We are out canvassing everyday--- making sure people know about One-Stop Early Voting locations that are in their neighborhood.

You can literally talk to someone, tell them where they can vote, and then have them walk right over with you and get another vote for Barack.

This is one of the most important things you can do for Barack right now.

Canvassed today in North Raleigh, knocked on 40 doors, convinced 4 unregistered to go early vote for Obama today, talked to five other Obama supporters, a lot of people away for the weekend and I left literature. One problem: The Wake County early voting flier lists a contact phone # as (919)856-5864. It was unclear from the lit piece whether that was an Obama contact phone or a Board of Elections phone number but it really didn't matter since it was a FAX number.

I came up from South Carolina to canvass today. I worked in Fayetteville and canvassed on the air force base. I was surprised at the number of supporters who did not know about early voting or were unsure of election day. We really need to get mothers and aunts and grandmothers, dads, uncles and grandfathers to make sure these young ones get out and cast a vote. An overwhelming victory in NC will end this thing. Please encourage the grown ones to reach out to their younger relatives to tell them how important this opportunity us to making history and improving this country.

Trying to get 4 tickets to the UNC DEAN SMITH OBama event tomorrow night... Went to the Morehead Planetarium today (SUNDAY) around 4 PM (a distribution site for the free tickets....no one was there....) The site was stated to be open until 5 PM
DOES that mean that the tickets are all gone?
Please advise. Because we really want tickets....

For the Obama community in reference to Rev. Wright

Wright and the Trinity Congregation have been through the proverbial valley in the biblical sense after all the character assassination and mass vilification this man of God endured at the hands of MSM who LIED and DISTORTED his sermons at every turn, death threats from supposedly "christian" extremists who now want to kill him and Rev. Moss and bomb their church in the name of Jesus....now imagine that!

I am proud that Wright's defying the odds and speaking in defense of his name, his life's work as a revered pastor and tireless service to the community.

What's the moral of this story:

1) First moral is NEVER allow anyone to do your thinking for you.

2) Second moral, SUSPEND all judgement until you DO your homework.

3) Third moral, Just because it's on tv, DOES NOT MEAN IT'S TRUE.

Yea, that interview was good. People thought it would be for Obama according to the media, and it ended up being the best thing that happen about that issue. They showed the full longer version of the parts they cut making it look like something else, from the "Americans Chickens..." and the "God Damn America". If you see the video , believe it or not you would think different. He clearly said it was the words from a White Ambassador that said Americans Chickens, where the media cut off. And God Damn America, he was talking when people confuse Government with God. In other words if they think God is the Government, they are the one damning America and the other countries he mentioned. Parts that were edited by the media to make it sound bad. It was all a BIG LIE! Obama chose a good pastor and I'm glad he didn't through him under the bus. Fox News Sucks. Well mostly Hannity. They tried to ruin Wright's image. And Wright deserves and apology!

Yes, for upcoming states. They need to be mailed by Monday, the 28th, though. Here's the info:

Same approach as before.

*Buy postcards, preferably some that reflect something distinctive about your state or geographic region. I found the best ones at local pharmacies, where a tourist might stop!

*Write a brief, personal message to another American citizen, explaining why you're supporting Barack Obama.
*Sign your name and your location (city, state).
*Add $0.26 for postcard postage.
*Leave the address section blank; this will be filled in by volunteers in Ohio.
*Mail your group of postcards to:

They have requested that we try to mail our cards no later than April 28th, since Indiana and North Carolina primaries are in less than two weeks (May 6th). I can't wait to see this game in INDIANA, one player loves to bet on games, they say plays the dirties in the league and loves to be friends with the refs, a center who also plays power forward but then you have the cool player who has the newest moves and is remaking the game, he likes to include the whole team even though he has all those moves, he plays point forward but is also very tenacious player who plays until the game is won.

In PA we saw her and Ed Rendell passively state that some voters would not vote for Barack because of race, never mind they never raised it as a problem.

Obama raised the race conversation to the national level but Hilary opted for the low road, stating she would have left the church as if that would make all the issues "go away".

They should get this guy on Meet the Press for the entire hour. EVERYONE will see him then.

Everybody should be able to view PBS...that's part of basic cable. Rev Wright was out of the country when this whole thing erupted (on a cruise I think). It's obvious, that noone controls Rev Wright, so I don't think HQ really has a say in what he says or does. He is his own person and free to do as he pleases.

Now, it will be interesting to see if the media admits that the sound bite clips were taken out of context. Instead of only focusing that he is hurting Barack.

When Terry McAuliffe, National Chair of Hillary Clinton's campaign, was head of the DNC going into the 2004 elections, he warned Senator Levin of Michigan that if Michigan tried to schedule its primary earlier than the DNC-approved date, Michigan's delegates would not be seated at the convention in Boston.

There is absolutely no doubt about veracity here. McAuliffe -- who has now been a leading spouter the HRC line about the need to seat the MI and FL delegates -- details this episode in his own political Memoir, "What a Party," in a remarkable passage excerpted below. This passage was highlighted on Mark Nickolas' blog yesterday, Link, and on Daily Kos, Link. Please disseminate far and wide. Every time any HRC supporter -- including but not limited to McAuliffe -- opens her or his mouth about MI and FL, they should be confronted with this passage:

[Begin excerpt:]

"I'm going outside the primary window," [Michigan Sen. Carl Levin] told me definitively.

"If I allow you to do that, the whole system collapses," I said. "We will have chaos. I let you make your case to the DNC, and we voted unanimously and you lost."

He kept insisting that they were going to move up Michigan on their own, even though if they did that, they would lose half their delegates. By that point Carl and I were leaning toward each other over a table in the middle of the room, shouting and dropping the occasional expletive.

"You won't deny us seats at the convention," he said.

"Carl, take it to the bank," I said. "They will not get a credential. The closest they'll get to Boston will be watching it on television. I will not let you break this entire nominating process for one state. The rules are the rules. If you want to call my bluff, Carl, you go ahead and do it."

We have a goal of 1.5 million by 5/6/08 but for the past day or so now the totals are all over the board.

It was 1,447,000 early yesterday and now it gives different totals (LESS) anytime you see it.

I believe that count only counts number of donors, so only NEW donors are counted. My theory is that that sometimes repeat donors are mistaken for new donors by the system and then they have to correct it. That's my theory.

Their methods sound OK, but I'd be more nervous if their sample was at least 1,000 people. They only polled 600, which isn't exactly sufficient if the goal is to generalize to the entire state.

"If I allow you to do that, the whole system collapses," I said. "We will have chaos. I let you make your case to the DNC, and we voted unanimously and you lost."

He kept insisting that they were going to move up Michigan on their own, even though if they did that, they would lose half their delegates. By that point Carl and I were leaning toward each other over a table in the middle of the room, shouting and dropping the occasional expletive.

"You won't deny us seats at the convention," he said.

"Carl, take it to the bank," I said. "They will not get a credential. The closest they'll get to Boston will be watching it on television. I will not let you break this entire nominating process for one state. The rules are the rules. If you want to call my bluff, Carl, you go ahead and do it."

We glared at each other some more, but there was nothing much left to say. I was holding all the cards and Levin knew it.

It's almost an axiom of politics that strongly held views about process are matters of convenience; this is a particularly clear case though.

If I were at HQ, I would hire 20,000 unemployed people to just round up people and take them to the polls to register and vote. For every person they get, give them $10. It would be worth about 2 million to get 200,000 votes!

I would also have mini busses all over every campus inthe state and have people rounding students up all day, every day to go every half hour to the place to register and vote early.

I would also have busses outside every black church on Sunday and let everyone there know that they can have a free ride to register and vote early so they dont have to wait on line on May 6th.

This would be a very good way of getting our two strongest groups, students, and African Americans out to vote.

That along with the canvassing culd assure out big victory!

Dan, it is against the law to give anyone something of value in exchange for a vote. In other words, you cannot directly buy a vote.

But, you can arrange for transportation to the polls.

"Street money" is a term they use to describe payments to the workers that help you on the day of voting. It is meant to buy them breakfast and lunch and pay for the gasoline they use to transport those who need help to get to the voting booth.

I am wondering why Hillary keep having outdoor events in Indiana. Could it be because she is broke and can not afford to keep paying for indoor venues? I am thinking that she is having outdoor events because the money is not there to keep having indoor events which is why they keep bringing up the debate issue. Bayh is campaigning with her today but there was also a governor there. Aren't governor's superdelegates? I was just wondering since Bayh has put a so called freeze on "Indiana's" superdelegates then why would a governor be there at an event today in support of Hillary.

I strolled over to hillary land to see what her supporters were blogging about! I see how passionate they are about thier candidate just like we are passionate about Obama! However i couldnt help to see just how misinformed they are over in hillary land! So i signed up to post a comment on the Blog! Many of her supporters are feeling like the Obama campaign are saying that only uneducated folks are voting for hillary isnt true! so many of her supporters are posting how many degress they have and so on! Then her supporters actually think that hamas has endorsed obama! Which is not true! So i wanted to write a comment my comment was nice and respectable.i did identify myself as a obama supporter. I also said that "the rumors have been if you supporter obama your comments may not get published and to please prove those rumors to be false then i stated that i wanted to have an intelligent conversation with her supporters" Of course the rumors are TRUE they did not post my comment! In addition i stated how HRC supporters come onto our blog and we engage in conversation with them (to the ones that have open minds) Her supporters dont seem to realize that its the media and HRC that are creating divides. when it comes to race,gender, SES (socio economic status) and educational backgrounds. I see that HRC dosent want her supporters to be exposed to the truth and to be fully engaged in the political process!

I saw all of the posts about degrees and I don't buy it for a minute. All you have do is read the comments and you can tell that the logic of the MAs and PhD's doesn't hold any water. They're probably paid bloggers trying to make Hillary look as if she doesn't have a problem with educated voters--which she absolutely does.

We had one Hillbot come here last night and accuse us of hacking into Hillary's site. The person claimed that the blog was redirected to this site--which it wasn't. The person did nothing but insult Barack and us--all the while pretending to be an intellectual who can see through Barack. It was ridiculous.

Deception is what the Clintons are all about. The media has been looking the other way concerning her and Bill and all their lies. The media has allowed her to get away with the NAFTA lie concerning Canada (Canada stated it was HER campaign that had the meeting). Why are none of Obama's surrogates pressing this and the other things in the media? Columbia, China, and Penn are three factors that the MSM has allowed her to get away with. Of course, the energy company employees are citizens and allowed to contribute to the campaign of their choice. This is merely spin.

When Barack says he doesn't take money from oil companies, he means that he doesn't take money from Political Action Committees or Federally Registered Lobbyists representing the oil industry (or any industry for that matter). However, that's a mouthful compared to saying "don't take money from oil companies". 30-second spots don't give much time to be explicitly clear to the satisfaction of lawyers who parse every word he says - is Bill officially a "lawyer" now, wasn't he disbarred?

Contributing money to Barack although you may work for Exxon is a private motivation, not one made on behalf of the corporate interest.

On an unrelated topic, I'm listening to the CNN live feed right now and BO made a reference to HRC's mandate in her health care plan. Barack always leaves out his own mandate for health care on children. This is HRCs comeback every time - usually expressed by her surrogate. I believe Barack should explain that the mandate for insurance for children is because children can't choose for themselves. Adults can have a carrot - offer affordable insurance and they'll come forward, but children can't choose for themselves so their insurance is required. And how will that be guaranteed? Fines, perhaps, I don't know. But this should be explained somewhere perhaps in the "Blueprint for Change."

Barack just gave a GREAT pitch about when its appropriate to fight and when not to fight. Being a bully on the playground is not being tough. Being tough means being able to walk away sometimes and saving toughness for when it's NECESSARY. Then BO describes things for which he's willing to fight.

I love listening to this man. I got the audio book of Dreams from My Father - it was funny hearing Barack do voices of his family from Kenya or cursing like a sailor as some of his friends did in high school.

Questions covered education, Veterans Affairs, help with special education - autism specifically, and I don't recall what else. He localized his speech well - this is the second time I hear reference to a Delphi plant closing affecting the local folks. This time he mixed it up noting that thw workers lose their insurance and pensions while executives have a golden parachute.

The quote above is one of the universally known King pearls of wisdom and one that applies especially to this nomination race and the up coming general election.

Consider that many the world over neither like nor trust politicians, reasons we neither like nor trust them is because more often than not, come election year they are gregariously congenial, enjoy popular support, seem to be ever present and confoundingly loud when seeking elected office in order to shape and mold domestic and foreign policy.

Only to dumbfound supporters and voters alike after having been elected by becoming obnoxiously insular, conspicuously absent from direct public purview/contact and subsiding into expertise at delivering carefully crafted speeches (to be sure) that are utterly devoid of meaning in terms of concrete measures to be taken in resolving problems (aka meat and potatoes), a clear elucidation of how actual problems came into being, the proactive way forward and parameters by which success or failure can be weighed/measured.

How does Barack stack up with the common negative aspects of politicians in the scenario above?

Barack has demonstrated a willingness and ability to lead on the Invasion of Iraq in terms of concrete measures to be taken in resolving problems (aka Iraqi resolution of inter-ethnic/religious conflict), a clear elucidation of how actual problems came into being, the proactive way forward and parameters by which success or failure can be weighed/measured.

He could have chosen "comfort and convenience" when running for state senate office in Illinois. It would have been incredibly easy to adopt no official position or one that was in line with that of the outgoing administration or public opinion, both then strongly in favor of the Invasion. In a "time of challenge and controversy", Barack deliberately chose to depart from the status quo at the time and was numbered among the appallingly few elected officials that opposed the Invasion from the outset, said so publicly and went into detail as to reasons why.

'Very friendly' on Fox

We won't know for sure until the Fox interview airs tomorrow, but Chris Wallace hinted that Obama didn't take the confrontational line his staff suggested he would.

In a message to TPM -- which was a major voice in the Netroots assault on Fox last year -- an anonymous Obama aide wrote:

We are clear-eyed about Fox's role in the dissemination and amplification of Republican talking points this election. They have been the tip of the spear when it comes to repeatedly broadcasting some of the most specious of rumors about Obama. He is going on their Sunday show to take Fox on, not because we have any illusion about their motives or politics in this election.

But there's another, more obvious reason to go on Fox: To reach its more conservative audience. And Chris Wallace, in an on air exchange with another Fox reporter today, described that as Obama's aim, calling the conversation as "very friendly."

It was a very friendly exchange. I think we asked them questions that fox viewers would want to hear and I think they'll be interested in his answers, but he, he very much clearly wants to reach out to the kind of moderate conservative Democrats and Republicans who watch of Fox and I think, as I say, very much wants to get away from any sense that he's a creature or a captive of the left. That was very clear throughout his more than half an hour we sat down and talked to him.

The commentators should be superdelegates like Al Gore, Donna Brasil, John Edwards and maybe even a Republican like Colin Powell. These are people who would ask serous and fair minded questions about issues that effect our country and you. Instead of non-sense questions like why don't you wear a flag pin. The network commentator should only be there to manage the event and not allowed to ask any questions.

Just curious. Even with all the "mis-speaks" she has had, why are people still undecided. Are they aware of the delegate count (she can't beat him) are they aware of Bill's connections with Columbia and China? are they aware of Her connection to NAFTA ( how the truth came out about Canada). Are they aware the Democratic party is being trashed as long as this goes on.

My HUMBLE advise to everyone...

When you reply to a TROLL, keep in mind that site admin might eventually delete the post of the TROLL, and hence making your reply seems "disjointed" and "unrelated" (and even seeming to relate to an unrelated post).

Hence, when you reply to a TROLL, it is better to take the time and include the UserName of the Troll at the top of your post (like, put - "...in reply to "the-troll's-name"...). This will help AVOID confusion. But, if the TROLL's UserName is Offensive, then use an imaginative modification of the troll's name rather than repost the offensive name.

I hope my point is understood (Love to ALL).

Here is my HUMBLE advise to everyone who post links to HRC's messages/lies...

It is more helpful to Obama, if we take the time to explain what HRC is doing about a new ad (or a new lie) she puts out, and AVOID pasting a link to HRC's messages/lies.

At least if you feel you must place a link to HRCs' messages/lies, place the link as a "NON-clickable" link in your message. In that way, those who are really motivated to look at HRC's messages/lies will have to copy and past.

My point is, AVOID making it EASY for someone to get to HRC's messages/lies (or the messages/lies of ANYONE trying to bring down Obama) through Obama's website!!!. Because you are inadvertently giving "power" to HRC's messages/lies when you simply place a "CLICKABLE" link to HRC's messages/lies at Obama's website.

Also, that is EXACTLY what a HRC supporter (or closet HRC supporter) would do. i.e. they would come to Obama's website, PRETEND they are for Obama (or at least, NOT openly show that they support HRC), then place links to messages/lies of HRC, or any other persons that are against Obama, to help SPREAD the lies or negative messages about Obama. (like using your own oil to "fry" you).

I hope my point is understood. (Love to ALL)

As a result of the response this project will go on throughout the primary campaign. We want to reach voters for the primary and set the stage for the Generals.

For those who do not like phone banking this is the event for you. Obama Supporters across the USA are writing postcards explaining why they support Obama. This is an inexpensive way to help our candidate win the other states.

On thing TaLisa requested was that you DO NOT put a date on your postcard or any state.

Write as many postcards (10 or more) as you would like and place postcard stamps on them. 4x6 postcards = $.26 stamp. Any postcard larger than this is $.41 stamp.

Who are you voting for i hope it is Barack.He thinks about the young minds and what is better. GHe loves to make ideas not do the same ones. Look at where we are at now. With gas prices and rice limits.i belive this all because of the Bush economy. John McCain says the economy is doing good, great. I think you should not vote for Hillary because will she mess up like her husband did or will she only think about whats good for elderly people.
