COMPLAINT AGAINST POLICE OFFICIALS AN OPEN COMPLAINT LETTER THAT HAS ALSO REVEALED THE LAXITY AT GOVERNMENT MANDAL REVENUE OFFICES AND THE COLLECTORS OFFICES. THE RELATED GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES SIMPLY REMAIN ABSENT IN THEIR OFFICES WHILE THE LOWER RANK EMPLOYEES SQUAT AND CHIT CHAT RESPONDING RUDELY TO THE PUBLIC. THE COLLECTORS OR OTHER OFFICES FAIL TO DO THEIR DUTIES OF RESPONDING TO PUBLIC GRIEVANCES AND BEGIN TO HARRASS. THIS IS SHOW OF WORST GOVERNANCE BY POLITICAL PARTIES WHO ALL ARE MORE KEEN TO TAKE MONEY THAN DO ANY GOOD.

The Related Authorities,
Sir/Ma'am,
SUB : URGENT CALL FOR POLICE REFORMS :: IMMINENT & IMPERATIVE
I am a single divorcee out of a two month old arranged marriage to Sri Gregory Jesudoss in 1989. I have been compelled to approach various police stations to lodge complaints against various forms of harrassments. But it has been my unfortunate and bitter experience that the police personnel begin to harrass me all the more. There is extreme inhumanity of disrupting basic amenities like power supply or water by a group of motivated people who all organise to commit the serious criminal offences against me.
The motive is that I hold a property share along with my father and younger brother. The Property is at Plot No:4 Survey Nos:164 to 166 St No:9 Lane No:2 Tarnaka, Secunderabad-17. My father and brother living separately are adamant and do not intend to share the property with me though they had falsily promised to do so since 1988 when my mother had expired along with my eldest aunt. My genuine grievance is against the police personnel and the callous way of dealing with me. Recently I was forced to approach the Osmania University Police Station with a complaint letter against the female watchman named Venkatamma also working as maid servant to the G-1 occupants namely the elderly couple Mr G V Subba Rao and his wife Mrs G Vijayalaxmi. Though the related DCP east zone was more humane and suggested that I approach the OU Police Station.
The police personnel at the OU P.Stn. began to detain me and shout at me as if I was accused. They brought the opposite parties and heard them out as if they were the complainants. They kept detaining me even when I complained about feeling dizzy. I pointed out that since morning I was visiting offices with my grievance and had not eaten. I was also dehydrated. Yet I was shouted at and unnecessarily detained. They coult have simply conducted the enquiry with the opposite parties in my absence. They never questioned about my complaints but silently heard the opposite parties as if they were complainants. The recently posted SHO named Mr k Anjaiah and the ACP Mr M Vijay Kumar were in In-charge.
On 16/11/09 I had submitted my complaint letter against Shyam and E-seva Centre located inside the Spencer Supermarket Vidyanagar for producing fake receipt against the electricity bill payment of Rs.403/=. Even when the youngsters were refusing to refund and were behaving boisterously with me on 17/11/09, the police personnel including the police officials Mr Uma Maheswara Rao over 9490616827 failed to comply. While the constables of the Nallakunta Police Station were trying to detain me. The Police personnel have simply failed to initiate any action or enquiry whatsoever with the culprits. This outrageous bias and grudge shown towards me is totally unacceptable and unconventional. There was total inhumanity shown towards me. I cannot cope with my every day routine and life in a society where the law enforcement personnel are further harrassing and victimising me. As a citizen, earning my livelihood as a bank employee, I seek for remedial measures and police reforms in their functionalities. There was no need to conduct enquiry simultaneously with both the complainant and the opposite party. Most of the time they fail to book any cases that leads to more danger out of neglect. Despite several phone calls the policemen fail to act and do not acknowledge complaint letters submitted. They have simply dismissed my genuine grievance against the Shyam & E-seva Centre youngsters stating that it is a simple case. It is not a petty case to cheat customers by producing fake receipts and the same can cause serious consequences. As a result the Electricity Board Office can disconnect and I could be termed as a "Defaulter" despite making the payment.
I cannot live my whole life being victimised and tortured. Please find enclosed the copies of my two complaints placed with the Osmania University Police Stations & the Nallakunta Police Stations. Please serve justice against continual police inaction, racism, inhumanity, discrimination, unlaw detention, harrassment of the undersigned lady.
Please take serious note of my genuine grievance.
Sincerely, MS KOTHAKOTA ASHALATA PRABHAKAR R/o F-101 GUMMADI NILAYAM, #12-13-830/13 ST NO:1 GOKULNAGAR TARNAKA SECUNDERABAD-17. MOBILE:9703351304 / OFFICE : 23387525/834/437.
This piece is a profile about the teachers' unions, their contracts that work against rewarding teachers. I would love comments for follow up piece.

We have a saying that I am sure most of you know that starts out, “if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you.” It is a cliché used to point out the most preposterous assumptions by the most naïve people. It usually gets rolled out when only the slightest amount of thought renders an ideal illogical.
So when the pimply faced ex-pizza delivery guy (because I am sure you checked out the credentials of this perfect stranger that all of the sudden had your best interest in his heart.) who turned into a loan agent told you this did you have him explain how? Did he explain that over the next 30 years, at your 7% rate, on a $100,000 loan you would pay $250,000 plus property tax, insurance, and maintenance costs? This was supposed to be an “investment”? How many times your net (bring home) yearly salary is that? When you finally paid it off, it might be worth $200,000, although historically it would be more like $150,000 and that wouldn’t even take into the rise in cost of living over the past 30 years. So how was this a “responsible decision”? Boy, wait till you get a grasp of how a credit card works.
An investment people should A) never cost more then the purchase price you paid for it. B) Should never be worth less then the price you paid for it. C) Should have the ability to cash out (with maybe some minor penalties) and get your “initial investment” back plus whatever you have earned off of it. And D) If you loose your job, it should be a source of last resort to provide food shelter or clothing for you and your family. You should not be in jeopardy of loosing it because you lost your income. The only thing way a house might be considered an “investment” is if you are planning on leaving the paid off asset to one or all of your kids.
I suppose that you believed him when he said, “borrow to the max now, everybody’s income eventually grows” as well? So you bought shares of a bridge, and now I have to pay for it. Exactly how is the free, fair and just? The biggest problem facing this country is not its economic woes. It is that a large enough portion of our community are not able to make rational responsible decision and are not able to accept blame. I hate GWB and believe he may have doomed this country to a bitter end. But I could never bring myself to believe he was responsible for a hurricane. Now, Cheney? He may have had that kind of influence, being the Anti-Christ and all.
I'm scared! While composing my opening thoughts, I was floored by a report across a local news station. They reported that Corzine could be one of the Veep candidates or cabinet positions. For the love of GOD and the reprisal of New jersey tax payers! Please tell me this isn't true. I don't fault him for all the bad in New Jersey's government. I do fault him for not doing anything about the it despite his platform coming to the seat. He has turned a blind eye to some and have aided others (cough cough, local unions, cough cough). He doesn't care about the people on a small scale (state), so there's no way he's going to do anything different on a larger scale (federal). Stop the madness. Get him out of your mind, Knock the dust of your sandals as you leave him behind. Obama, (or camp).. NO! BAD!
Now all the criminals in their coats and their tiesAre free to drink martinis and watch the sun riseWhile Rubin sits like Buddha in a ten-foot cellAn innocent man in a living hell. When I'm gone don't wonder where I be.Just say that I trusted in God and that Christ was in me.Say He defeated the devil, He was God's chosen SonAnd that there ain't no man righteous, no not one.
The Good, the Bad, the Ugly and the BeautifulI know that I changed the title to include “the beautiful”. It seems more even to me to have two positive and two negative characteristics.
The GOOD
This campaign was officially launched one week ago. It is using techniques that proved so successful in gaining the Democratic nomination for Barack Obama. The key elements of the Obama approach include:First is the very heavy reliance on interactive internet connection between the campaign volunteers and the campaign. And, second, is the heavy reliance on non-party activists. And, third, is the reliance on small contributions from many givers. This Independent campaign for Congress utilizes the same model: interactive internet + non-party activists + small contributions from many givers.
To gather the large number of signatures required, a large number of supporters are pledging to collect a few signatures each. Thus, instead of tables set up at a few busy places, a lot of petitions are being passed around within a relatively small number of people. This strategy is “go after the low hanging fruit first”; instead of going after a lot of people that you don’t know, you go after those you already know.It is easier to volunteer if what you are asked to do make’s some sense.
The BAD
When I have attempted to go after “cold call’s”, that is strangers in neutral places, it hasn’t been easy. It led me to post this blog.
Where is Freedom of Speech ALLOWEDFriday July 18, 2008For all the lip service given to the principle of free speech, when you try to exercise it you often encounter resistance in the most surprising places. Public places are almost impossible places to practice Free Speech. Try to gather signatures on a petition that is issued by the county registrar of voters and permits the gathering of signatures in lieu of paying a filing fee to place a name on the ballot. When asked, the following said NO: US Post Offices; CITY Libraries, schools, Recreation Centers, and all other City building including City Halls. Throw in non-profits like private schools and all Churches and what is left for public discourse. Very little. So, I am left to exercise my free speech where I can. When, under Events Today, I say NEAR some public places you may have to look in the bushes, but I will be there, somewhere. You see it isn't always easy to exercise Participatory Democracy. Remember the American revolution?-Paul
And, thisPaulMy Rosa Parks MomentSaturday July 19, 2008MY “ROSA PARKS” MOMENT Let me begin by saying that some of my best friends are librarians. And let me further go on record as one who believes that the PUBLIC library is perhaps the single greatest achievement of civilized people. And let me further attest to the fact that me and my children are believers in the magic power of books and where they are kept for all to witness their wonder. So I gain no pleasure in bringing the following charges against my own neighborhood PUBLIC libraries. Nonetheless, I must do so. One would, would they not, expect that our PUBLIC libraries to have a keen interest in free access to ideas. And further to have a belief that freedom of expression and assembly are cornerstones of our democracy. I have recently requested and been given from the Riverside County Registrar of Voters a “Petition-In-Lieu of filing fee”. By gathering signatures from registered voters in this District, I can earn the right to have my name placed on the November ballot as a third candidate for Congress in this District; one Republican, one Democrat and me as an Independent. But I need to gather signatures in a very small time frame; from early July through early August. And the signatures gathered are quite a large number; about 10,000. Surely, PUBLIC libraries would be able to accommodate a request of this kind; and to provide a small space inside. Uniformly, PUBLIC libraries say that such an activity is NOT permitted inside. I am told I must be at least 100 ft away from the front door. No matter if this places me in direct 100 degree + conditions. And, further, even from this spot open to the weather, I am warned to NOT engage in any conversation unless approached by someone with a question. This struck me as miles from protecting and promoting freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and freedom of expression as one might have expected. But today I allowed myself to be so mistreated. But tomorrow will be another day, and a different story. I am 65 years old and I cannot safely tolerate the heat. I have Parkinson and two middle school children; and I am not about to lay aside my belief in participatory democracy. Tomorrow morning I will set up my card table inside Palm Desert PUBLIC library and I will gather signatures on my Petition. And, if I am free to do so, I will set up my card table inside Palm Springs PUBLIC library in the afternoon. In both places, I will be respectful and quiet as I go about gathering signatures. I will, however, resist being forced to cease by gathering inside and I will not accept an outdoor location. I have no desire to be confrontational; nor do I intend to surrender by rights. -Paul
The UGLY
The foreclosed homes, the up-side down mortgages, the loss of jobs, the high and increasing cost of everything are all part of a very ugly picture for far too many Americans. A fellow blogger put it this way: Is it not now true, not since the Great Depression have there been so many aspects of the national economy heading in the wrong direction, at one time? Lead by the crash of the housing market and spurred on by runaway fast rising oil prices and thus gasoline costs and the attendant fast rising costs of everything else deliverable, we have surely gone well beyond Recession and are teetering on economic disaster. Yet still our top leadership hints it wants us to expand our wars in the middle east in a vein attempt to control the oil fields of the world, the sources of black gold that have been raped already by the excesses of civilization and about to be massacred further by the needs of burgeoning third world and emerging world giant economies, without the so-called "restraints" of current leading countries. And from this debacle, a surprising few sit on their billions in profits while the majority are hurting, or are about to be slammed into a wall of debt and homelessness or worse, may die.
The BEAUTIFUL
For me, the BEAUTIFUL, are those I love. There is my son, who moves on to PSHS this fall. When not honing his “board” skills, he is sharpening his computer design skills. He designed and wrote the program to create the web site for this campaign. And there is my little girl, turning 10 years old in one week. An actor, singer and dancer, she lives for the stage.
Led me to post this blog:No politics in this post; hard to believe, but true nonethelessPosted 7/20/2008 11:42 AM PDT on MyDesert.com On Friday and Saturday night, I had about as much fun as a Dad can have. The Palm Canyon Theater conducts a summer theater camp for area aspiring thespians. My young (soon to be 10 year-old) Ms.Diva just completed this year's camp; her second summer. The magic that the PCT produces in five weeks is something to behold. Truly wonderful in every way.You want laughs, there were a ton; most of them intentional and created by the whole ensemble. You want talent, the cast had it up to here, and then some. You want singing, dancing, strutting, and full cast musical numbers, it was present in bushels-full measure. My hat is off to everyone: the PCT, teachers, helpers, and cast.Special tip of the hat to that soon to be 10 year-old diva of mine: you were a scene-stealer to me. (Now, Dad, what are you getting all teary-eyed about; you're going to embarrass her!)
And Ari fleischer continues to happily wade in putrid bile:

I recently received an email offering a chance at a dinner with Barack Obama for a donation. While I thought this a creative idea for fundraising, I wondered if like other businesses who use premiums to lure in new members, they were also going to ignore those who quietly support on a monthly basis, so I sent an email asking if a monthly donation would qualify as a donation for the these types of special promotions? What I got back was a form letter irrelevant to my question asking for another donation and a copy of the original dinner email. Obviously no one had actually read my email and from key words had decided on a stock pacifier! To me, this is how a good campaign loses its credibility! No response is better than an insulting one. An "I don't know, but I'll try to find out." is better than inappropriate form letters. If you don't want to answer emails, don't provide the option! If the option is provided, respect the people who take the time to write by reading what they write and responding appropriately.
