Do Not Call List and does it apply to political calls?

I am calling people to encourage them to vote early in NC and they are complaining about I am on the DNC list and do not want any future calls.. I tried to explain that "I am not trying to sell you anything " and the DNC regulations does not apply. Help! what are the restrcitions of calling someone who is on the DNC list. I certain do not have the list or any idea about whom is on the list. Anyone?

Will Obama Stop Robo Calls?

Change starts with changing HOW you campaign.

To date, Obama has campaiged, tactically, the same way that all other politicians have done over the past 30 years.

Yes, he is different. Yes, he is inspirational. Yes, he is motivating millions of grass roots support.

This is wonderful.

What he has not done is stop the robo calls.

This is an epidemic that is invading the privacy of all American voters.

We are asking politicians to take the "do not robo call" pledge.

That is, agree not to robo call voters who sign up at the National Political Do Not Contact Registry at StopPoliticalCalls.org

So far two politicians have signed the pledge:

Virginia Foxx (R-NC)

Nancy Boyda (D-KS)

Will Barack take the pledge? Will he change the tactics of political campaigns?
