I ran accross the 3/15/09 60 Minutes show online, http://beta.sling.com/video/show/130320/87/60-Minutes,-031509, and I find the show pretty interesting, though Bernanke doesn't go through the entire history of the FRS. (I won't go through all of it here, but there are plenty of links and sources about the full story, if you're willing to know. Remember, Woodrow Wilson regretted creating the FRS).
About Bernanke's policies, though, IMO, he's either fooling himself or he's a pretty shrewd actor, as he seems emotionless throughout the piece (or it could be the editing).

The American Independent party founders-a group McCain VP candidate has been with over the years-has professed his 'hatred for the American government" and cursed the American flage as our 'damn flag' during a 1991 interview as part of an oaral histor project in the Rassmussen library in Fairbanks Alaska.

The Manchester Guardian a united kingdom newspaper has on its website a vidoe of Gov Palinspeaking to the American indepedent Party as Governor of Alaska during the closing ceremonies of the American Independt conventiopn. If she is a Republican,why is she speaking to a grup she supposedly left?
AS the CBS story quotes the founder sayng "the fires of hell are glaciers compared to my hatred of the Ameican government"
Compare the AIP slogan "Alaska First,Alaska Always" with the mcCain -Palin slogan "Country First'
The CBS story also quoted a current leader (remember Todd palin, Sarah's husband was secretary of the AIP for awhile) as being a "states rights party".
This calls to mind the Strom Thurmonds of old,segregationists, never never giving up, and still a hundred years later wanting tio fly the Confederate flag above the capitol in South Carolina,
It must be asked; is Sarah Palin a loyal American when she joined a party seeking diunity of our nation? She is a woman we are told who goes into things eyes wide open--so if so she must have known the founder's anti-government philosophy from the first. And the video shows she has not broken her ties with the sucessioist movement, but continues them to this very day
A new New York Times/CBS News poll shows the Republicans' convention bounce has receded, and more people name Senator Obama as the candidate most likely to bring about change in Washington, more likely to share their values, and most likely to improve our nation's relations with foreign countries.

The Pennsylvania Democratic Psrty conducted up until this weekend a Presidential Online Poll of Voters who are Democrats in that state to see who they would vote for.
Now all the other Polling firms show Clinton in a double digit lead up and through the 15th of March.
In this Poll taken here is the breakdown Purple color was Obama The Gold Color was Votes for Clinton
Senator Barack Obama out of a 1,000 online votes got 71% and Senator Clinton 28 %.

Now this goes against the other Polls in the State from other Polling people .
Remeber their is still time for people to go against the Machine in Pennsylvania .
No matter how many Democratic Mayors etc endorse Clinton betwen now and the Pennsylvania Primary its the people in the towns and communities and cities that hopefully will make up their own minds regardless of the Governor supporting Clinton.
Even if we lose Pennsylvania I believe we will win N.C. ,Indiana , and the other remaining States coming up.
Again this Poll goes against all the other Political Polls what I found interesting is that the Pennsylvania Democratic Party has someone they hired to conduct this first ever Poll for them.
Let everyone one know about this Poll including the Press I emailed this this morning to MsNBC after talking to someone in the News department by phone they were interested in this Poll.
All I can say finally to people in Pennsylvania is vote with your heart for what you want don't let any negative news decide your vote .
