I have been a Barack supporter the whole way, however, I am completely disappointed with the nomination of Hilary for Secretary of State.Foreign Policy is the one major area they disagree on, and she is wrong. Her vote for the war was wrong, her votes to let Bush continue the war and occupation have been wrong, and her complete denial that she could have ever made a mistake is wrong.

Now that election season is in full swing i feel that i have lagged in getting behind Mr Obama. I was and still am a strong Hilary supporter. I met with resistance as so many of former Hilary supporters have in turning camps. Now is that time. I applaued Mr. Obama and his team for everythign they have acheieved and realized now that Barack and Hilary are very similiar in the people they stand for and reasons for doing so. It has been a strong fight between and for both and now we must join as one and listen to Mrs. Clinton...

By the way, I have not heard of any bailouts for taxpayers struggling to pay their mortgages.

it amazes me that there are still people saying hilary clinton is going to win on my way to school. these of course are people who chose them over some strange love.. ew. Anyways, I try to tell them constantly but people with rock hard heads tend to stay that way. Creepy, all the same.
I go through very heated debates with myself (crazy haha) and other people. If john mccain is eleced, and godforbid something happens, we are screwed with sarah palin. yes. she can shoot a caribou. Because there are s many calls about caribou on our front lawn. Alaska is like, the only place with caribou. So... useless. So yeah. She doesn't even know what her everday duties would be as vice president. she is not ready.

People are whining that Palin is being attacked because she is a woman. They are playing the gender card.
The problem here is two-fold. One, as a staunch and vocal supporter of "AbstinenceOnly", she has a pregnant, out-of-wedlock teenager - so much for her value system...Second, and perhaps much more important, she wants everyone to leave her family and it's choices alone and private, YET WANTS TO OUTLAW EVERY OTHER WOMAN'S REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM!

This is a *blatant* attempt by Karl Rove to capture the disaffected Hilary Clinton primary voters, and this time I believe he's reached too far.
I really, really hope that these voters are intelligent enough to recognize this for what it is - pandering to "steal" anothe relection. We must help them - so how can we do that? Please respond with your ideas...
DENVER -- John McCain has selected Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his vice presidential running mate, according to the McCain campaign, a surprise pick sure to shake up the race and reinforce the idea of the Arizona senator as a reformer.
The news that Palin, the mayor of a small town in Alaska just two years ago, was the pick came after CNN reported that a private plane had traveled from the Last Frontier to Dayton, Ohio where McCain is set to unveil his vice presidential pick later today. The Palin news came after the two supposed frontrunners -- Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney -- each confirmed he would not be traveling to Dayton today.
In picking Palin, McCain is taking a calculated risk. She is totally unknown and untested on the national stage but also has impressive credentials in her short time in public life.
Of Palin, former White House political svengali Karl Rove said this morning on Fox News Channel: "It would be a clear sign from the McCain campaign that they were going to be making a very strong bid for the women whom they see up for grabs -- both the traditional, swing independent suburbanites and then the Hillary Clinton supporters who remain disillusioned."
In the best case scenario, Karl Rove will have "directed" his last election - and we will win in November in a landslide.

Urgent suggestion: In Barak's speech tonight, I would urge him to "formally ask for" the votes and support of Hilary supporters and state his need for and appreciation of their votes and support. Until now, Hilary has requested/urged her supporters to vote for Barak, and the pundents including some on Barak's team have said that "they'll come around" (which can feel like taking their vote for granted) but unless I've missed it, never has Barak personally asked them for their votes and their support. I have heard this "complaint" (sense of being taken for granted) from several Hilary supporters on call-in shows, etc. and it seems like a valid one.
Senator Clinton has a vital role to play in this campaign, shoring up the supporters she so assiduously nurtured and appealing - on behalf of BO - to the working class voters of PA, OH and other key states to help him bridge that critical gap. Where is she? Why isn't she stumping for Obama every day, tirelessly, convincingly, and effectively.
It would be an incredibly effective ad so show the links between BO and Hill. We need to force her out of her inactivity in the waning days before the convention. She has to be forced to play a role. As Barack has said, this is not about personalities, it's about America. She really has the power to damage his campaign. Through her dreadful surrogates like the depressingly sour Mark Penn, she's doing just that.
We need to unite the party - and she is the key. Perhaps we need a 'positive' ad about Obama and Clinton to force her into a more active role on a daily basis.
Obama outflanked her fair and square to pick up the nom. It was her's to lose and she's not being at all magnanimous in defeat.
Forget about Hillary!
The BEST choice for Vice President is Anthony Robbins.
At least make him a special advisor to Obama. This is what this country needs. A fresh new way of thinking, putting ego aside and working for the common good of us all.
Go on Barack, give Tony Robbins a call.......He shares your values and according to the criteria that you are looking for as part of your team....he is perfect!
BTW- You have my vote in November. I am 38 and this will be the first time I voted in 20 years because this is the first time I have felt inspired.

Im so proud right now of Baracks nomination ! His speech was classy, intelligent, passionate , and he streched out an arm of invitation to Hilary, praising her sincerity,her dedication. Pumping her up.. Im alittle upset with Hilary, that she didnt even acknowledge Baracks win ?? whats up with that?
HOWEVER,we are ALL democrats, and Im sure that these 2 strong, intelligent, politically savvy people can find a way to bury their small differences and come together as a GREAT ticket, to win against McCain in November, WE ARE DEMOCRATS, this is what we DO BEST .
I hope that Barack offers her the VP spot and I hope she accepts it. We cant let this historic chance pass us by, we need to make a statement to the rest of America.
