Please tell me America isn’t this gullible. Why does John McCain feel that he can elect a woman as his VP and somehow level the playing field with Obama and Biden? I tell you this is dirty politics at its best and it tells you that John McCain thinks the average American is stupid...
Electing Sarah is like picking your little brother to play on your team because your mother told you to, or else! It’s like getting stuck with that fat kid with no athletic ability because there’s no one else left to choose from. If the republicans think that this somehow appeals to the female voters or the Hilary supporters; I have one thing to say.
They should be ashamed of themselves. This is a slap in the American face. Hilary not only proved through her career but also over the past months that she deserved to be in the race, deserved the 18 million votes, deserved to be a part of history. Let's not blemish this landmark in history with an Average Jo-Ann, just to make a point. Hilary has set the bar and let me tell you it's pretty darn high. Who ever takes the glory of being the first woman anything, should be well worth the hype.
America please don’t be fooled and fall for these ridiculous tricks of a suffering political group. Sarah Palin isn’t someone that will compliment as a counter balance to John McCain. This is just another crony of the republican system just thrown into a skirt, (I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t have a slew of pant suits).
I think a smart move would be for Barack to announce Hilary as his number three, and then brush the McCain camp under his red carpet where they belong.
Even though it may not look like it or feel like it, you are making progress.
Continue working towards progress instead of perfection.

Your response to our call for health care policy suggestions has been phenomenal. You've given us lots of intelligent suggestions, but more importantly, personal stories about the challenges you've faced with our current system and why you think it needs to change.
Here's a sampling.

Our family's story is not an uncommon one. Quite simply, the crushing cost of health insurance is a tremendous strain on our family's finances.My husband does not have access to insurance benefits. Although my employer offers health and dental insurance and pays a portion of the premium, for the past several years our out of pocket expense for our portion have been in excess of 20% of our pre-tax income. In addition, we have spent on average another 3% of our income on uncovered medical costs ( e.g. deductibles, prescriptions, and co-payments for office visits.)I investigated our options when NH launched it's very successful NH Heathy Kids program. I discovered that our income qualified us for the program and that we would have realized substantial savings by participating in the program. There was just one catch - our children didn't qualify because they were currently insured. I would have had to remove them from the family policy for a period of six months before I could enroll them in NH Healthy Kids.It was a dilemma. Our children were very healthy and active. They had always only needed to be seen for regular check-ups, vaccinations, and the occasional strep throat, etc. But, ultimately, we did not feel we could take the risk. An unforeseen illness or accident requiring expensive treatment would easily have bankrupted us.Stuck between a rock and a hard place, we continue to pay far more than we can afford. As a consequence, it makes it extremely difficult to establish any savings at all: for emergencies, for their college tuition, for our retirement. We are yet another working class family living on the edge.

I just have my story. I was involved in a five car pile-up on an interstate close to my home due to a driver that was stopped, for no reason, on that interstate. After this(which i was not charged and was only forced into the car ahead of me due to the impact from behind). I had terrible back pain and was unable to work. Now the healthcare issue I was under my parents health care and in order to stay on it I needed to be a full time student. So, unable to sit in class, I was forced to take 2 straight semesters of F's so i could retain my healthcare. There has to be a better way for people in my situation... Thank you for listening.
