Even Obama can't tell you the whole truth. And that's because if he did, the major forces which run the world, including all governments and all corporations wouldn't stand for it. So Barack has to make very calculated moves, primarily to protect the White House from falling in to the hands of the next war monger--John McCain.
I think Senator Obama would probably agree with two heroes of mine, but he may also know that if he openly voiced his opinion that they are right and that they tell the truth, it would be political suicide. The two heroes are Paul Hawken and Noam Chomsky.
Without devoting much space here to the ideology of both or either Paul or Noam, I will just restate a simple fact which both men would probably remind us--a charismatic leader is not the answer to our problems. Remember, I said Obama would probably agree with that. But if he weren't charismatic, he wouldn't be in the position he's in today. His charisma may get him elected, but we hope his intelligence and compassion and spiritual instincts will guide his behavior.
I think those three profound attributes which he exhibits will radiate beyond the glow of his charm and outward attraction and will ripple through the fabric of human consciousness. The time we're in is not only the time for clean energy, true democracy, social justice, universal health-care, equal opportunity for all plantery citizens, global peace and environmental sanity it is actually a time for consciousness shift. A time to renew our bond with Planet Earth and feminine energy. Right now, perhaps 3/4ths or more of readers are running the other way at my mentioning such concepts as Planet Earth as some kind of entity and feminine energyas a necessary guiding force...which is ok.
Only a few people understand this now. But whether it starts now with the election of Obama, or 1,000 years from now of further evolutionary progress of human consciousness, there is really no debating an important principle: male dominant energy and the harmful root of greed and power will eventually be overtaken. This will transpire by the mass of people who choose nurturing over forceful manipulation, who choose balance over misplaced trust in pyschotic behavior of corporations, who choose personal health over addictions to foods and medicines wrongfully manufactured and marketed, who choose to seek and find a genuine communion with a universal intelligence (by any name, whether God, Tao, spirituality, religion or even art) which will guide their every move and decision.
Obama seems to be a necessary link for these things to start taking shape NOW. But NOW may be too soon and perhaps now is NOT the time for IT to begin. Barack may loose. He may even win and turn out NOT to be the link. But one thing is certain...in this election. Barack Obama is the only candidate who qualifies for us to HOPE that 2009 will be the first year in the realm of the Divine Feminine. The first year that a US President will support the foundation of a Gaia platform.
And I want to leave you with one other thought, if you haven't pondered it before. The end of the term of our next president will be 2012. If you haven't read or thought much about that year, please google it. Tip: 2012 isn't the end of time, or necessarily the beginning of cataclysm. But it will be an important year in the history of mankind--regardless of the outcome of the election.
If Senator McCain wins, we'll have more war, more occupied countries, more advantage and power given to large corporations and less compassion for the masses of planetary citizens, especially non-Americans. Under those conditions, 2012 may be the start of the end of the human experiment.
If Obama is elected and succeeds in his role as the world leader who follows the Spirit of universal intelligence, the benefits of his policies and actions will be kicking in around the end of his first term. In that case, 2012 will be a glorious day. A new day. The light of Planet Earth will be rekindled and the bond of all men, women and children, together with all species of plants and animals will fortify the elements we all share.
My choice for this election? The candidate who is guided by the Light....Barack Obama.
