By his OWN description of what makes someone a racist, HE'S A RACIST!
March 19, 2007
RUSH: These people are racists. You know, the racists in our society, Ted, are these white liberals. They're the ones that notice your skin color before anything else, and they're the ones deciding whose skin color is dark enough and therefore who's authentic enough and who's been down for the struggle. It's those people doing this. It's not me. It's not "talk radio."

RUSH : And for Barack Obama, a -- well, he's a half-minority --
January 24, 2007
RUSH: Hey, Barack Obama has picked up another endorsement: Halfrican American actress Halle Berry. "As a Halfrican American, I am honored to have Ms. Berry's support, as well as the support of other Halfrican Americans," Obama said. He didn't say it, but -- anyway
September 22, 2008
RUSH: These polls on how one-third of blue-collar white Democrats won't vote for Obama because he's black, and -- but he's not black. Do you know he has not one shred of African-American blood? He doesn't have any African -- that's why when they asked whether he was authentic, whether he's down for the struggle. He's Arab. You know, he's from Africa. He's from Arab parts of Africa. He's not -- his father was -- he's not African-American. The last thing that he is is African-American.
The Associate Press reported today that lawmakers do not see a rush is needed for health care reform.
The North Dakota senator in charge of the budget committee, Democrat Kent Conrad, says there's plenty of time for the overhaul while Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee says there's no rush.
This is outrageous rhetoric by those who already have theirs. Remember, there are more than 43 million Americans without any kind of health care. When I hear senators saying there is no rush or there is plenty of time, I say take away their health insurance, and I can bet you there will be swift and urgent legislation passed.
It doesn’t surprise me that Rush Limbaugh says he wants President Obama to fail, or, more precisely, “I want Barack Obama to fail if his mission is to restructure and reform this country so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundation.” Limbaugh is self-absorbed, and makes money by being provocative. Unlike our elected leaders, he does not need to think about the greater good of our country’s prosperity. He is interested in his own prosperity. And good enough for him. That is the capitalist way. The American Way.
It also doesn’t surprise me that members of the Republican Party feel stuck between not wanting to offend Limbaugh and his followers and not wanting to sound like they bear our new president ill will in seeing his efforts fail. Which do you support – a bully who can hurt you if you stand up to him, or the people who elected you?
What does surprise me is that no one is defining what failure means. Has anyone asked if “wanting Obama to fail” means 10% unemployment? 15%?
Does failure mean more foreclosures? How about a Dow at 5000?
I wonder if Obama failing means another trillion or so dollars paid to banks. Or is it buying auto companies, Or letting them go bankrupt and adding even more to the unemployed?
I wonder if those who listen to and agree with Rush Limbaugh think this kind of failure is ok, if it proves that conservative ideology is superior to other views.
Of course, I am one of the lucky ones who still has a job, so I can afford to think about these things.
Those who are not so lucky may also wonder: With all the crises we face as a country, why would you want any president to fail?
That's our answer to Rush. And we'll put it on a billboard right in his home town, so he can't miss it.
Americans know that when President Obama succeeds, we all do. It's time to leave behind partisan attack politics and stand behind the policies that will strengthen and renew America's economy.

The best solution as I see it is to slow down this train... take it in phases, don't just dump 700 billion out there...
do a little, see if that helps, modify as needed. and, make sure:
1) taxpayers are protected
2) the crooks get punished
3) homeowners are helped
4) main street is supported
5) oversight is added
there is no RUSH to drop 700 billion in one shot. small steps and small corrections - not something all-or-nothing which is how children think.

Alright, I have a bone to pick about this Sarah chick.
She's pretty. No, she's not pretty, she's -- downright BEAUTIFUL! Which is what is making me stark raving mad! SO many people didn't "like" Hillary because they thought she was too manly, too rough, and definately not girl enough. However, when she DID try to be girlier, she was harrassed for it. I personally think she didn't get the male vote because she was -- average looking.
Now comes along Ms. Palin and WHAM! She's got everyone's vote! Even the independents! Why? Because she is EVERYTHING HILLARY WASN'T - especially GOOD LOOKING. And the fact that she has five kids, has many a man thinking about her barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.
Now, I'm not trying to start anything, but seriously, have you tried talking to independents about the ISSUES on which Palin stands? Oh my gosh - she's practically HITLER! And if I have to listen to her complain one more time about people reporting on her family with that NASALLY voice, I will scream. I will, I will literally stand outside my door and scream!
For one thing, if she didn't want her family in the spotlight, then she shouldn't be parading them through the streets. ESPECIALLY since they are not exactely upstanding individuals.
With all the troubles her family has had, it is proof that you CAN'T always HAVE IT ALL. SOMETHING is going to suffer for the lack of parenting.
And to get back to my original point -- all her "mistakes" (Lobbyist loving, bridge to nowhere turned into ROAD to nowhere - on her call, affairs, troopergate, pregnant kids, drug ladden son who's choice was either join the army or go to jail) and the men STILL love her! Why? Because she's pretty! Unfortunately, I think a LOT of men are going to vote with their dick's this year.
I say this because as a pretty woman myself, I've seen how men fall all over themselves to please a pretty woman. And I also gather this conclusion from conversations with my daughter who is a Freshman at the University of Miami (where she is campaigning heavily for Obama) and she is running for a senator position on the Student Government. She was the Student Body President of a 3000, yes, three THOUSAND student body school and is interested in being in same position at Miami when she is elegible. She is OUT there - she talks to EVERYONE - she's also host of UMTV and has the opportunity to ask the important questions of many students - like, "who are you going to vote for?" And the guys all think Palin is a cougar, a MILF, that she's pretty enough to lead!
One more thought before I leave for today. (I have to get back to writing my book - thankfully it is heavily edited - ha ha ha, grammar has never been my strong point, neither has spelling...which reminds me - why no spell check here?)
My other thought for today is why don't some of these special interest groups working in defense of Obama (notice I didn't say working "for") come out and remind all these small minded Republicans all about the shame so many Rebuplicans have brought to the party. You know, Tom Delay, Craig - bathroom scenes and all ---------- I know I don't need to go on...the list would take forever to write...
And something else that irks me I'd like to mention before I sign off. When are the rural/financially struggling Republicans going to learn that everything the DEMOCRATS are fighting for will benefit them? NOT the Republican agenda?????? It never ceases to amaze me how these uneducated/guileless people have not a CLUE as to what the Republican agenda is truly all about. HELLO! If you haven't a job or you don't make enough to feed your family - you should be voting DEMOCRAT! But people like Rush Limbugh make it sound like Democrats are constantly pimping whores and are going to work all drugged up and that all we care about is being "immoral." WHAT????
I had a conversation with a business associate the other day and he insisted that the Republicans were the better party. And I agreed with him -- on one point. That our taxes WILL go up (we are in the 35% tax bracket) but I felt that as a person who makes more than "enough" we would will ultimately be living a BETTER life because if others can feel as though the United States is a place that plays fair in the job market, employees will work harder, get a better education, etc., thus stop that never ending cycle of ignorance and joblessness that brings forth much anger, homelessness and despair. Instead, people will learn to work in harmony, they will feel they have made a fair wage and they will be happy - that just makes it better for all of us! Not all of us are cut out for higher education, but we Do need to educate all students on how to balance a checkbook, how to save money first - then buy, how to invest, about interest rates, etc. BEFORE THEY GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL. I would recommend starting in middle school. My dad was a steel worker, it took my husband and I forever to figure out how to handle money, and we are still learning to this day. If hadn't had friends who were good enough to explain how things work and guide us on how to manage our money, we would not be where we are today. Even kids that come from nothing should be taught about money - so they will grow up respecting it, understanding they need to work for it, and how to manage it when they get it! It's not fair that Americas richest kids get this taught to them at the dinner table. We need to make this information accessible and easy to understand in layman's terms.
Look, does anyone here honestly thing that the executives at Lehman had NO IDEA what was about to happen? Or that like the 1000 employees that are losing their jobs, they will end up going without a cent also? HELL NO! Those top executives will see a terrific downfall of cash, while the employees about to retire will see absolutely NOTHING.
*taking a deep breath*
*Stepping down from my soapbox*
*reminding everyone to hug their child or someone they love today* My son would have been fighting for Obama, and I will fight to the bitter end for him also!

A new day in the American frontier, and our radio personalities continue to pick apart at what is said by both candidates running for the highest office in the land. Now I have listen to both Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity for many years as I also listen to other affiliates, But it has become evident that they have become exactly what they complain about the media of being ,Slanted . Now there are many different debates I can have on many different topics of the day but this one sticks out at me. Both Rush and Hannity bashed Mr. Obamas’s opinion of a 27 cent savings on gas as not the answer to our problems and if that’s all we will save than drilling is not the way. Now of course the proposed idea for drilling came from Mr. McCain’s plan to help drive down the cost of oil, But I have one major problem with the plan. WHY NOW IS THIS THE ANSWER??? I do believe there is a man in the White House for the last 8 years who belongs to the same party as Mr. McCain? Oh and our vice President is very experienced in the oil biz, so why has this plan not already been put into effect. Why wait till after Novembers election, DO IT NOW, SO MIDDLE CLASS AMERICANS CAN SAVE MONEY AT THE PUMP! Then again like most of the bills that go through congress and the senate, it’s full of Pork!!!! No one has the fix as long as we have to barging with the Middle East. WHY DO YOU THINK MR BUSH IS TRAVELING AROUND THE WORLD ASKING FOR SUPPORT! So when Mr. Obama says this is not a plan, His answer is not becoming of his position in Washington in plan english he is not full of S%@$. That’s because his answer is that of a working class American who has to pay this price of gas while his pay check is no where near a Washington type salaries. What makes this post sound strange is because it’s both parties fault we are in this debacle. One curses, the other swears, Can we just look at the facts and drive down the cost ASAP. I AGREE WITH MR OBAMAS STATEMENT 27 CENT X 16 GALLONS on an avg car = $4:32 savings COME ON!!! We need to find a true, fast way to bring this cost and get it back under control. Maybe we are too abusive with our usage. Than again we are one of the few countries if not the only country that can say “No thank you I do not want any seconds I am saving room for dessert... We have to stop wasting and go back to appreciating what we have. Rush says Mr. Obama wants you to give up your right to advance your technology, I think we need to just control it a little better. Hey soon what we can save on a gallon of gas under Mr. McCain’s plan we be what we are paying at the pump. I always here about these gas strikes and how it will drive the cost down, supply and demand, no demand and supply becomes surplus. Price drive up to over 6 dollars a gallon its time to start finding other ways around town, does the word Vespa sound familiar. Ask some one in Europe, They are everywhere. Mr. Obama wants the car makers to develop an automobile that get 50 gallons to the Mile. Fact or fiction, we will never now unless we try, I am middle class America, and I am tired of the same story, HEY RUSH AND SEAN AND THE REST OF MAIN STREAM MEDIA, I need a break and so does the rest of the hard working Americans, Start taking a deep look into the pork and start going after both sides, not just one man's Ideas. And maybe we can find a common ground to stand on. WAKE UP AMERICA Cause so far all I hear from Mr. Obama is the same thing I hear every day from regular hard working Americans. We are tired of all the bull that comes out of these elected officials mouths. Change, I say Change is all that I will have in my pocket if we follow another 4 years of the path we are on…. Taxes, Clintons and Bush’s make 20 years of our history and I have seen no change in the way taxes rape families. The more you make the more they take for there Pork bill funding. Immigration it’s been here before me and it will be here way after me, after all are we not the melting pot of the world? Health care, well that has a brother and its call Litigation and in till will control our justice systems and the way courts hand out awards Health care will forever rise. And the over all cost of living, try price gouging. We need to stop the constant abuse of marked up prices on every thing, to make money is fine but to rape the consumer should be illegal. A pizza pie cost 10 dollars, 400% profit is UN American and should not be tolerated.
You might see some SERIOUS BACKLASH to your false 'we are the true patriots' reputation

The Michelle Obama "Whitey" Hoax Posted 6/3/2008 7:35 AM CDT
If anyone wants a perfect example of the depths to which some will descend, and the hatred and vitriol some will display in order to attempt to destroy a candidate they despise, look no further than the current hoax going around the blogosphere about the alleged tape of Michelle Obama screaming about "Whitey" while seated next to Louis Farrakhan.
This was all started by Larry Johnson on his site, No Quarter. I’m purposely not posting a link so as not to give him any more traffic. If you want to Google it go ahead, but I would suggest not wasting your time.
Snipped from Sweetness and Light
We have refrained from commenting on this preposterous rumor because it is such a transparent ploy from a man who is (in my opinion) a notorious America-hating buffoon and pathological liar.
Apparently, many people on the internet have the memory spans of mayflies.
But lest we forget, and as I pointed out in another venue, this the same Larry Johnson who insisted that the US had nothing to worry about from terrorism — in the July 20, 2001 edition of the New York Times:
The Declining Terrorist Threat By LARRY C. JOHNSON July 10, 2001 Judging from news reports and the portrayal of villains in our popular entertainment, Americans are bedeviled by fantasies about terrorism. They seem to believe that terrorism is the greatest threat to the United States and that it is becoming more widespread and lethal. They are likely to think that the United States is the most popular target of terrorists. And they almost certainly have the impression that extremist Islamic groups cause most terrorism. None of these beliefs are based in fact… I hope for a world where facts, not fiction, determine our policy. While terrorism is not vanquished, in a world where thousands of nuclear warheads are still aimed across the continents, terrorism is not the biggest security challenge confronting the United States, and it should not be portrayed that way.

This is the same Larry Johnson who said this about Osama Bin Laden in a Fall, 2000 interview with PBS:
So, we recognize that he’s the threat. He’s serious about wanting to kill Americans, but as long as he’s in Afghanistan, as long as he doesn’t have access to a cell phone, as long as he can’t just hop on a plane and travel wherever he wants without fear of being arrested, his ability to plan and conduct terrorist operations is extremely limited. We have to recognize [that] he would like to do a lot of damage. He would like to kill Americans, but wanting to is different from being able to, having the full capabilities in place.
This is the same Larry Johnson who claims “big tobacco” is a bigger threat to our country’s security than is terrorism.
This is the same Larry Johnson who works with Ray McGovern and other turncoats to try to get intelligence officers to betray their country.
This is the same Larry Johnson who has threatened people online for posting about his brilliant career.
This is the same Larry Johnson who vouched for Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson, along every step of their shameful race to the gutter. (Indeed, no lie was too preposterous.)
This is the same Larry Johnson who vouched for the story that Karl Rove had been indicted:
Democratic Underground - Larry Johnson “Leopold Had Multiple Sources” Larry Johnson Sun May-14-06 02:17 AM It is not just Jason Leopold. Joe Wilson heard the same from other sources. And, more importantly, Jason is reporting based on multiple, more than two, sources. His editors realized what a big story this is and did the appropriate checking before posting. They are called Truth Out for a reason. Getting the truth out.

This is the same Larry Johnson who said that Karl Rove’s mother, who committed suicide in 1981, killed herself because of her son:
Karl is a shameless bastard. Small wonder his mother killed herself. Once she discovered what a despicable soul she had spawned she apparently saw no other way out. It would be one thing if his vile tactics were simply mere smears of politicians like Kerry and Murtha. They are big boys and should be able to defend themselves quite ably against this turd.
In other words, this man is (in my opinion) a lunatic who will say or do anything for attention.
And yet so many are willing to believe his latest gibberings.
Why is that?
To everyone who is still talking about "electability" and how divided the Democratic Party is: Anyone else notice the "Operation Chaos" effect in Indiana? When asked who they'd vote for in a Clinton/McCain match-up in November, 14% of Clinton voters don't plan to support her in the General. To repeat: 14% of people who cast a vote for Hillary Clinton in Indiana DO NOT PLAN TO VOTE FOR HER IN THE GENERAL ELECTION.
(Details after the jump.)
A little unorthodox of a first blog, it's more like a request, but here I go.
My Grandfather is a HARDCORE RIGHT-WING Nut. You know, the one who listens to Fox News, er, Fixed News everyday and has the AM station the broadcasts Rush as one of his presets.
The powers that be see that a Black Man is moments from becoming President of the United States. Its like the racist's and bigots met together (with their pointy hats) and all said at once; "Rush, you have to do something about that "Boy!" we can't have a coon with his finger oover the button, parading as President of the United States!" So what happened is the following:
Well I don't know for sure, but I think Obama did a damn fine job today. Good organization, good politicking, and great speech about change. Hillary is running, Edwards is floundering, the Republicans are sweating (including Huck) and Rush made comment on Obama.
