Stephen King Under The Dome
Under the DomeBy Stephen King
Stephen King Writes a Spellbinding Supernatural Novel "UNDER THE DOME"On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when -- or if -- it will go away.Dale Barbara, Iraq vet and now a short-order cook, finds himself teamed with a few intrepid citizens -- town newspaper owner Julia Shumway, a physician's assistant at the hospital, a select-woman, and three brave kids. Against them stands Big Jim Rennie, a politician who will stop at nothing -- even murder -- to hold the reins of power, and his son, who is keeping a horrible secret in a dark pantry. But their main adversary is the Dome itself. Because time isn't just short. It's running out.Stephen King’s Under The DomeBook trailers are an interesting recent development in marketing. The very concept doesn’t make a whole lot of sense at first, seeing as books don’t actually have visual scenes to make a trailer out of, but done properly, they can be pretty effective tools for creating buzz around a new novel. And sometimes, they can be pretty cool. The trailer for Stephen King’s new book, Under The Dome, falls squarely into the “cool” category. The novel follows the inhabitants of a small town that is trapped in a huge, clear dome by unknown forces. Some say King’s best years are behind him; I disagree. That’s not to say I enjoy every last one of his books – hell, the man’s written so many, there’s no way they could all be great. But when he’s on, he’s one of the best writers in modern horror (and sometimes science fiction). To me, it seems that he’s at his best when he gives himself room to breathe, page-wise. The Stand is brilliant; so is It. Both are over 1000 pages. The Dark Tower series, his masterpiece, unfolds over the course of seven increasingly long books. Under The Dome will be 1088 pages long; hopefully, that means we can expect the epic storytelling and surprisingly personal character development the author, at his best, is capable of.Check out the trailer below; it’s short, but it got me kinda pumped for this book.
UNDER THE DOME BY STEPHEN KING
VISIONS OF 2012 DOOMSDAYDear Friend,Are you tired?Tired of all the misinformation out there about 2012?If you've done even one Google search on the topic you know what I'm talking about... SURVIVE 2012Where well-meaning “experts” went wrong... and why all the governments of the world ultimately decided not to tell you the truth. What is really going to happen in December of 2012... and exactly how millions will be devastated, and your world will be turned upside down... forever. How you can safeguard your life... and the lives of your family members. Because you really can survive... and spiritually thrive in the wake of this life-changing event.VISIONS OF 2012 DOOMSDAY - (1)VISIONS OF 2012 DOOMSDAY - (2)VISIONS OF 2012 DOOMSDAY - (3)VISIONS OF 2012 DOOMSDAY - (4)VISIONS OF 2012 DOOMSDAY - (5)The Underground Kingdom of Light - 1Journey Into The Resistance Movement - 2Galatic Wars - 3Liberation of the Planet Earth - 4Vision 2012 - 5It will begin suddenly, without warning. Many scandals that will disclose true backgound about how the System works will shake human masses. Disclosures about how international energetic megacompanies earn billions selling oil, preventing at the same time inventions of free energy to come to public. Disclosures about pharmaceutical trusts that earn money with "healing" diseases that are spread with viruses created in hidden laboratories. Disclosures about efficient cures for AIDS, cancer and other diseases that are known for quite some time, unkonwn to human masses. And about world media and censorship there, which is a logical consequence of a fact that few individuals own most worldly known newspaper, media and telecommunication companies. And finally disclosures about a secret world government that has most prominent politicians as its puppets and which creates profit out of wars and human suffering for millenia, a small group of beings that you work for in your jobs and voluntarily give them a significant amount of your monthly salary. When lists with names, supported with facts will be known, human masses will arise. When facts will be known about what is happening in the stock market and where the money really goes, this will create a world stock market crash and fall of the current monetary system. Riots will begin as a consequence of released emotional energy which was suppressed for so long. In the chaos of those days members of the Resistance movement will reveal themselves to humanity and give guidance and support. They will penetrate to the surface from their undergound realms and bring along technology that will help humanity to get over those critical moments. They will cure most of currently known diseases with their medicaments. With their free energy sources they will end world energy crisis and stop environmental pollution. They will bring information that will open the eyes of people. Finally people will realize that they have lived in quarantine for millenia. Money will disappear and will be replaced with exchange of goods based upon vibrational economy. The Resistance movement will assist in establishing new world government which will be chosen by humanity with its free will and that will lead humanity based on the principles of the Galactic codex. At that point the energy field of the planet will be cleared significantly. Memories of Atlantis will be returning to people and they will begin to create a New Atlantis, a new civillization of light. Buildings will be constructed in a combination of Atlantean and modern architecture which will be in harmony with nature. Many will be in a pyramidal or half spherical shape. Spiritually developed individuals will begin to gather in New age communities, so called islands of light. Everybody there will follow his vision aligned with the divine plan in deep connection with the universe. When people will release the past, everybody will experience clarity of mind, emotional aliveness and physical health. The basic cell of society in islands of light will not be a family of personalities (father, mother and children) but a family of souls (twin souls, soulmates and other members of a soul family). People will connect there energetically and telepathically with angels, guides and extraterestrials. Through islands of light a physical connection between the surface of the planet and extraterrestrial civillizations will be established. There will be teleportation chambers in islands of light through which it will be possible to travel into the Resistance movement, for some people into the Atlantean network and also towards the Pleiadian motherships. When the network of light will be strong and stable enough this will enable mass landings of Pleiadian starships. The Pleiadians will assist humanity during its transition towards the New age and with the process of acceptance of this planet into the Galactic confederation. They will anchor energy columns that will guide planet Earth throuh its transformation during its entry into the inner section of the tachyon belt. When the critical mass of consciousness will be achieved the first wave of Ascension will occur. Motherships of the Galactic confederation will hover as brilliant white clouds above the islands of light, where teleportation beams will descend and lift the volunteers into the motherships. Those volunteers will reappear on Earth shortly in Ascended state in their rainbow bodies of light. Soon afterwards another critical mass will be achieved and the second wave of Ascension will happen. Masses of Ascended masters that will return to Earth will prepare humanity for the third wave of Ascension and for the Evacuation. Great planetary cataclisms will begin then as a cleansing of the physical matter of the planet. At the moment of most intensive cataclisms a polar shift will happen and that will trigger the third wave of Ascension with final Evacuation. Linear time as we know it will end and Earth will enter a new, higher dimension. This is a moment when the Mayan calendar ends, a moment in 2012.
This morning as always I was watching the news and I heard the news about the two terrorists that almost blew up a federal court house and a sky-scraper in Houston, Texas. One came into America When he was fourteen and recently went back for an Al Quada training camp in Afghanistan and returned and made bombs out of things he bought from a beauty store! The other was an illegal immigrent from Iran. God Bless the men and women who found these two and stopped them before billions of HEARTS were broken.
Your Friend,
Erin
I've been involved with politics for a while, and seen the view from various positions: as a grassroots activist and community organizer; as a member of the Board of Directors of an Asian/Pacific American advocacy organization; as Community Liaison serving the City of Houston under former Mayor Pro-Tem/City Councilman Gordon Quan; and as a volunteer on a number of campaigns. Now, I've been hired as Social Media Strategist and Director of Asian American & Young Professionals Outreach for Gene Locke's campaign for Mayor of Houston. (And, for the record, I was asked to work with another campaign but decided to support Locke before his office even approached me.)
Having said all of that, the one thing I look for most in a candidate is integrity. Via Wikipedia:
Integrity is consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations and outcome. [...] Integrity may be seen as the quality of having a sense of honesty and truthfulness in regard to the motivations for one's actions. The term "hypocrisy" is used in contrast to integrity for asserting that one part of a value system demonstrably conflicts with another, and to demand that the parties holding apparently conflicting values account for the discrepancy or change their beliefs to improve internal consistency.
Integrity is so hard to find in a candidate, yet so essential to a being a good one. Would you want to elect a person to government who doesn't have "a sense of honesty and truthfulness" in their motivations for running in the first place? Would you really want to be represented by a hypocrite?
Unfortunately, it seems like the answer is "yes" for many voters. Actions speak louder than words, and the fact that so many people who don't walk the talk keep getting elected drowns out any opinion to the contrary. We need to change this. We need to set our own "best example" and start electing people into office who honestly, thoroughly believe in collaborative community problem-solving, who have proven they have - and will continue to - work as hard as they can to make sure those solutions are implemented.
I hope my efforts to help Gene Locke become the next Mayor of Houston are indicative of that. I hope they are successful. And I hope that any Houstonian who wants to see our great city improve and grow will join me in supporting him. There are a few good candidates running in this election; but I chose to support and work for Gene because he has fought for civil rights, he has worked on public-private partnerships to achieve real solutions for Houston's economy and community, and he has proven he will continue to do so, whether or not he wins the election. There's a reason why Gene has won the endorsements of more people, unions, organizations, and PACs than any of the other candidates have: Gene Locke walks the talk. He has integrity. And he has earned my vote. I hope he earns yours, too.

In cities all over America, citizens are coming together to form collectives focused on implementing the changes that we have wanted for so long. We are coming together to experience a partnering with our government in unprecidented numbers and the grass-roots growth of hope that stems from the human spirit.
Here in Houston, we have launched a group that is dedicated to the hopes, dreams and wants of our community. With increasing cooperation with community, city, county and state governemnt officials and with local community organizations, businesses and schools we are making the very changes that we set our hopes for in 2008.
Join us here in Houston to create a role-model group that leaves its impression on America now and into the future.

Sometimes a picture speaks louder than beautiful words written in a blog. I think this photo says it all. The image on my iphone, held above my head, was taken right after I cast my vote for Obama in Houston, Texas.
Hey Guys,
We are almost to the end of this incredible journey…..I have had the time of my life with you!
We have made so many great friends all across the country, good people brought together by Barack Obama and this "Change" thing.
My heartfelt thanks to you for your precious contribution to this terrific effort, your friendship, and love. Thanks for all you are doing!!!
I know there are many parties, and fancy get-together plans around town for after the closing of the polls on Nov 4th, but I hope you will stop by and have one last dance with me to the "Thunder" of DJ Mark Anthony.

Ken Flippin, a texansforobama.com co-founder and statewide-director-on-a-non-rest-sabbatical was tapped months ago by the DNC/Obama efforts to help coordinate efforts in Houston, or as as we call it, the swing state of Texas.
For months, teams of dedicated folks have been wrangling America's most sprawling city into shape. One big issue has always been that, other than the Mayor, no one really runs city-wide and so cross-town strategic allegiances, heck friendships, are rare. So there are few seasoned activists to manage the GOTV efforts for a city which is larger than several states!
The demographics favor Dems, but the turnouts do not, held down in part by Republican Paul Bettencourt, the Tax-Assessor-Collector, and his imaginary voter fraud bogeymen -- even the republican atty gen couldnt substantiate his claims of any voter fraud. I think it is fair to say, his office is or should be the number one target for those interested in systemic fixes to low voter participation.
A strong Harris county turnout frightens Republicans, and they work to keep it low. Bow, imagine that office held by someone who instead worked to make it easier for qualified folks to be part of the process.
It looks like Harris might go our way his time, so peoples of Harris, my old hometown, please, take your friends, volunteer, vote early, and let's shock the nation.

The deadline for new voter registrations in most states was Monday, October 6th, 2008. USA Today mentioned 'a tsunami of new voters' were registered in many of the battleground states. In those where party preference was indicated, Democrats increased by 800,000 and the number of Republicans decreased by 300,000. The decrease was caused by people switching party preference.
In Harris County (Houston, TX) we have a different story. The current Voter Registrar, a Republican, succeeded in dropping 200,000 voters from the list of almost 2 million voters in the county. Party preference is not indicated on the application. We now estimate that, with the hard work of volunteers, we managed to sign up just that same number, 200,000 new voters. So, we struggled mightily to stay even in Harris County.
This means that the Get Out The Vote (GOTV) effort becomes even more important in Harris County. We have to urge our Obama supporters and Undecideds to "vote Straight D, and vote early". Besides getting the Obama/Biden ticket elected, we want to win back the Texas Legislature, and definitely, to replace the incumbent Registrar of Voters.

I voted for Obama here in Houston, Texas back in March 2008. I was an Obama delegate for my precinct 46 where Hillary Clinton won by a large margin. We were only able to get 4 delegates to the County Convention. We were outnumbered bigtime. I had to endure many negative comments from many of Hillary Clinton's supporters. I really felt that Obama was a different kind of politician. I should have known better! Obama is a Leo just like Bill Clinton. Leos are some of the best liars. I now believe that Obama is just another Washington Politician. I was never going to vote for Hillary Clinton. I detest the Clintons! I am not seriously thinking about voting for a 3rd Party again in 2008. I voted for Nader/Camejo in 2004. I am now leaning towards supporting and voting for Bob Barr(Libertarian) www.bobbarr2008.com My vote will send a message to Obama and the Democratic Party that when I say I want my candidate to do this, he or she better do it or else I will give my business to someone else!!! We do have choices here in the USA. It is not just McCain vs Obama. Obama has become just the other side of the same coin. This Latin from TEXAS will not allow my candidate to use me and leave me just as quickly as he left his church. Obama has no sense of loyalty. I believe if he were to become president that he would leave his wife just as quickly as he left his church. I support the Rev. Wright. I see nothing wrong in what the Rev. Wright had to say. He spoke the truth. Obama is the one who is the hypocrite. I am glad that Obama's true colors are coming now before it is too late. Obama is just like McCain. Both of them are flipfloppers who cannot be trusted. Both will say or do anything to get elected. Neither one of them is going to get elected with my vote! I have respect for myself . I rather vote for a 3rd Party and be able to live with myself. James Partsch-Galvan www.mayorgalvan.com (713)528-2607

To imply Obama is a war monger is so incredulous and ignorant that to think a man with this poor judgement wants to be mayor of Houston is downright scary!
How to get an entire freeway to honk for Obama? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4W1E8gyOgA shows a lucky event that occured a couple days before the March primaries. I was taking my son to his violin lesson, and we saw two Obama supporters on a bridge over the freeway. After the violin lesson was over, we stopped at the bridge and introduced ourselves. We bought a T-shirt and a lapel button. Later my wife and daughter joined us on the bridge. We had a great time getting people to "Honk for Obama."
