Thursday at 5pm I'll be attending a party at the Obama headquarters in Corvallis Oregon. Craig Robinson will be there which is Michelle Obama's brother. He lives and works in Corvallis at Oregon State University as a coach. I'll be attending to not only show my support but also as a photographer to shoot the event. You'll be able to check the images out at www.laineydyer.com
Obama/Biden 08!!!!!
From Michelle's brother, Craig Robinson, in his speech tonight:
If you're looking for a political analysis based on his playing, here it is: he's confident but not cocky, he'll take the shot if he's open, he's a team player who improves the people around him, and he won’t back down from any challenge.
The challenge for us is to ask, "What are we ready for?" This one is on us -- see, we like to talk about change, but we don't really like change. We want easy change, we want change that will make us feel comfortable, but that's not how change happens, it's not something that's just going to come to you passively. Things aren't gong to get better when you wish for it or you hope for it: Things get better when regular folks take action to make change happen from the bottom up. Every major, historical moment in our time it has been made by folks who said "Enough," and they banded together to move this country forward -- and now is one of those times.
Success at pick-up basketball requires toughness, integrity and teamwork. According to Craig Robinson, Barack’s brother-in-law and Brown University men’s basketball head coach, Barack has always been an outstanding pick-up basketball player. Craig believes that the same qualities that make Barack such a great player on the court also make him an effective leader off the court.
Craig visited New Hampshire this past weekend for Hoops.Action.Change., our 3-on-3 basketball tournament and community organizing activity. After volunteering at their local campaign offices to qualify, players gathered in Portsmouth, Keene, Nashua and Lebanon for the first round of tournament play on Friday. At the championship round in Manchester on Saturday, the Railroad Team from Keene emerged victorious, earning autographed basketballs and some quality court time with Barack.

"The program is designed to assist you in making a smooth transition from high school to college and gives you the advantage of starting your college career early. The program affords each participant the opportunity to take 2 summer classes (that count towards your graduation), live on campus, and create a campus network of students, counselors, faculty and staff. This network will be your support system in the summer and when you return to campus in the fall."
"The fact is I would be supporting Barack and wanting to talk to groups like this for him even if he hadn't married my sister. That vote [to let Barack into my family] was a heck of a lot harder then deciding to vote for him for President."
