Sorry folks, I tend to be skeptical. Although President Obama is by far the most promising arrival I've seen in my life-time, I still gotta say "Are you capable of 'Real Change'":
1.A foolproof capping of political contributions for all federal (non-federal?) elections. The test would be: is the cap low enough so that any candidate could fairly win without the support of lobbyists and corporations that now control legislation?
2.Prosecution of all persons for the misuse of federal bail-out money. This law would be made retro-active to include the recent misuse of bail-out funds by banks and financial institutions.
3.The passage of legislation instituting mandatory service for all persons at the age of 18 in a peace corps/military. The individual would have the right to chose which service he/she prefers, except in the time of war. During a war, and this would have to be defined, the president would have the right to change this to a military draft. If all citizens had been actively participating, and thus threatened by, the invasion of Iraq-instead of an army of mercenaries while the majority continued mall-shopping as usual-we may not have had that "tough decision" as Bush calls his big mistake. Also, we would not have shortages of troops when they are needed for our rightful defense. (Note: the draft was ended because it played a large part in the successful protest of the Vietnam War.)
These are the changes I feel need to happen. Other suggestions welcome.

Why are you painting my page with red and blue texts all of a sudden?
It's annoying!

The second film, Zeitgeist: Addendum, attempts to locate the root causes of pervasive social corruption, while offering a solution. This solution is not based on politics, morality, laws, or any other "establishment" notions of human affairs, but rather on a modern, non-superstitious based understanding of what we are and how we align with nature, to which we are a part. The work advocates a new social system which is updated to present day knowledge, highly influenced by the life long work of Jacque Fresco and The Venus Project.

Below is something that was forwarded to me. I agree 100% with the idea.
When was the last time voters were asked to play a part beyond an election? Are we prepared to answer Barack's call?
When you go to Barack Obama’s website you are met with this quote, “I’m Asking You to Believe...Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington. I’m asking you to believe in yours.”
How many people that are chanting “Yes We Can!” do you think have really thought about what this quote means? Maybe, you should pause for a moment and think about what it means to you.
If change is what you are after, getting Barack Obama in the White House is only part of the equation.
Change is defined (according to dictionary.com) as, “to make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone: to change one's name; to change one's opinion; to change the course of history.”
If “change” to you is about seeing a black man in the white house, then you are only perceiving a small portion of change should Barack Obama win the Presidency.
If “change” to you is about seeing the gas prices decrease, then you are only perceiving a small portion of change should Barack Obama win the Presidency.
If “change” to you is about keeping us safe from terrorists, then you are only perceiving a small portion of change should Barack Obama win the Presidency.
If “change” to you is about every American having healthcare, then you are only perceiving a small portion of change should Barack Obama win the Presidency.
“In a time of drastic change it is the learners who inherit the future. The learned usually find themselves equipped to live in a world that no longer exists.” –Eric Hoffer
If you believe that the issues you are facing in your personal life are solely the fault of our government then your perception of both, this election and your world, is one dimensional and while chanting “Yes We Can” today to get Barack Obama elected, you will, likely, be the very one blaming him later if you don’t perceive, receive and willingly begin to perform your part of the “We” in the chant.
So, while, statistics are proving that Barack Obama is the leadership that many United States of America citizens believe our country needs right now, the balance to “Yes We Can” is that all of us – white, black, yellow, brown or green with purple polka-dots – must be willing to do the mental and emotional work to bring about real change, first individually which will position us to develop collectively.
This quote is a plea to the willing, “I’m Asking You to Believe...Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington. I’m asking you to believe in yours;” a plea to those who are willing to believe in his ability to lead for changes that are going to be for the good of all while in the Washington White House, but more importantly in each American’s belief in their own ability to bring about change in themselves to create collective changes in our worlds from the bottom up: individual, immediate family, extended family, community, city, and state.
We can not undo what is done - not in the world, our country, or our individual lives. Change has to begin with you, and in your own life...with the choices you make. Your personal choices are solely about you, but rarely do the decisions you make only affect you.
Barack’s plea is valid to every American. Believing in your own ability is refreshing and revives individual possibilities in the face of challenging times, and challenging times are always easier when you have a mentor who can inspire and lead you where you want to go.
We must, all, be willing to acknowledge where we are – our personal beliefs and whether they are for the greater good; be willing to learn more, and make better decisions that will, ultimately, produce the collective changes we need to raise our country up.
Can “WE?”
Barack Obama, you changed the tone of the campaign this week. You brought it back to politics and policy. With all of the right policies, you should be winning in the polls.
Again, I say it: Barack, take the highest of high roads. Right now, be the change you want to see.
You want a campaign free of smears? Praise your opponents.
You want a campaign based on truth? Tell us the truth about you. Your plans. Bring it back to you.
Barach Obama, you inspired a nation during the Democratic convention. You inspired us to believe for so many months. We learned all we could about you. We had the audacity to hope.
Then McCain pulled a rabbit out of his hat and inspired his own base.
You have no more rabbits. We all know your message.
All you can bring us is you.
Inspire us again. Speak only kindness. Focus on helping in Texas, even before the financial markets. Go to Texas. Fix things! Be the hope you talk about! Be the change you promise! Start your presidency of hope and kindness and fairness today. Lead us now! Inspire us again. We need you.
What's with this new website look on my page? I don't like it. The information is not accurate, and what gives? Now I have a neighborhood tool, but I'm not in Los Angeles. I'm in Friday Harbor. I suppose I need to change some of the information I put in originally. I don't have time for this.
Change works for Barack Obama. Americans do want change; even John McCain embraces the concept. Do you know anyone who wants things to stay just the way they are? Did you ever eat or drink something, without knowing how it's made, and realize it took special treatment to make it taste that way? Sometimes when people talk about wine, they say the taste is "complex." Makers of snack crackers know that a combination of different flavors offering salt and sweet make people want their products. Formulations for best-selling products can get bewilderingly complex. The "mix" in the United States is changing. Confounding tradition, the U.S. has been complicated from the beginning. Yet most Americans would probably say they have an understanding of certain things about the U.S. and the people living there. Not so fast. Americans wanting change may not be aware of the ways the U.S. has already changed, which in turn transforms what it takes to get elected this year.

"...It's time for us as a people to start makin' some CHANGES, Let's CHANGE the way we eat, Let's CHANGE the way we live and Let's CHANGE the way we treat eachother..."
-Tupac Amaru Shakur, Changes
Tupac was calling for CHANGE, TEN years ago. Tupac did have an ability to always know what lay ahead, even his own fate.
Are we going to finally listen?
Regardless of what your musical preference may be, you CANNOT deny the words Tupac was saying. It's time we start looking past our differences on every level and truly STAND UNITED!
Thank you.
"...Misplaced hate makes disgrace to races, WE UNDER I wonder what is takes to make this, ONE BETTER PLACE let's erase the wasted..."
Well it seems like the election is still so far into the future that thinking about is just a waste of time. But when you think that in just a few years a President and his minions have made such a mess, we might need this extra time to start making a difference.
So this is a spot I can ramble and try to convince you that this man, Barack Obama, is the right person to help the country get back on the right foot.
So let's get going and see what happens on this exciting adventure!
