Those following the count of donors to the campaign on the front page noticed that just a short while ago we crossed the big 250,000 mark. That's a quarter million people who believe in possibility that the people can take back the political process and change our country for the better.
So who's number 250,000? Sam will have more about her in a bit -- it's a woman named Angela, and she's from Washington State. (Barack, who's in the green room about to head into tonight's debate with the other Democratic candidates, just called her from the green room.)
I wanted to post quickly to let all of you who've given this week know that in fact it was you who brought in the this 250,000th donor. Angela made her donation after reading through the passionate, personal stories from all of you.
It's pretty remarkable -- not only are your donations transforming the political process and rebuking the money-for-influence game in Washington, your stories about why you're giving are growing the movement even more.
Stay tuned to the blog for more about Angela, and tune into PBS in your local area at 9PM Eastern for the debate.
