Yesterday, I had a chance to check out the SC State's Voter Registration Drive Meltdown with SC Youth Vote Director, Elizabeth Wilkins, and was more than impressed.

While it almost goes without saying that young people through South Carolina are excited and playing an active role in the movement behind Barack's campaign in the Palmetto State, it was hard not to be impressed by the dedicated volunteers that showed up in Orangeburg to help register their fellow classmates and get them excited about the Senator.

Dozens of similar voter registration events put on by Barack's youth supporters have taken place on campuses on throughout the Palmetto State this week (not to mention Wednesday's awesome High School Students for Barack Phone Bank in Columbia) making the kick off of youth program a stunning success.

Heck, for folks in the Upstate, the week's youth events aren't even over yet with the Greenville Step Show & Voter Registration Drive taking place tomorrow starting at 3pm in Bergamo Plaza.

Even though its been an amazing week, Elizabeth assures me its only the beginning and, if what I saw in Orangeburg is any indication, she ain't kidding!
