On this election morning, I arose at 5 a.m. to get to the polls before they opened because of a doctor's appointment, and being scheduled to do some poll watching and electioneering for Barack and Joe, but, when I arrived at my voting precint at 6 a.m., there were two lines that stretched around the school. People of many diverse races, religions, age, and gender were laughing and just having a good time as if it was a family reunion. The atmosphere was filled with hope of a new day springing forth the change we desperately need. It was beautiful. Amazingly, I made it to all of my appointments with time to spare. The election board in Maryland appears to be very prepared and efficient in its' performance and expectation of a high voter turnout. It's astonishing when I consider the fact that I had my hand in history. May God shine on us all with an Obama/Biden victory.
