I lost my appetite watching the bit with Palin implying Obama had "terrorist ties" [never specifying the type of "terrorist" - anti-war back in Nam] and her stating the gloves had to come off 'cuz we're less than a month away [horrors] and then went on to state that "we" are the americans.
So, why can't we do the same? Sure intellectual plans are great for the mostly converted -- we eat these ideas up, but we need to take a page from the Reps and try some easy attacks counterpointed by our fabulousness, or fellow "Mainstreeters" or even political plans, but how about using some of their way too succesful tactics such as an ad where she speaks to the fact that we are just plain Americans at the end of her attack on Obama and counter with:
The typical American? How can she dare say that she is like "the good American people" and is a Maverick and Rebel who wants to challenge government intervetion in our lives, when she BANS BOOKS?
Or just what is her personal "just plain folx" economic household worth? I heard it's close to 1 million. How can that person sounding 'folksy' be able to relate to me?
And let's not forget that she can't keep communications going within her own home, teaching her right wing fanatical belief about sex prior to marriage when her own daughter rebels, or was she just uneducated enough to know to use protection during sex?
She appears to be an attractive woman, yet she walks the walk and talks the talk of a mysogist man. No woman would ever be able to justify charging $1200 to suspected rape victims to have the rape kit test. What does she think..that the victim was "asking for it"? Even if the perp was found guilty, there is no refunding then. A woman doesn't punish women, nor take away the very rights that were won so dearly, the right that allows one to be in control over her own body.
There are sound bites to be had and sloganized so they are remembered now abd become a part of our normal dialogue & speak to more people than theirs.
After 8 years of losing our rights as Americans, do we really want someone a heartbeat away who advocates banning books 4-8 years more of the same removing our inalienable rights?
is a woman who is eager to punish women by requiring that the victim pay for a rape kit the type of leader we want in power, what will she penalize us for getting a chronic illness -- or is she only after the women?

And what about her relating to "just us folks" on Main Street when she has income currently about 1,000,000,000? Here's some copy from the AP after their income disclosure:
The Palins' total income last year was split almost evenly between Sarah Palin's white-collar job and her husband's blue-collar work. Sarah Palin's salary as governor was $125,000; Todd Palin took in $46,790 as a part-time oil production operator for BP Alaska in Prudhoe Bay, plus $46,265 in commercial fishing income and $10,500 in Iron Dog snowmachine race winnings. These figures do not include nearly $17,000 in per diem payments Palin received for 312 nights spent in her own home since she was elected governor; she also has received $43,490 to cover travel costs for her husband and children.
In addition, each member of the Palin family received $1,654 in state oil royalties paid to all Alaskans.
The Palins' assets seem enviable: a half-million-dollar home on a lake with a float-plane at the dock, two vacation retreats, commercial-fishing rights worth an estimated $50,000 or more and an income last year of at least $230,000. That compares to a median income of $64,333 for Alaskans and $50,740 for Americans in 2007, according to the Census Bureau. [Snip]"
