One of the huge complaints in both the black and white community concerning education of black youth is their culture of anti-intellectualism. If a black kid, especially a black male in the average high school tries to achieve academic success he is branded as being "not like us."
So now we have half the country filled with "Joe six-packs and Sarah six-packs" who vote for people just like them, anti-intellectual, resentful of the educated and elites, and fearful of those with brown skins.
We have the black culture shooting itself in the foot by closing its doors to transcendence, and we have the white Americans doing the same thing when they identify with a candidate solely because he or she is "just like them."
No species survives by mating with its own family. Truth and liberation from the past can only come from outside your boundaries.
