But this election is so important that I think it's worth pitching in to help Obama win.
That's why I am suggesting the "$44 for the 44th" fundraising drive. Let's see if we can get our friends and family members to contribute $44 apiece to the Obama campaign between now and Election Day. I started it by giving $44 after the debate on Oct. 15.

I had a lovely time at the Westport League of Women Voter's Brunch today, attended by 91 excited people and a few of the candidates, Jim Himes and Nitzy Cohen. Their races are really vital for the Democrats. Jim Himes will push out Chris Shays after a 19-year reign, and Nitzy Cohen will make a formidable opponent vs. Joe Mioli. Talk about a time for a change. Shays is one of the old guard that really needs to get his a** out of there and not look back!
Time for a change at all levels!

MAB LAB- the lab formed in 1999 and was active until 2004-they resumed performing in 2006 after a hiatus and do 1 or 2 gigs a year. MAB LAB stands for Moving Arts Beyond Labels & Boundaries. Mab Lab will play there lone gig in 2008 in support of Barack Obama the next president of the United States. It's too long that we have had to endure the madness in the white house athough it gave us plenty of inspiration to write music that is politcally aware and socially concious.
These are pieces that were created by Obama supporters on March 16 at Paint Your Pot in Cary, NC. Over $600 was raised for the Obama campaign. Thanks to Dan the Pottery Man for making it happen! See you at the next one to be held on Sunday April 13.

The Triad for Obama fundraiser at Nitty Gritty Soul Cafe' was outstanding! The music and food was fantastic! We hope there are more events like this planned in the Winston-Salem area. Please let us know what we can do to help in the future.
