The horrifying economic picture just seems to keep spiralling downward, and nothing anyone can do at the moment seems to be likely to assuage or conceal the carnage. The one silver lining I can find to this ominous black cloud is that it serves to underscore some inescapeable truths that Barak & Co. having been crying out for many months:
We NEED change. We need REAL change. We need it RIGHT NOW!
ALL of these facts should, and apparently DO tend to increase Obama's widening lead in the polls, and so, presumably, bring him ever closer to victory in this election.
For his part, McSame has been acting like a man in obvious desparation. He continues to scramble and scrape for anything he can throw at Obama, but in so doing he has merely been proving his own insufficiencies. Day by day he's becoming more viscious and dishonest, but in doing so, he just undermines his OWN credibility. I believe he will soon be unble to convince ANYONE he can lead us anywhere we want to be.
So with all going so well for the Obama campaign, why should he look seriously at CHANGING his approach...?
A positive political message for a “CHANGE!”
Does anyone want to talk about what’s good about the candidates for the highest political office in our land? After all, positivity is good for our collective health which can only translate into good for the health of the nation, especially in economic terms. Positive feelings create positive economic impulses. All this negativity has the potential to send us into an even greater economic tailspin than we are in already.
What I like about the Democrats was in clear evidence on our television screens as we watched the convention in Denver. It is clearly the party of inclusion, one of the cornerstones of a pure democracy. In evidence was the rich and wonderful diversity that is now so celebrated in all the business literature as so important to the bottom line of Fortune 500 companies. Those who are consistently cited as the best leaders in the world, Martin Luther King, Gandhi, Mother Theresa and Nelson Mandela all enjoy that distinction primarily because of their ability to forge reconciliation and to inspire masses of people to act on their highest impulses.
Barack Obama comes across as so sincere in his deep desire to want to do the same. Just as Nelson Mandela made dramatic overtures to some of his worst detractors, many of whom ultimately realized untold benefits from the end of Apartheid and a more inclusive South Africa, one gets the sense that Barack Obama will endeavor to do the same should he be elected as President of our beloved nation. We need this example to once again be set here in America as a beacon of hope to divided nations. We simply cannot be just another divided nation. The UNITED States of America is better than that. As Nelson Mandela has shown us, it is always the actions of those who have the most compassion for the least of us that redound to the benefit of most of us.
I'm looking for ads that inspire us and bring us together. If Barack's team is about positive change, then positive campaigning should lead the way. Otherwise, nothing has changed. It's the same old mud-slinging.

This was posted on the Events, I mentioned it a couple of times at today's meeting in Ann Arbor. I am hoping that the candidates from the 11th District will attend this as well as anyone who has ideas for the 29th. At today's meeting there were three persons who we know of who are interested from the 11th District, they are Michael Siegrist (Plymouth People), Sheri Masson (active in MOVE ON) and Dr. Delener S. McCamey Phd of Northville (e-mail campaign, Kerry 04).
