough Netherworld coffin lids, and roll out enough short-sheeted ghosts to scare the hell out of everybody. Apparently, they didn't have enough money to buy all of their costumes, props and equipment for the season because they were too busy spending it on Sarah Palin's clothes.
Halloween's over.It's been real.
Time to move on and get down to the REAL business of electing a president.

While I support Barack and his success, I do not believe we need nor we should support the change Barack chose to bring to his campaign last July. Do you remember his announcement that he was "declaring indepencence" from his past support for accepting matching funds from tax payers who chose to allocate on their IRS 1040 form $3. to go the presidential campaign fund. I'm hoping to believe that you and I can influence fellow tax payers to check that box on their federal income tax form to contribute to the public pool of campaign funds. This money is clean of special influences, available to willing and qualifying candidates for president, and limits the (excessive) spending of participating presidential candidates.
Vote for Barack, check that box on your 1040, and tell future pres. candidates (including Barack) you expect them to take that public money and spending limits!
Today with so little time left and the top of the hill seeming within reach, yet we can’t seem the grasp that last rock. That rock that would propel us without a doubt the crest of our journey is within reach yet it eludes us. The road is hard but there is no turning back, not after we’ve come this far. The resounding chant of the mob that once mobilized me are now ringing in my head, “Yes We Can!” and all seems well
Yes We Can
You alone can determine what your future will be
End wars abroad and any local polarity
Show your preparedness, just take note
When you go to the polls remember how to vote
Elections Day is your first step up a treacherous hill
Change you can believe in needs your determine will
America your future will be decided with your singular choice
November 4, vote Obama and Yes We Can rejoice
For a change, when the clock alarmed at 5:30 - I got out of bed and stayed out.
For a change, I was in my car and enroute to Chester Pa at 6 am (the Sun didn't even think about saying good morning).
For a change, I was tolerant, patience and @ peace with the traffic.
For a change, I didn't mind the commute beyond Philadelphia International Airport.
For a change, I spoke to a young male teen to ask for direction.
For a change, I parked blocks from my destination and traveled in the rain.. the COLD...no FREEZING rain.
For a change, I complied to EVER rule listed on the OPPORTUNITY to attend today's rally.
For a change, I joined a line that had grown by 60 people within 10 min.
For a change, I smiled at strangers and welcomed them into conversations and learned the common denominator of THE DAY.
For a change, I didn't get annoyed when others thought it their RIGHT to cut the line and NOT wait as others. I simply walked around them and maintained my rightful place.
For a change, I smiled as I realized I could no longer feel my feet nor fingertips and resolved that TEA and Zicam would be the diet of the day.
For a change, I offered my space to those who couldn't see as well as I.
For a change, I covered my son in my poncho as the rain beat down in anticipation of HOPE.
For a change, I encouraged a sister to my left who was being "harassed" to put down her umbrella and reminded folks that we need to be about peace - not about disruption.
For a change, I stool since 7 am and didn't walk again until 11 am. And felt kisses from Heaven as my dreams were elevated to higher levels and HOPE filled the atmosphere.
For a change, I looked straight ahead and saw his smile, heard his passion, felt his sincerity and BELIEVED he not only COULD be Will.
For a change, I felt LIKE EVERYONE felt they could.
and
For a change, I didn't even raise an eyebrow when I heard on the radio as I journeyed back to New Jersey that palin had cancelled her rally due to the weather.
Interesting... we had the SAME weather... but with Barack - the Show went on.
Interesting.
For a change.
I can believe.
I am ecstatic at the thought of no more McCain/Bush White House! Yet I am not exactly overly thrilled about what Senator Obama and his campaign are standing for. Realizing running an election campaign means a bit of compromise and acceptance of positions not whole-heartedly agreeable, I have not heard one statement that new thinking could be a way for Palestinian and Israeli peace!
Sen. Obama and his campaign clearly and blindly support Israeli positions in the Palestinian conflict. Not one word of empathy for the Palestinian people's plight under apparent occupation from IDF. The daily checkpoint closures, the internationally recognized illegal settlements being constructed on Arab lands, the mutually agreed upon right of Gazan fishermen (fishing in their restricted waters ) being attacked and intimidated by Israeli Navy gunboats, et al.
Why is this not part of "CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN"? Repudiating the PATRIOT ACT (and the violations of our Constitutionally-protected rights) and using a reality-based approach to Middle East peace, alone, could make our country safer!
I urge all Obama supporters to view www.ifamericansknew.org to discover truths that we normally will not read or hear about. If you begin to see that conflict in broader terms and how important resolution would be for our own security, then you will feel the need to communicate to Senator Obama, holding him to his mantra: "A Change We Can Believe In"!
Sara Palin did not look bad at all during last night's debate - but I just can't get over her winking, 'gotcha', and casual attitude while debating. I wonder whether she realizes the importance of the position to which she has been nominated or whether she is still in moose hunting mode.
Biden - on the other hand - couldn't have done better - gaffe's or no gaffe's - the man is genuine and speaks from the heart - we need more people like him in the senate and in government - whom we can identify with and who will truly represent the people and constituents in Washington D.C
Change is coming........31 days more......
