Friday events scheduled for Sioux Falls, Huron and Aberdeen
Connecticut U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd will visit South Dakota on behalf of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama Friday to headline an education town hall in Sioux Falls and “Change is Coming” community conversations in Huron and Aberdeen. Dodd will make the case for why Obama is the best choice in this election for South Dakotans who want to move beyond the broken politics of the past and unite people around our most important priorities: delivering universal health care, lowering gas prices and ending the war in Iraq.
Dodd is currently serving his fifth term in the Senate where he is a respected legislator who works in a bipartisan fashion to better people’s lives. Dodd is the author of the landmark Family and Medical Leave Act, and he currently serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. Dodd also serves as Chairman of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Peace Corps, and Narcotics.
Additional event details will be released as they become available.
