You are so right, William. Barack Obama is really interested in us. It isn't just rhetoric. He listens. He sees that most of us are trying to do the right thing, raise good children, try to improve the world in the very little ways that we can. The thread just below this one shows him giving a speech about poverty. He gets right down to it; he is so darn smart. How can we NOT appreciate that wonderful quality he has of finding out what our worries are and addressing them? I think WE do--but anyone who hears him speak-I want them to see it, too. In fact, I can't understand how anyone could not see that: This is a man of destiny.

I was just talking with a friend from Carson,NV who is undecided and I mentioned that I have not seen a more sincere, down-to-earth, and honest canidate, with real honest humor, and a desire to be OUR President, since my memories of pictures on televesion long after I was born in 1969 after we hit the moon because of HOPE and inspiration, and we broke racial barriers. Truly inspirational leaders give exceptional speeches! And Barack Obama delivered today in Reno, NV. Questions were answered. His dream is not a hope of sitting on your couch and just wishing, but actually a hope in your life to make a change. Barack has a repulician-turned-no party-sorry to say voted for two Bushes-turned-Democrate-janito r-turned-water, insurance salesman-turned writer, teacher, caucusing, and eventually voting for him because he has started a movement felt like no other!

Not once today did Barack Obama point the finger of blame at his rally today in Reno, NV 1/14/08. Instead, he pointed out the good in America. He truly wants our sincere, and honest reputation back. HE wants OUR strength back! And he said today in a leader's speech, just that. I have more say about what a down-to-earth person he truly appears to be--and he is knowing in his years. Such an inspiration! I saw that today live, not on youtube, but in RENO, NV LIVE! I can only offer my opinion of Barack today as I saw Him--A Barack Obama's HOPE, which is only a hope for America not reclining! You must feel the movement! I thought it was the ground shaking--And it was!

I am proud to support Barack for President. I just wonder how long the media coverage can continue to show Hillary all day long and no coverage of this great man. They are missing the story. The great American story that so many of us have exerienced first hand. Working hard, listening to others and then staying above the petty insults.
Thanks Barack for your positive image of what our country can look like.

I usually laugh at the Clinton campaign's attempts to bring Barack down into the gutter with them, but those comments by Charlie Rangel just aren't okay. How dare he imply that Barack Obama admitted his drug use only to sell books! Barack Obama is a true public servant who walked away from the quick millions he could have made on Wall Street to work directly with hard-hit communities on the South Side of Chicago! This is beyond ugly...it's disgusting. This should energize all of us to reach out to more friends and family on behalf of Barack Obama. Increasingly, it becomes clear that a Hillary presidency means 4 to 8 more years of dirty politics.

What's exciting about Barack Obama's campaign is that he will win with the coalition of Americans that he is attracting: Hispanics,Whites, Blacks,Independents,Republican s and Democrats. He will not win over the majority of every group. It's the combination of the right number of each that will lead us to victory.
He will win because of his qualities as a leader whose experience is irrefutable. I looked closely at his work as a senator in Illinois. Real HEART and ACTION. He got bills passed that most thought were impossible to get through.
My sharing this with others in my community is convicting them to vote for Obama.

Anyone else notice how the people that support Hillary cannot criticize Obama without getting downright personal.
You never see this from the Obama campaign, or for that matter any of the others.
I'd like someone to google and track the comments from all the various campaigns -- Democrats and Republicans, at this stage -- and see from which side the harshest words have come.
They cheapen the whole process. I am proud of Barack Obama for taking the high road. Tomorrow he will be able to wake up and look in the mirror and feel mighty good himself.
And more importantly, his two daughters will someday read the history books and feel a burst of pride for their father.

Yes you're saying what I'm feeling right about now. I cannot understand how people, especially the AA community are saying bad things about Barack when for almost 1 year he's stayed away from the race thing. Now, who the heck started this crap anyway. Bill & Hillary with their racial tones and remarks. They are not stupid people. They know exactly what they're doing. The said thing is some people are buying it. I'm so disgusted right about now. I'm African American and now seeing that people will do anything for money and power, no matter how down right dirty it is. Forgive me everyone, but I'm so bloody mad right now. If Hillary wins the nomination, I'm voting for a republican. God forgive me but I'd rather have George W in for another 4 years than the Clintons. I cannot stand them, and I voted for Bill twice. They're playing dirty politics to win, and pulling the AA community into it to win votes. OMG, OMG, how low can they go.

Dont let any of this stuff bother you. We must rise above the fray as well as Obama. We cannot be freightened by these tactics, for they are tactics of a desperate candidate. Over the long run People will see the Clinton's for who they are. Know that. If they dont, they will get what the deserve.
There comes a time in every successful candidate's run for office where they are attacked like this. Barack must go through the fire and show that he can truly rise above the fray. They will lie, cheat, and steal to win this election. But Barack must transcend all of it. His "dump truck" reference is the type of response necessary to defuse these statements.
Meanwhile, we must stay focused on winning South Carolina and Nevada and building a coalition. Get the message out, remind people that Obama remained above the fray. We need to stop relying on the press to spread our message and take matters into our own hand. We need to focus on what we can control - canvas, volunteer to call potential voters, caucus, etc.
YES WE CAN, but it is going to take alot of effort. Let's Get It Done!

I feel valued that shortly after our concerns, senator Obama reacted. We really need him in the white house. Maybe the Obama Team intended to act on the smear tactics in due time anyway. Who can be sure. All I know is I'm thrilled. I also noticed that Barack has been knocking on doors in Nevada and addressing voter concerns in a more specific manner, more roundtable and town halls.
Does he actually listen to and consider the voices of his supporters, like he claimed he would? It appears so. The TRUTH is so refreshing.

I agree with everything said on this thread. Our Candidate's graciousness and intelligence is a much deadlier weapon than the Clinton trash hurling.
Every time you think he is in a bind and wonder how he will respond to highly publicized lies from the other side, he comes out with amazing answers that are both positive and assertive. He has an admirable TEMPERAMENT - he is a very passionate person, but a balanced one.
The Clintons on the other hand, are not only liars, but flailing, desperate liars whose chief concern is their own well being.

"Fulfilling a Generation's Promise”----
Real Leadership for
SENIORS
Often labeled "the greatest generation," our senior citizens have seen a lot in their time. Many of them marched for equality beside Martin Luther King Jr., fought for justice with Bobby Kennedy, or answered a timeless call to service under President John F. Kennedy.
But now, many of them need help. They're concerned about Social Security or dealing with the maze of coverage for Medicare Part D. They're paying too much for prescription drugs and coping with rising costs on everything. More than anything, they're worried about the country they're leaving behind to their children and grandchildren.

I never really got to mention this in my depression the last few days since NH but I am really proud and excited to see that Sen. Claire McCaskill endorsed Barack. She has always been my second choice for VP after Sen. Jim Webb. I stronly believe that Barack should go with one of those two if not my third choice republican Sen. Chuck Hagel (which would be a way of uniting the two parties).
McCaskill is one tough cookie. I've seen her speak many times on various news shows and she knows what she's talking.
And she has an impeccable record for being so new to the senate.
Her endorsement really made me happy and I appreciate all of her efforts in serving our country.
She is one of a very small handful of true patriots devoted and working hard for the American people in Washington.

I'm glad you are feeling a little better. NH was a terrible shock. We were told by polls and pundits and the MSM that we were an average of 10 points ahead. Even Chris Matthews said just yesterday on Hardball that he was given a note at 5:30 (middle of his program) that the exit polls were confirming Obama's lead.
The pollsters and pundits have all tried to explain their error, but no one can do it.

Theresa, I have to say that it confounds me as to why you keep insisting that the polls were wrong when even the exit polls showed a decisive 8% point Obama victory.
Exit polls are highly accurate. We all saw with our own eyes the unprecedented large, optimistic crowds in NH.
We know that a private company with a history of violating election laws in CT, with a programmer who is a convicted felon and admitted to carrying extra memory cards (they count the votes in the machines) in the trunk of his car and telling employees to switch cards counted 81% of the votes in NH. Knowning how easiy these machines can be hacked and tampered with, that they have been tampered with in 2000,2002, 2004 people are still trying to do mental gymnastics to explain how so many pre election and exit polls could have been so wrong.
I just don't understand this kind of reasoning, especially when so many votes will be counted only by private companies on Feb 5th.
Please read these articles.

I hear you. I worked on John Kerry's campaign in Ohio. What the article is referring to really happened. We knew by our contact with the people over 5-6 months that Kerry had it in the bag. However, the night of the vote something went wrong. A lot of things went wrong. But I still think the main problem was the machines. That campaign really showed me that we diffently have to advocate for federal standards in our voting process.

Yes Adre, Kerry won Ohio in the 2004 general election just like Obama won the 2008 NH primary. And in Ohio, like I fear will happen in NH, the recount was tampered with and several people actually went to jail.
It has been extremely frustrating to hear people second guessing the campaign and complaining that we won't be fooled by polls again when the campaign in NH was as close to flawless as I have ever seen.
The problem now is that the NH recount will likely not uncover the tampering that took place and people will not be motivated to work for hand counts of paper ballots in the remaining primary states. I am terribly worried about SC as they vote almost exclusively with touch screen diebold machines programmed by a private company with no real oversight.
What happened in Ohio in 2004 was a travesty and I wish we had done more to redress the problem with voting machines before this very important nomination process.

Hi guys,
I have some really positive news - I just recently moved to NC from Buffalo, NY - where my parents still live. My parents were supporters of other candidates and had dug in their heels and were adament about not converting to Senator Obama.
I have been trying to convert them to our movement for the longest time, and finally sent them the you tube video of Obama at Google. This was the clincher and they loved it and were so moved by it, that they are now with us. As Feb 5th approaches - maybe their votes will be what pushes us over the edge even in NY :)
Hope is not blind optimism. It's not ignoring the enormity of the task ahead, or the roadblocks that stand in our path. It's not sitting on the sidelines or shirking from a fight. Hope is that thing inside us that insists, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that something better awaits us if we have the courage to reach for it, work for it, and fight for it. - Barack Obama
thanks,
Deepa

These grassroots movement will keep marching due to people like you approaching and encouraging their family memebers. A case in point: Senator Claire McCaskill and Rep. Zoe Lofgren endorsement to Obama due to their teen age and 2 adult family members.
Another way to encourage and engage people is to wear t-shirts and other Obama products. I wear a t-shirt this past weekend, and everyone complimented great about Obama. People of all stripes and countries are praying for Obama to win, and lets all of us focus and do what is in our hand and control!

What is wrong with Charles Rangel. I used to like the guy. Especially this statement is bizzare.
Rangel, a prominent Clinton supporter, also spoke about Obama’s admission of past drug use in his memoirs: “I assume that the book was not written for political purposes. It was honest..It was a big mistake for him to have done it [used drugs.] For him to be honest enough to write about it, I guess he thought it might sell books.”

John Lewis did just about the same thing tonight on The News Hour. Luckily, Lowery was there to rebutt his arguments and I think it ended well for Barack.
Let's do as we should and put this issue aside. Everyone knows what's going on. Let's stay focused on winning Nevada, then SC and on to February 5th. We must keep at this in a way that will help Barack.

Halperin uses the spun quote:
'Campaigning in New Hampshire last Monday, Clinton said: “Dr. Martin Luther king led a movement. He was gassed. He was beaten, and then he worked with President Johnson to get the civil laws passed. The dream couldn’t be realized until finally it was legally permissible.”)'
Uh, that's not what I heard when she was campaigning in NH last Monday (see
Link
relevant part starts at 4:08) That's some serious subsequent backtracking. I have respect for Halperin, but he's helping the Clintons spin rather than helping the American people have honest discussions. She said, quite simply, "Dr King's dream began to be realized when President Lyndon Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act . . It took a president."
I don't wish to keep fanning the flames. But I think it's important to keep the discussions as honest as possible. We should stop the madness. We should also stop the spin and the lies.

I wrote to him and chewed him out. We all need to seriously remember the people stooping so low to support the Clinton regime and work to kick them out of office in the next election. This is a movement and we need to remember who is working against us and make sure they are no longer in positions of power after this. I add Charles Rangle to my list.

I am so happy for Congressman Kucinich. I think it's a travesty of justice to have invited him and then for NBC to have uninvited him. And I'm damn glad a judge ruled in his favor.
Judge Grants Kucinich Entry to NV Debate
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Nevada judge said Monday that Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich must be included in Tuesday's candidates' debate in Nevada.
Senior Clark County District Court Judge Charles Thompson said if Kucinich is excluded, he'll issue an injunction stopping the televised debate.
The judge sided with a lawyer for the Ohio congressman, who says debate host MSNBC at first invited Kucinich to take part and then told him last week he couldn't.
A lawyer for the network said MSNBC decided to go with the top three candidates after the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries.
The judge called it a matter of fairness and said Nevada voters will benefit if they hear from more than just Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards.
The cable network and the Democratic Party are calling the 9 p.m. EST debate a chance to hear issues from Nevada's minority communities. Tim Russert and Brian Williams are moderating.

3) HRC won't be able to say Barack and John are "ganging up" on her!
4) Less time for the MSM to "re-visit" this past week--you know they'll try!
5) He gets to show everybody again that he has the 2nd best-looking wife (after Michelle, of course)! I know that's silly and shallow, but everyone dismisses Dennis when they shouldn't. Since he's not gonna win...he does beat them on SOMETHING!! I LOVE the look on his face when the camera pans on her!

Laura Hubka ~From Iowa Where It Started and Will Continue~~~
Jan 14th 2008 at 7:25 pm EST
Hello from Iowa.
I have come here tonight to tell you I have had a change of mind.
I know you may all be suprised. I have worked and worked my butt off for Barack Obama for many many months. I changed the minds of many of my neighbors and friends. I got people to caucus and to register to vote.
I have listened to YouTube,FOX, CNN, MSNBC, C-Span. I have read NYT, Des Moines Register, Newsweek, The Boston Globe, The Union Leader, Daily Kos, and a host of other publications in print and online. I have spent many and many nights here on the blogs learning and falling into the same pit with the rest of you.
I have enjoyed all of our talks and have enjoyed the ploys of the "trolls".
With the recent fighting and discouragement everywhere I have made the decision to "CHANGE MY MIND"!
I realized that there are so many things out there that sway me one way or that. I have spent the last two days in a funk, trying to figure out how I could help. That is when I decided to CHANGE MY MIND. I hope you all will join me.
Lets CHANGE OUR MINDS! ( I know I am stinging you a long arent I?)
Lets CHANGE OUR MINDS in a thinking kind of way. Lets keep our minds off the polls and the pundits and CNN, C Span, CNN and all the other naysayers.
I am honestly thinking that all this bickering is brought on to turn our MINDS away from the reality of what we have right here in front of us. It is meant to zap that HOPE right out of us, making us think that no matter how hard we work, we are going to lose. THIS IS TOO TOUGH, TO SCARY, THE ODDS ARE TOO HIGH some will start to say. That is exactly what they want. We are not paid pundits or surrogates for the campaign. WE ARE WHO WE ARE!
We are Americans, Africans, Canadians, Europeans, Cambodians and a host of all other nations combined. We have a little bit of each other in us all. JUST LIKE BARACK OBAMA.
Lets CHANGE OUR MINDS and the MINDS OF OTHERS!

Laura - I'm trying to convince folks out in Iowa to make calls to Northern California, where I think the Iowan perspective will be valuable. (In that you can say "I've seen the candidates up close and really know what they're all about".)
Here in California, the issue about Obama is still "oh, he seems nice, but does he have experience?"
You can tell people here why Iowa chose Obama.
(I know the campaign wants calling to go to Nevada right now, but there are plenty of folks calling there already, and California has millions of Democrats who probably won't even be called once each.)

Just saw an AMAZING exchange btw a Mr. Lewis a Clinton supporter who was an associate of Dr. King and Rev. Lowery, also a King associate and Obama supporter. AMAZING. And I must say, Rev. Lowery got the better of that exchange. I think the distinction was made clear that the Obama campaign did NOT raise this issue, that it was persons like Donna Brazille and Rep. Clyburn who first spoke out on this issue. Lewis tried to intimate that this was because they are leaning toward Obama, but the Rev. rightly encouraged Lewis not to read their minds or speak for them.
VERY powerful exchange, on the Jim Lehrer newshour.

This letter from Rev. Joseph Lowery speaks loudly to those who are in leadership and were apart of the Civil Rights era. We currently have leadership division in the party. The conversation should not play out in the public. But, I think Rev. Lowery gives the best argument to Barack's candidancy from my point of view. He is the co-founder & President Emeritus of SCLC and is respected as an Senior statesman and leader in the Africian American community.

SILENCE THE CLINTON'S WITH THIS ANSWER TO THE PAST DRUG USE.
Present Clinton's as out of touch. Explain the reality.
1)kids are "inhaling", snorting, and injecting at a younger age and an alarming rate. Not just experimenting but escaping their reality. This is a problem!
2)The problem is across all socio economic groups, from ecstasy, pot, coke, abuse of prescription drugs and meth labs that are cranking out poison that is killing our children
3)Role models are few, schools are crowded and underfunded, after school programs have been cut, parents are working 2 jobs to keep the wolf from the door. Kid's peers are the primary source of
guidance
4)"Reality break" I understand the influences these kids are facing and the anguish of parents who are faced with sending kids to schools that are filled with drug dealers and must walk through neighbourhoods that have drug dealers on each corner. I worked with these families and on the South Side of Chicago.
5)From an Ivory tower point of view, exploiting someone's past to make political points may make sense to my opponent but for the people whose life it is touching they appreciate some truth "I didn't inhale" is not helpful and shows the disconnect and generation gap.
6) I won't be shamed into running from my past, shame on those who try to make me. I wrote the truth because it shows that there is a "way out" for all of those who are struggling. I am someone whose has been there and is now here and that is "change you can believe in".

Hey Mary,
Obama's already talked about his past drug use with lots of teenagers. Most of us know that Obama used to smoke marijuana and do crack. He's reformed since then, and he admits he's not proud of it.
Because he brought light to this issue prior to announcing his candidacy, we've all had time to make up our minds. We've chosen, and HRC is far too late to change our minds. The more she brings the topic up, the more desperate she comes off as.
As for kids doing drugs...well, everybody does something they later look back on with disdain. You know better when you're older, but curiosity is one price to pay for being young.

1) Saying you did it, you were young, you regret it, and rising above it to everything that Barack has done since speaks volumes. I LOVE the fact that Barack said: "That was the point, wasn't it?" That's THE TRUTH! he has nothing to hide!
2) Saying you "did" it but you "didn't inhale" is triangulation and outright ridiculous. It just shows the pattern of "stretching" the truth...
If we based all adults on what they did as teenagers...

I have always thought it stupid that someone who has never done drugs could bring drug reform here in America. 35+ million citizens do drugs at least once a month. It's a real issue and we need a president that doesn't form opinions about, say, pot from the movie "Reefer Madness."

The head of the Culinary Workers Union...he was awesome, he was forceful, he hit every nail on the head, and he professed his and the Union's support for Barack multiple times!!
The spokesman for the Teacher's Union, tried...he even tried to convince people that all the schools are open on Saturdays, so that's why it's "unfair"...yeah right.
I taught school for over 30 years...there may be a maintenance person or two there, but that's it.
Besides, you don't have to be part of the Union to vote at the Caucuses, you just have to be working within 2 1/2 miles of a site. So those school janitors who work on Saturday can also go to those caucus sites and vote!
Case closed!!

"Conquer with Inaction"
Do not control the people with laws,
Nor violence nor espionage,
But conquer them with inaction.
For:
The more morals and taboos there are,
The more cruelty afflicts people;
The more guns and knives there are,
The more factions divide people;
The more arts and skills there are,
The more change obsoletes people;
The more laws and taxes there are,
The more theft corrupts people.
Yet take no action, and the people nurture each other;
Make no laws, and the people deal fairly with each other;
Own no interest, and the people cooperate with each other;
Express no desire, and the people harmonize with each other.

I hope every Nevada resident is able to use the internet or some other alternative means of accessing information to see Barack Obama at his most inspirational and astute, because they sure aren't seeing it on the ye olde telly.
I just finished watching an NSEA representative lie through his teeth on Hardball, saying that the NSEA is suing to halt casino caucuses because members such as custodial staff won't be able to vote otherwise. His justification went uncontested by the host. However, Nevada state law mandates that employers allow workers PAID leave to time vote. Custodians would in NO WAY be disenfranchised under currently existing state law - no lawsuit is necessary.

Thanks, Chris Matthews, for NOT bringing up what it took me 30 seconds to find with Google. Hardball my left foot.

You mean this?
Eligible voter is allowed "sufficient time" to vote, unless "sufficient time" exists during nonworking hours. Specifically, the employee must be granted 1 to 3 hours to vote depending on poll's distances as follows:
* 1 hour if the distance between the voter's place of employment and polling place is two miles or less;
* 2 hours if the distance is from two to 10 miles; and
* 3 hours if the distance is more than 10 miles.

Good new posting on "Huffington Post" by David Bender that starts:
"Here's something you might not know: coming out of the first two contests, it is actually Barack Obama, not Hillary Clinton, who has so far won the most votes. Because his margin of victory in Iowa was far greater than her narrow victory in New Hampshire, and because almost twice as many voters caucused in Iowa this time than ever before, Obama leads by more than 10,000 votes when you combine the two state totals.
Why is this significant? Because how you win elections is more important than just the fact of beating your opponent. At least it is if you have any interest in governing effectively once you're elected.
In these first two contests, Obama has demonstrated a remarkable ability to assemble an impressive coalition of Democrats, Independents and even some Republicans that could, if it continues to grow through November, become a New American Majority. It's a governing coalition that, in principle, could be there for either a President Obama or, if she has truly found her inspirational voice, even a President Clinton."

"if she has truly found her inspirational voice"
I listened to Hillary Clinton speak to a security officers' union today on Potus08 (XM), and I found her message to be satisfactory but her presentation to be very dull and monotone. It was quite obvious she was reading from a script. I had a hard time staying focused. She just doesn't seem to have the passion, energy and inspiration needed to arouse voters.
I think passion, energy and inspiration are characteristics of a leader who is reaching beyond their needs for the needs of a totality.
I truly believe Barack Obama is in this for the greater, rather than the lesser.
Hope knows no walls, no ceilings. Hope is like the air we all breath, sharing it between each other. It is the rainbow that bridges the sun and the rain, that calmly reaches out to you, to me.
I am filled with hope that, with Barack Obama, we can accomplish great things.

So...
How about this...Lamont organized a walk in NYC this past weekend. You can see pictures in an earlier blog
How about we all have a walk on a select day, at a select time, on behalf of the Obama campaign and change.
I know Lamont can organize a great one here : )
We do it in any major town or city that agrees. And at the same time

I'm also one in favor of a huge march on Washington. I emailed HQ to see if they had any set plans for one a couple of days ago. When you listen to the Republican pundits (Buchanan) on the talking heads shows they are all pulling for Hillary to win. They are so scared that Barack will do for the Democrats what Reagan did for the Republicans. That is to form a new American majority. Obama Republicans. He is appealihng to many people and will, when elected, get a lot more independents and Republicans than anyone expects. There is no chance of that happening for Hillary. She is the MOST DIVISIVE POLITICIAN IN AMERICAN HISTORY FOR SO MANY REASONS. Now she is even at the center of dividing the Democratic party at a time when everyone says no way a Republican will win this year. If Hillary is the nominee the Republicans will win because she has so diminished the enthusiasm and support from the African American people and young people who support Barack. Bill Clinton won two terms as POTUS because Ross PErot took a lot of votes from George Bush and he still barely won the presidency and he is THE LIKEABLE CLINTON.
Barack Obama should keep doing what he's doing. Keep his message broad and inclusive. Stay positive. The CLintons would love for him to get down in the mud with them. Then they could call him an angry Black man. When Hillary attacks, as she did during the NH debate, she is either referred to as being aggressive or when John Edwards came back at her for criticizing Obama then they are ganging up on her. She can have it noth ways. Attack and then when they attack bacl cry.
Thanks for letting me vent.

They want us to believe that they have the only surefire cure to what ails us. But there's a new treatment on the market. It's a targeted therapy--goes straight to our hearts--and the side effects are great--excitement, joy, pride, hope, and commitment.

It is my understanding that the AA community in SC are wavering between BO and HRC. They seem to not want to waste their vote on BO if he can't be elected.
Here's the solution:
Why not give BO your support in the primary...let's just see if we can't push this train through to the end.
If HCR wins the nomination(which of course she will not) what have you lost? You will still get to vote for her in the national election.

Clinton stole Barack's thunder a bit by also calling for a truce a few hours after him.
I was so irritate to find a few headlines that said, "Clinton, Obama call for truce."
I'm like ugh that woman! she realized she had been owned when Barack acted like an adult while she continued to push the issue, and so she moved to act immediately.
Anyway, his handling of this incident proves to me how mature Barack is even when Clinton tries to play dirty.

Anyway, Senator Obama has once again proven he is a true class act! Love HIM!

Obama, again must have done what he is best at - stay above the fray and presidential.
As he said it many times, Obama can seat and negotiate with any one let alone another democrat.
Most of us are like Obama, and glad he closed this ugly Clinton saga. Unlike us grassroots movements, Clintons surrogates are dirty and the election is their means of surviving and wouldn't stop stooping down, even at the cost of American and Democrats unity.
Folks, lets move on and do the tasks on hand.
There is more than 90% great comments about Obama on CNN, and if you've a couple minute just put a short note.

The last R2000 poll has us up 2% on billary, now this was only out of 500 democrats but, R2000 isn't very highly respected, so we should work even harder to increase this come saturday.

I don't know how many people have said they have been life-long Republicans but will be supporting Barack. I am so hopeful for my caucus Saturday, I hope Nevada shows we are ready for change! I am!

While I don't agree with everything that Sen Obama believes, as a broadcaster I have to say that he missed the boat on the campaign song; Barack is about, "Change..unity..and living the dream", right? Is it just me, or does ANY song capture that more then BB King's, "I like to live the love". I can't hear that song without imagining an Obama rally!

Good read. This is a no-win debate for Sen. Clinton; one could easily argue that the Civil Rights Legislation took ALOT of people to bring to fruition...President's and Senators, blacks and whites, as well as Deomcrats and Republicans. Yes, more Republicans voted for that legislation in BOTH houses. The bottom line is this; It took people willing to stand up for change...willing to do what was right! Not an argument Sen. Clinton can honestly make.

Today, i mailed in my absentee ballot and voted for Barack Obama!
Obama is such an inspiration, a breath of fresh air. He has inspired me to go back to school and better myself.
I mailed in my ballot to SC..where I live but i will be away on primary day.
I also sent two emails to Jim Clyburn, who is the only black leader i still respect.
Rev. Al Sharpton-who defended Robert Johnsons and Bills & HRC comments as "legitmate" has lost my support forever regardless of the outcome of the race.
Robert Johnson has lost my support. I will never watch BET again..maybe on youtube...but thats it. I'm calling my cable company tommorow.
Rep Charles Rangel...will lose every black support i can find in NY. Because I will e-mail every one of my friends in NY about his words and this will not be forgotten.
Rep. J. Lewis,,for his backing of HRC and her comments and critic of Obama. He no loonger has my support.
And frankly all of these Clinton loyalist AA politicians have lost my support.
Its okay for the HRC campaign to draw differences on policies but they made it "personal" on more than one occassion and their supporters have been equally depressing.
Im so glad Barack took the "high road". Its time for the "Moses" generation of AA leaders shut up and turn the power over to the "Joshua" generation like:
Barack Obama
Jessie Jackson Jr.
Rep. Harold Ford
The AA Mayor of Newark
Rep. Rick Wade in SC
and many other AA young leaders of America.
MLK was the new generation of his day..Barack is ours!
Its time that the torch is passed and this country is UNITED once again!
