Yesterday, Barack vowed to tackle the epidemic of urban poverty at the Town Hall Education Arts and Recreation Center (THEARC) in Washington, DC.
"Poverty is not an issue I just discovered for the purposes of a campaign," said Barack, who spent three years working as a grassroots organizer in the South Side of Chicago, "it is the cause that led me to a life of public service almost 25 years ago."
